nope
wish i had
but i did hear that marvel’s moon knight focuses on a character with DID and that it’s done fairly well, haven’t seen it myself yet though
I don't recall whether it's explicitly DID or not, and im not sure how true of a representation of DID it is, but Legion may be worth checking out. It's...without spoiling past the first five minutes of episode one, the main character has superpowers and what is functionally DID afaict*

Worth checking out if that sort of thing interests you, anyways, I know some people don't like seeing something they deal with portrayed in media at times

No no, I wanna go back to my 9th birthday party and relive split screening Diddy Kong Racing, the epic water balloon fight around my house and the sleepover that ensued sugar-high off of Sunny D and Capri suns.

I miss split screening in general :(

Ursula k le guin has some good sci fi books that I recall being approachable for serious readers that aren't sci fi fans. I don't remember the order you're supposed to read them in offhand but left hand of darkness and the dispossessed. I recall hitchhikers guide to the galaxy fitting the bill well (both the movie and the book). Asimov is an acquired taste but a lot of his stuff is focused more around philosophical/ethical concerns rather than the specific made up science, nemesis and a lot of his other short stories in particular.

For movies/tv...well doctor who is a classic entry point for a lot of people, and is pretty accessible...star wars of course...perhaps not stereotypical sci fi but the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is an excellent movie

Oh for sure! I've watched hours of interviews with Dali which actually made me appreciate his creative process and art even more to make him a fav!

Pretentious and philosophical--- there's a very fine line between the two I agree lol. And most artists like to get philosophical :p

I'm not an art snob at all. I'm the furthest thing from that because I feel like a virgin critic. I do get angry when people bash art, cos I feel it wasn't meant to be appreciated by everyone but that doesn't make it "bad".

A good tenderloin, season it with Italian herbs and the fancy himalayan pink salt, start it on the grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, stick in the oven at 420 (nice) for 1-2 minutes, then eat. Usually have spinach and mushrooms with it.

Unfortunately I am a poor boy and thus do not cook this with anything approaching regularity.
Yummmmm that sounds awesome

What kind of music do you like / favorite artists, genres etc?
Yeah it’s pretty good! I don’t cook fancy very often but I’m pretty solid at it the rare times I do.

I have pretty wide ranging tastes in music. I think my favorite artists are probably Zappa and jethro tull, overall. I also have an abiding love of kesha. I don’t really like electrónica and its ilk but outside of that I can find songs I like in most genres I think.

Starving artist if I have to be one I guess. Not a huge martyr fan tbh.

dunya wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2019 2:36 pm what's your fav dish to cook?
A good tenderloin, season it with Italian herbs and the fancy himalayan pink salt, start it on the grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, stick in the oven at 420 (nice) for 1-2 minutes, then eat. Usually have spinach and mushrooms with it.

Unfortunately I am a poor boy and thus do not cook this with anything approaching regularity.
