If I had to pick who might be Sabie's teammate(s) between LoRab and SVS, I'd say maybe SVS. Between those two and Matt? I'm not liking Matt these days. I think Glorfindel is acting very bad and sprit is bad too.

I am not, but this is a game and yet another game where I argue with people over what my emotional reactions mean does not appeal to me at this time.

This is Mac's first mention of Nero. I don't know what natty means but in context it's a defense of his character in the same post where Mac says he hasn't read much content.

For those who have not read this 90 page behemoth, Mac made a big deal over me using the word "we" to refer to civilian behavior, and Nero backed him up with a definitive statement about how it made me bad. When I called Nero out for sounding so sure about it, he backed off with a "No haha lots of time left." After Mac and I hashed it out for 100 posts or so, I made this comment about Nero and Mac gave this half-hearted agreement. I believe Nero simply got too confident in following a teammate's suspicion here, and upon realizing that he backed off.

I'm not actually dismissing the possibility that he was cursed by The Joker. Maybe The Joker can do that as part of his secrets. I am dismissing the possibility that it occured via Matt having targeted him.

Matt's suspicion of Nerolunar is based on Nero talking about the Riddler. Matt is probably The Riddler and thinks Nero is the cop that needs him dead.
In which Mac calls into question Matt's motives for wanting to lynch Nero. This is a bizarre post, mostly because Mac had been defending Matt up until this point. But this not only discredit's Matt's suspicion of Nero, it discredits his motives entirely by speculating that Matt is the Riddler himself. If you look through Mac's posts, this is the only point in the game where Mac questions his civvieness, when it relates to Nero as a suspect. Mac reads Matt as civ in all situations except where it relates to Nero.

Matt eventually seems like a goner, but then Enrique comes in with his 180 on the subject, and people are looking for a new lynch target.

This post is a direct response to DH saying we should lynch Nero. He doesn't name Nero, instead tries to pivot back to his earlier suspicion of me by mischaracterizing my play as "screeching to a grinding halt".

Nerolunar - There was the thing on day 1 where he tried to jump in on the Turnip Head suspicion and when TH growled at him he backed off all like "lol jks bra" and tbh that is arguably the most surface scummy thing that has occurred. Coupled with Matt wanting him lynched...

I think I'd endorse Nero being lynched over sig.
This is the first indication that Mac thinks the thing I mentioned on Day 1 was "the most surface scummy thing that has occurred". But Mac never votes for Nero on the basis of that and never interrogates Nero the way he had me for the "we" thing.

This bravado rings false. The Catwoman thing seems like an allusion to the fact that Matt thought Nero was the Riddler, and Enrique thought Nero was the Joker. To me it feels like Mac knew Nero would flip mafia against the evidence, and while he wanted to sound confident he also wanted to poke fun at the conspiracy theories.

Strong Civ reads: Juliets, Mac and Golden. They seem very genuine and has brought on some good points. I find myself to mostly agree with these people. I should include Scotty here too since I too believe that Wilgy was Robin.

Slight Civ reads: Sorsha. This guy seems very reasonable but doesn´t post that much which strikes me as odd. Dom and MP also strike me as civvy.

I have ased him that question a few times now and keeps ignoring it. If he doesn´t answer I might go ahead and vote him. Dharma because he only usually pops in to comment on something then leaves. Nero didn't make very many posts that were about his thoughts on other players, but I specifically asked him for this one. Of these players, Mac is the only one that Nero had any sort of contact with, and Nero labelled him among his civ reads. This is something I think Mac would tell him it would be okay to do. The whole thread has read Mac as town, why shouldn't Nero?

Nero once again calls Mac a town read. Both of these posts took place before Enrique did his 180 on Matt, so at the time Matt seemed like the sure thing and there was no reason for Nero to feel like he was in danger and no reason to heavily distance from teammates.

Let me know what you think y'all. I know it's difficult to look at Mac's posts from this context but if you search his posts for "Nerolunar" and "Nero" and read the bits of the thread surrounding his mentions of Nero, I think there's good evidence for them being on a team together.

Rereading Mac in this light led me to t hink TH had a very good point. TH backed off of him, but it was before publication of the exixtence of the bread crumb. But I have seen lots of false bread crumbs, and not taking it into account, I think he sounds pretty bad to me.

I think the more relevant question is, why is Mac's behaviour in any way suspicious? What about his crumb hint looked suspicious? Have you seen that tactic used by baddies before? And why was he taking votes on that day in the first place, that necessitated him having to work to defend himself? Pre bread crumb, I discussed why I thought he was bad. Then the way he handled the role hint felt very, very, very *faux* to me. OMG OMG ROLE HINT then once he isn;t lynched, well, it was not so apparent, was it?

If he is lynched and not bad, tbh, the whole role hint made him more suspect, not less for the most part.

This might just be one of those things that I won't be able to understand between us this game, Dom. One of the many accruing seeds of misunderstanding that I feel might be sown into a tree of suspicion as the game rains on.

Can anyone offer me an opinion on what the phrase "have his or her role sent to a rival person" means? Like if the target was a member of one of the crime families, the answer is I should think obvious but what if the target was other than Mafia, how do you see this playing out?

That is (I assume) where one is obvious and the player with the conflicting win condition is still alive. What I'm getting at though is just how significant an ability do we consider this to be? Would it be of greater gravity to some roles over others?
Reposting as I only got one answer to this. @Golden, @Dom, @MP and @Enrique - may I have your thoughts please? I ask respectfully as in addition to DH, you all seem to be more knowledgeable on these sorts of things and I genuinely value your input.

One player with a win condition conflicting with his own, I would assume. I was targeted by a similar role in another game, and I was a civ. They said they would send my role to a baddie, iirc. ANY civvie has a conflicting win condition to a baddie, and and baddie has a win condition conflicing with the civs, as well as various inmates. So if Penguin targets a civ, they threated to send the role to a baddie, or vice versa, assuming this works the same. And it's (one of) the same hosts, Epignosis, so I imagine it is similar.

Not sure where I am voting today. I cleared my slate after the BR lynch. Up to that point, the person I most suspected, to be honest, was TH. Since then we have had Crumbgate (still up in the air about that) and now the Coffeepot Dome scandal. As for that, I am totally neutral on Jules, as I usually am. She pretty much always reads the same to me, although I have a better grip on her bad game since A World Reborn (although not enough to move her to full clear), but I have not seen anything super alarming. I would like to Commish to be clearer.

I have seen full on civ DH up close & personal more than I might like, lol. He may be right or he may be wrong, but he is never retiring. That is who I think I see here. Either he really, really believes this, or perhaps he was Penguined. I don't see any profit to a bad DH in falsely accusing Juliets in such an overt manner.

I like Enriques point about making a big deal of this. We must be a mutual admiration society. I am planning to reread Sabie, and to listen to what the commish clearly said, and perhaps look into someone I trusts suspicions.

I don't understand why DH would go so far out of his way to manufacture a false suspicion against Juliets of all people. I hink he really believes it, and don't suspect him for it, although I think it is pretty tenuous. So I am going to reserve judgment on this until we hear back from the Commish.

TBH, I am not sure bad DH would go to this extreme.

Being able to recruit yourself to someone else is pretty powerful, actually. That person would have to watch & analyze without tipping too much of their hand to make the right decision. A mafia team with 2 and a cop could gain a 4th member that way, or some civ BTS could start going down. I would think that was how most people would use that role personally. Rupert would pick someone they felt good about, and join up with them.

*Everyone* would get "Mac", not everyone would get "coffee" due to history. It would be like one of us who played at the Piano dropping "Chameleon" as a hint, when there are probably 10 people playing this game that would get that reference as a reference to YOU. Or referring to me with a comment about Vincent the dog, since that used to be in my user name at LP and for a while all my avatars were yellow labs. Again, half the players would feel the breeze ruffling their hair at that reference flew over their heads.

I think we should ask the Commish to clarify. Looking at who knows her by that name, it's about half the player list. I would think the person who is writing those posts would know this would be a super obscure reference for half of the players.

I Googles "commissioner gordon coffee" and appareently this is a thing, quite a few links to a youtube I did not watch featuring Batman and the Commissioner drinking coffee, and there are also quite a few images of the Commissioner drinking coffee as well. I drink coffee. Lots of people drink coffee.

So I am hoping the commish will let us know; are his references super obscure, or does he just like coffee?

Juliets used to be known as Juliets Coffee on one of the sites some of us used to play at.

Glorfindel, if you are talking about me, I suspected you becasue you came in from a catch up and trusted only one person, and your only suspect was someone who suspected the person you said you trusted. When I questioned you about it, I noted your carefully worded answer. People interpreted that to mean I was discussing you unfailingly chivalrous & polite demeanor, but I was actually referencing your wording.

I really did feel he was encouraging us to lynch him, like there was a point to it. And Glorfindel, we did not lose any civs, true, but we did not learn anything either.

Early in the game I found Glorfindel to be somewhat suspicious, but then I did some reading of the roles, and rereading a few people, and backed off of that becasue I saw at least one civ possibility for his behavior. Now it looks like he is gathering suspicion again. So I plan to reread him, and the new suspicions of him.

One quick question, can anyone explain to me why they are so sure that Zebra was bad? Other than by who killed her? Becasue my thoughts on Glorfindel are wrapped up inmy thoughts on Zebra.

MP when someone does not shut up no matter what I say to them, I don't want to talk anymore. Take that as you may. If all kinds of people see bread crumbs, the last thing that is fun for me is arguing with someone loves nothing more than talking about themself. I just give up.

Yeah I haven't seen any of the newer Batman films either. So maybe I will dig up Batman & Robin.

As for the lynch, I don't particularly think I have seen evil MP, he finds it so hard to keep that glee out of his tone when he's bad, but if he wants to go he wants to go.

I also still think THs case on Mac had merit, but if everyone is seeing this breadcrumb, I could not find it, but I will take peoples word for it. The fact that TH made the case, then backed off of it hard must make it a fairly substantial one. So I am willing to step back on that, but I don't love it.

I will be in and out today, but will be in for the night well before the poll ends.

Sorry didn't intend for it to sound so harsh SVS. I'm not really reading you as civ (or Mac) friendly in this game either so if my approach to you is abrasive it's only because of how I feel about you in the game. No personalsies.

Turnip Head backed off of him Before the Black Rock lynch, so if he saw the crumb, he saw it before he started pushing Black Rock specifically over Mac. When I asked him to link me to his cases, he only linked me to the one on Black Rock. When I went and found the Mac case, and voted for him, and Dom not long after me, TH came right out and said, let's lynch Black Rock and talk about Mac tomorrow.

TH was trying to save Mac before the lynch even was set.

Actually,this guy Merlin did it in a game in the Piano. Nutella hosted it, it had a Fairy Tale theme. I was the role checker. Merlin was bad, and I checked him. I did a clumsy case on him, he false role claimed in the last few hours of the day, and *I* got lynched. He was an amazing player.

But yeah, it happened EOD like this. I even role claimed my role (I was a nub) and BR did not believe me, lol. It was maybe my third game.
