While I don't think I'm completely wrong about who I townread, I did get the thought that there's not much push to change the gamestate with what we think will be a Nanook chop. I think if the baddies really needed the gamestate to be different (like if Nanook were JD) there would be more of a push against it.

If the other two scum are unconverted sins, they wouldn't have any reason to push back against a Nanook chop.

Also, killing JD doesn't like, end the game for mafia as long as there's at least one other mafia, does it? Yes would make things harder since I assume recruitment wouldn't happen anymore (though maybe I'm wrong on that, I can think of ways to design the game where it would still be possible). But the only case where I would expect strong pushback against a Nanook chop even if he is JD would be if all 4 remaining non-village are now mafia.

I’d think there would be pushback with 2 converts as well, but only one convert or no converts is definitely possible and there’s no way to know. It’s also possible one or more unconverted sins know JD’s identity.

I’m still gone for a bit and not sure how reliable my service will be. I thought of the possibility that someone else could have carried Nanook’s kill or kills if Nanook were JD and he had teammates. I was debating to myself away from the thread whether it’s more important to kill someone with a lower chance of being bad and a higher chance of being JD or the highest chance of being bad at all and I think the second is more important. We really don’t want to hit town.

I feel like having a lot of town reads makes sense when there's minimal scum and some of those are able to authentically scumhunt.

Idk what you expect pressure to do tbh. Make me...read harder? I can only provide the thoughts that I have. I was serious when I said I'm not comfortable with the thought that JD is in my top scum reads since I'd expect that role to be more active, I just don't know who it is.

A lot of it was a gamestate thing. I felt like a lot of people were complacent with the gamestate yesterday, I thought you were a potential JD, and I wanted to see how my PoE would react to a wagon on you.

I'm looking through Dubz' ISO and I get the general feeling she's playing it safe and wants to stay UTR. She often makes a point of agreeing with players and also has lots of town reads and not many scum reads. The scum reads she did have were Dennis and Nanook which are very safe ones to have. I want to put some pressure here.

Ultimately I want to vote for someone who has both a high chance of being JD and a high chance of being bad in general. I have less time than I thought I was going to and I'll be gone all day tomorrow for a family gathering. I don't think Nanook is JD and I don't think Falcon is JD. I think Mata and Dubz have some JD equity, and rn I'm looking at Dubz more than Mata. I think I was too hung up on early reads so I didn't reevaluate on Dubz as much as I should have.

There's probably at least one scum in my towns (there always is) and I'm a bit worried it's JD because I personally feel like JD would have more incentive to seem invested in the game and direct things a bit than the sins would. And there's no one currently in the top of my POE who really checks that box for me. So that's cool.

As of now, my town is Rondo,for general demeanor and reaction testing but thankfully not too much reaction testing, Wilgy, for mech, and for reasons I have, Falcon. I lean townish on Michelle and Thunal. Michelle is reminding me more of Champs and less of Anniversary as we go along. She's got that tone, she is not trying to please anyone, that she had in Champs. Early on I had no real read on Thunal, and felt I should with twice my post count. I read back on day 1 and 2 and found a lot of small nuance reads that I don't think a Sin or Doe who might be trying to lay low waiting for a team to form would make.

That leaves Dubz, Matahari and Nanook as my unknown. I agree with Roxy that I keep waiting for town Dubz to show up, same with Mata, I think Roxy said "dragging her feet". Nanook is like a good camper, he leaves no trace. And that bit where he cbf to find the big event that shook up the thread, maybe he already heard about it in the chatroom.

Yeah, i can agree with that. Civ Michelle is a bit sharper, maybe even bolder. Bad Michelle is a bit more of a people pleaser.

Besides I don't think you being a roleblocker means Nanook wasn't blocked. It's quite possible one or more bad guys also has a roleblock.

Rn the people I townread most are Wilgy, SVS, Michelle, and Rondo in that order. If those reads are correct it leaves no room for anyone else to be town unless other sins have converted to town like Dennis could have.

If I'm wrong in this group, they're probably an uninformed sin and not JD. Rondo faking the amont of twists and turns in his progression this game would imo be difficult for someone with information to do. Michelle's pushes on Mac and Nanook strike me as genuine and would be hard for Michelle with information to fake.

No, but there was some protection in the game. There's also the possibility that a baddie roleblocked Nanook even if he is bad since they may not all know each other.

I don't think that feedback necessarily means Nanook was blocked and it could be that my action didn't work. What's a time bomb? I've never played with one.

Since pyxxy and Dennis already flipped mafia, I'd guess there is a mafia team at this point. I want to approach this game from the angle that there is since I think one way JD is catchable is if they have teammates that want to protect him.

I think Falcon and Nanook are both bad. I just had a thought that Falcon might be coming in and trying to shake things up to get people off JD Nanook.

I think Wilgy is town independently of this because of the Sean BTSC stuff, so Kate may have wanted to draw attention to Wilgy and make people tinfoil him.

And it doesn't add up if you put together all the roles. JD is a distinctive player

That's a pretty good point. Epi JD wouldn't be in immediate danger and if he didn't die, there would be 5 baddies still alive. I don't think switching JD would be worth Epi dying.

I also believe Kate's SVS read was real. Seanzie thought it was and Kate's other info about her and Dennis was real so I don't see her lying about specifically SVS.

Interesting. I'll treat it as a difference check between you two but I'm not sure if either of you would be JD from it. If one of you is JD it would be Wilgy imo. In a world where Wilgy was truthful and you were lying, you'd be taking a big risk by CCing before the phase ended. If you were truthful and Wilgy was lying, he may not have believed a living player got BTSC with Sean. Either way it's still a risky play that could easily lead to a CC battle.

Wow, that's a lot. I think town is almost outnumbered unless sins became town like Dennis could have. It's really important for us to get it right today.
