Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 6

If the ending ending is good then I'll like it. I dislike the most of the second season of Twin Peaks but the very last episode is my favorite in the whole series.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 6

I'm not big into shows for this very reason. I want to end a work of fiction on a high note, not an unresolved one and certainly not one that fizzles out. I rarely watch ongoing shows because I'm wary that they won't end well, and when Lost ended everyone was either disappointed or absolutely infuriated, which put me off of watching it.

Once you flipped civ, I realized that I only voted you becasue I did not think any of the others were bad. Which meant maybe Bullz was. So I read & reread Day 1 until I talked myself into it.

I am really sorry about that, voting for you.
No problem, I'm often the ideal lynch choice when everyone else isn't looking bad enough. Amazing call on Bullz by the way, when I reread Day 1 before I was lynched he seemed unlikely to be a teammate of Matt or Scotty to me. I am glad you saw what I didn't see.

A question for Wilgy if he's willing to suspend his disbelief...is Epi not voting for me because he knows I'm good, or is nutella not voting for me because she doesn't want to flip-flop on my alignment more than once? Or is it something else entirely?

If you're unwilling to suspend your disbelief, feel free to answer the question after my flip.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 5

This is the main source of my current suspicion of nutella. This post seems like she's trying to be on the fence with as many players as possible in case the tide turns in any particular direction. It seems like she doesn't want to be contrarian nor does she want to be too obvious, and that's apparent regardless of whether or not this post was published with little to no time on her hands. At first her suddenly thinking I was good seemed natural to me, but now that her initial distrust of me is shared by the majority, she seems scared to flip-flop a second time. In other words, she seems disingenuous.

...I thought I had made it clear that I think Epi is the last baddie. I could be totally wrong of course, and if it's not him I'd then try Wilgy, then maybe you but I didn't really read today's posts that closely so I'm unclear on why everyone suddenly thinks you're bad, but I could be swayed.
But yeah she also didn't respond to you so she's bad because of that.

Do you see where my vote is? Nah I'm just kidding, my vote means nothing today. I have three possibilities. You, Epi, and nutella. Bullzeye and S~V~S are both unlikely but possible. I went with S~V~S and voted for you, and obviously I don't trust her enough to follow through her current vote. At the moment, I think nutella is the most likely possibility. She's been the most quiet today. Whether that's for justified off-topic reasons or not is beside the point, because the three posts she has posted today are quite questionable. There's an analysis post regarding claims, the classic "what is happening" post, and then a very waffly post concerning top suspicions. Strange considering what day it is and what direction the game has gone in. Her recent two posts come across to me as a baddie trying to react as naturally as possible to the sudden likely lynching of me, and not sure what exactly to say given that she's already flip-flopped on me once before earlier in the game.

You're starting to convince me that you might be genuine as well. Your reactions to my posts of today seem like honest attempts to figure out what the deal is. Epi asking me about my role is notable as well, given that he hasn't (and probably won't, which is fine) reveal the reason why he asked. If that's an attempt to mimic a civilian trying to understand something, then it's a good one, because it seems genuine to me. So basically, here would be ideal lynch order.

nutella > Epignosis > DrWilgy > S~V~S > Bullzeye

Given how close we're going to be to LyLo, you folks can't relax and flip a coin or roll the dice to decide what you want the lynch to be. You're going to need to think before you vote, a teeny-weeny itsy-bitsy bit more than you did today. Look at everyone and don't let anyone go unnoticed. Everyone should be fucking INTERROGATED.

There is only one baddie left. Casting suspicion on people we don't suspect for no reason is something we want to do why?

If you are lynched and we are incorrect about you, then we start over. I mean, feel free to discuss what you want. I am not like the Queen of this thread to tell you what to discuss or not discuss ha ha. And tbh, I just had a death in the family (not immediate family, my Uncle, but still close enough) and will not be around much anyhow the next few days.

And you don;t have to italicize at me.
This is a misrepresentation of what I'm trying to do. I do not want myself nor anyone else to cast suspicion on people that they don't suspect. I simply want to discuss the other potential candidates for when you folks inevitably do have to start over. If I'm seriously the only person you suspect, no one else, not even slightly, then that's fine. I just find it odd that when I suggested earlier that we discuss who else we think might be bad with my lynch already sealed and all, you were on board, but since...halfway through that post up until now, you have given off the impression that you don't wish to discuss anyone else even though, like you said, we have twenty-four hours left of the current phase and in no way should be obligated to not talk about other players until nightfall. My apologies for italicizing at you, I'm just frustrated at what I'm perceiving to be a baffling and unnecessary inconsistency in your recent posts.

Sorry about your uncle. Regardless of your alignment in this game, interacting with you has been a pleasure, especially given how long it's been since we've been in a game together as players. I look forward to your reaction upon my flip. :P

It seems you still have hope... Interesting.
I still have hope in town because town has already lynched two baddies, which by default makes this a game more worthy of hope than most of the bank heists we've had to date. In fact, I think even after my death the odds will still be in the favor of town. Unless the last baddie is doing a fantastic job of avoiding suspicion and accusation, which - if that is the case - is something I hope to unmask before my death.

Is it though? Because it sounds like the kind of thing I would suggest to my teammates as a baddie in the very hopes that it would lead to that classic "they would NEVER do that" reaction, and gain town credibility for one of us in the process. In fact, I have used strategies that at the very least were similar to that.

And regarding the polls thing, I almost never check the polls thread in any mafia game ever. I try to go by what sticks out most to me in memory. Not only that but the two of us clearly have different ideas as to how alignment-indicative voting records can be. I only checked it recently because I just noticed that S~V~S posted in it.

linki - THAT's the best example you can pull up? How in heaven's name am I pressuring you there of all places??? That could be argued as criticism, accusation, reaction-gauging, pretty much anything BUT trying to get you to change your mind. I'm disappointed, son.

You may recall my comment about your endearing stubbornness at the time if you want evidence of this. What I was hoping to achieve with my back-and-forth with you was simply to express what I felt your motivations were, and to see if anyone else felt the same way.

linki - With most players I would agree, but it's Floyd we're talking about. He's pretty blunt with his opinions in general (which often seem arbitrary) so him asking others to trust him isn't something that I would immediately perceive to be a threat. But I see where you're coming from, and you may be right.

DrWilgy wrote:Marginal. Based on Epi's behavior and vote pattern, I'm much more confident in Epi being civilian. I don't think Baddie Epi would lead a vote train on Floyd. I think if Epi was bad, Floyd would've been nightkilled instead, and Epi would've just re-voted nutella day 2.
I can see this, but it's worth noting that Epi himself has not only acknowledged but even used as a defense that his vote for Floyd was not meant to be a train. He merely suspected him for his own vote and subsequently voted for him having no idea that I would attempt (and succeed) to steer everyone in that direction based on placing my trust in him. Also, do we know that the baddies were aware that Floyd was the checker before the in-thread flip?

I think we're not getting anywhere with this because you don't want to get anywhere with this.

How about nutella over Epi, then? Is there a marginal difference or a slight one?

And please don't tell me it's the voting record again, there's more to reads than voting records. I understand you have to convince yourself you believe otherwise to justify your vote of me, but please just temporarily forget that falsehood for the sake of the question.

Then returning to the question, why is she preferable to Bullz in your view?

Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 5

Again I will ask S~V~S, why do you claim to be interested in talking about other candidates...

"Awesome, lets talk about that. I had some very clear ideas, and you have seemed to be on a totally different page from everyone from the start, when you look back on it."

...and have proceeded to not only refuse to talk about anyone else, but have further suspected me for focusing on players other than the ones most talked about?

Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 5

Also, in the case that you suspected was manipulation on my part, I wasn't reacting to you, I was asking a question about you.

linki - Big surprise there. So now that I've confirmed that the day is doomed (oh wait...I already did) let's talk about what happens when I flip civilian and whose going to be suspected next. I know convincing anyone else that I'm interested in town's win is impossible now, so rather than try to convince anyone I'll simply demonstrate that I am.

We need to talk about everyone. Not just me, and not just the main lynch candidates of yesterday and today. We cannot let anyone get off easily.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (season 1) - Day 5

Again, Wilgy's list was nutella, Epi, then you. My top three suspicions are Wilgy himself, followed by nutella and Epi. This being the case, there is nothing I was interested to hear elaboration from except for you being preferable to Bullz.

I find it strange that you're trying to push the idea that anyone except the top of the top lynch candidates should be talked about. Something to hide maybe?
