The hypocrisy here is just insane. Waste your time? I never say things like that. You were giving me attitude way back in Talking Heads all because I suspected you for acting different than the way I was used to you from previous RYM games. The way you were acting different? I'm blunt with others in terms of how I read them. I do not judge their play style or criticize how they approach the game. Meta is the only thing to go on in this game for town to hunt baddies with, and even that is extremely flimsy even at its most useful. The game is naturally designed in favor of mafia because of this, because less is more here and no one should be left unquestioned. That's it.

You were wrong though with what you said before about Sig. I couldn't be more convinced that he is Town. I spoke to you about that. You hold an opposite view. I respect that. You're wrong, but I can still respect your opinion.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Six
My personal read of them is totally irrelevant. I don't know if either of them are good or not (though I'm inclined to think at least one of them is) but I do know that we will not be successful lynching either of them. I'm not obligated to hand out the facts behind it like candy when for one, I haven't promised any facts or pretended that I've already offered any, and two, I haven't elaborated on why I believe this for a reason.G-Man wrote:And what facts do you have suggesting that neither Wilgy or Glorfindel are bad? And in the spirit of not repeating ourselves, this will be the last time I attempt to get this through your head: He. Won't. Claim.Silverwolf wrote:Glorfindel needs to claim today. Even if he does it at the last minute and the lynch is diverted to someone else he needs to claim. The only way that is gonna happen is if we put him in the lead. If I have to case him, fine but I think a lot of his posts are words with no substance. He's a cylon hiding among the non-claimers and odds are good he's not a good one. Now, I'm not gonna repeat myself over and over. He needs to claim today.a2thezebra wrote:Silverwolf, Glorfindel needing to claim today is about as far from a fact as it gets. When you refer to your opinions as facts people are less inclined to co-ordinate with you.
The reason I asked that question is because he would be much more likely to claim if he didn't feel that you were pressuring him to do so. I get that you're trying to achieve both but by trying to do both at once you will accomplish neither, because if he thinks he's going to be lynched then he will only claim when it's too late to lynch someone besides him, and if he thinks he's not going to be lynched then he won't bother to claim because he won't consider the threat serious enough. Because it won't be.
I don't know why you need to express that other players got what you mean. Is there a reason you can't outright say it?

If someone with a moderate post count asks someone with a higher post count why they've been quiet, what do you think that means?
If when the person with the higher post count asks them "how am I quiet" they respond by completely ignoring them and instead allowing them to display for the entire crowd just how narrow their focus is and how lacking their drive to find baddies is, what do you think that means?
Quiet is not about how little you speak, it's about how quietly you speak.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Six
Silverwolf, Glorfindel needing to claim today is about as far from a fact as it gets.

Also, what are baddies? Is that like a thing that people with "reads" talk about?

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Six
Fuck, he got us. Okay how are we going to go about this?
I think the best course of action is for you bea, to say that you think I might be bad but that you're not sure. Try not to make it to waffly of course. As for you MM, I suggest you read me as bad because I pretended not to notice your question about thinking you're quiet or whatever. But it's your call guys, I don't care as long as I don't get mislynched because I'm town.

It's ironic that the people complaining about others not following the thread are the only ones clearly not following the thread.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Six
I mean you yourself said that you're going to push for Glorfindel hard this day phase, doesn't part of that entail convincing the unenlightened such as myself to follow in your footsteps? Which may be accomplished by communicating with me as opposed to saying that I don't think before posting and dismissing my questions/criticisms of your plan as if it's self-evident that you're right?

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Six
Also Silver, you never answered this question:
Since you didn't answer it however, and since I haven't seen any sort of elaboration from you on the subject of what voting for Glorfindel will actually accomplish, I don't think you're in a position to get angry when I say that I still think that you're forced and that a Glorfindel lynch isn't the way to go. I mean who's not reading whose posts exactly?
Maybe if you had answered it, I wouldn't have expressed the same disdain for a Glorfindel lynch attempt that I did earlier.a2thezebra wrote:Wouldn't it have been wiser to force him to claim before admitting that you'll be pushing for his lynch?Silverwolf wrote:I like Epi's plan to put Glorfindel up in first place today but the second place person better be someone we are fairly certain is bad. I can't case Glorfindel again right now because I have a fever and am going to bed. But I will. I will be pushing this hard this day phase. I think it's critical we force him to claim. Just make sure number two is someone we have a consensus is scum and make sure Glorf is number one at the end.a2thezebra wrote:Of all the posts I've made in this game to provoke such a response from you, why this one? I actually present two possibilities here instead of one.Silverwolf wrote:OMG can you just stop and think for two seconds or do you always just let loose with whatever the hell comes into our brain without thinking it through?a2thezebra wrote:If any mislynch is being set up today, then it's not sig, it's Glorfindel.
Or Glorfindel is in fact bad and the other baddies are trying to turn the tide towards him today so no one will be lynched when he claims Cylon right at the end. After that the baddies can sit back, watch town make just a few more mistakes, and the game is lost for us.
It's one of those two.
:P
But really, what is your criticism of my opposition to a Glorfindel lynch today? And by criticism, I mean actual criticism.
I mean considering that I myself have threatened to claim if I end up being the lynch candidate for today.

Holy crap where have you been? You've missed like two day phases now, care to explain?Metalmarsh89 wrote:Welcome to my world.Silverwolf wrote:Sigh............I can't play like this.a2thezebra wrote:That being said, the push for Glorfindel's lynch today is utterly absurd, regardless of whether those pushing for his lynch actually want to lynch him or simply pressure him until he claims. Here's the thing...he won't claim, and if he does it will be too late to lynch someone else. I still believe that Silverwolf was forced since she's acting way, way more irrationally today than she was before.
I give up.
Seriously. Nobody is reading a word I say.
Have fun guys. I'm not participating in this.
