The world was right where I wanted

Luke11646 paid his final respects to his befallen friend. Floyd and Luke were inseparable mates during their adolescent years and both were committed to being loyal to one another. Floyd's funeral was scheduled to start in approximately an hour, and Luke had been blessed to have had some time to converse with Floyd for the last time. As with any tragic occasion, there was a bellowing sadness that lingered in Luke's eyes. But perhaps this wasn't the only reason. Having to travel to Perth for the funeral, Luke had expressed discomfort at the recent deaths, not only of his friend, but of Perth's residents. Floyd's death was still unexplained, there was a skeleton tiger on the run, nutella had been executed and MovingPictures07 had been killed in a method so peculiar. By perchance, if Perth's residents hadn't executed their doctor as well, they might have had some basis of how MovingPictures07 was killed.

"Heck," Luke exclaimed, as though he was in conversation to Floyd. "There's more finger pointing here than at a..."
Luke caught his speech off by a brown, decaying cloth scarcely visible underneath Floyd's paisley shirt. Cautiously, he removed the cloth as if his deceased friend was made of china. Once the cloth was in his possession, he realised it was wrapped around something rigid and square. Once the concealed object was properly in view, Luke took a brief moment to examine this strange object. It was a copy of Tame Impala's Currents, only it had "Deluxe Edition" written on it, bizarrely disproportionate in size, covering most of the artwork.

His studying of this oddity was interrupted by the screeching sound of an opening door. Into the chapel where the funeral was to be held, two men entered, conversing. The shorter of the two was dressed in a suit appropriate for a funeral, although his maroon scarf dissonant against his outfit. Embers of anxiety flared with his every step, and his body language and voice also appeared to lack confidence. His companion was a giant of a man. In spite of also being dressed in a suit, his West Coast Eagles beanie diminished the intimidation of his appearance.

The duo reached where Luke was standing next to the casket.
"I... um..." fumbled the scarfed man, "...believe you have something that belongs to us." Luke gave him a look of confusion.
"And you are?" Luke asked. The scarfed man looked a little flustered and realised he would have to introduce himself.
"I'm Kevin Parker. I'm, well, the musician behind Tame Impala." His companion grunted in a form of disapproval. "Yeah, and... this is Cam. Cam Avery. He plays bass."
Now understanding the situation, Luke asked Parker to clarify the significance of this Deluxe version of Currents. Parker scratched his head, searching for an answer.
"Around the middle of... last year? Yeah, last year, I made a statement that a Currents: Deluxe Edition would be released for the anniversary of the album's release."
Luke queried, "And?"
"Well, I never released it, to be frank," Parker responded with a self-shaming tone. He hung his head, but it was enigmatic why he did so.
"So, how come you..."

Crash! The sound of gunfire.

Luke paused for a moment, struggling to find speech or an ability to make movement. He collapsed, departing the physical world in a heap next to the casket.

"Heck!" cried Parker, sprinting towards the chapel door. Avery, however, exited with a higher level of annoyance than panic.
"Aw, for f***'s sake," he stated. "I just want to go to the Eagles game."

Perth's residents grew restless. First a murder had occurred in their own streets and now they've re-introduced capital punishment to execute nutella. All out chaos within the city was inevitable, but every citizen tried their best to ignore it. Perth's mafia, the devious trio, sought this opportunity to push any security that town had had over the edge. These three criminals, with their insanity, took to a plan to assassinate a prominent man in the most enlightening way possible.
MovingPictures07 was as fine as any man in Perth. But his well-known status became his downfall. Breaking into his house, the trio violently kidnapped MP, knocking him unconscious. They shrieked with laughter at his vulnerable state. The loudest of the three, suggested a unique death. A cosmic death.

He was discovered the next day in a pool of blood. The coroners revealed he death was due to a depletion in blood caused by severe, deep scratches of a skeleton tiger. The scratches were in the form of the mafia's symbol. Those witnessing the deceased man's final state swore to avenge the innocent man.

GAMEPLAY & RULES

Gameplay
1. Each Day will consist of a period of 48 hours, except for Day 0, which will last for 24 hours. At the conclusion of each Day, the player with the most votes will be lynched, and the lynched player's role will be revealed. Before the end of each Day, you must cast your vote.
2. Each Night will consist of a period of 24 hours. The Mafia will be allowed to submit a kill during this time. The civilian cop will send in the name of a player to check. At the end of each Night, one player will be nightkilled, and will have their role revealed.
3. All game conversation must take place in the thread.
4. All votes must be cast in the poll to count. It is handy to simultaneously post and bold your vote in the thread.
5. All votes are changeable.
6. A civilian win will occur if they have eliminated the Mafia. A mafia win will occur if they have outnumbered the Civilians.
7. If your respective faction wins, you win, regardless of whether you are dead or alive at the end of the game.
8. At the end of this game, voting for an MVP will commence. The player with the most votes will be crowned MVP of the game.
9. If you have any queries, please PM TheFloyd73 as swiftly as possible.
10. This is a closed setup.
11.The mod of this game will be Sloonei. Don't be hesitant to run by him if need be.

Rules
1. Be respectful and remember that this is a game. We are not playing for sheep stations. Please treat the other players with respect, even if you suspect or strongly disagree with them. If you feel a player's actions are getting out of hand.
2. No BTSC with anyone, apart from the Mafia's usual BTSC. Do not discuss anything about the game with anyone outside the thread, in any capacity, except for the host.
3. No editing or deleting posts.
4. Role outing and info-dumping is allowed.
5. Songs and roles are all assigned randomly. Songs are irrelevant to alignment.
6. Self-voting is not permitted.
7. Dead players are to post in dead red.
8. Off-topic posts should be in off-topic green. There is an "OT" code for this function.
9. This is your host's color. Do not use it.
10. Non-Players are to post in Non-Player blue.
11. Participation is strongly encouraged. Anyone who misses two votes and fails to post during that time will be automatically replaced. If no replacements are available, a modkill will occur. If you sign up, please play. If you can't play, please request a replacement. This will make it easier for the host, mod and players of this game.

Be swift! Run like hell! The call from his conscious has little reason to exist; it was his natural instinct. Through street after street of Perth's suburbs, TheFloyd73 venture on the seamless night had derailed. How careless was he? What reasoning did he have for breaking and entering Kevin Parker's private home?
In his hands, an mythical object was enclosed, wrapped in decaying cloth. With his concentration evaporated, the dim street lights seemed to merge all of his surroundings into a coherent mesh. Runway, Houses, City, Clouds. This image distracted the wayward boy for a moment. Realisation dawned on him like a brutal Autumn sun. Instead of the expected police lights flickering closer and closer, distant murmurs and shrieks of laughter flowed into Floyd's ear. Surely not, he thought. Surely he wasn't going to face death at the hands of Perth's most notorious Mafia trio.
