And do we know that Simon couldn't insanify one of their own? Sounds like a win-win for scum; make one of your own a public target of scum, and allow him to play a full day with no responsibility to issue cogent targets/opinions.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 4]
Actually, did G-Man really explain his vote on Saberfish? The last thing regarding the latter was simply uncertainty for Saber being a good xtacle kill attempt, which can almost be read as "I don't want to offer an opinion yet on whether or not it is this player's time to die".

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 4]
What's the case on Saberfish? He seems to be kind of like me in that he's not posting a ton, but just enough to get noticed and earn votes here and there, unlike a couple others that seem pretty much MIA. Would the vote against Made, helping Roxy be part of suspicions on him as well?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 4]
I will add that I thought SVS's early-game suspicions of a bus between Epi and MP07 was a little odd/forced since it seemed like a benign and joking conversation to me. He doesn't mention MP07 much after (understandable considering the circumstances), but it was one of those posts that looks like scum trying to force a relationship. But that's how I read that one Made post a while back and he flipped town, so eh.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 4]
Any particular reason why? The only thing about me from you that I can find is "Voted Metalmarsh, Metalmarsh lynched" implying that I am KillFace, and I've given my case (probably a couple times now) on why I should be one of the last to be him.Epignosis wrote:Voted HamburgerBoy.
fwiw if I was giving my current performance and RYM I'd be advocating my own lynch because I haven't been as involved as I should. Regarding my accusation of ninjuu, I think I somehow managed to confuse her with Cookie simply on the basis that both have light blue backgrounds in their avatars, which I'll admit is ridiculous especially so since it was ninjuu's vote on Cookie that I used to justify my vote. In the future I'm going to start screencapping these polls so I don't get completely confused. Since you seem to agree with my previous posts that ninjuu was bandwagoning, and since there's contention on that matter between you and SVS, what are the particulars that make you say so?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 3]
Sorry MP07 and everyone else, I forgot what an investment it is to start on a new forum where you know almost no one's playstyle.
First, regarding my vote on nijuukyugou, it was simply that I'm trying to pick out the players that have failed to catch my attention significantly, and from those then find the one that seems the most suspicious. While many people are mentioning Roxy as a late-bus and I think the case looks good against her (at least as much as anyone else), I've at least been noticing her and picking up on at least minor trends based on this one game. nijuu also placed a late vote on Cookie without a ton of explanation, but in light of the flip it would of course mean a bus rather than a bandwagon.
Regarding Roxy and those trends, I think that she's been quick to drop arguments and change subjects, which on RYM I would usually be all over, but here I'm trying to see if it's just what she does. That's what I'm seeing in the interaction you posted of me and her, and while I was willing to let that go from her, I would definitely like more explanation from Made regarding why it looks more contrived on my part. Simply because I tried to explain my vote further while she dropped it with a "fair enough"? I've also had a couple recent experiences with scum saying "giving me pause" with regards to town players that look like easy future lynches. Between that and Made playing the victim wrt Epi and Dharma driving lynches, I think he's one of my bigger suspects as well right now.
So right now, Made, nijuukygou, and Roxy are probably my biggest suspects, in that order.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 2]
nijuukyugou is the person that looks the most suspicious to me right now, so I'm voting for her. The cases on Timmer and Cookie seem like the easier way out for now, and she's a player that hasn't been registering so much which (in absence of meta reads on most participants in this game) automatically looks suspicious. I do think the stuff regarding Cookie's meta between Epi and Dharma could have been telling, but I feel a little out of it to say for sure. Just posting the first 5 posts Cookie made isn't necessarily a good representation of a case, but since she's apparently on her second game here that always makes things difficult to read. On RYM we did just have a new player that showed a significant change from his first town game to his second scum game, so it will be something I'll be watching for in the future. I was with Made when he expressed frustration over a few of the arguments Epi has made that I disagree with as well, but I think I'm seeing the strategy to them.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 2]
That's vague, and I'd disagree. I think I had posted more about Killface and double-voting stuffs than most other players at that point. My vote post itself didn't announce that, but the few posts leading up to it clearly showed me thought process.Roxy wrote:It was your reasoning that I found shifty. Roxy, could you explain your particular suspicion here?
HamburgerBoy wrote:Why me? Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 2]
To be fair I'm still trying to get a handle on the game since there are definitely differences compared to what I'm used to. I usually don't go much for banter in any game, so I'm just trying to work on the tangible (lynches, nightkills, other player's theories behind them).sig wrote:(page 4) hamburger boys second, and third posts, they seem weird, but not to suspicious. Kinda like he wants to post but didn't have anything to say. So he could either be posting just because or trying to avoid suspicion
Then you would probably agree that unless we have an entire scum team of new players, the night 1 kill wouldn't particularly implicate a new player since an experienced one could have advised them?Roxy wrote:No I would NOT concur. Whenever I have BTSC sometimes I cannot go to chatzy so I will FB or PM my teamies to keep in touch. Otherwise I quite enjoy BTSC as it gives you a chance to get to know other players.
Though it must be noted some people do not like to chat.

Re: Frisky Dingo [NIGHT 1]
Voting for someone with only one vote previous would add to the pile of 2-vote leaders, and if anyone on a 2-vote candidate was KillFace, they'd be automatically outed. I'm not sure how that is inconsistent with my previous posts.Scotty wrote:Hamburger Boy, why did you specifically vote for MM as opposed to anyone else?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]
If there was a double-voter on a two-voted candidate it would be announced that they tied with the three-voter then? If so, had it remained 1s and 2s everywhere it would have given a minimum 50% chance of catching Killface.Metalmarsh89 wrote:That is a very good point actually. Still, even a 3-2 lead would help reveal said player.HamburgerBoy wrote:Is it announced though who is tied? The reason I ask is that it seems unusual for there to be a wide spread in a game where one of the baddies has a double-vote, because if it remained a 2-way split it seemed to have high potential for revealing that person (at least from a very small group of possibilities).MovingPictures07 wrote:I'm here! HamburgerBoy and Saberfish (and anyone else new), the way a host deals with ties does depend, but most of the time, the result is randomized among the tied vote-receivers. Sometimes there is a role mechanic that decides ties. Sometimes there is no lynch.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]
Is there any reason to assume that the Xtacles couldn't be underpowered/unusable/however people are putting it? This is my first game here, but maybe their purpose is more equivalent to a bunch of vanilla roles which happen to (uncontrollably) shoot powers every which way, being more of a game mechanic than something that's supposed to be controlled? That the power would be diminished quickly within a couple days (I'm assuming the odds of killing Stan early are low) seems to further support that.
