Ok winners. I apologize for doing this to you, but we decided to go ith a slightly thinner version of mafia banners for this site. So here is the adjusted banner!

Also, to answer the question of how Chaindeath survived two lynches. The first song chosen was With A Little Help From My Friends. the result of that song was that no one with BTSC could be lynched. Every failedlynch was treated exactly as it would have been were it Henry being lynched, in order to keep it from being too obvious. I did not expect that song would be chosen so early in the game. I figured it would benefit either the baddies or the band, but the band had not had a chance to find each other at that point so it meant that for the first day you were guaranteed to lynch a civ.

Oh! That reminds me, for that poll, all of the circus acts reflected each player's name. My typos were intentional. The only one that did not fit that was Kate, who was the bearded lady because as a player she is female but her role was male. It was completely unintentional that the clown car was a silly person, it never crossed my mind. It was actually "theclowncar" three words run into one just as "insertnamehere" is also.

The End

The audience circled around Chaindeath. He looked around at them in a bit of a panic, "Guys listen, you are making a mistake!"

"Well either you or Conor are a Teacher, and it sure looks like Conor is Henry right now..." blindfaeth explained.

LT nodded, "Besides, if you were Henry, it won't matter if we lynch you, right?"

Chaindeath shrugged, trying to feign indifference, "it won't matter to me, but I really don't want another of my fellow civs to die."

"I'm willing to bet that you are going to be the one to die," Vloddamick chimed in.

"seriously, this is a mistake!" Chaindeath could no longer mask the fear in his voice as the circle tightened around him. He dropped to the ground hoping to slip away again, but thisa time they were ready for that move, DharmaHelper knelt on his chest, pressing down with all of his weight as Chaindeath struggled until finally he could no longer even gasp for any air and he lay still. They all exchanged glances, was it finally over?

DharmaHelper went through his pockets and found detention slips in chaindeath's pockets.

Chaindeath has been lynched, he was a Teacher! The civilians have won!

Look What You're Doing

Conor sat serenely on the edge of the stage, seemingly unconcerned about the mounting lynch mob. He had escaped them twice after all, what made them so sure this time would be different? They all stood well away from him this time, while Kate took careful aim from across the room. She was an expert knife thrower and so there was quite a bit of confidence among the group that this was the end of Conor. She let the knife fly from her hand with ease and they all watched it spin beautifully across the room towns Conor. This was surely foolproof!

But alas, Conor'sskill surprised them for a third time. He caught the knife in his teeth and spun into a series of quick and lovely pirouettes, and as he came to a graceful stop he released the knife. In horror they watched as it flew right back and impaled Kate in the neck. She bled out quickly.

Kate has been lynched. It is now Day... Again (I have to look up the number I think I messed them up in the header...) You have 24 hours to lynch someone. Good luck!

It was a rough night at work, culminating in me hurting my back and my ith second shifter having to rush out because her stand was taken to the hospital. I will write the post now....

Crying, Waiting, Hoping

I don't know what is wrong with me, I completely forgot to post before leaving and left you all waiting for it! So in lieu of a full story post, I will summarize it here now... No one has died!

The result of choosing Day In the Life is that we will now have two consecutive day periods!

I should explain a tweak I made early in the game, any switched lynch was randomly selected from among the voters. My apologies for not explaining this change earlier, I meant to but forgot. This is the case in all the switched lynches regardless of the cause.

It was an open and shut lynch it seemed. Everyone filed in and each politely handed Conor a Valentine's Day card. They had such messages as:

"Will you be my dead Valentine?"

"I feel passionately for you to be lynched."

"our love is a burning fire... Because you are going to BIH!"

You get the idea. They thought maybe couching their desire to kill him in Valentine's messages might soften the blow. Once he had opened them all up he looked at them in confusion, "what is this all about?"

"Haven't you got it by now? We know you are a Baddie McBadderson, so we are lynching you," blindfaeth explained.

"No," Conor responded.

"No?" blindfaeth looked at the others for support, "You don't get a choice in this, it's decided."

"No," Conor repeated.

Everyone was confused, but they advanced on him, rope in hand to lynch him but at the last moment he grabbed the rope, slid it around Devin's neck to counterweight it and then slithered up it with grace and ease. It all happened so fast that they were still staring in shock up at Conor before they realized Devin had been strangled to death.

Chaindeath shrugged and went through his pockets where he found a note from INH.

Devin has been lynched, he was a Silly Person. The Silly People have been eliminated.

After the chaos of the circus, tonit felt eerily quiet. The Silly Person was watching blindfaeth, but it was too quiet, any action would have drawn attention. So blindfaeth lived to another day.

In the midst of this very quiet night, in walked Devin. "Hi guys!" he said as he entered.

They all just stared at him in disbelief.

No one has died, Devin has been rezzed!

Guys apologize for the delay. I am working to try and get my W2 from the previous company I worked for before moving and they are irritating me. Anyway, I am starting to wite the night post now.

Bring Out The Clowns

Amidst the chaos of acrobats swinging from the rafters, a man putting his head in a lion's mouth, a motorbike jumping through a flaming ring, and Mr. Kite coordinating it all, the audience members came to a decision. Chaindeath yelled, "Bring out the clowns!"

An impossibly tiny car raced into the room and came to a screeching halt, the door opened and out tumbled clown after clown, honking laughing and gesturing wildly as they fell all over each other. Last out of the car was insertnamehere. The other concert goers leaped on him, blindfaeth pulled various handkerchiefs of all colors strung together out of his sleeve and wrapped it around his neck while Vloddamick grabbed the other end and they pulled it tight, cutting off INH's air supply. His face turned purple, then blue, and finally he quit struggling. DharmaHelper checked his pockets and found the razor sharp credit cards.

INH has been lynched, he was a Silly Person.

It is now Night 6. You have 24 hours to send in your night actions and choose the next track.

For No One

Kate had been singing along with every song, enjoying the show to the fullest despite all the murdering and what not. She figured it was the only thing she could do, if she worried too much over the deaths she would be a basket case. And a little murder didn't change the fact that she was here, watching this amazing show!

One of the Teachers spied her from across the room and decided she was having too much fun, so they crossed the room with full intent to put a stop to that when suddenly an MC was making an announcement.

"Ladies and gentleman, step right this way for the greatest show on earth, Mr. Kite's Marvelous Circus, guaranteed a splendid time for all!"

Suddenly the room was flooded by various circus acts. The Teacher watched Kate sullenly. There were too many people here now to safely kill her, so he would have to leave her alone for now.

No one died tonight! It is now Day 6 and you have 24 hours to lynch someone.

Unfortunately for you, choosing Mr. Kite last night turned this lynch into a circus... Have fun sorting it out.

Nothing From Nothing

"Why would someone pay for a ticket to a concert like this only to be curiously absent nearly the whole time?" Vompatti asked.

INH nodded his agreement, "True, and these were not cheap tickets! You would think he would at least watch some of the show..."

Perhaps it was because they were so afraid of the killers or perhaps it was just the fact they were all just waiting to be the next person to turn up dead, but very little conversation was occurring. And strangely enough this lynch was easy. Maybe too easy. The notorious "he" they were referring to was Conor Fynes. And his number was now up it seemed. They searched the building and finally found him lounging in the employees break room.

"Hey guys, what's up?" he asked calmly.

"We all agree that you must be bad."

"So wht does that mean?"

They all exchanged glances, it was kind of hard explaining to a new guy how they intended to kill him. Chaindeath held the knife they had taken from raiding the bar. Kate took hold of one arm and Vompatti took hold of the other and they pulled him to his feet and held hjm in front of Chaindeath who said, "Chaindeath is sorry to have to do this cause he does not care for killing anyone, but regrettably he finds it necessary for the good of the civilians."

Just as Chaindeath lunged forward to plunge the knife into Conor's stomach, Conor twisted and pulled his arm, thereby maneuvering Vompatti in front of him with startling speed and ease. They all stared in shock as Vompatti fell to the ground with a glassy-eyed, vacant stare into nothingness.

Vompatti has been lynched... Again. And he is still Billy Shears.

It is now Night 5, you have 24 hours to choose the next song.

The result of choosing Fixing a Hole is that no Baddies votes counted in the last lynch.

Tomorrow Never Knows

The silly people were being, well... Silly. They had been to Mr. Kite's Circus recently and were reenacting their favorite acts.

One of them grabbed an nearby curtain and began to swing on it , allthe while describing Mr. Kite's acrobatic feats. The the second began to tell about how The Hendersons did some awesome stuff, while cartwheeling around the small venue floor. SVS noticed them from across the room and went over to see wht the heck they were doing because they looked pretty ridiculous.

"What are you two doing?"

"Ohwe were just talking about Mr. Kite's show, have you seen it?"

SVS shook her head, "No, but I would like to someday."

"You definitely should, Barnum and Bailey's have got nothing on Mr. Kite!"

"They have this lion tamer who sticks his entire head in the lion's mouth! It is insane!"

The second silly person interjected, "And the clowns are pretty talented even, there is this one that juggles chainsaws! I wish I had some chainsaws here so I coud show you."

SVS just looked at the silly person with concern at the idea they would try juggling chainsaws. Their teammate suggested, "Here, you can demonstrate with these napkin dispensers. They aren't chainsaws, but she can pretend they are."

The second silly person took some of the napkin dispensers off the table and started juggling them, rather well to SVS' surprise. Until the end, when they got bored and decided to wing them all with great force at SVS' head. The impact of four napkin dispensers cracked her skull and killed her pretty quickly. As they stood over the body, Silly Person 1 said, "I hope I get to see the circus again sometime."

To which SIlly Person 2 replied, "Tomorrow never knows."

Meanwhile, back in the walk in freezer where they were storing the oldies until the authorities could take care of them, Vomps took a sudden deep breath! Silly lynch mob forgot to check his pulse! Turns out, he was still alive after all. He opened the freezer and went back out to enjoy the show.

Misery

Vompatti was not acting as social as the rest of the group, he kept to himself in the corner, looking rather somber. Whenever he did say or do anything it always struck the rest of the group as odd. They stood in a large circle watching him from across the room and discussing how they should deal with him. After a lot of creative ideas were tossed around, the group decided to just go old school and hang him. I mean, the rafters were quite high and perfect for the job.

The strange thing is that Vomps did not really fight them. Up to the last second he ony spoke very few words of defense. So they assumed they had found the Baddie they were looking for. As Vomps lifeless body hung there, feet still swinging, Vloddamick checked his pockets and showed what he found to the rest of the audience. A promo flyer for the concert they were all attending...

Vompatti has been lynched, he was Billy Shears!

Say The Word

DFaraday was watching the show, waiting for that wonderful moment when they sang When I'm Sixty Four, when someone brushed past him and dropped something. DF glanced down and saw a note folded up with his name on the outside. His curiosity got the better of him and so he picked it up and opened it. it read:

"Dear DFaraday,
We were so awesome in your game, we should have won by sheer awesomeness!
Love,
the Seductresses"

DF was surprised. Where did this come from? Who could have known about this? He began to look around in concern and as he turned he found himself face to face with a teacher.

The teacher glared at him, and DFaraday slipped his hand holding the note behind his back. "Uhh, hi."

The teacher continued to glare and asked, "Care to tell me what you've got there?"

DF feigned ignorance, "I don't know what you mean."

"I already know what it is so you might as well say the word."

DF sheepishly brought the note out from behind his back, "it's a note from someone."

"Just as I thought! Passing notes," the teacher quickly whisked a pen from their pocket and stabbed it into DF's heart, "I really don't like when people pass notes!"

DFaraday has been killed by the Teachers!

She Isn't Having Fun Now

Roxy was having the time of her life! Things had been so dull before, so very, very, dull. But she had taken charge, and how here she was, watching the band! She never could have imagined this was where she would be. Not even the death of fellow concerns attendees could bring down her mood at this point. Little did she know, it was the living ones who were about to do just that.

"Look Roxy, you have been saying some weird stuff. It doesn't add up," DFaraday tried to be gentle with her.

Vloddamick cut right to the chase,"You must be behind these deaths. We voted on it and well, you drw the short straw."

She looked from person to person, trying to sort out why they would think such awful things about her, "I just didn't know, I mean I was having a hard time paying attention because I was watching the show!" she motioned to the stage, "These guys are my favorite, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, can you blame me for being distracted?"

Kate shrugged, "Maybe not, but we can blame you for killing Daisy, Devin and/Aces."

LittleTiger and Chaindeath tied her up and took her out into the back alley to finish the job off as mercifully as possible. As they drug her out the rest of the group could hear her pleading, "Just let me finish the show, please... It was not me, I swear!" George couldn't take the sound of her pleading and turned sadly away, wishing things were different.

Chaindeath and LT returned looking upset, LT held something out to show the rest of the group. It was a letter addressed to her mother, explaining why she left home.

Roxy has been lynched, she was The Runaway and she was still civ aligned!

My apologies, I missed this question earlier. The answer is the lynch was a tie, I flipped a coin and it landed on Chaindeath, you saw the results from there.

Additionally, the choice of the Reprise will be revealed to the person or people it affects at the time when it comes into play.

All I've Got To Do

One of the silly people was bored. All this death going on was old news, this place needed some fun! They wandered over to chat with AceofSpaces by the bar and nodded a greeting to him before ordering a drink while they waited for the next song to start. The bartender quickly made the drink, slid it across the bar and told the Silly Person how much it would be. They pulled out a wallet and retrieved a credit card, paid and as they went to slide the card back in the wallet suddenly everything went everywhere. "whoa, think it might be time for a new wallet there!" Aces observed.

"Crap, this is the third wallet I have done that to."

Aces looked surprised, "Third wallet? what are you doing to them?"

"Oh! Have you heard of The Edge of Glory knife sharpener? The one on the late night commercials?"

Aces gave a half shrug, wondering where this was going.

"Well they showed how you can sharpen your credit cards into precision cutting instruments! So I bought one and sharpened all my credit cards."

"You sharpened... Your credit cards...? Why?"

"Well, you know if I am ever mugged, all I've got to do is act like I am getting out my wallet for the mugger like this and then," in one fluid motion the Silly Person demonstrated how his credit card could now be used to slash someone's jugular with A credit card. Not that Aces cared much since, you know, his jugular was now slashed.

Night is over, AceofSpaces has been killed by the Silly People!

I apologize for the delay, I put some rice on to cook for lunch and fell asleep while I was waiting. So I woke up and had to cook some lunch (before MP starved) and so I was late getting back online here. I am very sorry an will do it now.

I don't know how to do so with my iPadto be quite honest. They are taken down so quickly because I have another poll going up immediately. The longer I wait, the longer the the phase gets and eventually we will be running into my time to be at work and will have to move the end time substantially. In fact we are nearing that point now. I don't know what the solution for this problem might be. But I'm open to suggestions.

I know. I originally had her as civ with a different ability but I was having trouble keeping it balanced so I had to make the switch.

You Can't Do That

The band concluded the title track, and while it had provided a pleasant distraction for a few minutes, as soon as the song ended the audience had nothing to think about again except who the killer in their midst might be.

Blindfaeth spoke up, "Chaindeath survived that beating somehow, that can't be coincidence."

SVS replied, "He could be a Baddie, but he could also be Henry. We just don't know."

"I'm willing to take the chance that he is Henry because I don't think he is," bwt stated shortly.

The debate continued for some time, until finally it was decided. They would be more careful this time, they wouldn't risk another FH Incident. So they stood him against a wall and someone produced a gun. DharmaHelper took careful aim, but at the last second Chaindeath leapt out of the way and went into a series of spins and moves to make himself an even harder target. He did it with such speed and agility that DH was startled and jerked his hand up as he fired the gun. The bullet glanced off a lighting fixture with a loud ping and lodged itself in birdwithteeth's brain!

The audience was stunned! Chaindeath stepped up to check bwt's pockets and pulled out a parking ticket book.

I am looking to replace The Great Bambi, as he has asked to be replaced. Conor is completely new to mafia and is getting some help understanding the mechanics of the game from Alex here starting out. As we all know mafia can be quite confusing when we first start playing.

Also, the players who have been affected by the song choice have been notified.

We will keep it in the afternoon then.

Octopus's Garden

The crowd milled about uncomfortably, no one caring to admit they made a massive mistake with the whole Flyin' High incident. Her body had been removed and no one was sure what to do at the moment. One of the Teachers was feeling the pressure too. This was not going according to plan at all. By now the thing should be done and they should all be out of here, with no one the wiser. The Teacher leans against a wall, observing the other audience members. His eyes come to rest on Devin the Omniscient. They narrow a bit and he walks over to chat with him.

"What is up with the shirt Dovin?" the Teacher asks.

Devin looks confused for a moment and glances down at his shirt which has a picture of a dolphin wearing a monocle and mustache, "Oh! It's just an inside joke from some friends. My name is DEVIN, by the way."

"Yeah, whatever Dovin, it's a really lame shirt. Why would you wear that to a concert?"

Devin looks surprised, "It's DEVIN, and what I wear to the concert is my business, what is your problem man?"

You're a real weirdo, you know that?" as he turns to leave he is confronted by the second teacher, wielding a massive marine biology book which he slams into Devin's face, breaking his nose and lodging the shards in his brain. No one else in the club noticed because they are too self involved to be paying attention. Poor Dovin, I mean, Devin.

Rita stood with her clipboard, watching Kate's parking meter. It was a minute to go before her time expired, but suddenly Rita could not find her parking ticket book. She thought she had it... She hurried back to her vehicle to retrieve it, but once she returned she found someone had put another coin in. Looks like this car is not getting impounded.

I am heading for work and get off at 11 PM EST. I currently have the phase end times set for before I leave for work rather than when I get off because that is rather late. But if the majority of the players feel that eleven thirty or so is a better time for them, I would be willing to change it. So please post your preference bolded in the thread for me. 1 PM or 11 PM?

Also, please don't make me wake up tomorrow to a tied poll... It might make me cranky.

Down In Front

A stage hand had found Spacedaisy's body, the concert was on hold as Billy Shears took the stage to explain the situation. After he made the announcement, those in attendance were shocked, but no one really thought they might be in danger. It clearly looked like someone was after the band and Daisy simply got in their way. Why else would the murder have happened backstage? Fear was not the main emotion, no that was anger. Who would threaten to kill their beloved band? As the mess backstage was cleaned up, the attendees began to discuss and debate that possibility. They were paying attention to the band after all, anyone could have slipped away during that time.

"Chaindeath needs to go to the bathroom, he might be a while," Chaindeath explained to his fellow audience members before heading out. In truth, the conversation was wearing a little thin for him and he just needed a break from all the accusations that we're beginning to fly around.

As he entered the bathroom he was suddenly struck by the thought that maybe the killer was hiding in here... He did his business quickly, washed his hands and returned to the group.

Flyin' High eyed him warily, "That was quick..."

SVS nodded, "Much quicker than you implied it would be, what were you really up to?"

"Maybe hiding the murder weapon?" Kate asked.

bwt felt a sudden overwhelming amount of anger, and it was directed at Chaindeath, "He wants to kill the band!! Get Him!!!"

The crowd mobbed Chaindeath, but unknown to them he dropped to the floor and slithered out through their feet. Yet they continued beating and pummeling until their fists were bloody and the screaming stopped. But whose blood was it?

The crowd drew back and in shock and dismay discovered they had accidentally beat Flyin' High to death rather than Chain death. Checking her pockets they found a pay stub from Mr. Kite's circus.

Flyin' High has been lynched, she was Mr. Henderson!
