Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 12]

this post was on December 15, he came back just to say, voting zebra I've always thought she was bad after having been completely AWOL since November 29 before that. Zebra's behavior read like she was protecting someone yo me, like she wanted us to believe she was alone. bass suddenly returning right at that point to throw a last minute vote on her just looks all kinds of shady to me.

Dom, and if I choose to go after Empire does that mean I'm Hutt? Not all hosts pass the kill to the remaining team. I have not clarified with the hosts here what would happen, but I'm playing the way most of us have always played from the LP/TP crowd and you of all people should know that. If that makes you suspicious so be it, but I think you are being ridiculous with that noise.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 12]

I think at this point I am feeling like most of the most active people seem very civ to me, which leads me to the lower posters/participators. The two most likely to me are Bass and Bubbles. Bass I'm leaning Hutt on and I'm looking at Bubbles for Empire. Bass became more active just as Zebra was being lynched, which makes me think he might be the last on that team. With Bubbles she seems to be weirdly still pushing DFaraday when most of us have dismissed him, even when she is not voting him. Makes me think she is getting desperate for viable lynch candidates as the numbers are dwindling.

Given that the Hutts kill next I'm placing my vote on Bass.

Really? Yikes. My suggestion of the -3 thing was a bolt from the blue. I wouldn't expect a civilian to base their entire self defense strategy around a random idea and then make out like I am entirely responsible for it...
Use logic Mac, use fucking logic.

Scenario 1: Elo has -3 votes, so the vote tally is Bullz 2, Daisy 2, Elo 1

If I put my vote on Elo it will at best tie me with her, then she is the remaining vote (outside of bass... Who I'm sure none of us expect to show up) and she has been pushing a lynch for me for a while, so she will likely vote me and it puts it at Bullz 2, Daisy 3, Elo 2. Unless I vote Bullz, then it puts it at Bullz 3, Daisy 3, Elo 1

Scenario 2: Elo does not have -3 votes, then it doesn't fucking matter which one I put my vote on because at worst she and Bass both vote me and I'm tied! But that makes no sense because if she has 4 votes then she would want to tie it up, as she clearly did.

I made the right self defense vote, I thought there was a chance I could be the stupid victim of someone else having a -3 vote item. You are a piece of work, seriously.

If you don't know which one might be true and there is some slim chance to believe the first might be true, then voting for Bullz is the best choice. Don't make me out to be some illogical manipulative baddie. I did vote in self defense, I was not working in cahoots with Elo to protect her.

I would absolutely bus MP, if it makes strategic sense to do so. Just because I would doesn't mean I did. If what I am being accused of was true, unless I am wrong, then the day he died,I could have saved him. If this were true, I would have to be willing to sacrifice the key role on the team in order to make me look good, which lets be honest, it's only a matter of time until you lynch me just based upon suspicion of Glorfindel alone. Sacrifice Vader when I could have saved him? This is silliness.

It sounds like I may have to hold my vote to possibly save myself here. Though I am half tempted just to self vote to prove you all wrong and may

I think that you guys thought Sorsha was the last Hutt like the rest of us and that you are bringing discussion from your BTSC into the thread.

In saying that here are my notes on Bubbles.

"Early game vote for Zebra but away from subsequent Zebra wagons. Zebra not lynched, teammate lynched instead! Concession distancing? Possible Hutt partner?"
Dom wrote:only because you think MP was distancing?
Yeah pretty much, aside from that I have her as a better look than the other two. But it's pretty damning stuff.

It's pretty bad though because I feel like we need to lynch an Emp today or they're going to have the numbers pretty soon unless the Hutt's nailed at least 1 of them.

I'm torn on who to vote for out of Elohcin and Spacedaisy mostly.

Would vote either.
If I was empire and I thought Sorsha was a Hutt I would not have killed her, I would have left that for a lynch, it would be pure stupidity for me to waste a NK on a Hutt when the bigger risk is clearly the civs/indies. And I don't have BTSC, I am discussing my own observation from the latest events. You are seriously all over the place Mac.

Now here are my issues with these two things:

This could potentially buy them another day, I doubt they would use their kill on her unless she really has their number and they think there is a real chance she will kill them. That's a pretty big assumption in my book. Too big to risk a civ loss on.

2. This idea depends upon two things. First, if we can trust her (a confirmed baddie) to do what she says and use it to take out empire. And second, that she actually has an accurate knowledge of who the Empire is. For all we know she could be suspecting the wrong people.

We also have to take her at her word when she says she is the last one on her team. This could be an attempt to stall her own impending death by another cycle and hopefully buy another teammate an extra day.

All of this stuff requires we trust someone who has outed herself as bad. As nice as the idea to use her for our own purposes sounds, I have no reason to trust her enough to risk doing it. it comes down to vote a confirmed baddie or an unknown. I have to vote the confirmed baddie.

If I knew it, sure. But my point was to show that you were presenting the idea of keeping her around as the really only civilian way to look at it, but you were ignoring some pretty big possibilities. If I were Empire, why would I spell out an Empire friendly plan. I could just as easily roll with a bullz vote. But I don't like the risk you were asking us to take. It's interesting that you want to paint me as bad for pointing out the holes in your plan.

There's the other issue... that Matt brought up too. Which has played a part in my thinking...

What if she's intentionally getting herself lynched?
If that were the case she wouldn't have wasted a get out of the lynch free card on the last cycle I wouldn't think. I could be wrong but it's a risk I'm willing to take. More than lynching an unknown just out of fear of that possibility anyway.

It's been stressful, to say the least. I'm glad to have survived. DF you have said I was clearly bad, is this based on me or on Glorfindel, or both?

Also, Zebra you are very transparent right now. You do and say contradictory things in thread and practically spell out that you were cursed, Mac does the same and you say he is clearly bad. Your attempt to paint him as bad is too obvious. I would easily trust him over you.

Mac, I appreciated your post regarding your thoughts about the way the last lynch went, so don't be discouraged thinking no one took note of it, I did.

Plus I've intentionally pushed for his lynch a couple times as a civ, when I was sure he was not bad because I knew RL reasons needed him out of the game. But you're wrong. On a funny side note, the best was when his best friend and I immediately called him as bad. I've never seen him get lynched so fast as that instance. He was bad too, we were right.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 7]

Oh boy, sorry guys. I lost some steam at the thought of reading zebra and MP. I can't give an opinion on anything much from what went on before, but I have some opinions right now from the catch up I just did.

1. MP backing off me when he was previously suspicious of Glorf is absolutely 100% shady. I can understand it at first, and it usually takes a bit of time before I can decide how I feel about him, a cycle or two. He feels like he's buddying up to me. He likes it if he thinks he can get me on his side, thinks an endorsement from me carries more credibility. I don't like that feeling right now. It's not as strong as it has been other games, but it's there.

2. The Rox flip and sig's point about her statement is too strong to ignore. The people she suspected should be up on the chopping block IMO. MP is no exception. Wasn't zebra in there too? I thought she was just trying to get out, but what sig said now that we know her role makes so much more sense.

3. I wouldn't read much into what someone said was a connection between MP and Glorf. I know for a fact they didn't have BTSC, because I don't. What was pointed out as him prompting Glorf is silly, he would have prompted BTSC, not in thread. That was MP wearing his admin hat and trying to help a new member acclimate.

Anyway my read of MP = bad.

I also liked Canuck's case on Zebra. It's one of the better constructed arguments I've seen. There was also something I saw today where Zebra went from saying that she thought MP was bad but had no clue what team, to exactly five minutes and two posts (of no more than one or two sentences probing for other's opinions) later saying she thought he was empire. I vaguely recall reading earlier someone who said that zebra made a statement that seemed to imply she KNEW someone wasn't a Hutt. This looks to me like a second instance of this perhaps? Additionally her response to Canuck bringing a case against her was odd, it read to me like someone who was trying not to make any sudden moves, maybe sway Canuck by seeming calm and friendly. I don't know Zebra well though this might just be her personality. But that kind of behavior always reads baddie to me.

If I am currently choosing between these two, and I think they should likely be the best two candidates all things considered, I'd probably vote MP. i just know him better so I feel more confident in my read of him.

Sorry for being such a mediocre replacement. :(

Going to be leaving for a Christmas party shortly, but I did a read through of bass because you know it takes like a minute tops, lol. My thoughts are his pre lynched incarnation did not look bad like at all, so I'm very surprised he got lynched. He always is a low poster, but I didn't see anything else in his posts to make me suspect him so his civ flip is not at all surprising.

I still don't trust zebra. As for Roxy I think it possible the RL is getting in the way of her playing like she normally does. I think if she was bad she would asked to be subbed out so it wouldn't effect her team.
Bass knows Roxy better than any of us, this statement makes me feel all the more that we will probably not get a baddie if we lynch her today. I think she made that statement about herself to try to ensure her lynch because she wants out.

As far as Bass since his replacement back into the game, there is literally nothing to judge. I have no idea what alignment he might have replaced into and would not be interested in voting him right now for that reason.

I have not heard anything back regarding my question about the vote, so I assume the glory index vote remains where it is and I will cast my first vote beginning in the next lynch. I have a couple more food preps to make and then leaving for the party, so I'll tackle the two bigger ISO subjects when I get home. Or maybe one today and one tomorrow, I don't know. I also want to read Glorfindel's posts because I have no clue what he even said, lol.

P.S. Glorfindel, I hope you don't give up on the site because I would like to get a chance to actually play with you. :daisy:

Linki: whoa, rainbow lists incoming... Lol.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 6]

Lol, MP has a REALLY hard time not talking to me about games he is in which is precisely why we don't play many together. He does talk to me about games he is playing that I am not, but he always prefaces it by asking if there is any chance I might replace in. In this case I knew that this game had some inactivity problems because he tried to get me to replace in earlier, as he always does when games need replacements. I think it's the site admin in him. so in this case, no I didn't let him talk to me about it, because I wasn't able to replace in before getting past Black Friday. I work in retail management, it's just hellish.

Exactly why I shared it. It would be unfair for me to know it when no one else in the game does.

I'm going to be frank here and some of you may not like or agree with me, but here goes. In games here the people who usually die either by mafia NK or get lynched are not low posters, they are usually the high posters. I say this as someone who tends to be a medium to low poster myself. This martyr attitude from low posters because you get called out needs to stop. High posters spend all day defending the crap they say, you ask them to explain themselves.theyare only asking the same of you. You don't have to post 400+ post, but don't think that because you are a low poster you should not have to use your few posts you make to occasionally defend yourself or make a case, because that is the way the game is played and everyone has to do it. I have yet to see a game where people actually got lynched solely upon their lack of posts. We all have different amounts of time to invest in a game, and I admit to skimming the stuff between Mac and golden because it was way too much and coupled with the fact I don't know how it started it reads as two people tunneling each other. Do what you have to, contribute the way you can, but stop making this a high poster vs low poster issue when it isn't. Low posters get called out frequently in games, but they rarely get lynched over just the fact they are low posters.

P.S. I'm taking my husband to the store, he needs a breather from the intensity anyway and we need groceries.

Oh also, Dom, I'm glad someone enjoyed my AD reference, lol. :lorab:

Just splitballing. I recall earlier people thinking MP and Enrique had some sort of connection, which would also work in favor of this theory.

Back to reading.
I'm going to bed, but before I do I would like to say I can attest to the fact he was very very very drunk that night. They were not at all made up. I have not yet read his posts (God help me...) so I'll give my opinion on him once I do, but that was not faked.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 6]

I'm still back on page 62 @40 PPP. I was reading through Roxy tonight. My opinion on Roxy is that her posts are very emotionally charged and seem riddled with hypocritical expectations/accusations. However, I don't think she is bad. But I'm not sure I trust her reads either at the moment simply for the level of emotional intensity going on in her game. I know firsthand that being that intensely focused on people because of an emotional response to them (be it offense or severe frustration or great dislike for their tactics or language) can cloud a person's judgement, making it difficult to see it from any other view. But this doesn't make her bad. In fact, I would be surprised if she flips bad. Just my two cents on that.

I apologize for the slow start for me here, but I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to try to focus on mafia properly tomorrow. Hopefully I can get those reads done.

Question Epi/DH: am I locked into this vote that my predecessor cast? I'm not sure that is where I would want my vote to go if I have the choice... If I am, I totally understand though.

Well this day just got more interesting. Welcome daisy, sorry I've already voted for you before giving you a chance but the previous inhabitant of your role was pretty damning, I hope you agree, at least to an extent. If it helps I like your content a lot so far. :shrug2:

I want you back too, you should ask DH or Epi to replace one of the lower posters! Bubbles perhaps?
Sorsha wrote:Golden vs Mac, kiwi vs Aussie, east coast vs west coast, bloods vs crips, etc etc

I think Macs theory is fine, I checked the last couple of games Golden has played (recruitment and world reborn) and Golden Didnt make any memes in those. Mac might be bad too but I like the meme observation he found for golden.
It was originally Matt's observation tho, at least the part about Salacious amusing Jabba.
Honestly, I have not even read through my predecessor's posts yet so I'm not sure what he did that was damning. I plan on reading his posts in ISO as well. I have not talked to him as I took over so... Don't know what was up, only know the role. Which I forgot to answer Mac earlier. No. I am not bad. But hey, if you all lynch me I guess I won't have to get caught up, lol. ;) So whatevs Zebra, I'm not going to stress starting with a vote.

Can I still "PULL" ?

If so, PULL

P.S. you will always be Mr F to me. And yes I do hear it Arrested Development style in my head... "For British Eyes Only" :haha:

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 6]

What does PULL mean?

Also sig, my first read from your list was Sorsha. I'm not going to quote posts, I'm just going to give my impression and also note things that jumped out at me.

First impression, she isn't contributing all that much. Second impression, omg she is in three games at once it seems, judging by her user post page so I guess it is not surprising she is not contributing much. "She crazy" :p

Now the only thing of note from my read of her posts is the fact she clearly believed Matt had info on the Death Star option on some poll or other but once she learned it was a civ option she still found him pong worthy enough to vote for him. That seems odd.

Oh wait, there was one more thing. She seemed to soft defend Enrique, but then voted him. It seems she was the second to last vote on him, he was already dead so that is not an altogether convincing vote.

Judging just by those two things, I can see why she is on your list of people you want opinions about.

Ok. First ISO down. Now I want some sleep and I am not feeling extremely well. So apologies for not doing more, I intended to do a few tonight, but that's not going to happen.

Btw two things, first thanks sig for giving me a focus coming into the game. It's always hard to replace in when a bunch of crap has already happened so it's hard to find your footing, that helped give me a jumping off place coming into it.

Secondly, I use a crappy iPad to play, and for some reasons, big photos just run off the side of the page for me. What this means for this game is I can't view the polls DH posts in screen cap form. Luckily it seems the Enrigue vote was posted by Epi, so that was good. I may need some help when it comes to evaluating voting records.

Ok, sleep now.

Yay! I love playing with new people! New to me anyway. :fiesta:

So I just got home a little while ago and I still haven't done dinner yet. I'll try to get myself situated game we've once I get done with that.
