Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]

Golden, I am tired of reproducing your images. Find another engine, or maybe someone else who wants me dead can do it.

I am going to revert to my prior days stance.

If all you guys wanna do is lynch me and not the baddies, let's do it. It will be awesome rubbing this in peoples noses. DH seems to have a history of misjudging me in Arkham games. I am up for it.

The mainpoint is that I would also defend a teammate like Glorfindel. You can't compare him & Sabie. He is playing and trying & is very involved.

Again, you only do things you have done before?

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 7]

Also, you keep trying to reconstrue the points of the suspicion against you into being about your tone in here vs. Star Wars.

I really think it is about your content in this thread. From the time I thought you were being super selective about what you said regarding trusting Zebra and distrusting Matt, I have had you in the back of my mind. That had nothing to do with your tone, although you also tried at that time to say it was about your politeness and tone, and again, it was your content.

Anyones points linking me to Sabie are untrue. Because I was not linked to Sabie. Since this is a game of hidden knowledge, it is easy to take almost any supposition and find a way to find evidence for it. But That does not make the case correct. Other people apparently judged it based on the content, and as the person who knows the truth of it, I judged it based on that truth.

And there is no truth in it. And that is really all I can say about it. I can go through it point by point and say "Nope" to all of them if you like.

Basically, I agree with what's been said already - the well of newer players being Mafia has dried up. On the law of averages, you'd have to assume that there are one or two more experienced players involved as part of the Mafia families.

On that note, some time ago I was playing a Mafia game where (as Town) I'd concocted this theory on the guilt of one of my fellow players based on their use of certain punctuation in their posts. I was absolutely convinced of their guilt and put my case to the rest of the players in that game. Needless to say I got laughed out of town and rightly so, I was completely wrong. Now please don't misunderstand me here - I fully respect the ability of each and everyone of you, my fellow players and in particular S-V-S. I know we had that run-in early on over my post that you thought was too carefully worded. I think that case was pretty thin (more so than the one I described above) and what's more, it was wrong.

I found your argument with Golden interesting and for better or worse, I think his judgement is pretty good from all accounts (after all, you don't win all those Socky's for nothing). And then, in the dying shadows of dawn, you started accusing me again. You said that you would vote for me because I am not direct in answering questions - and that may be true. I do the best I can to contribute fully and respect each and everyone of you in the face (sometimes) of some considerable provocation. You would do well not to misjudge me for that.

In terms of my vote right now, I think it will be S-V-S. I have an open mind and if someone comes up with a better case before tomorrow morning, I'll happily consider it.
Um hm. Golden has been defending you most of the game on a more or less overt level.

Can you tell me why you are going to vote for me without quoting his case? Or paraphrasing it?
@GLORFINDEL~

I see you were here long enough to reply to Dom, can you please reply to me?

Thanks :)
You were oddly silent on the SVS/Sabie speculation. Care to comment?
It was wrong. I said so. Not much else to say about that. I was not Sabies teammate, I had no idea of Sabies role, and no more read on her than on Equivocate or Ekeknat. The only think I can recall her saying is that she had run out of her meds. I found speculation that she was my teammate, and that I was trying to save her, to be bizarre when I have literally received a Mafia Award for throwing teammates under the bus. I found the case to be speculative at best, and overblown at worst.

What should I have said about it?

If you are trying to imply that the lack of a solid defense, in your opinion, is the same as asking someone to explain why they are planning on voting for someone, it is not.

Glorfindel wrote:

Yes, Dom - I do. I am experiencing some technical difficulties here at the moment that are making posting incredibly annoying. I am trying to address these issues as quickly as I am able but given that I want to post a considered case to support my vote, I trust that you will bear with me in this.

I also appreciate your perspective on the comparison of my posts and playstyle in previous games but I would counsel Juliets not to abandon her views too easily. As bea commented to me some days ago, sometimes having that 'distance' from people and events can prove more revealing than you might think.
So... who? If you can write this post you can surely write a name of someone you'd like to lynch and a few reasons why.
Exactly so; if I vote for Glorfindel, it will not be for his compartive meltdown status between whatever game and this. I am the last person to judge someone based on this sort of thing. If I vote for him, it will be becasue he is not very direct when asked a question, and he attempts to couch suspicions of him as being based on his demeanor rather than on his content when that is not necessarily the case.

I did not say it was civ, TH, I said it was frustration. That is not necessarily a baddie motiviation. I think frustration is outside of affiliation, I guess. I agree that it is lame, but it is what it is.

Linki, OK. I did not read it that way,and I apologize. I thought it was a sweeping thing.

Linki @ Golden, no I am actually having better. Why is my saying your cases are funny upsetting to you? You are really wrong, and I am finding it kinda fun to read your cases.

sprityo, why would you drop a vote on yourself if youre not bad and not an inmate? i just don't understand.
Why do you think only baddies vote for themselves? Sprit may be bad, but a self vote can be from frustration, and in my experience that is the usual reason for it.
Sprit's comment in general looks super shifty (almost as shifty as TH). Like he's okay with a Floyd lynch - but if he doesn't have to save himself he'll vote himself? What does that even mean?
I was asking Jules a question; she seems to be saying that she does not unerstand why someone would self vote if not bad. I am not commenting on Sprit himself at all. I am asking Jules a question;why does she think that? As a self voter, this answer interests me.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 6]

I have not already won the game, but yeah, I don't have much of a reason to fight back. I am demoralized and unhappy, and have been for most of the game. I had like 10 seconds of awesome, and then, poof.

So keep making your cases. they're hilarious.
