Yes I know who he voted for. I said that no one voted for anyone after Golden announced sprits penalty votes except Niju. So if no one voted except Niju that would mean Kyle voted before the penalty was announced.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 15, 2018 8:42 pm No, Kyle voted for Boomslang. I want to know if he did so after sprityo's penalty votes were announced. If so he knew Boomslang would still be safe even wth hs vote. So t does nothng to convnce me that they might not be teammates.

None of the sprit voters voted for him after the penalty votes. IIRC only Niju voted after Golden announced the penalty.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 17
I feel worse about INH than Kyle (I'm from NYC, I pronounce Kyle with 2 syllables, just like I pronounce "Wild" with 2 syllables. Sorry, KyUll). I didn't like the way INH reacted to hearing Pikachu had lynched LC and he was bad; he was annoyed we had managed more votes and a lynch rather than happy we caught a baddie. And the thought someone had, about my roles and INHs' roles. I would not have voted to lynch on it alone, but yeah, I thought of that too.

No worries, you won't hear about Day 5 anymore. You can just ignore that.Scotty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 13, 2018 5:09 pm
This is Day 5- SVS' favorite day, but it has nothing to do with Evens. So ignore that for now. On Day 5, Marmot votes for INH for no good reason. Then INH does a NO U for some reason. This might have well been a joke vote because 3 hours later comes INH's opus on why sig is bad. We now know sig was civ, so this case could have been advantageous. Sig was at the bottom of his rainbow list, so it's not like this came out of nowhere. But INH didn't actually want to lynch Marmot. I mean, hell...Marmot was as civ as jack in INH's rainbow list a day prior!
I will be back to vote. Hasta la vista, honeys.

This is part of the reason I thought you were bad, Sloonei. I no longer think so, but can you see my perspective?
"I don't really think this happened but I don't actually remember it and aren't going to read it to figure it out."
Epignósis missing THAT vote was critical, it could have been the difference between LC being lynched or not.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 15
You should reread it. It is fairly illuminating. And the lynch was very visibly tied, you should at least consider ithere may have been someone trying to save LC before lynching people on POE. I mean you are dismissing it out of hand without even reading it.Sloonei wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 7:32 pmI am not as certain that there was an effort to save Long Con in Cerberus as you are. I did not want to say this when I was being lynched because I figured it would just he turned against me, but the frustration about our lack of lynches had been mounting. The push by Scotty, myself, and others to get somebody lynched could very well havd just been a product of collective frustration.
Kyle was largely disengaged and I wouldn't expect him to put up a big fight to save his teammate. He just wasn't active enough at the time.
Having said all that, I do not remember exactly how things went down that day.

Kyle didn't care who was lynched day five; indeed Kyle didn't care about the lynch enough to even vote. Had he voted for sig, LC might not have been lynched. I find him an unlikely Even.
And Scotty mocking people isn't nice. I am not conducting.

Wow, and you call ME tinfoil, Epi, lol.
I don't see how anyone can be cleared by being NKed in a game with two lives, possible target switching roles, possible post death alignment switches and an Even team featuring a guy who killed himself for cred. In a game Epi hosted, iirc.
Epi said this re Sloonei:
I don't think being NKed clears Scotty. I think he fits two sets of criteria, so I voted for him.

Epi said this re Sloonei:
Nope, I fully believe he used his powers for good. I saw his role, some, um, things, made sense to me that had not before.Sloonei's first role was one that could steal powers and use them on other people, and there was no limit on how many times he could use the ability. If you believe Sloonei is an Evil Even, then it means he could have eventually copied LC and nutella's very powerful roles multiple times and caused wicked chaos. I understand Sloonei was on a different tribe than both of them and this opportunity never presented itself, but all that would have had to have happened was Lorab pushing the button Night 1, potentially putting Sloonei in the same tribe as Long Con and nutella, and he would have had a field day copying their vote manipulations and fake revelations.
I don't think being NKed clears Scotty. I think he fits two sets of criteria, so I voted for him.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 15
Quin I think part of it stems back to Chuck. I think you saw what I was saying re the role reveal, but thought I was in space about the "Chuck is still bad" part. And whenever I start to think that that makes no sense, I go back and reread LCs 2nd lynch, and I am right back there again. He tried HARD to get Dom lynched; both Chuck and LC did. Then after LCs flip, Chuck was like "meh" re Dom. And rereading it, it was like even more than trying to get Dom lynched, he was trying to get people to not vote for LC.
Which, with the game mechanics we did not understand at Pikachu at that point, makes eminent sense for an Even.
This belief has kind of thrown off my whole game. I don't know whether I am a freaking genius or a freaking moron. After yesterday, I am leaning to the latter tbh.
If post game it turns out Chuck was bad I will feel tons better, but right now my confidence is shot.
Re the Even we are looking for, if it is one person I think it is Scotty. He fits both set of criteria, on Slooneis list and a thread leader the day of the day 5 sigwagon. But I don'tintend on getting pushy about it as I am now afraid of haywire instincts.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 15
Actually the feeling in not un-mutual, if you know what I mean. Except you still hit civ on my GTH. I have spent most of this game feeling you and I were on the same page but not quite. Similar but surprisingly different pages.
My thoughts at this point; looking at Slooneis list, it comes down to between Scotty and Kyle. And that list cross references with my list of people for the Day 5 Cerberus sigwagon. And I don't think Kyle had anything to do with that wagon. He did not vote, he was mostly defending from Scotty.
So for me, it's Scotty. He's on Slooneis short list, he's on my short list. He looks like the person who pushed the unified sigwagon most on Day 5.
So chucking the eggplant to Scotty. Catch!

And for clarity, that bit about having fun was a mafia in general remark, and is not directed towards this thread or this game. It was a philosophical thing, and prolly should have been in green. I was replying to a comment before the one I posted.
I think domineering isn't fun, and no one has done that at all in this game, and I am sorry if that was not clear.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 15
I steered the thread Day 5. Whenever anyone tried to bring the discussion around to LC maybe being good, I forced them to confront the Facebook lie. Sloonei did it by setting the parameters for acceptable discussion. Lots of posts =/= steering. I did not steer anything today, setting litmus tests is steering and telling people what to discuss is steering. When I say steering I don't mean dominating, I mean something specific. Steering isn't always bad, but when maintained over time I tend to view it that way.
If you want to blame me for a bad result then go for it, I don't disagree. I listened to everything, I just didn't agree.
And yeah winning is the goal. So is having fun and keeping low posters engaged.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 15
This dominating and guiding the thread business is part of the problem. That makes people not part of the dominating and guiding clique feel unimportant. We are 20 some individuals, not a hive mind. We need to keep that in mind and not let us it others off if they don't agree with every aspect of heterodox thought.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 9:07 pmIs this to say you disapprove of the theory that has been dominating and guiding the thread for the last three phases?Epignosis wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 7:48 pmI don't agree with this method.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 7:22 pm Look guys we know that there is an Even among the group left from pikachu 2.0. I've seen, what, three roles that make other roles that can look this way or that? All it takes is one mafia role that says, "You can target someone from either tribe."

And as I have said all game long, we are all working on supposition, we don't actually *know* anything. In light of roles like Nutellas and LC's, we can't even be 100% on flips. And I strongly dislike people discounting thread work becasue it does not fit a mechanics construct that is only hypothetical. One of the games I hosted, Dogma, is a game that I know to have been one of Goldens faves (and that Juliets co hosted). It included an entire dead team the rest of the thread knew nothing about, it include merged bad teams, it included a shitton of chaos. Golden likes the mystery, not the predictability.
So if I think someone is bad, I don't appreciate it being blown off becasue it doesn't fit someone elses hypothetical construct. I will take the constructinto account, but it won't trump threadwork in this mechanics scenario.

him putting you high up on the list for reasons that he also applied to scotty, who was low on his list doesn't look good to me.
your being good or bad isn't particularly relevant to Sloonei's treatment of you and others in regards to the PoE. the only way Sloonei pulling you away from the fire looks bad for both you and him is if you're both evens, which seems unlikely and also isn't the point that I'm arguing.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 15
I see that the Bob wagon did not pull out of the station.
I think you're bad, not weird. I am weird, I own that shit, I still think Chuck was bad, I have no problem with weird. But I think you have been doing a good job destroying one team, and falling back on "not engaged" when you have been VERY engaged.
I also think Boom is bad, and am beginning to worry about Daisy. If Kyle flips civ, civs need to take the thread back from the baddies.
It isn't a "case" and I don't have to put the pieces together, I observed, I reported, people make up their own minds. I don't think that is necessary to catch a baddie, to knit all the pieces into a nice scarf and wrap it all together with a big bow. I'm a shitty case builder, but I am an excellent observer. I lay out the yarn and people can make their own scarves. You're shady, my friend. Supa shady.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 5:44 pm SVS's case against me, for instance, is a collection of questionable behavior from me. She's been astute to observe all of these things, it's nice to know someone is paying attention to me. But I fail to see how she puts all the pieces together to make me bad. I just look weird.

I am rapidly disengaging myself, lol.
Gonna check the eggplant at [VOTE: Slonei] aubergine
I have thought he was bad ever since I started reading in Cerberus and literally 3 minutes after the lynch post, he had the lynch mechanic figured out.
It's too much peripheral coincidental buildup.
linki, and here comes the Bob wagon. Good luck Bob.

Then how he told the Cerberii really nothing that mattered about Pikachu, thus keeping the civvies uninformed when the baddies had all the knowledge. Then saying "One of these people are bad, but really half of them aren't bad because I say so, so one of these people must be lynched.Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 1

So we appear to be sharing a lynch with the other tribe and they wanted to lynch Quin. I declare this a bad decision on their part.
It's too much peripheral coincidental buildup.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 15
Yes I was using Dom as an example of someone who was actually not engaged.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 5:11 pmYes as an example you compared how Dom was behaving to how Sloonei was behaving. You literally said Dom is low activity but he isn't constantly apologizing for low activity. But Dom is playing his normal game. Why would he apologize for that? Sloonei on the other hand, while more engaged than the average player, he is not playing to the same standard as he normally would.
As far as cbob, I am considering it based on his sudden interest in what appears to be an easy bandwagon to jump on because it's the big topic at the moment. I'm ISOing now.

Imma real quick real LoRab in Cerberus. Like I said, I still think she has a horse in this race, and I think I understand her thought process, although I did not see enough of her this game to get much of a read.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 15
I like this post. it kind of quantifies how I feel. It's like Sloonei came in and said, "OK, one of these people did it, but it wasn't me, it wasn't w and it wasn't X. So let's lynch Y and/or Z, cause it had to be one of them." The first time I read it, I was like WTF?Kylemii wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 4:30 pmokay but that implies that a mafia Sloonei would come in and talk about how much they don't care who gets lynched. I don't believe that's true. it wouldn't be good strategy.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 4:00 pmBecause of what scotty just said. If I'm bad, I'm happy to lynch either of yu. I'd probably even prefer Scotty given his level of activity compared to yours in this game (no offense). I've suspected you over him for several days now and been very clear about this.
and that's exactly what I'm talking about actually. as soon as sprityo died and it was brought up that sprityo's killer could be narrowed down to a small circle of players, you were the one to quickly stratify that grouping of players, placing yourself above the middle, ensuring that at the very least Wilgy, Scotty, and I would be lynched before you would be. you've meanwhile been bringing up the idea that maybe cross tribe kills are actually possible after all, setting things up for the eventuality where all that's left in the PoE is you and Epignosis, at which point you'd have bought 4-5 cycles in which to either expand PoE or figure something else out.
that's not to say that the only reason why you'd treat the PoE in the way you've done would be for those reasons but I think saying that being specific about your lynches RE the sprityo murder crime is an indication of you being civ is false. I think you'd push the same sort of investigation regardless of whether you were the one who did the murder
I feel better about Kyle than I do about Sloonei. I feel better about Scotty than I used to, but still not great. I still feel OK about Daisy and Epi, but would have liked to have heard more from them today. I am starting to question the whole strong civ reads on people without NKs. I do not feel actively bad about Bob or Dom, but standard "I always townread Dom" qualifier applies. I am conflicted re INH, but if he is bad I would be shocked if her were Strex. Quin, I trust him, but I don't really know why. He makes me feel like those old Birdhouse in Your Soul lyrics. I know they were supposed to be reassuring, but this refrain I always found unsettling~
I'm your only friend
I'm not your only friend
But I'm a little glowing friend
But really I'm not actually your friend
But I am
But really I'm not actually your friend, ugh.
I have read so much my eyes are about to start bleeding. Still not sure where I am going to vote, but it won't be Kyle.
P.S. I was previewing this and I realized I did not mention DDL for my second recap post in a row. I had some srs squidgy bad feels about DDL earlier in the game. I need to revisit him, becasue I can't recall anything he has said recently.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 15
Why do you think he suspects Daisy?
I personally do not (those 2 lives tho...) but earlier in the game you were pushing lynches against a specific group of people, but you took several off of the table, and cut off any discussion of them at the pass, with "person x is one of my strongest civ reads".
I would like to be able to trust that person too, and would like to understand why you feel this way.
This is you in Mountain Mafia, Operation Trust Fall.
Is this no longer something you find useful?
