Re: Day 2- BLUE vs. RED
ebwop, I did not mean that toimply Epi was a teammate, that bit about "in charge of". That was ironic. Although I would not rule it out that he would defend a teammate so hard. First it would be unexpected that he would not just heave the guy under the Greyhound. And one of the best Mafia wins I have ever seen, although I don't recall the game,it was a small game on the Piano) was when Rabbit and Tranq openly acted mega bad. They defended the other baddies, they blatantly did all the things baddies should not do. And noone thought they were bad becasue WIFOM WIFOM WIFOM.
But to be clear, I do not necessarily think that that is the case at this time.

I realise we shouldn't be arguing about Jack right now, but that needed to be said
Let's make a deal; if we lynch anyone other than Jack, and they are not bad, we lynch Jack next, no arguments, no questions. I have played whole games as an outed baddie and the longer you let it go on, the harder it is to get rid of the outed one. If we lynch someone who IS a baddie, I will shut up and tow the party line re lynching Jack.
Although, again, I would much rather lynch Jack.

Every time I come in here I get annoyed that we are not lynching the outed baddie, and I leave, lol. He is just a distraction, and won't help us find other baddies. He needs to go.

I was comfortable keeping him around, saying that I would rather lynch the mafia member with an ability.
However, I looked back and saw that none of us (the RED vs. BLUE mafia) had any ability at all, and there was a third party, and Trump had an ability.
Given that data, I think it is reasonable to assume the entire mafia is powerless beyond a kill.
I don't mind lynching Jackie O, but I would only do so as a last resort. Lynching exposed mafia only keeps his teammates out of discussion and pressure.
I get discussing everything else, but it's not like you're going to learn anything from those voting Jack today or the next day, so why not discuss who looks bad, and unless we find someone who feels bad, get rid of the known baddie?
And instead of discussing other options, we're now wasting our time discussing whether to waste our time voting the baddie or not...

So I am gonna vote for *JACKO'H* at this time.
I have mixed feelings. His initial post days ago felt to me like looking for a reason to suspect someone. Then when Jack O'H did something similar, posting an equivocating opinion, Quin ignored it. So I want to know what the difference is, to Quins mind, between Sawyers equivocating post and Jacks equivocating post. So my thoughts on Quin will be based in part on that.DrWilgy wrote:I do not think that there's a catch, I do think it's easy to halt discussion and go "meh Jack vote".FZ. wrote:RIP Eloh.

This whole Jack of hearts thing is weird, because I thought taking down meant he would die as well, not that he would be revealed. Yet, why do you think we should not vote him Wilgy? Do you think there's some kind of catch?
How do we generally feel about Quin?

I just figured you were kicking it old school and not doing a poll thread. That thread is great but it spoils people. I remember games where people spent hours in thread reconstructing polls. Don't want to do that again, lol.
@Epi, is that something Wilgy does, goof around with teammates in thread? I don't recall him really much interacting in thread with his team in last years GOC but otherwise I don't have much basis of comparison. Because unless he does that seems like a rather null action to me.
Also in your read back of Jack what were your thoughts on his posts regarding the discussion Quin and I had, and Jacks interpretation of it.
Same question for Quin, actually.
So do you think Wilgy is more likely, or less likely, based on your direct experience with him in a similar situation, to banter with teammates in thread?Marmot wrote:The dead marmot from that game is still churning in his grave.DrWilgy wrote:Oh yeah, that was fun.S~V~S wrote:It was him too? I'm a civ and I support Hillary Clinton.
Other than that, it usually takes me a few cycles to start putting things together. If Ron Swanson were in this game, I'd say he's guilty as shit for three days before realizing it was Donna right before I'm killed!
Anyway I'm gonna get back to watching TV and nursing this hangover. I'll check back in periodically.
What are the drawbacks in my argument?
You saying you found it suspicious that he was qualifying his opinion. It was essentially a rhetorical question. "Are you always so sure of your own opinions that you find someone who can see both sides of a suspicion questionable?".
