Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (End Game)

I really enjoyed the game BR and LC. It was really fun and engaged me well, which not all games can do. Thank you for all the work I'm sure you put into it. I really appreciate the experience you provided us with as players.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (End Game)

S~V~S wrote:I have to say, when I look back on it, to those on Ahriman & Azura, that aapje really did not actively work against you, even at the end.

Last night it was just he & I in the chat, trying to decide what to do. He did not steer the discussion. He had me talk it out, basically, and would not decide himself about what we would do with the rezz & switch. He let me decide. I actively tried, actually, to get him to decide because I was feeling unsure of myself, I knew we were using up our secret resource and I did not want to mess it up. But he made ME decide. And it probably was not the only time.

So, in his own treacherous fashion, he did the right thing by you.
I have no complaints about aapje, I don't feel betrayed by him. My comment about imbalance is not out of sore loser feelings. And I don't begrudge anyone their win, we all played hard and well. My comment is because there is in my opinion imbalance in this game that seriously handicapped civs. I doubt we could have won no matter what. But this isn't said in anger or whatever just honest commentary. I still played hard and had a ton of fun, so I am not being bitter or just complaining because we lost. And it is not because I thought we could win, I thought in all honesty we didn't stand a chance and I said as much in my chat. I am not surprised by losing, although I saw some glimmer of slight possibility there at the end. But it was fool's gold.

I also have no complaint about how MM used his Rez. He played it well.

You guys played well, I think everyone did.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (End Game)

Ahriman, Grand Master - Spacedaisy
-- What was your epic challenge?

my role:
Ahriman, Grand Master (male) - Clan - Brotherhood of the Inner Eye
Position 1: Redirect Night powers (used against him)
Position 2: Immune to NK/Lynch
Position 3: Choose 5 people to block
Position 4: Kill
Position 5: Votes worth 3

Epic Challenge: Survive a NK attempt on your life and break a tie on a baddie you will gain the ability to call out to Brotherhood players to use their powers a certain way, you will also be immune to negative effects by Brotherhood players.:

-- Whose power did you reduce (?) on N1? I redirected what was targeted at me, which was a lock and I redirected it to MP.

-- Whose vote did you triple on N2? I didn't have the option to triple, my vote was worth three.

-- Whose vote did you triple on N6? See above.

-- Whose power did you reduce (?) on N8? No one targeted me so I couldn't redirect anyone.

-- [You targeted Boomslang with a kill on N9 and it failed, I wonder why] No idea.

-- Whose vote did you triple on N11? See above

-- You survived a kill on N12, how? I blocked the Brutal Executioner.

-- Who did you block on D/N12? Devin, MM, Canuck, Llama, Rey
Bullzeye wrote:I can confirm Canuck also won 5 votes from her challenge, we put them onto Llama during the day where votes for him would go to someone else. If only we'd chosen someone lynchable rather than Daisy!
I was trying to bait it, I knew the lynch would be switched and I wanted to try to bait it so my teammates would be safe. I actually a little surprised it worked. Did aapje have any influence in that decision?

I'm not going to lie, I'm feeling really burned right now. Seeing everything going on makes me realize I really never had a chance to win this game from the start. There were some balance issues here. But I did enjoy the game despite that. So thanks for your hard work BR and LC.

Night 12 I guess?
Nope, back when you suggested Jay might have been turned. People almost always talk about their own role subconsciously and there was no reason to believe there was a chance for someone to be turned. Then Jay died. Then as time went on it was increasingly more likely since you had not been targeted. The attempt to change my blocks was the biggest confirmation. But before that even I had already discussed it with Sorsha in PM with some things we could use if we kept the info from you, but we did not get in the right position for it.

I think he hoped by voting the force vote instead of the immunity position it would be less obvious. And yes he has been on the lynch block for a while, he knows it is his biggest threat. I am not saying everyone who voted five is Azura, don't misunderstand me. I think llama voted it because he is Azura.

Linki: I don't know if he is or not, but they would want some control over the lynch if he isn't.

You suggested that I am Uz. You thought Uz was going to switch the lynch (at least I think you did). I am telling you that I am not Uzbergajan, but that I'm certain llama did the "switching" in a different sense of the word.

I said nothing about the lynch switch in my post. All I did was point out who has the chance to protect someone in position five; Uz.

You responded by saying, I'm not Uz. Llama switched the lynch.
