Re: The Rings of Power - Day Two
first of all because it's funny. but really because there was a concerted effort to get me to go over yesterday and that effort failed, which tells me that wolves were trying to get me chopped but weren't able to get the job done, and then today there was an initial push to get me over again and now my wagon is barely hanging on.dunya wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 4:29 pmWhy do you think you're threadspewed town?hollowkatt wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 4:04 pm @dunya I looked through your ISO and didn't see you tagging me or asking me anything. DOOM has shortened the day, don’t know when day actually ends. If I’m not engaged with work I’ll try and be around at eod.
HK is a continuation vote and he hasn’t don’t anything today to dissuade me from thinking he’s bad but I also think that srceenplay legit scumslipped. I wouldn’t mind consolidating on either one.

Re: The Rings of Power - Day Two
I get it though. I tend to wolf read people who mess with the natural order of the game so I'm getting what they're saying. I'm giving you the benefit of doubt for as up front as you're being basically.NotAnAxehole wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 12:23 amYes, I think Osie is the type of player who has certain ideas on how to play the game of mafia, and anything that conflicts with those ideas seems scummy to them. They said as much in a post this game (I'm not going back to look for it) - that they tend to scum read certain playstyles - And they also mentioned playstyles that they disliked when they talked about my wolf chat plan of RoP 1.0 that they didn't like - they also mentioned playstyles & terminology they disliked on one other occasion... Their reads are very very very obviously influenced by playstyle.hollowkatt wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 12:20 amyou think scotty has osie eating out of his hand then?
I think Osie's reads are purely stylistic reads and that's why I think he's agreeing with Scotty's nonsense.
Aside from that, I think Osie is within their town meta (albeit, limited meta data sample - it's a lot of work to compile).

Re: The Rings of Power - Day Two
Marmot gets in there b/c their only push of note has been against me, and they basically dropped the case as soon as i pushed back on it. Like yeah, they still voted for me and whatnot but if I make a case like that and I think I've got a wolf one post pushing back isn't going to get me to stop talking about/to that person, especially if I think I can get them chopped with my case. It feels opportunistic like marmot thought I'd be a good target and then the first time there's resistance it's meh.MartinGG99 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 12:05 amhow did marmot get in therehollowkatt wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 11:52 pm hey guyz here's a dumb tier list:

Dunya gets into the town list b/c I'm vibing with their reads (for the most part) and I liked how they played D1. I know Mac was all "dunya wolf never rescinding" but I think he's wrong. Her posts feel good to read.

Re: The Rings of Power - Day One
why, in a thread state like this, would martin feel the need as wolf to make performative posts though? Like that thought doesn't make sense to me. Unless what you're trying to say is that his "I have no idea what I"m doing" shtick is designed to make him look uninformed which ok I guess I can see that if I squint but I don't really buy into it.osieorb18 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 10:54 pmHis last few posts have felt performative, tbh.hollowkatt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 10:50 pmfwiw to me he feels internally consistent and yeah, it's easier for wolves to be consistent perhaps than town, or maybe they're more concerned with being consistent, but I dunno, his last set of posts make me think he's uninformed more than anything else. maybe that's a bad reason to town read him but it's the reason I'm going with.osieorb18 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 10:48 pmMartin feels like they're actively not doing anything and their votes/"reads" when present have been wack. I think you missed the part where I'm not talking about meta at all.Marmot wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 8:06 pmhollowkatt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 12:45 pmof all the cases written against me in the history of mafia this one is the most lame.Marmot wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:17 amSpoiler: show
HK has made a number of posts like this today, which offer little insight into his thought process or what he thinks about the game.
This does not include extended back-and-forths about complaining about reading posts in this game thread.
HK has offered a couple reads.
Spoiler: show
But the srceenplay one is, dare I say, hedgey, and the DOOM one is unexplained.
I'm putting HK in the scum pile for now.
but ok, lets go through this line by line I guess.
The first post you cite is a conversation between myself and srceen. I challenge his vote on me, he explains it, and then I push back because he's trying to have it both ways. He says I do the hard thing, then he votes me for "being lazy" except that I'm not being lazy. My "lazy" comment was directed towards scotty when I said I didn't care if he thought it was lazy, I find looking for townies makes more sense and works better for me.
The second post you cite is me making a read on mac for very specific personal reasons. The last two games I've had with wolf mac he specifically pocketed me, he knows it works. So that he hasn't tried doing that thus far is town indicative for him. How is that not offering insight into how I'm thinking? I'm laying out exactly why I have that read.
My comment on creature is a conversation with scotty and again draws on my personal experience with creature. Again I'm not sure where that's not insight into how I'm thinking.
My dunya comment sure, that's a throw-away. impugn me for that I guess.
I do straight up say my srceen read is weird, that's obvs to anyone who read it.
What about the DOOM read needs explaining? I could expand on that in terms of I like the other things they're saying, but mostly it's the attitude of "putting you big person pants on and getting to work" that I don't find comes from a wolf all that often. DOOM might be a highly capable wolf (not sure I've ever seen them wolf tbh) and sure, might say something like that as a wolf, but generally the "ugh lets go fucking solve this" comes from town vastly more often than it does from town.
I don't like that you called this case lame. Rude. Also, it isn't lame. I stand by my reasoning that your contributions to that point look tepid, an that many of your posts are not making contributions to this game based on what's happening in this game.
Part of the reason I find this suspicious is that I sometimes find myself as mafia talking about other players' meta a lot, because it's easy to make a statement without offering an opinion on them based specifically on what they're doing in this game.

I'm cool with srceen/marmot going over. not cool with you, nanook, or naa really. Seems like people are pre-flipping you/nanook and I don't understand why

am I shadowbanned or something? Marmot wrote up a case on me, I said it was junk with reasons, and crickets.
I know I'm not "omg it's teh HK taking over" but also I'm not like just chopped liver.
