Glorf, I enjoyed your civ game this go round. I figured you were civ and appreciated your contributions.
Dom, I was wrong about you.
The only reason I figured TH was bad was because of gut based on my perceived ability of NK reflection. Which turned out to be a shit treasure indeed.

Dat Wilgy/MM/INH WIFOM game was quite helpful in sniffing them out tho

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [ENDGAME]

GG gents! Thank you nijuu for surviving and getting that win for us!! And congrats to the other factions that won--

I was completely hunting for Mafia the whole time, even though Elo recruited me Night 1 after my battle. I was pretty wrong about a few notable things and I'm curious about a few things with my treasure. :scared:

Sorry I was so out of things due to real life (and not realizing the game had started). And being repeatedly silenced.

Also, WTF with Scotty saying he was silenced the same time I was if he wasn't bad? Was there another silencer that I'm missing?
I was silenced 4, 6, 12 and 14. :shrug2:

It does not. To win two duels does not equate to winning three duels. Leetic may remain my only true suspect, but I would pit him against those who are plausible enough alternative foes.
I've already answered this, and don't feel like we're seeing eye to eye on this.

Do you have info on Bass that you would like to share with the class? Because his veiled threats that his death will do damage to the town are resoundingly hollow to my ears right now.

I put him there because I don't have any feel for him. And I kinda distrust that. I figured if we're talking about people we got no read on, I'd throw his name out and see if any of you had a feeling on him.

Also, the more I think about DF, there have been moments when he's done some type of analyzing, but all of it was pretty much incorrect, and (no offense buddy) but pretty obviously incorrect, even for someone who just entered the game when it was more than half-way over. So on the one hand, I felt like - oh good, he's trying to help! But on the other I felt like - um, yeah, no. Like it was an attempt to appear to be analyzing, when it really accomplished nothing. He's been very agreeable in all his posts since Day 6, which is a tactic. It's quite blendy, tbh.

Each Night, Yuan Shao will attempt to recruit a warrior (anyone with BTSC cannot be recruited). He may recruit up to three warriors (one from each kingdom). *Secrets*

So, my theory was to wait and see who, if anyone seemed to stand up for Bass when I declared my stance on him (as him being 1 of these 2 roles). I figured if there was much of a ruckus kicked up, it would likely be from his recruited warriors, which would then identify Bass as the Yuan Shao Indy. So that's why I was formulating a theory that perhaps Zou Ci was some how roped in with the recruiting Indy, and perhaps Quin, after standing up for Bass so vociferously.

To be clear, I have no problem with Yuan Shao or his recruits, I was simply using that as a basis for my theory of identifying which of those 2 roles Bass has. Ya dig?

Here's the math. We know realistically that there can only be one remaining Nanman and one remaining YT. Blooper is at least active enough to drop in seemingly random votes every phase. There was no kill last night, and Epi seemed very mum on revealing if a team has been eliminated.

I've already previously stated that I thought TH was Mafia, and even if he wasn't, there is a chance that one of the several nightkills from the YT could have been Nanman.

Unless you think there is still one left who hasn't been paying attention since Mac died and a kill wasn't submitted..which if that's the case, then the only two people who missed the vote yesterday are Bass and Aragorn.

I think Bass is our best choice to battle, because even if he loses, he still has a suspicious cloud looming over him IMO, whereas I think a ninja vote is non productive.

Unless there really is a nanman left, whoever I vote that isn't leetic will be based on indie hunting. nijuu fits the description of an indie Dong Zhuo waiting for their role to activate better than Bass at this point, because she's the one who's coasting. Neither of them has appeared particularly gung-ho about lynching the YT's specifically which I would expect to see from someone eager to get that going.
Why are we assuming Zhou Dong is waiting in some sort of limbo? Wouldn't it be in his best interest to appear as civ as possible?

And anyway, Bass fits your description perfectly.

Let's also look at it this way- you have won two duels already and even if you're good, your odds of beating leetic is slightly better than the rest of us.

Our immediate priority is nanman, who is very likely to be some of our active players. YT hasn't killed in a long while, they're probably wiped out. I wouldn't put it passed the Bad guys to use this as a distraction from the real issue at hand.
On the flip side, if you just subbed into Jan and she was YT, it would have been a stupid move to kill last night because we would put 2 and 2 together. So this could be a great time for you to lay low for a while as we attempt to pick off the Nanman.

All being said, i agree with you, but I'm not going to leave that rock overturned.
That is an odd suspicion of me. I'm pretty sure there was another sub before me, wouldn't such a claim be just as likely for that person too?

Frankly I don't at all like how you've come to that conclusion.
It's hardly a conclusion. It's a scenario im putting out there as a possibility. Yes there are others that have subbed in since, but since you popped in to start talking about leaving inactives alone, and that the YT is probably wiped out, I found it noteworthy.

Nonetheless I am not currently suspecting you. If kills start trickling in from YT, things might start getting interesting.

I don't personally think this will happen- I'm more confident one of the more active people is the indie leader waiting for the YT to be wiped out or else that guy is one of the inactives. I see no negative consequence from voting the inactives at this point.

Now that we're down to a smaller pool I can look over everyone more closely. It's hard for me to devote the energy to analyzing everyone when there are 30 other players around, but I'll give my reads on the remaining players later this phase.

Regarding the two picks you mentioned, I think Boom would be a better option than Mac. I think Mac's early vote on Wilgy is a good look for him not being Nanman. Boomslang did vote for MM, but it came late enough that MM was pretty much a lock to duel, so I think it's more plausible that Boom was bussing a teammate than Mac.

Because I'm loud, proud and in charge!
Quin wrote:You were silenced on Day 6, right Mac?
I was silenced days 4, 6, and 12, for reference.
Aragorn wrote:YT hasn't had a kill since Night 7, which leads me to believe that the team is probably wiped out. Yes, there is a possibility that one of the inactive players is the remaining player, but YT clearly isn't our biggest threat right now.
If the YT are wiped out, then our friend Mr LMS is alive and also is not killing. Or is choosing not to kill for strategic purposes.

I think that you are probably right about who he is but I don't think that makes him the same guy he was before. What if he is the 'apparition' that YT dude summons? YT did have a smaller team tha Nanman. Perhaps this is the balancing mechanic. Summon an aparition sock that a dead player controls. Joins your team but can't perform kills?

The guy who inherits the YT kill is still alive. So that means most likely there is a YT alive. That means it is either one of the absentees or something else. Zuo Ci is a big something else.
That...actually makes sense.

I just don't know if it's the best course of action sending someone that's not exactly posing a threat to us into battle.

Do you feel that looking into any of the Simon voters would yield us anything? I found him to be quite an odd vote choice, even after (or maybe especially after) reading his ISO. That's something I'll be open to looking into this day phase too.

And agreed with the Jan/Aragorn business.
I don't know. People have been bringing up Simon for a while because of his readiness all game to duel. Now he's dueled, and has a treasure like he wanted. I don't find people voting for him on account of his eagerness to duel as a bad look necessarily. MP wanted to duel; though so did Caps or timmer. So...it's more of a lazy vote.

I am not terribly concerned about being NKed atm. Hence why I let 'er rip yesterday, even if I was wrong. :scared:

I thought from your entrance and effort put forth that you are a prime candidate for the leader dude that takes over for the YT kill.

Is that also why you're not scared to be NK'd?

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 13]

I think Boomslang is as good a candidate as any for the Nanman. Indiglo mentioned some things that Boom doesn't look good in.
And maybe Mac. He disappeared from day 8 to...uh...some time recently. Someone started talking about him in day 12 I think it was, and he was there to regurgitate some snark. So he is paying attention, but only soooo much.

Would it be more prudent to keep voting for Nanman scum since we are relatively safe from YT kills for now, or so it would seem? I could very well vote for Mac and Boom.

I'm still torn between DF and Dom as secondary candidates for Nanman. They're both just sneaking by.

And yo, DF, this isn't an attack on your inactivity- since I know you don't appreciate that being a legitimate suspicion, but this game, the best adjective I can use to describe you is "blendy". I've mentioned this before, but either it's a scumtell or a civ tactic to last longer into the game. I just can't tell which. Either way, I can't remember the contributions you've made towards actual scum hunting. I just can't remember. I'm like Dory. (I'm blue)

I agree with this completely. Can't make anything of it. But I know Someone is active enough to continue to silence people. I'm wondering who was silenced today???

I'll take a wild stab and guess it's the same person that had nothing to say in the message to the thread. Just a guess.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 13]

Yeah I'm quite perplexed by that NK choice.

And thanks for silencing me again, asshats. At this point I'm surprised you don't just kill me instead of putting cotton in my mouth like the cowards you are.

I'm at an impasse on Nanman candidates. Reading through that blade day yesterday, I had two directions I would have gone: continuing to go after the no-posters of leetic or Bullzeye, or go the semi-active route. If the latter, I was VERY convinced Nutella was bad and using LoRab as a perfect scapegoat. If she hadn't been killed last night I would have gunned for her. Now I'm back to square one.

I appreciate indiglo's input and agreed with her read through of the field in looking at lynched baddies.

I think Simon is a very gung-ho warrior and don't know why we sent him to duel. It's the same situation with Bass for me. Ninja almost got lynched two days in a row and while I would classify her as a semi-active participant that could be Nanman for her votes, I'm not feeling her lynch.

That Aragorn (hi!) replaced Jan yesterday and there STILL was no YT kill has led me to believe that once again the last YT lies in either leetic or Bullzeye. I would like to vote there today.

(Jan at least was for a little while and then disappeared  )

Idk, this train of thought keeps going around in circles and will most likely not get me anywhere. But I'm starting to have a hunch Jan is the slightly more likely choice. I'm voting for him and Dunny.
Mayhaps. I think there is merit in Epi hand picking his roles, but I fail to see why especially these guys would be on MP's and SD's team. Is there anyone else that goes way back with them in history?

And are you hoping you're the only inactive because you know you will be on the chopping block?

You're also hardly inactive Sloon-you're present and pushing forth discussion- you're just not as active as we know you have been in the past.
People were talking about Jan when I came in. I've reads bits and pieces of the earlier days, but not the entire thing.

I'm hoping to be the only inactive because this game is better off being populated by active players.

Are you still suspicious of me?
Suspicious of you? Meh. More or less. I'm more suspicious of Bubbles' votes that you inherited as well as your shrugging it off.

I like your presence though I think, but it's still compatible for a Nanman. Not my highest suspect right now, but I'm not sold you are good either.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 11]

I'm going to suggest this:

Here are the people that haven't posted since before night 4, the last night a kill went through for YT:
-leetic
-Dunny
-Jan
-Bullzeye

Bullzeye hasn't posted since Day 2, leetic and Jan haven't posted since Day 3, and Dunny last posted Day 4.

I would strongly suggest voting a duo of those pairs for now. Here's why:
1) if one is bad and defeats another, odds are they won't be active to receive a treasure, and we just try again the next day.
2) if YT are still alive, that's our best bet to find them
3) if YT are eliminated, we know the indie leader role that inherits the kill is still alive, so it can be assumed that he is not paying attention.

Also @EPI Spacedaisy is still on the poll and the alive section of the 1st page. I'm pretty slow and almost factored her in during my perusal.

It's not even that INH is inactive- he's participated for some time- he's just supposed to be someone that is leading the civ cause. That's what he advertised in being a prefect. JJJ was a good prefect, I am a good prefect, I don't think he is.
This is the argument I'm worried about within the INH wagon. Scotty, what was your thought process that lead you to the conclusion that he was bad because he wasn't 'leading' the civ cause? I realise you've been pushing him for a while, but this looks like a giant step back in the quality of your case against him.
I found his absence striking around day 3 or so, and gave him time to make cases and prove himself. I might be a little biased because he was a fellow prefect, but I didn't like his nonchalance. Added to the fact that he voted in tandem with MM just gave me blinders. It's like a couple of horses showing up to the horse race, except one has a peg leg and should have been put down and converted to dog food ages ago.

Do you think the lead up to getting INH looks like an inside job from me? I can't tell if that's what you're suggesting.

D'oh, you're right. Given that he voted decisively in MP's lynch and was killed by the Nanman, I just got it into my head that he was civ.
I mean I also think he was civ, but one can never be certain.

:nicenod:

Zuo Ci doesn't like Dunny. Should we vote with him today? I could do that.

Hey @SLOONEI!! Where are you brother? I could vote you as well. I think the Nanman is someone that is talking, but is barely talking. Ya dig? Someone that could still have the mindedness to send in kills (of low posters, as Golden has pointed out). Ah, but here's the rub...they killed GOLDEN who was not a low poster. So maybe they're getting nervous.

If I had to vote right now, it would be for LoRab and Dunny. But I could just as easily vote for Sloonei. :shrug2:

I need to go back and check who mentioned me early on both times I was silenced, as I think it was perhaps purposeful.

I'm not bad. I may have unpopluar points of view and I may be stubborn as shit about them. But that's me being me. Yes, I voted INH late. Because that's when I got online. And I saw that there had been good points made about him. No, I hadn't mentioned him before. He was slightly pingy in the back of my brain for running for prefect and disappearing, but it was a dull and minor ping, and was never relevant enough (or pingy enough) to mention.

That seems to be the basic gist of the case against me. If there is anything else, let me know.
I mean, I made a whole case on you before that wasn't about tunneling. :shrug2: Since it's absurdly long, I'll just link it here. The basic reason is in response to this train of events:

Glorf presents a case on Timmer
Lorab: That's a convincing case *votes Timmer*
Timmer turns out to be civ
Lorab: It was all a baddie ploy, Glorf is bad!

Going along with the case, then immediately (literally, her very next post) turning around and going after the guy who presented it when it turns out to be incorrect struck me as very shady, even more so now that we know Glorf was civ.

In addition, as I outlined in my earlier post, Lorab was not only tunneling TH, she was, in my opinion, twisting the facts to fit her case on him. The fact that she keeps saying the only case on her is for tunneling (as she also did here)only makes me more suspicious of her.
Wait, where was this canon? I don't think we know that at all. Did I miss something?

Also, LoRab, kidnapped again eh? I could believe that, but I also am wary of kidnappings at this stage. I think you very well could be Nanman.

I do not suspect indiglo in the slightest right now because if she were a YT she would have killed someone last night. But YT didn't kill. Again.

I'm all for lynching an inactive at this point to eliminate the YT's (if they haven't been eliminated already, but I assume Epi would notify us of such). If the YTs have been eliminated, Mr. indie leader would take over and we haven't seen that yet.
