Really? Oh well, to each his own. I don't *love* Hurley like some do, but he was pretty cool
@INH. well, if we all liked all the same people/things, it would be a pretty boring world

Re: LOST
Don't like Sun, Don't like Jack, Don't like Kate.
Like Boone better than Shannon, like Claire better than Charlie. Until she had the squirrel baby. That was weak. Loved Sayid, hated how they made him forget the intense torture related love of his life for...Shannon in Purgatory? :duds:
I utterly loathed Michael, and nothing ever happened to change that for me. I thought Ana Lucia was more interesting than Libby as a person, and hated that they never really finished Libbys backstory up.

Re: LOST
I always thought Sun was a hypocrite, once you started seeing her back story. Jin became what he did for her. When she planned to run away, she should have taken him with her. They BOTH needed to escape her father. Jin did not become her Dads goon becasue he liked it, he did it for her. So she could have the life she had. In their culture he behaved traditionally, and if you look at Sun & Jin from that perspective, he becomes more sympathetic, and she less in my eyes.
She is my least favorite main character.
Who are you alls least favorite Losties?

Re: LOST
Yeah, agreed. It is nice to be able to talk about something that was such an important part of my life with people who not only think I'm not crazy for it, but who totally get it.
Befor LOST, I was always one of those people who just did not watch TV; PBS, news & HBO series like The Sopranos were about it. LOST sucked me in, though, and it still has not let go. I am glad I waited to rewatch, though. It is sucking me right back in again, and hopefully I can be less bitter about the last season this time around. We'll see.

Re: LOST
There is a thing, Chronologically LOST,where they play the scenes in actual time order. So the Mother/prehistoric island scenes are first, all the flashback stuff happens before the crash, etc. Plug it into a search engine, or see this:

Re: LOST
I was considering doing the chronological rewatch, but like Alex, I have not been able to bring myself to rewatch the last season. I have the DVDs still in the shrink wrap. So maybe a regular rewatch will be good for me.

Re: LOST
dinasaur hed on lost, a thread of awesomeness. A Lostpedia thing, with captions on screencaps. But the captions were things people in the forum said on sequential lost scene screencaps. SOme of them, most of them, really, were epic. When you hear of "Hedville", that was a forum made up of the DHC (Dinasaur Hed Cult) members. We were (and are, although quieter than we used to be) a forum based totally on an epic joke that would not die
There was a shout out to it, we think, in the series with Hurleys dinasaur award.

I have been known to watch things just because a LOST alum was starring. So yeah.fingersplints wrote:I feel like we have had this conversation before.Heiots wrote:Juliet Burke all the way.

Neverwhere you are in good company here. Golden isn't exagerating. There is a bunch of us who are all huge fans. I even went to a West End show that one of the actors from the later seasons was in so that I could try to meet him after the show.

Re: LOST
I think I am up for a rewatch. I thought the finale maybe scarred me for life, but maybe it only scarred me for 5 years, lol. I want to try a rewatch, though. If worse comes to worst, I can always stop after season 5 if I can't handle it. I would be game.

Re: LOST
I have not watched season six since it aired. I have the box set... still in the box. I was thinking of rewatching this year, to see if I still loathe the endling, lol. I probably will. But knowing how it ends may help me get more out of the season itself, without constantly waiting to see where they were going with all of those new characters. Every week i waited for Ilana to do some awesome thing like a sucker ha ha.MovingPictures07 wrote:Yeah, that's a concern to me as well. I loved the show so much with all of my heart while it was going on, but the value of revisiting the episodes is elusive to me because I already know what happened to everyone, and I don't want to waste my time either. I felt like what was really driving me was knowing what was going to happen, and now that I know what happened, I don't have any real motivation to go back and rewatch any of the episodes, even though I loved the show as it was happening (mostly).G-Man wrote:See I'm more worried about what the last two seasons will do to my perception of the first two seasons. I loved Season 1 and was a major Locke fan until the end of Season 3. Locke was built up for so long to be this important character but later on we learn that he was nothing more than a pawn in MIB's plot. That realization crushed me hard. I think I'm worried to re-watch those early episodes and feel like they're just a waste of time. That and I will probably want to analyze every episode and character in relation to the overall plot. If nothing else, Season 6 informed us that some characters weren't all that necessary.MovingPictures07 wrote:That said, I haven't re-watched LOST since it ended because I'm afraid to reconfront the ending, thinking I will hate it more this time rather than initially feeling good about it but gradually turning indifferent the more I thought about it in the weeks after finale.
I don't have that same problem with Breaking Bad or many other shows I love, really, so LOST has sort of fallen down my list gradually.

Re: LOST
Those main forum people could be brutal. I would see these nubs come in, with their cherished theories they had obviously spent hours on come in and post, and just be savagely eviscerated, lol.
"CN U READ?? This theory has been posted 48,152,342 times. LAME"
"Stupidest theory ever, THIS THIS and THIS link prove how dumb you are"
Etc. Holy shit. Those people needed valium or vodka or something.

Yeah, i do too actually. But I find the chronological rewatch intriguing. I presume it starts with the Mother era, and the 70's era Bellefleur episodes come before the crash, etc.

Re: LOST
I hated the ending, it could never ruin the show for me per se, but it kinda took the gloss off of it IMO. It felt like they decided all the loose ends were not important, but they were and i hate that they never explained some things.
(And if this erupts into a massive argument, i am never posting in the Main Forum AGAIN!!)
That said, i saw a synopsis of the link Goosey posted on You Tube a while back. I will probably check it out.

I THINK a group did that on Lostpedia, or maybe Hedville. If it was LP, Dom would know, ask Bea about HV. I do remember talk about it, but i don't know if it was actually done.Mongoose wrote:Would any of you Losties care to watch the whole series in literal chronological order?
