Re: [DAY 4] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murder

How could Zebra know that with the presence of two baddie teams in play here?

Re: [DAY 3] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murder

That is not the baddie team I expected her to flip. This means I am wrong about either DFaraday or Long Con being her teammate. My bet is Long con right now. His early vote on her looked like an attempt to distance the crap out of something that was probably a lost cause. The thing that makes me suspect him right now was his response to my question regarding what he thought of her. Looked like a soft defense if ever I saw one.

Additionally, according to the role they can recruit someone who they insanity once in the game? Have we seen anyone other than MM insanified? If not this would be bad news for MM, as I would think they would want to get that recruit in as soon as possible since she has been a suspect since Day 0. My question is, why would Enrique create a role that outs itself though? Seems a bit imbalanced.

I'll admit I have not read well over the last page or so, I'll try to read it either when I get done posting or tomorrow morning.

DFaraday is not off my suspect list, but it was mainly based on what looked to me like an attempt to make Nutella look like an Indy when it didn't make sense. But going on read alone of their responses, I suspect LC a lot more. That said, DF coming in and saying he "would have voted Nutella" does nothing for my read. I dunno, I'm open to thoughts from everyone. I still think at least one of these two is bad.

Also, I think I could really use a protection tonight, please and thanks!

Heading to a movie with MP. I have not seen anything to convince me Nutella is good so I am voting there again and urge other to consider it too.

Re: [NIGHT 2] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murd

Oh and also, DF your theory that Nutella was his Indy btsc partner makes zero sense. If he was Indy then the "slip up" was clearly intentional to draw the majority of votes and give himself away as an Indy because then no one should want to kill him or vote for him. Why would his partner wish to distance from him then? If no one needs her dead to win, why wouldn't she be totally cool with being quasi outed as an Indy? I think YOU are trying to make her look like a possible Indy to protect her. Unless the "slip up" was a joke, in which case the only reason she would distance from him is if they are some kind of threat to the civs and us Knowing she is the other would make us want to lynch her. Which only makes me want to lynch her more. In short, I really want to lynch Nutella. Can you tell?

Re: [NIGHT 2] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murd

I really appreciate the save there Claude. I didn't expect it. Of course I didn't expect that pile of votes on me either. :fist:

Honestly, I think this lynch was a result of the nonsense between sky guy and Boulders. It derailed real meaningful conversation and led to you all attempting to lynch a civ and ending up lynching a neutral. This day was a bust IMO. The only good thing I got out of it is that I think looking back over things that I trust eke. I would put him in there with SVS and zebra at the moment.

My baddie reads look like this, from most convinced of their baddieness to least:
Nutella - this is her baddie game, I don't care what anyone else thinks I feel confident in it.

Long Con - he has defended Nutella and attacked SVS who seems pretty clearly civ to me, I don't trust him. I will say this though, if Nutella were lynched and flipped civ I would reconsider.

DFaraday - as soon as he made the comment about Long Con voters I knew his vote was going to me. Like Nutella, I never see him play with this level of assurance. He is more frequently a late voter following a train.

I believe this was an attempt to get rid of someone who threatened one of their own. Why on earth does it make sense to vote for a Long Con voter from Day 1? We had no lynch result and we have no clear proof that a baddie even has the ability to survive, yet we have one civ and two Indy roles that clearly do. Which is the most likely scenario for Scotty not being lynched? So why would you be searching through the voters who tried to save him? Which is exactly what I was trying to do. I didn't believe his behavior read baddie in any way. I could not have been more clear about it, yet I am nearly lynched for my vote on Long Con? This lynch train was hella shady.

I think they killed him on the off chance he was the civ with a lynch stop. I optimistically think they were wrong.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murd

Ok first of all, why do people insist on voting for me for seeming civ? This is like the third time I've had someone do that to me in this past year. Weird to me.

Regarding the lynch result. either Scotty is one of those Indy roles or the lynch was stopped. If the lynch was stopped then the people who voted for Scotty are probably not the civ lynch stopper.

I doubt Scotty is that role either. I can't see the civ lynch stopper playing it the way Scotty did. In fact as I write this I think most likely that Scotty is the Indy role and wanted us to know it to make himself less appealing for NKs and future lynches...

I voted LC. I don't know if he is bad or good, but I don't think Scotty is bad and so I am voting to try and save him. I would much prefer to be lynching Nutella right now.

lol, have you been a pissy whiny bitch? I thought this is so funny.

On the fence on this potential slip. SVS is a very defensive person. She often compares her game... when bad. :ponder: Seriously though, on the fence.

This post is the definition of wishy washy. It would look like someone who is waiting to see if this is going to gain momentum and if you can safely join that wagon. This is the one I saw that made me see why he might find you suspect in this whole scenario. I can't speak to why your first post made him think whatever he thought, but this one that stood out to me.

That said, I don't see anything else that would convince me to vote for you. I don't know that this is a baddie tell really or a cautious civ, so no stress about me voting you anytime soon.

Re: [DAY 1] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murder

It was mentioned before. A couple people mentioned it right at the get go I believe.

Regarding Nutella, it is not her wish washy original response that tweaked my eyebrow, it was her moving into a firm stance that did it for me. She is almost never this firm in her suspicions, especially this early in the game. From my experience, wishy washy Nutella = civ, firm stance Nutella = baddie. That is what I find suspect with her.

Re: [DAY 1] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murder

Whether he is trying to get lynched or not I'm not interested in voting for Scotty personally. I try not to vote for someone who is trying to get lynched. I don't know that is the case here, but I do know that I don't suspect him so I'm not voting him.

Nutella, you coming out with as strong assertions as you have been making since Scotty called you out looks an awful lot like your baddie game to me. I mean it's pretty early in the game for me to see such a strong stance out of you if you are civ. :shrugs:

Hey LC, what's your read on Nutella?

Re: [DAY 1] Mafia of Montreal: A Variety of Whimsical Murder

Wow. I missed all the fun it seems. Here is my reaction to everything and everyone involved:

Scotty: This was not a slip, I don't think it was even intended to be taken as a slip. I've seen slips and this is nothing like those, I've seen and successfully carried out a fake slip and there was nothing believable in that "slip" so I fall squarely on side that read it as a joke. Which would also explain why he didn't say he was trying a gambit to see how people reacted IMO (zebra).

Zebra: I feel like your points you are making are super forced, but I suspect you are the one who is actually pulling a gambit here to see what shakes out. I think you would play with more finesse if you were an opportunistic baddie. Especially since I think some of the things you are demanding answers about have pretty obvious answers.

SVS: I am torn here. I felt like her initial reaction wasn't all that weird but stepping back a bit I can see why people think she is being overly defensive. Even so I can actually see it being just a knee jerk irritated reaction to being thrown in the middle of something she didn't ask for. The longer you've been playing the more jaded you can become. I don't see myself voting for her today unless something else happens to convince me otherwise.

Nutella: I can totally see why Scotty listed you as a person of interest. You put some weight behind the idea that Scotty legitimately slipped up, but not enough to seem too convinced until he called you out. Then you seemed to throttle it up. It looked like someone feeling the waters out, see if it might be a safe wagon to get on. But then Scotty calling you out forced your hand I think.

Black Rock: probably in the same boat as Nutella initially but I don't think I've seen the same response from her as Nutella to Scotty calling her out. I'll have to check back to make sure that is correct but I don't have the same vibe from her as Nutella at the moment.

If I had to vote right now it's probably be for Nutella, but I don't have to vote right now so I will happily wait and see what else the thread conversation might bring up. :fiesta:

Link MM: don't want to vote yourself to find out this time eh? Too costly for your baddie team to risk you getting lynched? ;)
