Re: [DAY 14] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I love bea dearly and she has played great game, but I am leaning towards giving the win to boom because he is a newer player than her, and I think the win would mean more for him than for her. And I'm a little biased toward Cohen since I was a Houdini Spliced in that game.

I am voting for Boom to win. But I still love me some Bea.

Lizzy wrote:You guys, I'm not sure I'm buying this whole SD thing because that's just bad baddie strategy :\ She could be BB, but I somehow don't see her accepting a NK offer from a random butler (unlike myself :p )

Also, should we have some sort of package strategy? I played the Avant game on PA and naturally, I opened mine (although I think that one was a poll option) and kinda died.
I would recommend you go back and read my posts after the secrets were revealed. There was a very good reason I was suspicious of Epi because of his connecting the dots of the Moriarty kill and the BB kill so quickly. I was suspicious of him before the secrets were revealed because of the phrasing of a PM I received.

To be frank, I have little to add to this conversation. I am civ, but I am fairly lost as to why certain people are so sure about certain other people. I'm not going to campaign for my innocence. Whatever happens happens. I am not stressed about it, everything will become clear one way or another I figure. As far as my vote, I am kind of holding it until I see some consensus here, but I don't want to wait too long and forget either...

Linki: and it looks like Eloh is the way it is going. If Lizzy is correct in her earlier assessment, I can vote for any of them and be voting for a Baddie. Which is why I am ok with this vote. It has become a numbers game it seems. Unless someone is really pulling the wool over our eyes.

I was blendy until today because something grabbed my attention today. I was not intentionally being blendy, but you should know me well enough by now to know that I am quieter until the game thins out some and really engage better in end game. But like I said, it was because that last result got my brain running (for reasons I cannot divulge). I don't however have any reason to doubt Bea at this point, given what she has said and Mongoose has said.

Re: [DAY 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I am not bad, but if you need to lynch me to prove that, I'm ok with that. It will waste time we could be getting a Baddie, but whatever.

BDH, I hate hearing you saying words like retire. :( I am also sad to see things go down like they have and see you out of the game.

To everyone, I would ask that not just for this game, but for any game you are in that if you take issue with how the host has done something, take it to them in PM and respect whatever they decide in the end. It's a difficult endeavor to host a game, especially one like this that is filled with a bunch of opinionated, obstinate and loud mouthed players such as ourselves. Those of you who have hosted know exactly how frustrating it can be when you are NOT busy, let alone when you are in the busiest time of year. And you also know it can be pretty hurtful and discouraging when you get a lot of pissed off players because they don't like something. Hosts work hard to create and run games for the express purpose of our enjoyment, it is hard on them when we complain and doubly so when we do so in thread. He is trying hard to make this fun for everyone, so cut him some slack guys.

Re: [DAY 8] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I can't believe people are making such a fuss over my socks post. I have always had a habit of writing exactly what I was thinking. I don't know why exactly I put that in,but if I was going to use a secret word I am smart enough to use it a heck of a lot more subtly than that! My feet were cold and I remembered being annoyed by something. I don't recall what now. But I just said it and walked away from the computer in irritation. As far as why I voted for Vomps, it was because I felt more comfortable with Bea's civ alignment than his so if I was going to cast a vote that made any kind of difference I knew it would have to be for one of them. I think I am missing why everyone has changed their mind about Bea.

I want ahead and voted Llama, which is what I would have felt most comfortable voting yesterday if not for the way the votes had already fallen in that lynch. Going to research this Bea stuff.

Ties are resolved by Zodac. There still should have been a lynch, as Nev has pointed out numerous times in reference to me.
I have run games with mechanics where outcomes are dependent upon another role. It usually requires a delay in order to work. I will believe no one was lynched once this night period is past and neither of them die. Remember how Robert's game worked? Lynches all happened at night, correct? I will reserve judgement on this until the night is over.

Re: [DAY 7] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

Ok, I just read ten pages at 40 pp and there is this scene playing in my head from Chicago. I feel like I should be singing "give 'em the old Razzle Dazzle..." This day period has felt like a three ring circus. There are two distinct groups pulling in two different directions. SVS, Bea and BDH are kind of grouped together and pointing at Llama and Nev. Nev and Llama are pointing at Bea. And then you have DH coming in with this Vomps stuff. It just seems like a lot of confusion. I liked Nev's word analysis. But I am hearing SVS and what I am hearing is not, "I suspect, I believe" It is "I know." She would not be saying that if she did not know. I also believe BDH believes Bea is Civ. and yes I think he would know her well enough to know how to read her a lot better than me. And I originally thought she was bad until she was targeted for a NK. I have a waffled a lot on her so this has been tough. Also, I don't understand the logic of killing Bea if you believe she is Martell. If she is, we have no way of knowing it for certain. Why is she the logical choice from your group of three that emerged in the word analysis? I'm just not understanding.

Vomps... DH surprised me with that one. To be honest it seems the most like desperate attempt to distract. (It was DH who brought this us, was it not? Stuff melds together when reading ten pages in one sitting.) anyone can copy and paste. To say that it looks like Vomps because of that seems like a HUGE stretch. And Vomps seems like an easy target to me.

Arg. I don't know if Vomps is bad, but I don't like the case against him. But I have a bad feeling about the way this lynch has gone and particularly about the idea of lynching Bea so I am going to cast a vote on Vomps and see how the chips fall.

I tried posting this once, but apparently it got lost in the Internet somewhere so I will try again.

I have seen a couple people either not getting what my point was or deliberately trying to make me look bad, but either way I will explain my "safest" comment. If Epi had been right and Zodac had targeted INH, then he presumably could not target him again, thereby making it the safest vote a civ could place by voting INH. However this is all meaningless in light of the fact that INH was killed, we saw nothing from Zodac and the poll is a giant mindfuck. But my original point (though null because of those missed details when I posted it) is nothing suspicious nor is it all that very confusing.
