Major scum points on Rondo, especially if Sean flips town.

He had Sean as part of town-core towards start of day and said he really would only vote seanzie at lylo.

I don't quite understand what's going on since I town-read seanzie and nobody really talked to me about it except sean himself.

I'm voting in the hopes that the following is achieved:

-Marmot or seanzie are NOT chopped
-One, but not both, of Falcon/Flanders are chopped

My votes on the poll may move before I mention anything given the closeness to EoD.

For the record, I don't always play path-of-least resistance wolf. If I did that all the time, I'd become polarized. Sometimes I tryhard, so me doing ISOs or being helpful really shouldn't be enough to warrant a lock!town read on me.

More-so you've been on the up and have kept going up for me for quite some time and so I feel like I should lock town you. Its more "final nail in the coffin" (except flipped to be the opposite of morbid or negative).

It was with trying to communicate and interact with others, when others can or do have significantly different views on how they play and read mafia, is just challenging at times and takes energy to resolve. Something of which I wasn't really feeling.

Why tf do I have to @ so many people for this?

I figured I could actually just pop-in around EoD and place a vote, and maybe make the wolves nervous in the mean-time that way by removing myself from the equation (so that the elimination would be less decided). That way, there would be more incentive for posts regardless of alignment.

Though considering there have been a fair amount of posts since then I guess I might share that I am tempted to join the Marmot wagon. I don't track how much he jokes as town or mafia, but I do recall a game where he posted a funny picture of a wolf chasing a marmot in reaction to a question @ him, while he was mafia. Makes me wonder if he's more inclined to joke as mafia, as twice now I've asked him about things and his response was "it was a joke" and I suspect p#418 was spun to look silly and/or joke-y as well. Only thing that mildly bothers me about it is that I never really did count and also marmot hasn't voted nor really posted yet, in a day-phase where there would be arguably even more incentive for mafia to vote and post.

So I'll probably do the Falcon wagon. I don't quite trust Flanders being on it, but I do think resolving one of Falcon/Flanders is a good idea given that they both know each other probably more than they know anybody else here (iirc). Also something something wolfy reasoning from Martin.

@Porscha if you're town, which judging by your interactions with me you are, I should apologize to you. I shouldn't have brought such negativity into the thread, and I made that post while I was sleepy (probably not a good idea lol) I was frustrated with the game in general, and being slightly more frustrated by our past convo, I made the poor choice of taking part of it out on you to an unfair degree.

Last I checked, most of the players in this thread aren't really solving as of late.

I decided to do something different and I don't quite care if its the most correct way. I think a lot of people just aren't voicing their thoughts (or aren't invested enough to do so)

so I thought it would be interesting if I started pulling things out for them rather than just sit here and wait for me to read them

like, seriously, all of this happens:

- the guy who was top wagon for most of d1 spends EoD1 thinking he's the chop
- the person who is actually chopped for d1 is revived/ressurected/reanimated
- Mac dies
- TWO FREAKING YEETS TODAY

and only 40-something posts are made within the first 12 hours, and most of them barely even discuss any of that (except mine because apparently no one cared enough to notice #1 and so I had to be the one who brings it up)

and, to add onto all of that, there's been only six votes so far or just 1 more than half the game (AND TWO OF THEM ARE FROM PEOPLE WHO TOOK THE IRL DAY OFF WITH CANADA DAY!!!! Not that I hate taking the day off, as holidays are generally important, it just shows the ridiculousness of this town if the people who do take off are those who are the ones voting or have voted.)

Regardless, I would like to hear your explanation as to why four to five different slots have suspected Flanders by now, and why Flanders is town despite that. They can't all be wolves, and some of them are factually town (and I personally believe its quite likely most if not all of them are town).

If you don't answer that then I have no interest in seeing otherwise. I suspect that chopping Flanders would be the best way to move forward -- knowing Flanders to be mafia or town (when a number of people have suspected him including two people of factual town alignment) will be quite useful for figuring out everyone involved (or not involved) in it.

I noticed you basically meta-read DOOM but didn't for me (and yet had us both as largely top scum for d1) and so I was wondering if that was indicative of scumminess, depending on your reasons for suspecting me. But I suspect that most towns in your position w.r.t. what you point out would consider voting or scum-reading me to some degree. So I feel like you're more of a null now rather a scum-lean. Also, come to think of it, I wouldn't just simply meta-read a town player if I was pushing them (while being a wolf) -- there would be more to it. Unless DOOM was seriously outside their meta, as I didn't check.

Creature acts detached or plays in a way that is detached very frequently imo, and a lot of the reads I make tend to assume that whatever X or Y did was because they saw some value or were invested in it. In other words, I'm more suited for reading people who play the game normally. Not lurk and say odd things such as "have we found a wolf yet". Even if I did attempt to read such players, could never be confident about it. This is also kinda why I'm confident in seeing you town. You are very invested into this, or at least more than most people here.

Anyways my problem for my reads in general is that I don't work well with games that have low amounts of posts. For most of d1 there were less than 200 posts, and I've only JUST now had a decent amount of information that maybe I could work something out and be confident in. Considering how my last town game went, which had less posts than this, I remain largely uncertain about what I say or think. That, and its slightly demoralizing to see a number of people disagree with me and anything I say or do (or at least it feels like that -- I haven't kept track).

My hope is that this D1 provides enough for the strongest town players (whoever they are) to catch the wolves.

Well if we're assuming that Seanzie is wolf

I think its possibly Flanders. Not that because I scum-read flanders, but I do think !wolf Seanzie's play to go "ah yes we should push Martin around d1" to be a bit off, especially with how it has been conducted. Though I can't quite describe it. Part of that is just feeling, but also part of that is from experience where d1 !wolf Seanzie has been relatively removed from the game. If my memory is functional, the Avatar game and one other game on The Syndicate showed that. Seanzie deciding to dive into me, which will likely get him to be more active d1 than he normally is when wolf (at least in the games I've seen !wolf seanzie) is just strange.

There must have been some value in pushing me around. Otherwise, I don't get it. I suspect that if Seanzie did fear me as wolf, he would've also believed that an RVS push on me would lead nowhere. Or at least that's how it should have lead but it turns out I'm not so great in making myself look town when town.

Linear - Same problem as porcha, but the stalling early when I was fake pushing her wasnt a good look.
Martin - I am not going to protect as long as he is willing to just battle it out with seanzie and not actually go for any decent reads or game state analysis (slightly in POE)

In short at this moment my day 1 reads are
Town: Seanzie / Porcha / Marmot
Wolves Martin / Linear / Flanders

Probably terrible reads but we will see what happens and how people react

I don't think LP has wolf-read me? They basically went and said "ah yes this is characteristically Martin but I haven't seen evil martin soooo idk", at least from what I've read before. Creature has vote me but I wasn't awake for that, I'm probably not going to consider him because I'm fairly sure I will never accurately read Creature based on how Creature plays games both as town and as wolf, I think.

As for the rest, I've been debating them all except my read on you. You're the only one I'm confident about.

DO NOT reanimate/revive me. I am just a civilian/citizen and so it would be a waste, as compared to using it on the PR or other people.

A lot more nulls than I'd prefer, but I suppose that comes with the slower start to the game and a few people not having really started playing. Even though this doesn't really show up on this sort, I've kind of softened on Martin a bit, when I was pressuring them, they didn't just focus on defending themselves and continued to give reads on the game around them, which I think was kind of a good look. They were still very reactionary in a way that I think is scummy, but I am kind of worried about a different possibility as well. Still kind of okay with my vote, but would really like to hear from some of the low posters to help sort that null group.

but at worst Martin/Seanzie is T/S, and I find it unlikely that shading both players (especially when the mafia consist of only two players) would happen in this scenario

and if Martin/Seanzie is T/T, it would be better to just null me and put sus on seanzie or something like that if you're going to take advantage of this as wolf in order to push/chop both of us

therefore rondo is likely town in shading both of us

As for the green part, I had to think on that a bit: The progression is clear and I can see where rondo is thinking, and feels unlikely to be performative because it resulted from Linear interacting with him rather than Rondo going out on his own and progressing on posts already made. Also most of it was real-time-ish in the FM world.

you're going to have to make some level of assumption at some point

While I think a lot of players in this game are capable of more than they've portrayed thus far (myself included), Mac is the self-proclaimed God of mafia, so I hold him to a higher standard

I think Mac can't really focus here. IIRC he's like in 3-4 different games, one of them having like 30-something players.

So I would be prepared in seeing a low-posting Mac.

Not going to discuss it anymore though, as its NAI but also probably toeing the line of various rules.
