Well folks I thought I had my plan all figured out to strike back while the Cornballer was hot, but it seems the winds of fortune were alas not in my favor. Now it seems I've prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a sly run, if you will, so now I'm afraid I have something of a mess on my hands. I blue it, you've caught me. But before I go, I have a message to pass along from the dear departed Steven Holt. I'm... not sure what this is, but he left me an old VHS so let's just pop this in and see what...

I'd like to hear from G-Michael as to what his thought process was in changing gears from Mother, to Elohcin, and finally to Llama, making no effort to stop the lynch train on MM that you're holding MP solely accountable for.

I apologize for not being vocal during yesterday's last-minute voting free-for-all. I was so busy that I had to catch up on the thread content after the lynch was over.

I voted initially for Lucille because she was the only one of my top three suspicions that already had a vote. I switched to GOB first to see if I could attract anyone looking for another possible lynch train to latch onto in case there was a save attempt in the works for Aunt Lindsay. She actually followed my vote onto GOB. Then I switched to Gene and Aunt Lindsay followed me again. I jumped around a few more times to see if she would follow me. She followed me to everyone I voted for but Maeby.

I didn't have time at work- the Banana Stand, mind you- to post anything when they turned on my dad. Re: [Day 3] Arrested Development Mafia

To answer my own question, MP's is definitely the most believable cop claim we have in the thread. I'm not 100% sure because there is also a good possibility that the real cop is still trying to remain hidden, but that becomes more unlikely the further we get in the game. I'm still not cnfident enough in any of my reads to say who my #2 choice will be after Wilgy, but Elohcin, lovedelic, spacedaisy, and the llama have been equally mysterious to me. Lovedelic seems to be confined to some sort of penitentiary or attic the last few days.

Re: [Day 3] Arrested Development Mafia

MovingPictures07 wrote:Alright, I'm here once more, because I need to come clean with enough time left in Day 3.

Guess what, everyone? I actually am the cop. :slick:

Here are my actual peeks:

n0 - Turnip Head
n1 - Spacedaisy
n2 - DrWilgy

DrWilgy

This means that the mafia team must consist of one of these combinations:

DrWilgy, Elohcin, G-Man
DrWilgy, Elohcin, lovedelic
DrWilgy, Elohcin, Sloonei 2.0
DrWilgy, Elohcin, thellama73
DrWilgy, G-Man, lovedelic
DrWilgy, G-Man, Sloonei 2.0
DrWilgy, G-Man, thellama73
DrWilgy, lovedelic, Sloonei 2.0
DrWilgy, lovedelic, thellama73
DrWilgy, Sloonei 2.0, thellama73

If you need breadcrums, search my ISO. I never once actually seriously considered voting for Turnip Head; in fact, he's the player I've worked with most in thread. With that said, I've tried to throw out a bit of tinfoil against him and avoid proclaiming him a confirmed civilian because I didn't want him dying; nonetheless, I'm convinced with my flip (earlier) you all would have figured out that he was my real peek.

Ever since midway through d2, I've made it clear that I trust Daisy, and that's a result of my n1 peek. There's no way I would pick anyone else but her as my n1 peek.

As to why I picked DrWilgy, well, that seems obvious now, doesn't it?

As to why I fake claimed both Elohcin and G-Man, I wanted to see if I would: (1) die at Night, and (2) how players would respond. Elohcin made absolutely no recognition of my peek, not a single response. G-Man inquired very clearly as to what I meant when I claimed, then didn't claim, etc. Elohcin has made no attempt to engage me in my suspicion of her this game. This means two things to me: G-Man is very likely a civilian, and Elohcin is very likely a mafia member.

As to why I keep claiming cop and then backing off, well, it's ensured me a way to live this long, hasn't it? ;) I think it's been made clear through the behavior of others all throughout d2 and toDay that the most likely combinations are:

DrWilgy, Elohcin, Sloonei 2.0
DrWilgy, Elohcin, thellama73

And we're getting incredibly close to the endgame now, so I feel comfortable hard claiming and leaving you all with everything I know. I'd bet my reputation on one of those scenarios being the case. :srsnod:

Good luck, civilians!

Also, I love playing with all of you as well! This player list is really awesome. :D
What is the logic behind your conclusion that Elohcin's behavior = scummy? And how have you narrowed down the likely combinations to those two and either myself or llama?

I like this line of investigation from Turnip Head and G-man's response isn't the strongest thing in the thread. But, as someone who has also been at work for nearly all of the important moments in this game so far I can sympathize with his excuse, whether it's legitimate or not. Having time to chart all of the votes, but not to make any protest against a lynch that he did not support raises some suspicion. I always appreciate G-man's vote analysis, but I would prefer if it was not his only focus. Not accusing him of solely focusing on vote analysis, just accusing him of maybe possibly being bad, or at least not making an effort to stop the lynch of a perceived good guy.

You should read the thread if you haven't already :srsnod: And you are free to talk about whatever you want to talk about. I want to talk about G-Man. Do you want to talk about G-Man?
We can talk about G-man. Do you have anything to say about G-man?

According to g-man's analysis, the people not voting for Wilgy at the end of yesterday were MP, Spacedaisy, Elohcin, G-man, and myself. MP is the supposed cop who is telling us all to vote wilgy today, so we'll see how that turns out. I have not played a setup like this since I was very new to Mafia about 3 years ago, so I've been very surprised at how the role of the cop has been handled in this game so far. Could somebody tell me how likely it is for a vanilla town to fake a red cop read?

As for the others on that list, I can recall very little off the top of my head from either Elo or Daisy. I remember G-man's vote analysis which is always helpful, but I've seen him provide the exact same content as either alignment before. I was leaning toward trusting him Day 1. Then there's me, hello. I have been constantly busy while active in this game so I just can't seem to get one in the can. I work a 9 hour shift again today, so I won't be here again.

Re: [Day 3] Arrested Development Mafia

I sure took a pounding at Swallows tonight and now I'm rather beat. I see there is some mysterious force compelling us all to think my darling wife is bad, and what kind of husband would I be if I didn't act on that? DrWilgy

Let's not all sit on this big one and just lie there, though. We can take this as an opportunity to really find some answers about all our questions. Tell me, what's troubling you all? *leans forward in chair, falls over*

Re: [Day 3] Arrested Development Mafia

I got asked to cover a few night shifts at Swallows, so I'll be tied up again and I'll also be smelling to high heavens like a tuna melt all day. It seems my participation in this game is forever doomed to be minimal. I tried reading everything that happened on Day 2 but it is much harder to absorb things when I'm not actually actively involved in the events, so I don't have a solid grasp on a lot of things. Why might sorsha have been killed? I remember her, wilgy, and metalmarsh having votes (and someone else but I can't remember who) at various times when I was around yesterday, but I've failed to grasp all of the reasoning behind those cases.

Copping out here, I'm gonna keep my vote on Turnip Head. I do not have time to do my homework on all of the candidates, so I'd rather abstain from influencing today's results.

I'd rather not die here, but if I do just listen to what I've stated. Sorry I had to out you so blatantly MP. *Throws an angry face at TH and Daisy*

Linki - Does my vote not make sense though Sorsha? Both Elo and Llama (from what I can recall, I haven't relooked in abit) just go "OOOH! Lovedelic is no lynching!!!" It was opportunistic, and way too easy. My vote on Love was just a pressure vote (that should have been obvious from the "until my question is answered part"). I felt more opportunism sprouting from Elo than Llama, and I think that can be seen even more so today based on her recent posts.
I assure you, there is no room for chaos in the life of a practicing analrapist like me. But an actor, well there's a lifestyle that's sure to turn a person inside out! So I ask you, Doctor, what makes me seem so "chaos free" to you? I don't believe I've been here long enough for anyone to get any ideas about me yet.

DrWilgy should have been killed last night. If he flipped vanilla, no one would be "Seer Hunt Cleared" because Sloonei was already dead. His peak was the only one confirmed to be 100% true. DrWilgy, as a baddie, stood to gain the most by the mafia taking out a non-cop target.
This post raises a good point, though I am cautious of making a vote or read that hinges so much on a speculative theory about what may or may not have happened behind the scenes at night.

Maybe I tunneled you but at least I put myself out there.

MM has already admitted that he switched his vote off of you as soon as I voted for you, so that point is moot.
Why are you currently voting for Wilgy?

On the next... Arrested Development:

Buster starts a gambit to catch the traitor... but as to be expected, it is contrived in execution, warranting suspicion from the authorities. Turnip Head
What's contrived about it? "Contrived" is the word I'd use to describe Sloonei's post. If he wanted to know if votes were changeable, why didn't he read the rules to see? It's literally the first one.

The question seems to have been asked for the sake of asking it, or to telegraph his next move, as if to say "I'm going to vote right now, but I want everyone to be aware that it can be changed and that I am aware it can be changed". I've asked meaningless questions early in games when I've been bad before, to appear like I care about the game, which is why it caught me eye.
You are attempting to dismiss Egg's case by saying she is reading too much into one single post, which is without question exactly how you ended up on your own vote against this humble, blue Actor.
"Without question" eh? Only a Sith deals in absolutes. But I'm considering your whole ISO with my vote. I see you only making snide remarks and engaging posts on a surface level. The snark is out of character for Tobias, and it's out of character for the civvie Sloonei I (very briefly) saw in Econ Mafia, who was level-headed, discerning and analytical. You encouraged everyone to vote early, now we have a spread out vote, and you mocked the only person who said that wasn't in the civs' interest. What have you learned about the game from the early spread out votes? Who do you suspect, other than me for having the audacity to vote for you?
Sorsha wrote:Is someone picking on my Buster?
Please don't let them ship me off to army Mother...
I wanted very badly to respond to this post in my past life but I couldn't because I was at work, which in itself is a part of my response. I worked all day every day from the start of the game until the point I was lynched. I had almost no time to engage. Having said that, there also wasn't a whole lot for me to engage with. What little I was able to, Turnip dismisses as me "making snide remarks" which I assume refers to my criticism of his vote for me. That was a sincere critique and I stand by it. Turnip's Day 1 behavior seemed, and still seems, shaky to me. He latched on to me as a target early on for something very innocuous (I missed the rule that states votes were changeable, and he construed this to be some sinister ploy on my part) and then stuck with that case to the very end. This post here is really his only other attempt to address a case on Past Me. He makes reference to me not engaging enough, which is true but I've already addressed this and i don't even need to, you all know what my role was. But the point is this seems like a very weak case that Turnip seemed to stick strongly to without (from what I noticed) entertaining many other options. That is scummy behavior to me.

His final point saying I was mocking him is also a misrepresentation of what I was really saying. I was critical of his post because he announced that he wanted to help un-spread the tally, and then proceeded to vote for me, a player without any votes at the time thus further spreading the tally. I am in complete agreement that a spread out, unfocused tally is not desirable as the Day gets along, but I also believe that early pressure votes all over the place are a good thing early in the day. I've been wanting to make this post for three days and it went on longer than I intended. I'll make a last minute effort to get caught up.
