linki: We used to have a poll mod that also tracked what order the votes were placed. So if you changed your vote it would change where your vote was in the order. but with the upgrade to the new site we have not been able to find a mod with that. LC is usually a persistent pain in the butts of players, making sure discussion keeps driving and putting himself out there. I've NEVER (to my recollection) seen him go silent or fade into the background, and be content there. Add in that his 'big contribution' was an easy controversial statement at the start of D1, and yes, I'm suspish. Not super suspish, but in GTH, neutral isn't an option.

Nope. But a lot of the new arguments were devolving into that. Half of MP's votes seemed to be because he was trying to be self-preserving in an active, find-someone-else scummy way. Which isn't indicative of alignement.
Quin was pushed at for not making a lot of conclusions or statements, and for being concerned about appearances. Not the greatest, but hey, it's D1. I began getting different gut feels for Quin near dayend. Just felt wrong to lynch him.

For the record, I voted Dunya -> Quin -> Wilgy I think. I forget when.

It seems the towniest thing to do is not be here for the latter half of the day. Thanks GTH reads.

This will lose you games Speedchuck. I was there the game you lynched Rico and I stand by the premise that was purely luck. Rico will do odd patterns regardless of alignment. Puzzle solving through the obstacles is probably a better skill to implement.

It wasn't. It was an early lynch that needed to happen, because rico wasn't getting any easier to read. He was also using the mechanic to hide more than normal, hardly saying anything with his posts, and people were letting him by on "he's Rico." I could tell.

With you, this game, I actually get it. I get your readlists, and I see you saying something with your reactions. I read it, and I can converse with it.
And I hate it.

Insanifying is a mechanic that mafia uses for a reason. Screw self-imposed crap like that. I will be down to lynch it every time, early on, as bloody policy. Rico was a legit scumread. You were basically null. I was DTL (down-to-lynch) anyways.

I've previously read DDL as good for his demeanor and metaread. I think he's town. Posted my reads recently, you're low, quin low, kyle low, and now I'm feeling that LC isn't as active as I'd like.

But even so, I don't like CFDs in general.

If Quin and MP are both bad, MP wouldn't be trashing Quin like this. Distancing is fine, but MP was trying to substantiate a read on Quin. Substance doesn't go away.

I picture it like two allied planes that are falling from the sky and shooting the other so they won't be first to hit the ground. At least give the other guy a chance, right?

A day 1 washout gives us nothing as far as vote analysis goes regardless of whether the lynch goes to a good or bad. Ties or near ties gives us something to work with.

I have no idea what you do with vote analysis, but it clearly isn't what I do with vote analysis.

Which is good. It means we get a different perspective from you. But my method/every method I've seen doesn't really like ties much. Close shots, sure, but not ties.

Though I must admit that the only reason wilgy is near the bottom is that posting style he uses. I hate it, he can hide behind it, and last time someone hid behind a posting style, it was Rico and Rico was scum. I called him out and we lynched him.

I don't like that Quin has been voting no lynch this entire time, and then plans to vote a low-poster. It seems to be more about avoiding suspicion and commitment than trying to find scum.

I don't like that NewTraditionalist is the only one with two votes, for similar reasons.

I don't appreciate how the discussion turned too much toward theory, which is a way to generate content while not adding to the discussion. Dunya, especially, in post #384, made an entire extra argument while also pointing out the pointlessness of the discussion. This is either a way to continue derailing the thread while pretending to do the opposite, or a manifestation of 'last-word syndrome.' (I made up that term.) Given where the conversation ended up though, with Dunya's other actions in mind, I'd still lean town.

Whether a cop should claim or not depends on how much the game is predispositioned against the scum he's found, how many players/scum are left, how likely he is to die anyways if he doesn't claim, how likely he is to find another scum, etc.

Most of his posts are about game mechanics, he notes to MP that he was lacking baddie reads even though he'd provided none himself, voted sig for asking the cop to play recklessly proactively... just generally ping-y. Like it's mostly gut feel and maybe it's just how he is regularly but there's a definite general pingy-ness there for me.
