Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - GAME OVER

LC - I kept posting about shit I knew BTS that I wasn't backing up with thread evidence. I don't even remember which posts it was, just that I got a little too forthcoming with BTS info.

The first one was fake. Silver was in the brig and I did it so that I could link to her later. But you guys linked it to a punishment so I went with it. The other punishments were real because I kept talking about BTS shit. Lol.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - GAME OVER

Awesome results!!! Congrats to all
On an awesome game. I only have a minute but a few things:

My smiley "punishment" was originally me choosing to self sensor because Silver was in the brig. It was me planning to have myself a connection to her I could use later if I needed to. After that, punishments were actual.

Yes, I thought Matt had been recruited by LC because of GMan apparently lol

INH is a great player and I wish I had more time as his BTSC partner.

I got BTSC at the end with Cavil but didn't have enough time to use it more than a post or two.

My win condition changed no less than four times (either officially or by picking between an either or.) I am not as schizophrenic as I seemed. One day I was bad then good then bad then good then OMG I was head-spinning!!

I'll say more later but Love y'all all, that was an awesome game, I am so happy and thankful to have been a part of this game as my return to Mafia!!

THANK YOU GOLDEN for this game and all your hard work!!

Just like Spacedaisy made us "figure something" by simply voting herself and being done with it, right? You're assuming Cavil is supposed to entertain us with posts, but he is free to do so only if he finds motive and, when that happens, most certainly his posts will be crafted to not actually reveal anything helpful.

I still caution the idea of lynching Cavil, if there are teammates left in the game - It would make it easy for them to blend under the "lynch Cavil" umbrella - and as long as suspicious players (at least from my POV) say "let's go for it", rather than pointing at connections remaining. "If we don't test it now we are dumb"? Hmpf.
Cavil CAN be lynched. I assure you. I have literally no doubt in my mind that Cavil CAN be lynched. The question is not whether or not he can be lynched, the question is the conditions in which he can be lynched.

BR - I disagree. Not only is she liable to slip, but people responding to her are liable to slip as well. We can learn a lot from not only her but people's reactions to her. IMO silencing her only protects those people from slipping or giving us more evidence against her.

JJJ - I was referring to Matt. Go reread the exchange. Heck, reread my posts about Matt and LC. Somebody, please PLEASE catch on for the love of God.

I think he looked clearly like a townie who had what he thought was a good reason to disagree with public sentiment, and he voiced that without concern for the consequences even when it wasn't at all likely to change the lynch result.

ObscureAllure's handling is the worst IMO:

Maybe there's a really good reason that I've been asking him about recruitment for like days and days and DAYSSSSSSSSSS and I keep referencing something behind the scenes with him and why on earth would I call him out for that if I were bad?? I've been trying to get y'all to catch on to something for EVER and y'all just like DERP. It's very frustrating and part of the reason I have pretty much just gone IDGAF on this game. I can't be any more obvious with out getting in trouble and still not one single freaking person who was supposed to catch on has caught on. Absofriiginlutely. It might be an if-then scenario (like she might have to be the last one of her group lynched) but she absolutely can be lynched. I think that scenario is probably the most likely, but I think we should test it now just in case and if we don't test it now we are dumb. Put GMan, Wigly, or Matt as second just in case.

Originally LC - although there was a reason for that that I can't talk about. Then, I thought Zebra/Rabbit was. Epignosis wrote:My turn to borrow Matt's tinfoil beanie.

Dex and Spacedaisy were the only two of the people resurrected to have been Night killed.

Nerolunar and juliets were not Night killed.

Perhaps there is a John Cavil recruitment among the Final Five only, but it involves being Night killed first.
I think that this is possible, but maybe another layer to this? Like maybe they had the option and had to signal if they agreed. That's how Dex knew he was going to be night killed, he chose to be recruited. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Rico - you have to understand something ... I used to play with many players on this site for many, many years. I've known SVS for damn near ten years and used to play with her often. Her play style used to be very similar to my play style back then and I banter with her. I also used banter with LC, BR, Gman (although this game he treats me almost non existent which is weird), Typhoony and heck even Golden in similar ways. Me bantering with SVS is because I'm happy to be playing with an old comrade. If you chose to hold that against me role wise, I can't stop you, but regardless of what my role is... I'm excited to have so many old friends around. As far as my bouncing back and forth on her ... SVS has DRAMATICALLy changed her play style. I think I even said this before. She used to me way more emotional and responsive. I was having terrible trouble reading her. Honestly, I've felt all game completely lost because not only am I trying to figure out game mechanics (which have been especially confusing for me for various reasons) but I'm trying to relearn players and their styles. People have changed a lot in some ways while still stay the same in others. I can honestly say that not only did I have trouble reading her, but I NEVER would have guessed her to be Cavil. I know you'll probably use that statement against me, but it's true. I had someone else pegged for it and was wrong. And Polo's "I'm 100% sure!" with no thread evidence backing it up and no punishment still confuses me. As far as her interaction with me... I think she had future plans for me so she was setting up that I was a civv and didn't expect her plans to go south.

Regarding G-Man and the BTSC thing: G-Man has BTSC this game. I have no doubt that was a slip. While BTSC in itself doesn't indicate being bad, I think it make it make likely.
Nerolunar wrote:I don't know the show apart from what has been discussed anyways, so I am not going to trust in people's interpretation of Caprica Six and Leoben.
I haven't watched the show, but I think love is a huge driving factor and everyone has said that Six was deeply in love with Gaius and turned against the cylons for him. I think that love would be enough to pull someone from the dark side. So I, for one, think that Six is probably a good cylon and civvie aligned. Most likely paired with her lover. (Assuming that much is connected to the lore, that is.)
Ricochet wrote:in that, if Wilgy cannot be Caprica Six, any other variant is no longer exonerable via lore, given how Boomer's flip was (relatively) off lore.
Then why is he still ALIVE.
Matt wrote:
JaggedJimmyJay wrote:I don't think it's clear cut that Cavil can't be lynched. That might genuinely be b/s.

But that says absolutely nothing to me about Spacedaisy.
Listen, I'm not saying you guys are wrong. Hell, you Rico and Epi all are legendary and seem to agree on Daisy so I prolly am wrong.

But I just don't understand it if it's true. I just don't get why Dex would push looking at the Final Five, when it would include himself and Daisy if Daisy were bad, instead of pushing to lynch his unkillable master.

Doesn't make sense. Then again, who knows? I can only plead my case, feel free to ignore as usual town.
I hate agreeing with you agai... but seeing now that SD is bad I have to ask this... Why on EARTH would Dex point us towards himmself and SD? Unless they both just didn't want to play and sacrificed themselves? It's weird.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote:Cool beans.

I think there's a decent chance Spacedaisy was bad all game long.
I firmly believe that she was a human prior to her (first) death. :srsnod:
LINKI: Yeah what Polo said, too.

From FRAK YEAH to MAYBE

G-Man > ObscureAllure > DrWilgy > Matt

John Cavil would be before G-Man if it weren't for the "could be unlynchable for now" dillema.
I support three of the four of these. I'll give you four guesses which one is the good girl?

He's either an info role or F5 given what he's known. I'm more inclined to think he's an info role based on his play, but I don't get why he's not dead yet if he is, which makes me think he might be bad. So I don't know. I guess he could be a well protected info role and be good. Or lucky.

Did you forget our exchange on this topic?
Dex wrote:You asked me the same question and I gave you the same answer as did S~V~S. The finer points of the debate deserve more attention. You seem to only regard the Cain or Cavil first question non contextually; in a vacuum, which is the greater evil, Cain or Cavil? You are dismayed when anybody answers anything but Cavil. But S~V~S and I were coming from a context where we were fairly certain who Cain was - and we were right - and had no idea who Cavil was. It could have taken us all game to find Cavil; we had Cain in hand.

And I'm not sure what you mean by the mafia boss "being more dangerous to mafia than to civs". That may be true per se, Cavil wants all humans dead (I presume) and Cain didn't want any humans dead. But you overlook the fact that Cain made civ victory twice as difficult by requiring twice the number of lynches to win. And that's just the numerical disadvantage. Martial law was depriving us of half the cylons as aliies, and denying us whatever powers they had that might be of great usefulness to the civ cause. Possibly even, for example, finding Cavil.

What you are apparently preferring here is that we spend an indeterminate amount of time prioritizing a search for a particular role with half the chance to win the game than to take out first a known target that will double our chances of winning.

If anybody had even the slightest inkling who Cavil was, we may have answered you differently. Taking out a target who we had pretty much identified who was having a serious negative effect on a civ victory was a far, far better choice.
During the course of a lengthy debate, I also asked you for a name. How have you forgotten all of this? Selective memory? In my last in-case-I'm-NKed post, just before I was in fact NKed, I named S~V~S as one of my strongest civ reads, and that remains the case. I find your tunneling on her very peculiar.
Unless this is a very elaborate dance by the mafia in thread, I'm going to withdraw my previous accusation of Polo bussing SVS.

Like, Dex just called out Polo for being a liar in defense of SVS before she was lynched. Haha. If Polo was mafia too that'd be cray cray!

I'm also liking sig still, even more after seeing his interaction with Dex about Glorfy.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm inclined to agree. Not saying I think polo is good, but in the least I don't think he's Cavil aligned.

Right now I'd be fine with an Epi, Wilgy, and to a lesser extent OA lynch. I DO NOT THINK WE SHOULD VOTE FOR CAVIL AT ALL!
Also I see no reason to vote for Polo that is strange.
Post 4 yay well this never happened. My day got really busy with the grandparents visiting and getting ready for my graduation party.
I will do it during the night phase I guess the quick skim is that Epi didn't look that much worse just a bit, and Wilgy looked much worse imo.

Also again why are we lkynching Cavil? I think two things will happen either he will get more power or we will have wasted a day phase, this is stupid just ignore them.

This makes no sense, nobody is saying we should kill all the cylons if they were we'd be lynching WIlgy and Epi today not someone else. I wouldn't mind lynching OA at some point. I'd be fine with a Gman lynch, but will hold my vote for the time and if it isn't needed to vote for Gman I'll be voting for Epi or Wilgy. Since they should be lynched.
Yup because all the cylons lynched so far are definitely Mafia. Y'all don't think it's weird that outside of polo knowing Cavil, all the other cylons have been good, even the ones who lore says should be bad?! And now suddenly lots of people post I'm bad with NO evidence, and with someone out there saying they know who I am and I'm good (and they were right about Cavil) but y'all want to lynch me anyway. It's ridiculous how well the Mafia have convinced you guys that this game is set up a certain way and even with allllllllll the evidence pointing otherwise, you're still just chugging right along.

Not kill all the cylons, kill all the civvie cylons. And you have. Y'all have managed to kill all but one civvie Cylons and y'all talking about killing me now. Ridiculous.

Yes, Polo, you literally said that in the post you quoted. You also never got punished for your 100% certain without thread evidence crap. I think either you're with Cavil and that was a set up OR you're on a human Mafia team because I don't think you're the civvie role checker and I don't think there's two.. Either way...

Wrong and the Mafia are a mix of humans a cylons and that there are more good cylons (and bad humans) left than we realize.

Just in case, I believe we should lynch the confirmed Cylons.

Epignosis has been acting very mafioso since I started accusing S~V~S of being Cavil. ObscureAllure is an option too, and I don't discard Wilgy.

You think confirmed colons should be lynched first but you put me before Wigly?! Wtf?! Since when am I confirmed anything? Wigly is a CONFIRMED CYLON with a higher chance of being bad than good based on statistics. I have evidence showing I'm good and I'm not a confirmed Cylon so I have a higher chance of showing up civvie.... But me before him. Riiiiiiiight. And you wonder why I said I think you and SVS are bad? I think you set up her getting lynched on purpose and you're saving Wigly now.

Nah. There was a change, but not the one you think. And I'm not paying attention to them because they aren't offering anything of substance. Their accusations are surface level or reaching or just made up and I can't defend against something that doesn't exist other than to say it doesn't exist. My record speaks for itself. Therefore, I dismiss all else.

Interesting. I think this means ObscureAllure is Caprica Six, which is why she is not comfortable with leaving Sig and Wilgy alive.

Wilgy is the only of those who is a confirmed Cylon, which means I have been wrong in believing he was Caprica Six; this means he is probably Leoben Conoy. And after a quick read at lore I think I know what is Leoben's rolepower.

Show me why you think he's Conoy. Show me. Because he says he's not bad? Show me actual evidence.

Go ISO the confirmed Cylon Wigly, if you please. Or are you just going to ignore that he's more likely to be bad than good? Because when he's bad and you see I've been screaming it since night two, maybe then you'll believe me.

I actually I think got something backwards. I interpreted something about you based on my knowledge of someone else, but my knowledge of someone else was interpreted wrong which makes you shoot up my town-read-o-meter. This game is crazy. I don't know if you're bad or not, but I don't think you're a Cylon. I guess you could be final five, but I definitely don't think you're a Cylon anymore.

Linki: WIGLY, sig (although I think I may have found an alternative situation in my reread here so I reserve the right to remove), rabbit (I think Zebra was recruited), Matt, and either Polo or SVS
Can you assure me that if I'm NK'd tonight you will vote for S~V~S tomorrow?
No? Because if she isn't Mafia, the Mafia would just NK you to set her up? And if she is Mafia, why would she NK you after you've shouted her name for days with out any evidence (and that's making you look bad?) [wifom]I would just continue letting you dig your own grave[/wifom]
There's also the chance that she could NK me in order to make people believe I was just a conspiracy theorist and then everyone ignores that she's mafia and she escapes unscathed. Is this a possibility you ignore?

Totally possible. I just think it's unlikely. SVS is a very straight forward player. She typically plays to her gut and emotions, and fights with every breath for what she believes or what she wants people to believe that she believes. However, I've never known her to backdoor people or play the "if I kill him" approach. If anything, I'd say she usually goes for low posters or confirmed townies when she night kills.

2) If Epi were some super-devious role-flipping seemer-bot, why wouldn't Glorfindel have fought Epi's status all game long?

3) Are we actually considering some kind of role-flipping seemer-bot ability for the baddies on top of everything we already know/suspect? Isn't that just a little much to cram into one game? Doesn't it make things a more complicated and difficult than it needs to be?

This feels like a distraction that needs to be shelved and ignored.
#2 sounds very reasonable. I could extend to same train of thought to ask why hasn't Dex's read on Wilgy-as-likely-Conoy been strongly, specifically contested so far, just like the Wilgy-is-Six line has received major no's?
For me, I haven't personally seen anything from him or anyone else that says they are Conoy. I have, however, seen a very clear hint and situation that tells me who Six (and probably Gaias) are when that person wasn't being suspected and cylinders were a target which makes me think they'd have no reason to lie about it. (And it wasn't Wigly.)
