Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Day 3)

I'm not really moved by Nifty's response to Fred. Except of the fact that he has 7 ducks, which is awesome. I like Fred's point of how Nifty related to the Epi case, and how he blew off Wilgy while at the same time supposedly wanting a Gfish lynch.

@Nifty - You said in your post that Nut was scum read by everyone? When? That is not how I've perceived it.

@Nut - Can you talk more about what is thorough in Nifty's response and what you like about Fred's case? It's a cliché at this point, but that was real vague.

To spew out my train of thought, if either of Nifty or Nut flisp scum I think there's a decent chance the other is too.

@MP - Did you do any other analysis than your Adam one?

@Adam - I don't know how other sites does it with giving out roles, and I specifically don't know how Cindy Kate does it, but I always assume roles to be 100% randomly generated. I think what site you're from doesn't matter at all in this regard. Also, you say that Gfish's teammates would be on the Epi train - who specifically are you talking about?

In other news, I hate silencing as a mechanic, it's super annoying lol. Again, no shade game makers. I still strongly feel Jack is scum and the fact that he's silenced doesn't change this for me, though I want it clarified if scum can target their teammates, I assume they could. Furthermore I think Jack is one that could be on either team, and right now I trust none of yall, except potty mouth friend, so I'm going with who I feel is most scummy.

Vote Jack

Aaand I'm on a train with the spottiest wifi in history, so now I'm wondering if I'm ever going to be able to post this. Maybe I should write a story while I'm waiting for connection.

Once upon a time, there were 7 little ducklings living in the back yard of a beautiful house in the country side somewhere in Murica. The little ducklings had lost their mother, but fortunately they were not alone as they had a dog of an unspecified breed to look after them and raise them as they were his own. This, of course, had a peculiar effect on the little ducklings, who instead of quacking were heard barking loudly from time to time. "Let's play catch the ball!" said one of the little ducklings, and off they ran as fast as their little duck feet would alow them.

Linki: stuff.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Night 2)

Immediate thoughts on teamed with Gfish is Jack and Raven. Jack because I read him strongly as scum and I recall Gfish ninja switch to Llama to make it possible for Jack to save himself from being lynched D1. I also think Silver is scum but more likely Reaper because of his post about Epi, he didn't seem concerned at all, but I don't think Jack and Silver are teamed. I mean, it's possible but it's wow much bus. I remember thinking some Gfish/Raven interaction made them look teamed. Something about some player giving Raven some leeway because of health issues, (Get well btw Raven!), but Gfish seemed to have a different attitude to this which struck me more strict teammate distancy kind of thing. Outside possibilities would be Adam and Nifty, but I read them both more town independently. I don't buy Gfish and LC as teamed.

Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Night 2)

People I would invite to my birthday party:
Fred - Potty mouthed friend.
Nut - Hazelnut spread friend.
LC - I will yolo this read to my grave.
Wilgy - Yaaaas, bruh.

People I would go for long walks with (but maybe bring a knife in my back pocket just in case)
SVS - Tinks thoughty thoughts.
Adam - Makes me sane.
Nifty - Has the grrrs.
MP - Because I thought so D1.

People I want to get to know better:
Dom - Is like a mix of Epi and Llama and it's fun.
Sprit - Is standing on the outside looking in.

People I'm looking at while lifting one eyebrow:
TSP - Says some weird things I don't follow.
Raven - I've kind of forgotten the concrete reasons, so let's call it gut. (Actually the reasons are a bit silly).

People I will throw rocks at:
Silver - Doesn't feel like he did to me last game. Lack of scum hunting?
Jack - I don't feel like explaining this in detail. I think "not finding his footing" like Adam said is a good analogy. Many words, much mental gymnastics, which can go on forever, but I can see through it. His pokes on me is a placeholder, as it is with Nut.

Oh, and that guy:
Epi - Hi.

It's exactly the kind of outside the box "I am so much smarter than you" trickery you'd pull. And if you are the Geth, you don't know if the people going after you are Cerberus or Reapers so you're knowingly opening the possibility of weakening one of your potential sides to help the town.
But you know they're not town? =)

Yeah, that claim doesn't make sense to me at all. And I don't think I buy he's the type of player who would make such a decision because "how badass would it be". Honestly I have no read on Jack, he could go either way. Still see no point in having Epi hanging around, BUT if Gfish is likelier to be actual scum than (for now) neutral then he is a better lynch. Lynches are valuable in this setup. I'd be fine with both of these lynches, but Gifhs' story doesn't strike me as a truthful one. Also, want to point out that reading the roles, there's a very good chance of there being some vote shenanigans ongoing. Re: Mass Effect Mafia (Night 1)

A couple of things:

@Jack - When you say lazy scum hunting and don't like the reason I'm suspecting you, do you mean to say that I don't have a lot of basis for my suspicion? I'm very much a gut read type of player this being especially true D1. If my behavior was opportunitistic that would mean a lack of care. But I considered as carefully as I could, and yes without a lot of hard basis, but it shows that I do care. My vote landed on you cause I concluded you were the best choice. I don't expect you to like it regardless of your alignment. I still don't feel good about you. Do you see my behavior as different from last time we played together? What else do you expect from me as town?

- I second the suspicon on Silver as I think he's been rather forgetful. In the Phenon game he was pretty easy to identify as town and much more in the mix of things (even though that meant tunneling me half of the time lol).

- Lol at people discussing me and my gif usage. <3

The post she pointed out gave me weird feels as well. I've actually considered it as possible distancing, if I'm wrong on Nut. I don't really see how it's not possible for Nut to have town reads on players going after each other.

Llama, JoH, or Adam as my strongest scum reads...but......

I would lynch Immortal_Raven for failing to post straight up.
Can you explain your Adam read? Going to see if you've mentioned Jack earlier.
Overall the participation is a bit lower than I expected. But most games have their lurkers.
Yeah, you've mad your suspicion on Jack clear. *can't keep track*

I wouldn't say it's normal, no, but it doesn't particularly surprise me either.
What's your read on Llama?

Adam wrote:The diagram was just my way of pointing out that the only person who has votes out of my scum reads was llama, which is why i went that direction. I posted some reads a few hours ago, and haven't seen anything from llama to flip him out of the bottom chunk of the list.

As to who's avoiding getting involved, it's no one specific but the discussion as a whole. S~V~S commented on it, I noticed. But LC and llama are both making very strong meta allegations at the other, much stronger than most of the other verbal sparring we've seen so far. I would just expect more people to have chimed in on it at least a little bit, especially those who have more experience with the Syndicate meta.
Alright, seems I missed your reads. For me, I can feel myself being biased towards Llama cause I just like him, which should not interfere with my judgement ideally. I think LC is town, so I am paying attention to what he's saying. I also feel Llama hasn't really made a strong alligation as much as he was retorted, if that makes sense.

In the end, I can only use my vote like a gun in the hands of a true American, to shoot one player. So why vote everywhere?

In Phenom, I decided to break this habit to try to get more out of my vote so to speak, and voted Scotty. This was immediately pounced upon as my least genuine vote (cause it was), resulting in my death.

This has cemented my strategy. I vote once at the end of the phase unless I am lynch leading.
I don't remember how you voted in Phenon. I also don't have the same relation between you changing your vote and you getting killed, but it's possible that you do of course.

Adam wrote:I am voting thellama

He's at the intersection of the Venn diagram of players I have scum reads on and players who have votes on them. I also think it's a little weird that more people aren't interested in Long Con and llama's back and forth, almost like some people are studiously avoiding getting involved.
I actually am interested in it, and I could consider this vote as well. Could you talk more about the diagram of scum reads thing? And who are the some people avoiding getting involved, anyone in specific?
