I find that harder to believe, it's not in principle a pro civ power. The whole purpose of fake role reveals is that mafia gain something from it, what would town get from a false result.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 8

I don't see how shenanigans could work, unless it's something to do with Speed's role, since it was a day action not a night one.

This is also an obviously pro mafia power. so I doubt it's fake in anyway. You pick someone you think is a civ bam they look like mafia and you waste a day lynching them. The only think that puzzles me is that the mafia team didn't try to kill him.

Not surprised we've got two teams, meaning if we've got a vig I think Speed needs to be axed. Otherwise I suggest we all vote for him tomorrow. True he went balls to the walls for LC, but if he thought LC was a civ he could've been attempting to earn points for himself or maybe which I think could be more logical he was forced to vote where he voted? That role has made an appearance a few times this year I believe.

Also sorry for missing EOD I got distracted by some school things.

We had two baddie vote manipulators on Pikachu, and Marmots role was a vote manip role. I read the host posts, that's how I know.

And I don't see how anyone could have thought LC was a civ. You were not there, sig. Everyone was waving their pitchforks and screaming for blood EXCEPT Chuck, and to a lesser extent, DH. There was no civvie cred to be had.

I spent a lot of time and energy trying to lynch Chuck, but if Nutella was LC's teammate, I have problems seeing him as bad.

you are the one who pointed out the lynch the day LC was lynched. Do you think DDL looks good?
I think that depends on how big we see the scum team being. If they only have two or three members they'll be more committed to defending their teammates. Now out of the lynches today I'd have preferred Speed, but I probably would've voted for DDL. So I don't think he's good, but I'd rather find a better target for next phase.

If we assume I'm a civ and that the mafia team has some form of communication than we need to look at the people who voted for me day 5. These votes would've been an attempt to get me lynched over baddie LC.

Day 5 reason for voting me

INH has been after me for awhile, so his day 5 vote reads more genuine to me.
LoRab wrote: Fri Mar 09, 2018 5:06 pm I'm also still utzy about Blooper. I don't understand why you wouldn't say who you were as the first thing? And if it was civ/civ, why would you hesitate to share identities. It's just not adding up in my mind.

I also actually think there is value in the sig case. That said, he hasn't posted since Day 4--which makes me wonder if he's possibly silenced (doesn't account for the not posting night 4, so I'm questioning that). I am hesitant to vote that way because of that possibility, though. Has anyone else not posted this day cycle?

The other suspects being mentioned (other than me, I know I'm good :lorab: ) I'm really not sure about. They are all people I don't read well. I do still think Boomslang is likely civ, but that's it.

I also want to vote, so I don't miss another vote, and I'll be in the middle of a dinner when the poll ends. So, I'm going to put a vote on blooper for now. I will change it if anything comes up that makes me want to change it. But right now, she's the one I feel the most suspicious of--and I don't want to vote for someone who may be silenced.

That's a really good point. He's posted elsewhere, but that was starting before day started (and, actually, mostly during the night phase), so thinking that isn't his way of saying he isn't silenced.

Unvote and Vote: Sig
I wasn't the most active in this game at that point, but still voting based off of me not posting/maybe being silenced isn't very good civ reasoning. Especially when she just seemed to have put a fair amount of thought into her previous vote.

Spacedaisy wrote: Fri Mar 09, 2018 4:30 pm @nijuukyugou I am not sure. I feel like it could go either way. It wasn't what I was hoping your reply would be, but I won't go into that. I just can't understand why the first thing nutella wouldn't have done is say, "Hey it's me, Nutella! I'm your civ BTSC partner!" Or ask who you were or I don't know. I still feel like it's questionable, but maybe not quite as questionable as I did at first. :sigh: I wish I felt clearly one way or another about your answer, but I don't.
Revealing identities, unless I'm gravely mistaken, was not allowed. If you read the roles we had, we signed in as socks (Electron and Proton), so it worked like any sock game where you BTSC without saying who you are. I think you're misunderstanding what I was and was not able to do, role-wise.

I'm not liking how keen you are to jump on this "case," Lorab. I know you're busy, but it feels weak to me. But it also feels very outlier-y. Whether or not that is alignment indicative is something I need to study (from my experience, you're more calculated than that, so I'm more annoyed at having to re-explain this than suspicious, methinks, at this point.

Okay, so backlash blah blah blah regarding my and others' comments regarding not wanting to vote for the sake of voting, but hell, that's what these "strawman" (LOL almost typed "strawberry") arguments look like. However, I see votes on sig. And while I'm not cool with voting simply for information (yes, I know there's more to it than that, JoH, but that's still what a lot of it boils down to at this point, and you're still trying to vote the most scummy person), I am okay with this particular vote. That was a lot of words to say "I'm okay with voting sig because I think he's bad and now more people think so too and are on board, yay!" So let's purple this aubergine and vote sig.

This actually looks kind off bad, she's not okay with voting for info, but that's basically what ended up happening anyway. It seems like she's trying to conceal her vote to look better than it really is. Something I'm not quite a fan of.

All of this I did just to say basically these are the players still left in this tribe who voted for me the same day LC flipped mafia, I think at least one is also on the same team out of these three. It just comes down to who. I doubt its INH which leaves either Lorab or Bloober. Now I must be off, but will be back later to talk about this.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 8

Dom

Pretty good summary for our end, a button was pushed and the groups got mixed up. Annnnnd are you mafia?

LoRab wrote: Fri Mar 16, 2018 9:00 pm Brief summary--or at least comments on the players who are still here:

We were really sucking at successfully lynching anyone. Until we had a unanimous vote on Marmot (including Marmot) during day 7. Until then, we weren't sure we actually could lynch anyone.

Jack was killed during the last night cycle, the first second death on our beach. He was certainly saying that he was civ (as you can read), and didn't have any real current suspicion, as far as I know.

There is lingering suspicion of Boomslang, leftover from the start of the game. Personally, I wasn't suspecting him, mainly because I didn't think that he'd nk niju. But, after LC's reveal, the general assumption here has seemed to be that there is more than one mafia (since he was identified as a member of the Evil Evens, and not just general mafia (implying more than one).

Wilgy has had a good deal of suspicion

INH has had ongoing suspicion.

Niju has has some suspicion, mainly because of an odd comment she made about not realizing that her early BTSC partner (nutella) was on the other beach. But she cleared that up, mostly. She's off my radar for the moment, at least. While I am not basing much on first roles, given the connection between her role and LA's, and the fact that the hosts have said that the first role and second roles are paired, my gut tells me that they are indy or neutral.

Sig had a lot of votes (relative) the other day. Then he was nk-ed. Suspicion of him has largely faded, especially since once he became active in the game again, his posts have seemed pretty civ. For some, it could also be because of his role--my own personal bias is that the roles tell us nothing about alignment and that we can't/shouldn't assume anything based on them.

There was some earlier suspicion of me, as per usual. Sloonei posted that he was no longer suspicious of me. No idea how sig is currently feeling. They're the 2 I remember mentioning it.

I have a thousand questions for the other beach dwellers. But, I need to go finish a paper that is due today and I should really finish that.

I notice colonialbob is listed as in this tribe, but he isn't on the poll. Have people been not on the polls in your former tribe?

S~V~S wrote: Fri Mar 16, 2018 8:19 pm Hi Cerberii !

Does Nijuu have any clue who would kill her? Epi was obsessed with this trying to figure out who was bad day 2 based on Nijuu getting NKed.

Also how many bad teams you all think we have? I think two different kills, I think the day 1/3 kills were made by someone with a different mindset than the 2/4 kills. I was killed by the same (presumably) team as the 2/4 kills, INH and Scotty. I was moderately aggressive in lynching LC, so i was guessing they went for me for revenge.

Best theories on who killed who and why?
I don't think she ever speculated who would kill her. There was some initial conversation about it, but no conclusions.

I think we have 2 teams, personally. More than 2 would be unbalanced, and I agree that there is more than one mafia (as I said above). I also read the "evil evens" as implying that they kill on even nights.

We also had a good deal of speculation that the mafias are not complete teams. Because of ambiguity in the rules, which implies that one's first role is not necessarily aligned the same as the second. And the line "mafia players who have BTSC," which could be read that there are mafia members who do not have BTSC, there is some belief that some players join the mafia after their first role. Or are mafia who don't have BTSC with the rest of their team.

As for speculation on kill motivations, 1-Niju: no idea. 2-Scotty was reading pretty civ, I think, so kill was likely based on that. 3- Jack was reading pretty civ, as well. 4-no kill. 5-Sig-really weird target, since he had a lot of suspicion. 6-SVS-you commented on that above, the one nk from your beach. 7-Jack. My gut says that the mafia that I assume targeted him twice (both odd nights), either because he was a thorn in their side or because they had reason to believe or knowledge that he was civ.

INH was also day killed--and we're not sure what's up with that. It seemed like a civ-related ninja type kill, as suspicion was high on him at the time. Since he was the nurse (and glad you didn't infect anyone!), some felt he may be civ. But, as I said, I'm not putting much on the first roles in terms of assuming they are civ/mafia, and as it seems that someone can become evil during the game.

OK....I really need to finish my paper now...

Should I just be letting things go then? :sigh:
I feel like it might not be the best reason to lynch, but unless we've got something else might as well roll with it.

The real question is did DDL's vote matter? Did it sway anything and like was his vote an obvious counterwagon. Also if you recall how many votes did LC have that day?

Since we can only assume from LC slip that scum has post tribe BTSC meaning they knew how the lynch breakdown worked. SO your scum could've just been trying to get the numbers low enough to stop the lynch for that phase. Which is also something we should look over here.

Since the day LC was lynched I was Almost lynched (I believe), so it would be beneficial to look over who voted for me with weak reasoning and maybe go for them if they're still here.

That's super scummy. Lynch someone who's last life was an obvious civ even though he was nightkillled.
Obligatory "first roles being civ in previous games doesn't mean you are civ now or even civ yesterday."

Heck, the mafia is the Evil Evens, which wasn't even a mafia team in CC123 and LC's first role was Commander Shepherd, towniest of all Mass Effect townies.

Quit with this nonsense.
Good point
My point is we are seeing hypocrisy here. Everyone else who had been killed up until this point was more or less given a free pass since mafia killed them. Now suddenly this isn't the case, but it's only not the case for me.

It's scummy that your assuming my kill was wine/misdirect. Why are you trying to take control of the narrative surrounding kills when you have no idea why scum did what they did? Unless you submitted the mafia night action.

I'ts fairly obvious why I was NK'd. I'd say one of two reasons.

One being that I was adamant the silencer could be civ and the mafia put two and two together

or since I didn't seem to be able to be lynched and was so nonchalant. Voting for me now when literally everyone else who has been NK'd got a pass is scummy and saying my role is mafia is scummy these are people who are tunneling and looking for a reason to lynch me with no good reasoning what so ever.

I also don't see a reason why we wouldn't try to lynch the same as last round. In fact, sig has seemed even more suspish since then. So, as aubergine and babaganoush are delicious, vote sig
That's super scummy. Lynch someone who's last life was an obvious civ even though he was nightkillled.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 5

Also this is LC second flip correct? And we believed the first one was civ/mafia so we can't assume people who got killed stayed civs, I'd look closely at the people pushing that meta.

Yeah I didn't I'd have probably voted for Wilgy to tie us up, if I wasn't worried about that I feel like I'd have voted for INH.

Sloonei wrote: Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:44 pm Why do you feel that way about LoRab?
It's mainly meta from how I remember her past civ games and from Buffy. Like she's helpful, but overly so and kind off skates the edges of the thread. Enough to make me uncomfortable, but not enough to lynch. She can also be not super active in her civ games so that's NAI.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 4

Sloonei wrote: Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:07 pm @sig who do you want to lynch today?
That's a good question, I'm flipflopping on Wilgy a bit, I don't have a solid read on Kyle, and I haven't ISO'd Daisy yet.

I know I don't want to lynch you, Bloober, Marmot, Jack, or Scotty.

Boom I'm also slightly back and forth on, but I could still see him being mafia.
I also keep coming back to INH the early case against him was good, however it does depend on a few things.

I need to regroup and think it over but right now my top three would be
1. Wilgy
2. BoomSlang
3. INH

with a maybe on Space and Lorab

Note on Lorab she doesn't seem scummy, but more third party like. Which doesn't mean we need to lynch her, but also means she isn't great.

Sloonei wrote: Sun Mar 04, 2018 8:32 pm Sorry, that was not intended as a serious question. what I'm actually trying to get at is niju's thoughts on the silencer, or wilgy's claim of being silenced.
I don't see why you're hung up on the silencer thing, It's really common for a silencer to be present on TS and be a civ. I think trying to direct attention onto someone for being a silencer isn't very civvie.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 3

Marmot's post don't look bad so far, but there seems to be a large amount of fluff, ironic I know. :P
When he does post content it seems to be coming from a civ mindset and he's attempting to make the thread more active.

What does everyone think of Kyle's vote? He avoided both wagons by going for Boomslang, which I could see mafia trying to do if they knew we were both civs to avoid suspicion.

Wilgy seems like his normal self, which I'm liking right now.
Jack is a bit under the radar, but that seems to be because he's busy in RL.

I agree with Scotty on Daisy, but I'd need to buckle down and ISO her for real.
Also people commenting on my posting style, I do want to point out that this is the longest I've survived in a GOC so blah. :meany:

@Sloonie does it seem like the other thread has caught mafia yet?

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 3

Wilgy - Light civ read
Sloonie - light civ read, even though he's voting for me which is mean
Blooper - eh civ read, I think it would be odd for the mafia to kill her so early, but it's a possibility.
Kyle - Did a quick ISO I'm still not sure what to think of him, but I wouldn't want to lynch him.
Lorab - gut reading as civ. From her posts she's either a civ or third party in my opinion and I do believe she's busy.
Boomslang - If his 70% comment is how he actually is, that means it's NAI. I still don't want to civ read him and should read him over, but I don't see him as mafia.

I need to read over Daisy, Scotty, Marmot, and Jack I can't recall enough about them to give a good read.

Re: Cerberus Tribe - Night 3

I need to catch up, but I'm eyeing anyone who talked about voting Wilgy when he was silenced and then didn't vote for him. I dislike that, also why assume we don't have a silencer? They could've been blocked night 1 or failed to submit their action it seems like sloppy reasoning.

nijuukyugou wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2018 6:35 pm Fuck it. sig's all over the place. I'm re-reading interactions between him and Sloonei, and he's floundering like crazy. He might be weird, but not usually floundery. I want to have more time to look at the Lorab comparison before I make an uninformed vote in her direction. Pulling the trigger and vote sig. (Did I do that right? Friggin' tags.)
I'm not floundering? I'm just not playing super seriously yet, taking a more laid back approach. I also have very little to say atm, don't have many strong reads. ect

Someone mentioned me flipflopping on Sloonie or something, I think I explained that reasoning very well.
nijuukyugou wrote: Wed Feb 28, 2018 6:26 pm Mmmmk so my thought process is this from reading so far:

Sloonei takes suspicion for coming out Sloonei (guns a'blazin', that is) and for flip-flopping a lot. This thought crossed my mind as big fat WIFOM, but I'm thinking he's good and doing the civ thing right now. We don't have enough being said to not play around with words and cast suspicion in places for reaction gauges, so this appears more civ than bad. And it stands out.

sig is being weird and avoiding a lot of simple questions. Is there something else I'm missing? Or are people latching on to whatever weirdness they can get? I totally understand if so, but if that's all it is, I'm not inclined that way, either.

Lorab is, according to Jack, apparently acting like she does when she's bad? How so?

Ugh. Votes and decisions. It's amazing I'm able to play this game at all.

I don't recall ignoring any questions?

Also since Speed was lynched and revealed does that mean he's died twice? Since I seem to recall it saying you don't flip on your first lynch.
