I do think as the day has progressed and everyone has participated that if Roxy was town and Neon was town the game would be over. There's been plenty of time for a coordinated snipe to happen and we're now 4ish hours from EOD which says to me that one of the two of them is town and the other is not. If they were both town game would have ended. I can't say they're not both wolves but I can't imagine a world where wolf neon is voting wolf roxy when they could coordinate a push on a townie and win.

To clarify, I am kinda playing hypotheticals here because I haven't seen neon in limlo but from my experience with neon she is jumpy and (idk the right word, something between "boasts confidence" and "decisive")

But it's like the same as blowing away all of her posts. It's a stupid idea but she doesn't care

at this phase of the game I expect something more frenetic/chaotic from her with thought posting, changing ideas, revisiting things. She's coasting atm and doesn't seem to care all that much about whether or not this is going to end the game. She really wanted it known that votes aren't locked and that she doesn't feel like her voting Roxy ended the game then and there. Feels squidgy

This boils down to "HK has TMI" doesn't it? I'm not sure how you want me to address this (I noticed b/c of the quote notifiication on my power outage that you said shortly after that I hvaen't addressed ytour suspicions). I stand by those reads and at the time they were made the thread volume was very very low and Kate was far and away the most obvs town of the bunch. Dennis I put in there because he was making some humorous posts at the time and didn't feel like they were advancing an agenda. Likewise Sig was playing vastly differently than they were when we were 3p in GOC so finding him as town when we were not town in that game was fairly easy. Everyone else was either low effort posting, or just not contributing a lot to the game state, myself included, at that time. So yeah, convenient townies but also fairly obvs townies. And one thing I've noticed is that when you're town and find townies be loud about it because it makes life harder for wolves. Makes them start to have to thikn about addressing those players at night not during hte day and allows players to start to coalesce (box wolves in).

This is a progression of someone that hasn’t put too much thought into voting someone off D1, considering he hasn’t mentioned a good chunk of the player base but has already said he’s not gonna push Wilgy and Dennis isn’t someone he wants to kill.

tbh I don't remember why I voted wigly. Voting dennis came about because I found his posts were trending in a weird direction that didn't make sense to me and instead of trying to dig in and lead town with his posting he was fluff posting towards Kate.

I've already said I prefer HK today, and that I have a tinfoil'y TR on Roxy.

Basically in the first post Falcon talks about Roxy being ML Bait when we are actively in MYLO and votes Roxy pushing her to two. Falcon never talks about Roxy being a wolf, just ML bait.
Roxy makes a few posts calling out Neon for how they've "lied" about Roxy, then calls out Falcon. Falcons response is "I would rather yeet HK and I have a tinfoil town read on Roxy" while still voting Roxy and really not making any kind of concerted effort to talk about why HK is a wolf and what he's going to do about that.

This sequence of posts does not read as townie.

we might be talking past each other. If Roxy is chopped today and is town wolves win the game. 5-3 becomes 4-3 with the chop becomes 3-3 with the NK

So if you're town and voting town roxy there's nothing that stops the 3 wolves from piledriving the chop there for the win as long as they can coordinate it. That's what I'm talking about and that's why I'm thinking there's a difference between the two of you because if you were both town the game could potentially end at any time (weird that you don't seem concerned...) and if you're both wolves you're throwing away a potential win today via an unnecessary bus

her and dennis were the most prolific posters at the time, both of them had exceeded the first post cap. Additionally Kate was engaging or trying to engage with most of the players in the game. When a townie does that it makes them very hard to chop because there's a lot of different ways that person can be town read. I think Kate was NK because they weren't going to be chopped and because they were working very hard to be globally engaging and working to solve. I also think that's why wigly was NK. They weren't going to get chopped, not after they stopped using gimmicks and got down to business.

Basically the wolf team is killing the people they need to kill and we're doing the rest of their job for them by killing "wolfy" townies.

yeah for sure. So the thing is how much stock should be put into a potential "setup" from the wolf team last night to make Roxy look bad? Like we've all seen wolf teams make kills designed to make someone not guilty look really guilty so that's a thing to be aware of.
But the counterpoint to that is "just kill wolfy people".

I think my plan for today is to sit back and re-evaluate everyone in light of flips and how they've pushed. I'm still happy with calling you town though. Sig was townie and the way you've entered the game doesn't seem like a powerwolf going for the win it really feels like town that wants to solve and get things right. Maybe I'm a sucker for tonal reads like that but when I put my feet up and think about things that's the conclusion I come to. There's not a voice in the back of my head going "but what if you're wrong" like I do with some other people.

Porscha I think has been really weak the entire game in a suspect sort of way. Their D1 was very full of open ended questions that didn't get follow up, when I tried to shitpost at them when they asked who I'd want to interview or whatever it was there wasn't a pushback like I'd expect from someone who really wanted to use that information to either firm up a read on me or to press me on why I thought the way I did, it felt very much like busywork.

I know Porscha is moving house so I'm tempering that a little but still feels not town to me.

Dennis I think has been fluffy and weird but overall is skating the line between not town and town. I do think a wolf team that contains dennis could kill kate. I put no stock in "but he wouldn't do that to someone that town reads him" because I have done exactly that. You kill the person you need to kill and if that's someone that town reads you then lean into that.

Falcon is moving up lately for me, I like his posting today. Moving to a lean town from null

Fingersplints had a rough opening day but has picked up a bit, I like that. They seem inquisitive and are following up on things they're asking.
Lemon is a null to town lean mostly because I just don't remember anything they've talked about, we haven't engaged much if at all.

Sig is Sig. They're a solid player all around and almost carried the 3p team to victory in GOC after losing waza vv early and then losing me shortly thereafter. I do like his posting though, fills me with "I am solving" feels.

sup scotty I think Kate was a SPK given they were the second most prolific person (or most i can't remember) in the thread before they died. My guess is the wolf team felt Kate was most likely to drive discussions/engage with everyone, and nobody really suspected Kate as being a wolf therefore blammo

lemme rephrase that: Is meta a legitimate concern when wolfing? obvs the answer to that is yes. Someone who's on a hot streak of solid high quality play is someone the wolf team absolutely will be concerned with managing and I saw nothing from Kate out of the gate that indicated they were in any way slowing down.

because the last reads list Kate posted had me, lemon, splints, and porscha in the POE and I am town reading or leaning (or myself) lemon and splints. Additionally there's a town lean on roxy for how hard they tried to get things out of pyxxy.
A lot of Kates posting is pointed at you and is extremely fluffy. Kate was a prolific poster and I think that's why they died. Killing people making a lot of noise helps make sure that wolves don't need to deal with the noise and aren't potentially caught out by it.

I'm inclined to agree with this. I spec'd muppets, was in GOC, and yeah Kate has been rocking it. Kate also was second to top poster and involved in a lot of different conversations with lots of people so SPK isn't off the table there. Nor is reads kill. Has anyone gone through her reads yet? probs will do that this afternoon or tomorrow during the day.

I mean, this is the first post of substance I see in Dennis' ISO and idk, it looks pretty good
there's thoughts, it doesn't feel forced, there's no sense of having an underlying purpose behind it

it's not a bad post but it is pretty basic and shouldn't be the root cause for a town read b/c like a competent wolf should be able to make that 100 times out of 100 given that it's basically entirely meta as in "x is not the same as last time I saw x" but there's very little in the way of conclusion or what I like to call Actionable Thoughts.
