Special thanks to the very awesome Daisy for making them!

Every player who played can fly the winner banner. We really wanted to do something to honor the people who played multiple roles in order to keep the game going so we made a super sub banner for you guys as well!

Enjoy and thank you all for a great game!

Oh. Sorry Rox. And sorry for misleading you Rob. I belived Laine was civ because as you know she is my daughter, I never saw her on btsc and she totally pulled the wool over my eyes.
I knew Laine was from the UK because of when she said she had to eat, her use of the term "rubbish," and other factors. But I could not place her with any of the usual UK Mafia players. Had us all fooled, she did!

Anyway, now you know to watch your back, Dad. :feb:
:haha:
This whole exchange is SO full of win. I can't even.

It almost makes me wish MY Dad played mafia.

I'd so own him :feb:

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 13

I think we have everything up now - if there are still any niggling worries or issues or complaints - please pm ME about it. We've already used up too much of sock's time and Rox worked VERY hard on this game for a VERY long time. I'm the one you want to talk to if you still have issues. :srsnod:

All I can say generally is that we did the best we could do with the dice that were rolled to us. We had a full game where only half the members signed up for for one reason or another couldn't participate in. We filled in those roles with the people who died in other roles who wanted to keep playing. (we ADORE our subs btw. You guys kept this game alive) When we thought things were unbalanced we tried our best to make it right.

We did - TRULY strived for a fair game and made several adjustments when we thought things were going unfairly toward one side or the other given how the roles were writ. We're not w/o errors - and we did really seek to amend those errors as best we could. It hurts both the mod and the one who worked so hard on this game that people feel at the end that it's so unfair.

Any further issues should again - be taken up with me - not them. They've already done all they could. I can cross any more t's and dot any more i's you may feel fit to have explained.

I also welcome any criticism about how we could have done things better. But again, I ask that it come to me and not the mod or my co-host. Please feel free to vent my way.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 13

Day 0 poll -you already knew the vote constraints on. Here are the other Night Polls that affected lynches:

N1:

Grandma's House: Starts day with -1 vote.
Castle: Starts day with +1 vote. (NOTE: Team Big Baddie did not know of this when they made their word of the day "castle" )
Woods: Can not be lynched.

N2
This poll did not affect the lynch or do anything.

N3

Potion: Must post 8 times for their vote to count
Spells: Must post 10 times for their vote to count
Runes: Must post 5 times for their vote to count.

N4:

Story: Must post about their fav grimm story
Character: Must post about their fav grimm character.

N5:

Grimm: Must post about a grimm fairy tale
Asops: Must post about an Asops tale
Mother Goose: must post about a Mother Goose tale.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 13

word = "point"

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:These seven have uttered the accursed word.

Carmen Brightsun wrote:I never said *how* much experience I have with mafia, just that I have some. My experience could be just from what I have observed in this game only. I would come right out and say if this was my first game or how many games I have played if I weren't Carmen. However, I think the point of being Carmen, or Miyuki, is to keep all of those types of things secret.

Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:I'm going to try not to quote today, since we don't know if magic words count when used in quotes, but I will say this to Carmen. Thank you, I do understand what you're saying about not wanting to reveal who you are in rl. But I have to say, a simple 'I did not role hint' would have been nice. And I read back, you had ample opportunity to say that at some point.

This is not good.

Queran Gloomsoul wrote:Now I want to address another issue, Gob's affinity for blending into the crowd.. Her affection for Bac's posts pinged me because, in my experience, it's very easy for someone to attach themselves to someone else, whom the believe to be civvie, in an effort to appear also civvie. To cut down on the size of this post I will not cite every time Gob did this with Bac, but sufficed to say if you read back through her posts, you will notice the pattern. I will however point this out:

Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:Bronwyn's vote for Caillic was partly following Queran's lead. He pointed out that Caillic had voted Ameerah while simultaneously hoping she was not lynched. She also said she was pinged that Caillic had not defended himself after receiving his first vote from Shand, a point I was originally confused about due to unclear antecedents. Her response was more or less "I am not connected to Queran and am not bad." Which to me seemed reasonable, so I let it go.

Fane Winebattle wrote:Thank you for that, Gobnait. Your effort enriches us all. At this point, you both make very convincing and sincere cases to the point that I'm inclined to vote for neither of you and seek baddies elsewhere, because a wrong choice between the two of you would result in the loss of a very valuable civ.

Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:Gobnait and Queran, your positions were both well reasoned but I need more time than I've got left during this bright time to think through each one. Gobnait, I don't see your point about Queran's tallies for civvs 4 or 5 times as all that relevant because of two things: one, not counting the dead people there are 9 people who have not casted their choice one or more times. Were they avoiding casting their choice because they did not want to give themselves away or for some other reason? I don't know but I'm suspicious. Also, there are people we just don't know about yet that could be good or bad that people have casted choices for. Either of these things could lead to many more people who could have casted choices for civvs 4 or 5 times. Aside from this point though I found your arguments compelling.

Grutfud Orangesprite wrote:Maybe she's a civ and she just thinks you are bad, and she realizes she can't save herself at this point.

We would like to transfer these votes to Gobnait Gingeriute (Queran's vote is already there).

Thanks!

Nice catch of the day! Our nets almost burst! :feb:

Queran Gloomsoul wrote:Fair enough Finnian, my point is not to be so aggressive about people wishing you'd put forth more effort. It looks strange when it's Day 3 and you pop in to make one or two liners and not much else. Nobody's saying you should make uberposts or nab a baddie in your first case, but *a* thought would be nice. Especially considering the sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in baddie-catching wise.

2.

Bac Wunderelin wrote:I won a prize, and i was told by the hosts that I no longer had it as I had been the person lynched.

As I said, there are three other people who can confirm (to themselves, not outing in the thread) that I was right about the other prizes. And no one can say they got the first prize. Becasue I got it. And it was a lynch save. You may find this far fetched, but truth it indeed is :srsnod:

*4*

Mainchin Ironbeast wrote:The problem I have with Finnian is that most people who didn't have time would say so from the off. Something like I'll be busy for a couple of days.
Carmen I wasn't convinced totally that she was not civ but that lynch switch is pretty damning.

So in short I feel we still have two good lynch candidates.

1

Ameerah Frolicstag wrote:Yay for no night kill!!!

Bac, we really are like ships passing in the night. I am not sure why you think I'm being blendy and using hyberbole. I spent a great deal of time on Day 2 reading back through a lot of posts and posted my thoughts on the people I'm suspicious of: Carmen, Mainchin, and Laine.

Mainchin has now come out and basically vouched for Laine which I'm not sure what to make of that. Could very well be a civvie vouching for another civvie. But couldn't it also be a bold mafia move? One teammates sees another teammate taking heat and decides to make a preemptive move to protect that teammate? I'm torn on this to be honest.

And Finnian is just confusing the heck out of me. Pointedly not voting in lynches, but continues to vote in night polls....why do that? Unless they don't have an active night power and can afford to not vote. But that still doesn't seem like civvie behavior to me.

1

Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:
I agree with Shand on this also. If we are going to look at players who are missing alot of the game, we would have to include Grutfud and Lyle, and I'm not sure who else. Although, a player who did have a nightkill and lost it due to not voting, might try to appear absent for a few days, and then reappear with an excuse of having had some sort of problem to deal with. Especially since someone, Rhinfrew, I think, pointed out the idea of the no vote/no nightpower. Does this sound logical?

I'm hoping a few people will reread some of Carmen's posts made during the evenings, and discuss whether they redeem her or not.

4

Shand Azureye wrote:This response doesn't sit well with me. You seriously don't see why you consistently missing the polls would raise more than a few eyebrows? A busy townie would at least acknowledge that their lack of activity is hurting the town, and would do everything possible to assure the town of future participation. I was all for giving you BoTD today, but I can see why most people are not satisfied with an indifference that is sounding less and less townie as time passes.

9

Izett Cruelsinger wrote:Some of Finnian's recent posts have honestly seemed flippant to me. And obviously, Finnian has time to be here, read posts and at least reply briefly... so why not at least try to contribute something? I really had not been seeing the case on him/her up till now, I don't like to use "inactivity" as a case this early in the game. However I do find it odd that a player can be here, keep up with reading, and post excuses or posts that seem to antagonize... but not post anything else.

I mean, I don't have any huge, major insights either, but at least I can contribute what I notice about people. It may or may not mean anything, but I can share what I see and then other players can see if it makes sense to them too. So Finnian (as of today) is beginning to crick my brow.

3

Etain Royalskull wrote:Except he wouldn't know you were a "civvie" he would just know you were not on his team, per your theory that about 10 other people have already posited. Sorry, something about the way you "defend" just don't ring true with me.

8.

Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:
Yeah Carmen can't be the word, it's a proper name.

And I was feeling really good about our candidates until this post. I'm certainly a civ, and I have been reading Mainchin as very civ as well. This worries me that neither Carmen or Finnian is on Queran's (evil) team. That doesn't stop them from being SKs or on the other team though, so I guess it's ok.

All things considered, I'm still ok with choosing either of them, but could we please save a bunch of time and just lynch Queran? Are people really still reading our ongoing debate as civ-civ? I just don't see how it's possible, we've been at each other's throats now for going on 3 days. No one else sees his posts as un-genuine?

3

Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:
Maybe for the same reason someone chose to shut her up by having her speak Japanese. The only thing I noticed with regard to Carmen and Bac is Bac's the one who pointed out that it was interesting Carmen could figure out Fane (I think it was Fane) voted for someone at the wrong table when she Bac (and i venture the rest of us) was having trouble just figuring out which people she had to vote from.

*4

Eurolyvn Blissfulone wrote:At this point I would say I am prepared to vote for her again. But I will say this, the other people who were serious contenders for the last lynch should be considered this time around too, because if it does happen to be a frame up job, then most likely one of those others Is on team rumple. Those people would stand to benefit the most from framing Carmen.

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:Yes really- Day 1. Why? Because no Night period preceded it, which means it is the only poll we have where people could vote without their votes getting appropriated. I therefore think analyzing Day 1 is a good thing.

23

The consensus of the team is to dump all twelve votes on Mainchin Ironbeast.

Castle:

Dilan Bluemoss wrote:I suspect the castle won the poll, since the most people voted for it. The host post was a story having to do with castles. The Purple Sea Scribes have been combing the message for some sort of clue, but as yet have come up empty handed.

Bronwyn Mightyfeet wrote:I tried to follow some of the postings yesterday on my phone but I totally missed this post by Gobnait that tries to tie me and Queran together as bad and also makes a false statement about my question to Caillic about her vote. If i had seen it I would have responded. At this point, Queran has already pointed out the problems with Gobnaits post and the implications thereof so I'm going to confine my comment to the back and forth between us that he/she finds problematic.

I play these games to have fun. I thought Queran's post was funny with respect to the names he/she had made up so I replied in kind. We had a little fun. I have seen others having fun, I thought I would have a little bit too. That's all it was. I do not have bts with Queran and maybe Gobnait is new but to cook up something in bts about kidding around in the thread would be ridiculous. I also find it odd that Gobnait wouldn't also think the kidding around I was doing about finding wine at the castle was also an example of me and a teammate cooking up some kidding around to be taken to the thread. It seems the suspicion only exists when it's tied to Queran.

Rhinfrew Flowingrass wrote:I'm still itching to know about the woods / grandma's house / castle thing.

And Grandma's kind of mean. She uses a yardstick. :sigh:

That's three votes. We would like those three votes transferred to Dilan Bluemoss.

Rumple - Note: This was when we had the wonky day night numbering confusion. To make up for the fact that the other teams got to kill consecuitvely, we allowed the this team to have 2 nks this night. Unfortunately for them they picked Anchorite (who can't be NKed) and Shand (who had a gifted Night Protect from Daisy's Day 1 prize) Word = "backwards"
Wolife - checks Izznet for RHH - fail because of power stolen - Orangesprite is not RRH.

Wicked Stepsister (WSS) dead checks Rhinfew - he's a big bad baddie.

N8 - really a rather interesting night tbh...

Bluebeard offers protect key to Orangesprite - it's accepted.
Mother Hulda blocks orangsprite and follows fane. block is not allowed as Orangesprite is protected by bluebeard's key.
Shoemaker - sends message to Diedre - steals carmen's power - the word that day is "quiet"

rumple - word of the day was "looking" - but stolen from the shoemaker - so the word is "quiet"

ww - kill miyuki - fail because of prize NK protect.

Snow white - kill Fane - fail - Lyle dies as WSS for WSM.

N9

Mother Hulda - block fane - follow izznet - power stolen by the shoemaker
shoemaker - follows shand protects self.

WSS - dead checks browyn - results = tom thumb.

N10 -

Hanzel (Izznet) - targeted for NK - but instarezzed due to prize won N9.
Shoemaker - steal's fane's power - may stop the lynch Day 11 only if she desires.

WW - targets Izznet - fail due to N9 prize.
WSS - dead checks ameerah results - rapunzel.

snow white - kill anchorite - fail as she is WW.

These are all I have in the SS as of right now. I know rox ran the game a few days - while I wasn't able to be around. I have all the PM's and construct the rest of the game but it will take me a bit of time to do it.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 11

A witch was afraid of her three sons. She turned the oldest into an eagle and the second into a whale, and each could take his human form for only two hours a day. The youngest fled before he could suffer the same and went off to seek the king's daughter, bewitched and held prisoner in the Castle of the Golden Sun. He saw two giants quarreling over a wishing cap, and they asked him to settle the dispute. He put on the cap, forgot he had it on, and wished himself to the castle.

The king's daughter told him that only a crystal ball would break the enchantment. She directed him to go down the mountain and fight a wild bull beside a spring. If he killed it, a bird would spring out of it. If the bird was forced to let free an egg in its body, the crystal ball was its yolk, but the egg would light everything about it on fire if dropped on the land.

He fought the bull. The bird sprung free, but his brother the eagle harried it until it dropped the egg. This landed on a fisherman's hut, setting it ablaze, but his brother the whale drowned the hut with waves. The youngest brother took the crystal ball to the enchanter, who admitted himself defeated and told him that the ball would also break the spell on his brothers. The youngest hurried to the princess, and they exchanged rings.

This is a debate I will take till the cows come home. Yoko didn't break up The Beatles. The Beatles broke up The Beatles. To give that kind of power to Yoko both over estimates her reach and under estimates theirs. :noble:

John was not some fool who was bewitched. He was a flawed man who found a woman who loved him flaws and all. The band would have broken up when it did with or without her. (see wot I did dere?) I find it ironic that NOBODY ever says Linda broke up the band. Maybe when Paul married her - that's when he got delusions of grandeur - Maybe that's why he was the first of them to put out a solo album? Because his ever loving wife said "You're better than this...."

No - Paul and Linda are the love story of The Beatles' Mythology and it's all that "awful Yoko's fault" It's poppycock I say.
John was never lead by anyone. He treated Yoko just as crappily as he treated everyone. He tried a bit harder with her and Sean at least he was more repentant when he hurt them than he was with Cynthia and Jullian. But it doesn't mean she is a witch woman who blinded him. It just means that right then he *finally* started to grow up some. And it's unfortunate that her vocal stylings are not popular with Americans. (I admit - I'm not the biggest fan ever of her vocal stylings - but I won't give her the "you broke up the Beatles" medal just because I don't think she can carry a tune ;) ) /rant

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 9

Game on! :yay: :yay: :daisy:

A peasant begged some land from the king. When he and his daughter dug the field, they found a mortar made of gold. The daughter warned that if they gave it to the king for his kindness, he would ask for the pestle as well; the father gave it nonetheless, and the king asked for the pestle and put him in prison until he got it. The peasant lamented his folly in not listening to his daughter. The king had him brought before him again, and asked what he meant. The peasant explained.

The king summoned the daughter and set her riddle: to come to him neither naked nor clothed, neither walking nor riding, neither on the road nor off it. If she guessed it, she had proved her cleverness and would marry him. She wrapped herself in a fish net, and tied it to a donkey's tail so that it had to drag her along, and she kept only one toe touching the ground. The king agreed that she had guessed the riddle; he freed her father and married her.

Some years later, a mare gave birth to a foal that ran off and lay down under an ox. Both the peasant who owned the mare and the one who owned the ox claimed it; the king said it belonged where it was found. The peasant who owned the mare went to the queen for help. She told him to take a fishing net and pretend to fish on dry land where the king would see; when the king said it was impossible, he was to say it was no more impossible than oxen giving birth to foals. The peasant did so, and the king gave him the foal but got from him that the queen had given him the advice. He sent the queen back to her father, saying she could take only one thing, what she valued most, from the castle. The queen gave him a sleeping draught and took him back to her father's house. When he woke, she told him that he was what she valued most in the castle; he took her back with him to the castle and once again recognized her as his wife.

No one has died!
It is now Day 10.

Wait? Wot? I didn't know it was Illy's closet we chose!! :D ;)

I'm going to jump ahead of things here. I have my "day shift" schedule till Thursday. So, yes tomorrow, when the Night is supposed to end, I'll still be at work. Leaving all of this, yet again, in Rox's lap. :(

THAT SAID - I'm going to preemptively say here, that should something happen and for some reason Rox can't make the post. I am due to get off work at roughly 7:30 pm est, I shouldn't get out *too* much later than that if I have to stay over, I would be able to get the post up then and hopefully a nice mod would be around roughly that time to get the poll made for me. If there was no mod around to do it - I'm sure we would be fine with you just bolding your votes in the thread until a poll could be posted.
The time difference would not be so aweful as it was last night so we could shave things back here and there to keep it all on track. That is - of course - if Rox can't do the post tomorrow. As of right now, I've not heard differently, but I did want you all to know that I had plans in the works if something did happen. (Can you tell I don't like be caught off guard?) Thank you so much everyone for your patience with us! :D Have some more :wine: It makes everything better! :srsnod:

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 7

A poor man has twelve children, and works just hard enough to feed each of them every day. When his thirteenth child is born, the man decides to find a godfather for this child. He runs out into the highway, and finds God walking on the highway. God asks to be the godfather, promising the child health and happiness. The man, after finding out that the man is God, declines, saying that God condones poverty. Then the man meets the Devil on the highway. The Devil asks to be the godfather, offering the child gold and the world's joys. The man, after finding out that the man is the Devil, declines, saying that the Devil deceives mankind.

The man, still walking down the highway, meets Death. The man decides to make Death the child's godfather, saying that Death takes away the rich and the poor, without discrimination. The next Sunday, Death becomes the child's godfather.

When the boy comes of age, Death appears to him and leads him into the woods, where special herbs grow. There, the boy is promised that Death will make him a famous physician. It is explained that, whenever the boy visits an ill person, Death will appear next to the sick person. If Death stands at the persons head, that person is to be given the special herb found in the forest, and cured. But, if Death appears at the persons feet, any treatment on them would be useless, as they would soon die.

The boy soon becomes famous, just as Death has foreseen, and receives plenty of gold for his amazing ability to see whether a person would live or die. Soon, the king of all the lands becomes ill, and sends for the famous physician.

When the physician goes to see the king, he notices immediately that Death is standing at the foot of the bed. The physician feels pity for the king, and decides to trick Death. The physician then turns the king in his bed so that Death stands over the head. He then gives the king the herb to eat. This heals the king and speeds his recovery.

Soon after, Death approaches the physician, expressing his anger for tricking him and disobeying Death's rules. But because the physician is Death's godchild, he does not punish him. Death then warns the physician that if he was to ever trick Death again, he will take the physician's life.

Not much later, the king's daughter becomes ill and the physician goes to see her as well. The king promises his daughter's hand in marriage and the inheritance of the crown if the physician cures her. When the physician visits the princess, he sees Death at her feet. Ignoring this, he is captivated by the princess's beauty and thoughts of being her husband. The physician then turns the princess so that Death is at her head. He then feeds her the herb.

Just as the princess is coming around, Death grasps the physician by the arm and drags him to an underground cavern. In this cave are thousands upon thousands of candles, each burned down to different lengths. Death explains that the length of each candle shows how much longer a person has to live. When Death shows the physician his candle, the latter notices that it is very short, showing that the physician doesn't have much longer to live.

The physician pleads with his godfather to light a new candle for him, so that he may live a happy life as king and husband to the beautiful princess. Death reconsiders, and gathers a new candle to relight the flame of his godchild.

Just as he is about to light the new candle, Death takes his revenge on the physician by letting the flame of the first candle fall. As soon as the candle is extinguished, the physician falls dead to the ground.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 6

Thumbling sets out into the world to seek his fortune. Before his departure, he is given a darning needle sword by his father and a final meal by his mother. The steam from the cooking pot carries Thumbling up the chimney and away from home. The little man goes to the house of a master craftsman, seeking to apprentice with him, but is displeased by the food there. He taunts the mistress of the house, who proceeds to chase him about the tabletop with a dishcloth seeking to strike or catch him like an insect. She eventually drives him from the house.

In the forest, Thumbling is found by a band of robbers, who recruit him help them rob the king's treasure chamber. Sneaking past the sentries, Thumbling begins to toss coins from the chamber window to the robbers. This perplexes the king and guards, as they cannot find the hidden thief but are certain they are being robbed. Thumbling mocks them as they chase the invisible intruder about the treasure chamber. He eventually rides down with the last of the coins and escapes. The robbers offer to make him their captain but he declines.

Thumbling next hires himself out as a servant at an inn but quickly annoys the maids, for he secretly watches them and reports back to the innkeeper when they steal from the food cellar. To get revenge, a maid mows him up with a patch of grass and feeds it to the cows. Thumbling is (once again) devoured by a cow and befuddles the innkeeper when his voice emanates from within it. The cow is slaughtered and though Thumbling tries to escape from its innards, he ends up being cooked into a black pudding with the meat. The pudding is eventually cut into slices by the mistress of the house and Thumbling once again barely escapes with his life.

Resuming his journey, Thumbling is next snapped up by a fox in the woods but manages to get himself caught in its craw. Thumbling convinces the fox to release him and rides the animal back to his father's house, done exploring the world. His father is so pleased to see him, he allows the fox to eat the chickens in the henhouse, for "he would surely love his child more than the fowls in the yard." Unfortunately the fox also ate little Browyn Mightyfeet. He was Tom Thumb.

Thank you so much for playing Browyn.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 6

Cat and Mouse:

A cat and a mouse, contrary to the custom of their kinds, become friends, such good friends that they decide to share a home. That they might have something to fall back on in time of need, they buy a pot of fat and hide it away in a nook of a church for safekeeping. After a short time, the cat tells her housemate that one of her relations has given birth and that the mouse's friend has been asked to be godmother. Instead of going to a christening, though, the cat goes to the nook of the church and eats the top layer of the fat in the pot. When the cat returns home, the mouse asks the name of the kitten. The cat replies, "Top-off." The mouse remarks that she has never heard such a name.

Soon thereafter, the cat announces that she again has been invited to a christening. On the cat's return, the mouse asks what name was given to this kitten. "Half-gone," answers the cat. Again the mouse wonders aloud at the oddness of the name.

The cat goes a third time to the church, this time finishing off the fat. When the cat returns, the mouse asks the name given at this christening. "All-gone," answers the cat. Again the mouse shakes her head.

Winter arrives, and with it the lean times the friends had anticipated. The mouse proposes a trip to the church to retrieve the provisions stored there. When she beholds the empty pot, enlightenment dawns on the mouse: "First 'Top-off,' " she murmurs, "then 'Half-gone,' and then ..." The cat warns her to say no more, but the mouse persists. The cat pounces on the mouse and eats her up. "And that is the way of the world," the story closes.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 6

Attention all players:

My initial post saying I'd to the NP when I got home was panic driven, I got rox's message about her power literally (and like in the true sense of the word, not the exaggerated usage) while I was pulling into the parking lot to work. I didn't get to read the thread, didn't get to do anything, but text her "I'll take care of it when I get home. Just get that posted then save your phone power." When I posted, I'd not checked anything but didn't know if you guys knew about what was up and wanted to let you know I was as on top of it as I could be as well. Hence my flyby at work frantic post. (BTW - using the full editor on my phone was a PITA. I need a tablet for mafia on the go, I apparently need a bluetooth for work...technology is funny.)

After much thinking tonight while I was working, I have decided to extend the night till 5 pm EST Friday.

While I could go ahead and slap up the night post now, it would throw all of our times off and we'd have to have an extended day or something and it would all go to pot basically trying to play catch-up. (Also - it occurred to me that Rox is the only one of us who can make the lynch poll.) Seems to me the more I think about it that the easiest way to make up for this is by just holding the night post till tomorrow.

I promise I will be super promt as I will prep as much as I possibly can tonight and wake up hecka early tomorrow. Hopefully Rox's power is back on tomorrow and she'll make the poll as normal, if not, I'll see if Sockadelic can step in and make the poll for me. :) (Sockadelic is btw my fav nick-name for him!)

I'm so very sorry to disappoint anyone who was hoping to wake up to a night post.

Rox and I both thank you all so VERY much for your patience with us. Stoopid storm and stoopid work should be WAY more understanding of our mafia needs TBQFH. :noble:

In the meantime - here is some :wine: for you all. I hopped over to the HV Zombie bar, went down to my secret cellar, and grabbed a few bottles of my very very rare and very very only on the most special occasions used bottles of my Zombie Zin (With special thanks to SVS who helped me stock up that supply ;) )

Enjoy my very patient and awesome players!

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 4

A king owns an apple tree, and whoever picked an apple from it he would wish underground. His three daughters looked to see if any fell, and after a time the youngest said that their father loved them too much for that. When they ate, they sank underground. The king offered them to whoever saved them.

Three huntsmen set out. They found a castle with no one in it but food set out, so they watched and then ate, and agree that they would draw lots; one would stay and the other two would search. The eldest stayed, and a mannikin begged for bread. When the man gave him some, the mannikin dropped it and asked it to give him it again. He refused and the mannikin beat him. The same thing happened to the second huntsman. When the third one stayed, he did take up the bread, but refused after the mannikin dropped it again and beat him. The mannikin got him to stop by promising to show him how to get the king's daughters again. He showed him a deep well without water, warned that his companions would betray him and so he had to go alone, and vanished. The third told the other two, and they went to the well. The eldest and next both tried to be lowered, but panicked; the youngest went down and found the king's daughters being held captive, one by a dragon with nine heads, one by one with five, one by one with four. He killed the dragons and had the king's daughters lifted in the basket. Then he put in a rock; his brothers cut the rope and took the princesses back to the king.

The youngest found a flute. Playing it conjured up elves, who brought him to the surface. The princesses told the truth, and the older brothers were hanged, but the youngest son married the youngest princess.

A big huge super THANK YOU to my lovely co-host Mistress Rox of the Awesome Rocks. I'm SO sorry I've been so MIA. You did beautifully. I promise to pull my weight the next couple days.

As to the rest of you, I missed you too. :p

Na, really. I'm sorry I haven't been around. I just worked 34 hours in 3 days. It was SUPPOSED to be so I could gloriously have thursday-sunday OFF. Like as in not working. Like as in. OMG - I actually get a break. But the bigger boss put the ixney on that even as my GM told him "even the workhorse needs a sugar cube once in a while." the big boss replies "thrus fri and sunday are good enough sugar cubes." I would argue that NO that is not the case as the 4 days in their entirety were the cube itself and it's now sullied by having to go help out yet again at another store yet again for yet another AM who left me to hang and dry when I was pulling 70 hour weeks and turnarounds into open closes with no GM and no help to be found.I will give something nice to the first person who correctly identifies how many drinks I've had tonight to blow off steam via PM. So, yea - the long and short of it is, I missed you all so very much. I adore this game, I adore my co-host and all of you players have been rocking my world. Srrsly, you can't imagine how much I look forward to coming home and catching up on what's going on.

A wolf and fox are living together where the fox, being the weaker of the two, is forced to do all the hard work for the wolf. One day the wolf makes the fox get him something to eat, and the fox says he knows where there are a couple of lambs. The fox steals a lamb for the wolf, but not content with just one, the wolf goes back for the other, is caught by the farmer's men, and severely beaten.

The next day the wolf again makes the fox get him some food. The fox says he knows of a farm where a woman is baking pancakes, and steals some for the wolf. Wanting more, the wolf goes to the farm on his own, but causes a commotion, getting the woman's attention, and is again severely beaten.

Some time later the wolf again makes the fox get food. The fox says he knows of a farmer's cellar where meat is being stored, and leads the wolf to the cellar. The wolf gobbles up the meat while the fox also takes some but keeps checking to make sure he can still get out the way he came in. The fox's constant scurrying gets the attention of the farmer, who goes to investigate. The fox is able to escape, but the wolf has eaten so much that he can't get out, and is eventually caught and killed by the farmer.

Two king's sons went out to seek their fortune, but fell into disorderly ways. The youngest, Simpleton, went out to find them, but they mocked him. They traveled on, and Simpleton prevented his brothers from destroying an ant hill, killing some ducks, and suffocating a bee hive with smoke. Then they came to a castle with stone horses in the stable, and no sign of anyone. They hunted through the castle and found a room with a little gray man, who showed them to dinner. In the morning, he showed the oldest son a stone table, on which were written three tasks. Whoever performed them would free the castle.

The first was to collect the princess's 10 thousand pearls, scattered in the woods. Whoever tried and failed would be turned to stone. The older brothers tried and failed. For the youngest, however, the ants collected the pearls. The second was to fetch the key to the princess's bedchamber from the lake, which the ducks did for him. The third was to pick out the youngest princess from the three sleeping princesses; they looked exactly alike, and the only difference was that the oldest had eaten a bit of sugar before they slept, the second a little syrup, and the youngest some honey. The queen bee picked out the youngest.

This woke the castle, and restored all those who had been turned to stone. The youngest son married the youngest princess, and his two brothers, the other princesses.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 0

There was a maginficent banquet full of plentiful food and libatious libations. There were also charger plates and pretty napkins and very tasteful centerpieces. Everyone had a fantastic time getting to know one another but there was still a small tickle in the back of many people's brains that some of their fellow guests were up to no good. As the party was winding down, the hosts made an announcement. "We have invited people to help us capture the evoldoers in this land, but we have also invited the known evoldoers as well to make our hunting a little easier. As such, it is your responsibility to find them. Do what you must to make sure that each day the right person comes to justice."
