After Miranda, things changed. People were less willing to help a stranger out. Th way the Operative went after Haven and every other safe port for Serenity was nothing short of brutal. So in a moment like MYLO, it can't be that surprising that people were not willing to wait and see. Not willing to give someone respite from the storm. Instead the votes were cast and at the end of the day, Dragon D. Luffy was left without a safe place to lie his head. He was in fact left without a need for a bed at all, aside from the cold earth they laid him to rest in after they were done.

It's also not surprising to learn that when it was within the power of a man to help another, he was more inclined to protect his own hide. That's the universe we live in since Miranda. It's rare to find a man willing to risk his own neck for another. Especially a stranger he doesn't know. So it was that Epignosis found himself on the wrong end of a pistol.

Dragon D. Luffy was lynched by 4 to 3. He was Billy, a Scrapper. His stats were 2 Technical. He was a civilian.

Because of items in play we had to see what the night targets would be before we could call the game confidently over. The mafia killed Epignosis. Thus ending the game.

The mafia thought they controlled everything. They thought that they knew best. They thought they could make people...better by choosing people who didn't deserve to live. Like unnatural selection. But it's hard to tell what they were thinking when they chose juliets to die. She was the best of them. She was the sweetest and most true. She replaced Glorfindel who cannot tell a lie. Killing her didn't make anyone better. It only made people sick.

Nutella raged and shouted for them to listen to her, but they wouldn't believe her. She seemed to desperate. They used every kind of pain and torture they could to get her to confess, but it didn't work. She was made of stronger stuff than Lawrence Dobson. But even to the end she declared her innocence. That didn't stop them though, they put a bullet through her eye just like Mal did to Dobson. They were very sure she was just skilled in standing strong in the face of torture. They were wrong.

Whether a person is good or bad can depend on which side of the line you are standing on. Take the Alliance, they think the Browncoats are bad. People who are fighting against the better good of mankind. Selfish and untrustworthy. But the Browncoats think the Alliance is a bloated bureaucracy that hurts the people on the edges with their foolish rules more than helps them. Speedchuck thinks... well we can't really say what he thinks now because the mafia just killed him.

MacDougall has graciously agreed to help me cohost in light of my situation.

I would like to say you guys have been very patient and understanding of me. I expected my game would start a few days after the move, then the move kept getting put back. This has been a really tough move for me in a lot of ways beyond just the physical act of moving. I haven’t solo hosted for a long time, I was going to have a cohost, but that didn’t work out. As a result things (like the shop) have fallen through the cracks at times, and a couple phase ends have been pushed back. Unfortunately I need some time to decompress with my husband tonight. So this Day post will be delayed until tomorrow morning. I apologize, this isn’t ideal for you guys, but for the sake of my sanity.

You guys have made this game amazing, I apologize for this delay and hope it doesn’t ruin the experience for you.

1. Someone bought a med Kit, but I can't find who it was. Please PM me again to let me know it was you.

2. Glorfindel has requested a replacement and also requested to resign from his ship by PM. I should have done this yesterday but because the request was made by PM it slipped through the cracks in the midst of everything else. So Glorfindel will now be a free agent and I'm looking for a replacement for him.

3. I will absolutely add in more items before I go to bed tonight.

4. Golden assumes the Captain position on Bonnie Mae once again since he was Mac's first crew member.

5. Once we reach MYLO or LYLO, no one will be exempt from the lynch poll any longer.

The rivalry between crews is not to be underestimated. A rival crew will steal your job and pick the bones of your bird clean once you running outta gas. Desperation will drive someone to it. Jobs mean money, food on the table and gas to keep flying. Is it worth the cost of tearing each other apart? Juliets didn't think so. But then Juliets met with her demise on the receiving end of a pod grenade... The crews were so busy going at each other, no one noticed when the mafia spaced Mac into the Black. His body became just another piece of space trash.

Our ragtag crews find themselves again trying to determine the difference between a good man and an evil one. A question they find themselves circling back to every day. But this time, they decided that someone had been the center of conversation too often. It was time to find out if he was a great man, a good man, or a man who deserved to be strung up. Problem was, they wouldn't have the answer to that last one until after they had already strung Enrique up.

Enrique has been lynched. He was Stitch, a Hired Gun and Thief. His stats were 1 Attack. He was not a good man, as he was a member of mafia.

Night 5 has begun. I will unlock the threads and adjust the permissions I need to.

I am making a permanent change to The Shop. It will now be open at any time, and items will be added whenever the fuck I remember to do so. Feel free to bug me if it has been a full phase and I haven't remembered.

You would think after all these centuries, having used up Earth That Was, and terraformed new planets. Man wouldn't feel the need for God anymore. And for some, that's true. But for others, there is a certain comfort in the idea of a higher power. Something healing. As the good Shepherd Book said, you don't fix faith, it fixes you. Unfortunately for novaselinenever, Faith wasn't enough to fix him after the mafia was done with him.

After the true story of Miranda went out over all the cortex, Simon thought he and River would be safe. But he underestimated how many folks will prefer to live in denial in order to feel safe. And someone like River walking around, she makes it hard to live in denial. She speaks hidden truths and sees into folks. It makes people twitchy. It shouldn't be a big surprise that they strung up Marmot.

Marmot has been lynched, he was River Tam. His stats varied depending on die roll anywhere from 0 to 2 of any skill. He was a Fugitive and a Civilian.

A Captain's reputation is his biggest asset. If you can't get a job done, there is a line a mile long of other ship's ready to take the job instead. Mal had a reputation for unifying people, rallying them around him. He had a way of inspiring loyalty in folks. None more so than Zoe. She followed him in the war and she just kept right on following once the war ended. Niska also has a repution. He doesn't suffer failure. Now ColinIsCool has followed Mal to an early grave, thanks to Niska's reputation. Meanwhile lunalee has been killed by the Mafia.
