It depends.

Hogwarts was role madness, and it was real mafia.
A World Asunder was role madness, and mostly balanced IMO, but it ended up not being 'real mafia' in the same way an INH game might not be real mafia. Only at the end, though, where teams were exposed and hunting went out the window for a bit.

I love role madness games, personally, because I like not being vanilla.
How much of that was role madness and how much was just multiball?

3 VT vs 1 goon vs 1 sker vs 2 cultists stops being “real mafia” as outted scum are not lynched even though it’s fairly vanilla just because town has lost the ability to lynch.
