Re: Severance [Day Five]
We had the pairings figured out in wolf chat (and in my chat with jack) pretty long ago, there was just nothing indicating on some of them.
The game did have a lot of unanticipatable elements, that was actually our biggest complaint on wolfside as well, more on that later yeah.

my lowest point in this entire game was when you came into that day raring and suspecting me. i thought i was so unbelievably dead, the whole game was just over and i was just going to go antispew and have rondo start bussing, because yeah you were spot on... and then you hit one of the banana peels.

I was considering Ranmilia for the entire phase, the NK results and pairing analyses heavily pointed in that direction, but never had the opportunity/confidence to really push it
the gira kill was... pretty much forced by the unfortunate eod. killing him made me look awful, leaving him alive would likely be worse. i think. i very very heavily considered leaving him alive and going for the "i totally would have killed you" play, i wonder if it would have worked. but we were forced to make one of our kills in home thread anyway and gira was just the best target by all reasonable measures.

Re: Severance [Day Five]
it was not explicitly revealed to us. only that we could achieve a win if we voted out a living town/town pair. I was and still am not entirely sure what would have happened if a town/wolf was voted out.
We were uh. flying pretty blind and worked very hard to compile information and find Wilgy as the exact target we could win on.

Re: Severance [Day Five]
Our immediate wincon on the final day was to vote out a town whose pairing was also town. However, we did not know leetic and tedxtr's pairings, so from our perspective they were a 50/50 to win on the spot whereas Wilgy was the sole town we knew was a guaranteed win. We could also have punted on Alexy or Abigail for the two day but that seemed risky with people closing in hard on Rondo/Ran. Shoutouts to Cape for spending the entire work thread's accumulated towncred to blatantly push Wilgy over.

Absolutely. Gira and Dizzy in particular had incredibly accurate solves, which is precisely why we had to discredit them and shout them down to such a degree. At many, many points I felt like Gira singlehandedly rendered the game unwinnable for us; this proved not to be the case but. y'all do not even know how lucky we got. we played hard and well but we also got SO FREAKING LUCKY.

Re: Severance [Day Five]
This was by far the hardest mafia experience of my life. Our mafia team was miraculous. The town was also miraculous and played extremely hard and extremely well. I am sorry to all of the town who were deceived, especially the ones who had negative experiences at times. I hope everyone still enjoyed the game overall and take our performance as just that -- a grand theatre show.
i will have more detailed comments later if wished for but for now
“If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
If you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.”

Re: Severance [Day Five]
Friend, did you read my posts from this morning where i went over this? Have you looked at TSP's iso? Abigail and TSP are not partnered, unless they pursued a masterpiece theatre plan in which TSP attempts to draw attention to her and hard bus her and somehow fails, while she approaches me in a way I have not seen a wolf dare to do in over a decade and then does nothing with it but appear uninformed.leetic wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 6:32 pmWhy isn't Abby a wolf? not thrilled with leetic's posting today either. being hyperfocused on pairings and pushing stuff like "this person fits the most pairings so they are most likely wolf" is quite wolfy aaaaaand a vote on abi huh
that ain't it chief.
here's the deal. at least one of leetic and ted's claims are bogus. at least one of ted's and alexy's claims are bogus. ALL of these people are sketching me out. alexy, oddly enough, the least, i do believe the pyxxy contact is genuine from what they're saying.
abi is the one (active) player i'm confident here is not a wolf atp, and since i arrived at that conclusion this morning, suddenly feels like a ton of people popped out of the woodwork to say "no no abi is sus let's go abi here!" (by a ton i mean like three but context here. yknow.) (also i don't think psv and cape are likely wolves but they're Not Appearing In This Day so, mwaf)
She is unpaired with TSP, which is the most important pairing at all, and behaviourally town which is the most important factor. We're looking for wolves here, that is, people who are on a team with TSP and have knowledge of who is and is not mafia. You're repeating the "least things going for her" line like you're trying to speak it into existence as a truism- why? What exactly are you considering when you say that?

Apparently earlier in the game Abi had been masoning Rondo, so turning on him now is suspicious. Perhaps an attempt to take advantage of the Rondo wagon previous cycle. My not knowing about the masoning should be evidence that this is indeed coming from Pyxxy. He also suggests (although I can't tell if it was a suggestion to me or to everyone) that folks reread the game in which Abi spewed something about Rondo town framing. Paraphrasing is hard when you don't know what they're talking about lmao

The relevant claims are as such:DrWilgy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:47 am Now, my holdup here that is a problem this game is that I'm by no means a mechanical player.
Does anyone see or can point out to me exact points of mech contention between players and why?
I assume they exist between Ted/Alexy? Does Leetics present one as well?
Alexy claims 2 shot watcher (no additional stipulations)
- n1 PSV, saw scotty, scotty apparently confirmed going to PSV (can you/someone from work thread check the order on this though? who claimed first?)
- n2 Long Con, saw no one visiting
Ted claims 2 shot watcher that "cannot see kills"
- n1 attempted Macdougall, was roleblocked (by WWA who confirmed this and flipped)
- n2 WWA, saw no non killing visits (WWA was nightkilled)
Leetic claims 3 shot tracker (no additional stipulations)
- n1 Bereft, visited no one
- n2 attempted Ted, claims roleblocked/no feedback?
- n3 Abigail, visited no one
also relevant here is:
WWA flipped 2 shot roleblocker
- n1 confirmed in thread that she blocked ted
- n2 she died, did not claim a target in the day, allegedly also did not claim when she was in work thread with Long Con?
... which all adds up to a pile of not helpful. Nothing in any of this is confirmed except possibly alexy seeing scotty, if alexy claimed it first.
Ted/leetic have put forth various arguments for their credibility but they are based on setup spec and circumstantial evidence, nothing actually confirmable or conflicting.

Re: Severance [Day Five]
TSP not having the "ran could always be powerwolfing" reaction was a big clue he was off. i'll attempt a review of TSP stuff that stood out to me, for the other thread peeps and general review.
very early on when people were looking at the signup thread and predicting two threads, TSP the wolf spoketh thus: "wolves in nutella brad monroe scotty in the other thread, based on nothing whatsoever"
these are now all flipped, brad (lime coke) wolf the other three town. something something salad, eat your heart out.
randomly said "we're about to chop rondo, right" when rondo subbed in, and then somewhat later voted WWA and said "i convinced myself against the leetic vote" which I have marked as ?!?!?! because it was pretty out of nowhere no "leetic vote" going on at that time. shortly thereafter he gives his reasoning, in a major post that i wish i could quote, saying bereft (the current de facto wagon) was a "limp" and "rand" chop, and asking who in the game "should know better". but also then saying voting bereft looked "slightly towny". and he ends up saying abi and pyxxy are "the standard d1 chops that don't have votes" and pushing towards them.
he talks about leetic quite a lot but never really gives a hard stance. he talks about tedxtr almost none.
then there's a bit where he's talking about dizzy and i voting each other, dizzy accuses him of trying to set up a "must be one in ran/dizzy" dichotomy and he denies this and flees. he ends up voting robyn, calling it going with the flow, and says "ted is not a good choice" when ted and rondo are fighting.
he is absent or lurking at the actual eod1. on day 2, he claims he would have left his vote off wagon on dizzy or abigail if he had been present, then says dizzy looks good and abi looks bad, doubles down on attacking abi, then starts flailing and pushing back when people start pushing him.
when asked for five chops to solve the game, shortly after announcing illario is in his head, he says "dizzy rondo bereft ran and abigail narrowly over ted before leetic asks." then adjusts this to "rondo abi bereft dizzy is a two wolf group on wagonomics" - rondo being his counterwagon at the time
and that's about when the push on him really takes off and the serious takes end, he leaves his vote on rondo and does not post in the last hourish.

abi is ~90% not with TSP and it has been a true hot minute, by which i mean decade+, since anyone tried to sidle up to me the way she has. the combination of these two things makes me... probably as confident as i'm ever going to get at this point. if you're a wolf goddess you got me.

Sorry for requote - what does he think of your thread from his time there, and what does he think of Abi rn?Alexy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 2:49 amPyxxy has said that he believes in you. Also, that mechanical actions performed on one thread appear to have an effect on both threads (I think that's been widely accepted already, but I suppose he wants to remind us) - the TSP kill from your thread is apparently evidence of this. Feel free to ask anything specific if you're worried I'm not relaying his (paraphrased) words!Ranmilia wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 1:35 am hOI i'm back. parents are visiting. depending on what they want to do i will either be around a lot or not at all... might miss eod, might also just stay up all the way to then, i dunno, whee.
i would not advocate reading into PR numbers here.
@Alexy What else has pyxxy been saying?

Well, thanks for the relayed vote of confidence. Is this talking about just the phantom votes, or something else?Alexy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 2:49 amPyxxy has said that he believes in you. Re: Severance [Day Five]
True but it can tell us things about alexy, which seems important.leetic wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 1:54 amWhy? It doesn't seem particularly balanced for there to be such a huge disparity in PR numbers. Then again, maybe that's why the other thread was doing better
Also, I would take anything "pyxxy" says with a grain of salt, he cannot corroborate anything and if Alexy was lying about what he said he'd have no recourse but to scream into BTSC

Re: Severance [Day Five]
it... answers enough for now, yeah, thanks.tedxtr wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 10:52 am i guess, for whatever reason, there's a chance bereft was a 3p that doesn't reveal upon flip and wolves don't actually have a janitor, but it's just extremely lol for it to be the case
at least fmpov i had no idea why tf my role would be a thing, but when bereft came up as janitored it instantly clicked for me that yes, my role would indeed have utility if there's a wolf janitor. so im much more likely to believe he was janitored
hope that answered your question cuz im not sure what you were asking lol
Morning Jack is here, we're chatting. He is of the opinions that:
A. Rondo is a wolf
and B. of the innie/work thread, everything has proceeded according to his view of the game so far, Alexy is suspicious and Cape/Wilgy/PSV all look very good in his eyes.

Re: Severance [Day Five]
tbf i don't think a lot of the claim talk makes sense either. I've been letting it go for reasons and because we don't know what happened with Bereft and I thought ted townslipped yesterday but. it may be time to dig into it. can you lay out for the class from your perspective what you believe has happened, and why you claim it clears you?

Re: Severance [Day Five]
i've definitely mucked this game up. sorry for that.
things are not as bad as they look though.
abi/ted/rondo if you're around, i need y'all to work with me and solve in worlds where i am town.
abi/ted both say rondo. abi thinks rondo/ran, ted thinks rondo/?, leetic is on rondo/abi.
rondo says ??? possibly me?
this is the current state of things as i understand it.
at least one of abi/ted/rondo is also town. my job today is to find them. (probably only one, i was holding out hope for scenarios where bereft was a wolf and 2 wolves dead in both threads triggered the merge but realistically it's more likely 3p shenanigans.)
So to the group of abi/ted/rondo: who do you townread out of that group and why?
