We were counting on her to vote early since Quin did so to her the previous day. And she delivered. We were around waiting for her to do so and end the day.

My team wanted to kill Quin the night before but I had this nagging feeling that we needed to lynch him instead. So that was a very pleasant feeling to get that one right.

I really didn't know how far I could go discussing items, but I did figure out it was you in there pretty easily. And you said the lanyard I sent you never did anything; I guess that one was a dud.
Well I actually lied. I was under the impression that it was good, which is why I so confidently carried out kills, since my lanyard made me unblockable, or so it said. I have no idea if it worked or not, since stanley died so early.

And lol yea, I was fairly obvious to you and timmer, though I still couldn't reveal who I was. That I told you what item I had was fairly obvious since you sent it lol.
Timmer didn't want me to be rezzed, I could tell, and when my role appeared on the front page, I thought the jig was up, but no one picked up on it openly, and luckily DB's splice shined in the darkness to get my rezzed.

Your votes had a 50% chance of being affected by the item. Your vote kept the game going in addition to Timmer's +1 hiding. You got espers lynched.

I could not believe it. But you know the thing about dead hindsight. It really is easier to see things when you're not in the thick of it. I'm not sure why, but it is. It really is. You're so far removed that you are no longer fighting for a particular side, and can take off the blinders.

And yeah, Epi was very pleased with himself that he said he was silenced AFTER POSTING DURING THAT DAY. Literally no one was calling him out on his blatant badness lol

You were most definitely a force to be reckoned with, and ironically I would qualify you as the civ MVP AND the Maria's MVP. You had no idea, and I'm terribly sorry I played you like that. Especially after I tried (and failed) to kill you. Kudos to your play this game, sir.

Our team hasn't seen Enrique or espers in like 3 days, so that was a fun obstacle.

I also want to formally apologize to bea, who will probably never trust me again.
I convinced her that she got recruited to a separate team at another paper branch. It was quite thorough. In doing so I convinced her that I had already recruited LoRab and that she was no longer a civ, but lived or died for our little team. So whenever she went to bat for me and LoRab, that was why. And she totally lost because of it. She then told me all about Phyllis and we weren't afraid to use the doctor against the civs :feb:
I was seriously having a moral crisis about it, but know that it was only a game, bea. I do mean everything I said in regards to your work though bea. And I know you can pull through it. :bighug:

Re: [Day Eight] The Office Mafia

DrumBeats wrote:Epi stealth voted for bea on the last minute in order to try to save Espers, who is confirmed mafia.
Yes, I see that. Could it be that he just didn't think espers was bad? Neither did TH, if you recall.

Playing devil's advocate, that lynch could have been LYLO, and honestly espers was not the safest vote. Hell, I don't know what I would've done in that situation. But espers, who hadn't really shown up in a while, was not that high on my radar either. Good job on catching him, but the reasoning for that lynch was lackluster at best.

If you thought that was fishy, why not go for Epi first, like timmer suggested? Instead you were SO sure that TH was bad that you kept on firing.

I just had a eureka moment!! Drumbeats, let's say for a second that you are civ. Why would Mafia keep you alive? Because you're going down the wrong path? :nicenod:

When I had that realization that I felt like I should have been killed earlier than I did, it was the day after I had accused TH. It was when I had that realization that I was going down the wrong path that I was killed. I think the Mafia was stringing me along like they tend to do when I'm vocal about the wrong guy.

It's like when I'm listening to loud cat videos and my dog comes up and barks bloody murder to warn myself, my neighbors, and the president himself that cats are taking over the world.

Could it be that youre so focused in on TH and Epi that they know they can count on you to make the wrong arguments? Lol it's one of my fears in these games that I'm gonna be a patsy in the game and actually benefit the other side. I say we open our mind to other possibilities. :shrug2:

DrumBeats wrote:@ LoRab - You can keep pulling the "You've been wrong so i don't trust you opinion" all you want, but I'm one of three people (and two alive) who have actually been right and lynched a mafia. You tried to vote Bea out instead of Espers, so why should any of us trust your opinion here? I have admitted I was wrong about the several players that have no possibility of being scum (So sorry Matt, Splints, and Spacedaisy).

However there is overwhelming evidence that SVS is mafia, and you thinking that a civilian item distribution role had to be the cause of SVS's forced vote shows that you are also making your theories match your suspicions.

I've been rewatching, and Kelly would gladly become evil for Ryan. (At least at or before Season 5, where I am at right now) Kelly's entire character is basically the clingy girlfriend who will do anything for her obcession with Ryan. Conversion would not be far off. I'm not saying that had to be what happened, I still think it is a likely option.

You specifically said earlier that there were moments where Epi's behavior made you think he was good. Show us them instead of discrediting my opinion because I've been wrong a few times this game. Again, timer and I are the only two alive who have been right, so discrediting me for being wrong on things, which everybody else has been too, is weak. I get that you don't want to vote for your scumbuddy Epi, but if you want me to believe that you two are not scumbuddies, you have to do a better job justifying your civ read of him and your suspicion of DFaraday.
If Kelly were not aligned with Town, I HIGHLY doubt that the host wouldn't make us aware of that fact in the lynch post. I've never seen a game when someone switches factions to not disclose a change of team. It would usually read "Kelly has been lynched! She was aligned with Corporate."
Also, why would she be aligned with Corporate? That doesn't make thematic sense.

Michael, however, I could see being aligned with corporate. He did get into an affair with Jan, after all. He's the only one of the employees that I can see either starting as indie or batting for the other team

TH flips civ, and you vote Epi to make sure there isn't another early end day? I'm not sure I see the logic. And I'd think if the baddies were doing another Quin situation, they'd already have gone forth with their plans.

That said, I'm finding you increasingly suspish and I'm going to vote for you, for now at least. Since you seem to be up on voting early, you surely understand.
:suspish: I voted early because DB voted extremely early with zero explanation, which is obviously reminiscent of the SVS debacle. If the vote hadn't been on me, of course I wouldn't have felt the need. You're seriously saying you wouldn't be on edge if someone immediately votes you with no reasoning in a game where someone instantly died as a result of that? Yeah, they probably would have done it already, but I was occupied during the 15 minutes or whatever between DB's vote and the time I saw it, so I reacted as soon as I could. I voted Epi because even though TH has been cleared, Epi still has been distinctly unhelpful lately, and I'm not at all convinced that he's good.

And if you have other reasons for finding me suspicious, please elaborate.
didnt TH vouch for Epi though? From observing the game on the other side, it was clear that those 2 were blatantly defending each other. TH even basically gave up there at the end, which I thought marked he and Epi as obviously bad. BUT HE WASNT. He was just a resigned civ.
On the same side of the coin, Epi's been playing for almost the entire game if I recall as a passenger, like a hitchhiker. Both he and TH campaigned and voted in a block together for a period (if i recall, so did DB and TH).

I think TH and Epi somehow knew the both were civs at some point halfway through this game. If the Scranton Strangler hadn't been lynched, I guess I could see Epi as that role mainly because we know nothing about it and it would be a separate possibility to explain Epi's aloofness. I think this aloofness can also be seen as an Epi who has likewise just thrown in the towel, and while i wish he would pick his sorry ass up and brush himself off to contribute more, I understand his strategy if he is civ: be just helpful enough to appear civ while also murking in a web of doubt so he isn't NK'd. And like TH, maybe he's seen the end of the tunnel and he's just not interested any more. He's done his before as civ.
Could he be bad? Most definitely. But this TH involvement and flip sheds serious doubt on that to me.

Why do you think you haven't been NK'd yet, DB? I'm legitimately curious.
You have the most posts in the game; you have been quite vocal during lynches, in some ways, steering the thread; hell, you helped lynch espers, which is a major plus.
But somehow you're still up and attem. I don't get the Mafia kills this game, I really dont, but something doesn't add up here. It's like if we discovered that the pyramids were actually made of styrofoam this entire time.

I think you DB had systematically been steering this thread when convenient. I can also see DF being a willing accomplice in the matter.

I'd advise against that. TH doesn't know what the hell he's doing. He's a complete fool. Like, he couldn't tell you if Christopher Lloyd is hot.

Ask him.

Hey TH, is Chrisopher Lloyd hot? Not "Would you do him?" but is he hot?
What if I vote you. Is that a bad idea?

Why or why not?

How about you tell me your current opinion on INH? You called him good.
I think you answered your own question. Do you think he is bad?

If you put my gameplay all together with what I've said recently I'm sure you can figure out why. But do what you like.
Well you make me nervous. If you are actually who I think you are claiming to be, then you are not a prudent lynch. But that you are using it as a crutch doesn't look good.

In any case, I'm not sure the next best lynch candidate. I'm gonna plop it on DFaraday for now.

But someone can certainly change my mind on another. I'm kinda floundering here for the best candidate.

Re: [Night Six] The Office Mafia

Come on guys I don't want to just slip the day away again just to have a manic EoD.

I'm voting Spacedaisy to see if I get a rise from her. This is a vote that is still in flux. But I have no reason not to give her my vote right now. Of the low posters still in, I trust her least.

How many baddies do you think we have in this game? We're still missing 6 roles from the list. It just seems like you used that number as a definite when it is anything but.

Re: [Night Six] The Office Mafia

Guys, if Merideth is still in the game, espers could have had his vote forced...again...for like the 3rd time, because he didn't vote yesterday. :shrug2:

The worst pArt is, there's no way to prove he's been forced, because he's the only one that would be forced. But that timmer vote came literally out of nowhere.

Talk to me about today's lynch.
I suspect all 4 baddies are still alive, so I'm going to try to figure out what combinations would make sense later today. Off the top of my head, I'd guess it's a mix of Daisy, Espers, Timmer, Bea, and Lorab. But that's without any actual analysis, I'll get to that in a bit.
So after the fingersplints lynch, does INH still feel genuine to you? It seems that way, since you didn't name him off the top of your head.
This statement sounds like you are certain there are 4 baddies. I mean, I made that argument that at least 1 is probably dead, but why do you sound so certain that there's 4? :mafia:
Because there are four baddies listed on the first page...
The Scranton Strangler is not there either. Doesn't mean that role doesn't exist.

Re: [Day Five] The Office Mafia

I'm sorry, Spacedaisy wasn't last to vote for splints- that honor is bea's. Who I figured was a lock for a kill considering all 6 participants of the GTH reads read her as civ. But I think fitting her into a cast right now is bonkers. I just keep wondering why she's alive (as well as me but w/e I said I was done trying to figure out NK motives)
Spacedaisy wrote:I'm not silenced, many apologies. I'm failing at multitasking. I voted and went to post, but at the same time I was trying to rush into the Syndicate Sim, which I am exceedingly late to, and I had some computer glitch issues at the same time which shut all my windows, so I forgot to post. Frankly I have no good reason for voting Splints. I have no good reason for anything, nor any great desire for anything. I simply tossed my vote out in an effort to not miss the vote.
This is a post that is like a baseball pitcher putting on a blindfold, spinning around 23 times, throwing the ball and hoping he gets a touchdown. It's really quite honest in its premise, but also says absolutely nothing of use in a game in which she only had 2 votes (if I'm counting correctly) that weren't forced by Merideth.

real life can get busy but this is laying down in the street and so egregiously non-commital I think I have to view this as a tactic.

Re: [Night Six] The Office Mafia

That little blowup by INH I read as one of two ways: a frustrated civ with a diatribe against "The Man", so to speak; or the voice of a Mafia spinster that a lot of us are accurately feeling, using his question curse as a crutch.

I want to choose to believe he's the former in this situation, and I don't for the life of me know if I can delve into him as a lunch candidate today. I don't know if his vote history is all that demonstrative as a key suspicion.

Spacedaisy and espers--

I want to hear from Spacedaisy. The longer she sits in silence the more I eye her.

I'm liking these recent contributions from espers, but I don't know if it's just a casual effort on his part to appear a part of things again.

Both of them have missed votes, but a lot of espers' votes in particular have been most likely Merideth-enforced (if she is still alive), so who the hell knows what he's really thinking.

Spacedaisy recently was the tail end of the splints train, and was not forced. So she at least had a conscience in her vote, though it also is most unhelpful, since she had no real qualms that I can see coming before the vote.

Re: [Night Six] The Office Mafia

So I'll go ahead and explain my splints vote since I did a piss-poor job of explaining it.

TH I am not so sure I was reading DFaraday as bad. I can't quite place it but his responses have not been as...measured? I guess? As when I called him out as bad in Arkham.
Splints jumped right on your case of DF and started citing things he said via bwt lynch. It felt like she was using him as a scapegoat. And since I didn't (and still don't really) suspect DF as much as others, I figured splints was the perp.

I REALLY want to hear more from enrique, espers (who is alive apparently yay!), and Spacedaisy. Especially Spacedaisy for her tack on vote for splints at the end.

Hell, for all I know, TH and Drum are a duo and I'm just too chicken to push that further. Gahhh
