Thanks so much! In college, I volunteered at the local Radio Reading Service, where you read newspapers on the air to the blind and visually impaired. I did well at that, so they let me record a book to be aired (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). It took a year to record.

Luckily, I had success with that, so I got a job at the local NPR affiliate, announcing classical music and giving traffic and weather reports. Yay!

Also - you worked for NPR? Omg sooo jealous!!! I want to listen to you in the car every day!!! (Really - in the 2 years I've lived out here - my car radio has moved from NPR exactly 2 times. Both were because bad weather knocked out the NPR tower for a few hours.)

@ svs - I still here just the faintest hint of brooklyn - but then, I always hear it when I talk to you. Sometimes it's loud and in charge - and sometimes it's just under the surface. I like both SVS's tbh. Both of them are all New York - and all wonderful

also @ indi - I would love to - but I have no mic. - I'm still trying to sort through thousands of picts to find one of me that I can post here and on rm. (though no pict of me will have a guitar and I fear that it'll be only half a pict without my guitar. That I don't have anymore. And I never really did learn to play when I had it - and everyone guest in my house who *did* play guitar hated trying to play it cuz it would never stay in tune...) I half wanna just find one of the ones I liked on HV and link it - but I know other picts have happened that I don't hate and the rest of you haven't seen. Just takes me time to get my pc stuffs up to par.

fair enough socky. tonight I've settled with cheep wine and some family guy right now. (at least till I get done on the pc and can watch tv I like. He's watching family guy cuz I won't let him watch the new stuff w/o him. )

True story! He was born in Ohio after all! And northern Kentucky might as well be part of Ohio as far as I can tell.

born in ohio seals the deal - in fact - I think I tole him ages ago he was an honorary buckeye for that alone. That said, we'd take northern Kentucky before West By-God any day for sure!

This is such a neat idea! OMG DP - I never would have imagined you sounding like that! IDK what I imagined you sounding ilke....it's just different I guess. It's cool how it helps complete the mental picture I have of you though.

I will most likely not be posting what I sound like however. I'm not really a super fan of my voice.
