Sensitivity to aldehydes causes the soapy scent and flavor to overpower any pleasant herbal notes.
This is me. For years I was super picky about salsas because I found that some tasted like dish soap. Later someone mentioned this about cilantro and I realized that was why. Particularly fresh cilantro is difficult for me to eat because it’s so soapy tasting.
