Time stamps say all here. TSP KNEW what Nook was asking, had digested it enough to look at DoO's iso, and a few minutes afterwards trying to take 3 HOURS out of the game for people to do things such as "figure out win conditions" (i.e. turn town against town).

It was 3 hours, not a minute, and it was shortly after Nook came into the thread asking about DoO. I concede that It was before Nook actually claimed mech info, but if you gave Nook an invention N1, you would assume Nook used it N2, so with Nook coming into the thread asking info about what DoO claimed... I have a hard time thinking that town!you asks the thread to take a 3 hour pause to think about roles, alignments and abilities.

perhaps i knew that nanook probably had mech info on made because i had provided him with the proper accoutrements and perhaps I knew chop was a wolf because he was the most wolfy human being who has ever stepped foot into a mafia thread
Perhaps, but I think for at least the first few hours of the day that Nook claims mech, we should probably NOT focus on that, and instead revisit roles, and alignments, make sure that town is targeting town, and all those other good things.

Or should we not spend a few hours looking that over... when the person that you should know has mech info... outs mech info?

i was reading day 3 back just now and I got slightly worried that urist has been pocketing me for half the game but I'm not all that worried
If TSP was town right now, he would have mentioned that he was worried that I (someone he should see as outed scum) might outplay him and get Urist to vote him. TSP is viewing the game with TMI on me (any town player's first concern in this situation would be their biggest scumread (me) convincing the other person they are correct, not that their scumread might be wrong (this could be a secondary concern, but not their first concern)).

depends on how on top of it the wolves are. my general feel is the answer to that question is "not very"
why's that?
Just a general thread feel. There have been multiple botched info moments where it seems likely that a wolf was involved -- this being one of them, the chop situation yesterday, just the fact that it feels like no one in the game has read the setup.
TSP just erupting with TMI.
This is prior to 1st wolf flip btw. TSP already seems to know that the wolves are not on top of things in wolf chat. Very strange considering.

This was TSP's entrance into D3, shortly after Nook started heavily pressuring DoO, the same Nook that TSP apparently now claims had an invention. Why is TSP trying to SLOW DOWN the thread here when TSP SHOULD know that Nook has an invention saying DoO is bad?

(Also, PSA, if Nook claims info right away, it is probably fake to get reactions. Occasionally not, but usually if he has REAL info, he waits a bit to see what else goes on instead of first-post-of-the-day claiming info)

Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 11]

I just got to the part of the story where DoO claims Westin.

My earlier comment about TSP having an inventor claim still stands! Why?

What are the chances that scum burns TWO fakeclaims on their first outed wolf? (DoO/Made) ... and that THOSE TWO CLAIMS ARE BOTH NCR?

DoO claimed Westin, Made eventually reneged on that claim, but still claimed a NCR role, which "conveniently" happened to be one which would pass many of the cop checks in this game. Scum guessed that Zeke wasn't present (Made's slot was going down anyways, claiming Zeke only has positive value for scum there).

TSP's inventor claim is the REAL fakeclaim provided to Jack. No way Zeke was truly a fakeclaim given to scum, given the circumstances around DoO's Westin claim and Made's backpedalling Zeke claim.

He was JJJ, claiming Alison was slaver or something.

Before it, Grogu was claiming Falcon was scum due to something mech.
What's that mean for Alison and Grogu?

Or have we not covered that yet?
Alison, we’re back to square one. Not worth poking the beehive. We don’t know if Falcon actually had anything on Alison so it’s hard to say. Grogu is probably town, the whole thing seemed reasonably executed.

Which literally is basically just Canada. I lived in Canada for a year, and the only things I found different were that they said "aboat" (not aboot, even though there are places from Canada that say it that way), and they pronounce the word "process" differently depending on if it is a noun or a verb. Oh, and lots of extra u's and the word "cheque", which was clearly designed to be deliberatively excessive. I also found out that their "niceness" is just veiled passive-aggressiveness that Americans don't pick up on, but otherwise the country is pretty awesome... except if you look at their historical treatment of indigenous peoples... :/ But as an American, I really can't judge.

Noo, this inventor stuff is just a sham. Marmot caught you, and you wiggled out. Your fakeclaim is not Marge.

Grogu had an inventor handing him inventions, didn't he?

Most of the wolf fakeclaims MAKE SENSE for them, like the BoS messenger and the wolf messenger.

Tony's claim is that the last wolf must be a tracker, but if that was the case, the tracker's fakeclaim would have to be Marmot.

Wolves have an inventor though, and you know what role is perfect cover for an inventor? An inventor.

Everything is in the setup, all the information is there. There are clear fakeclaim pairs for pretty much everyone in Enclave, VC, and slaver, JUST LIKE JJJ designed it!

The wolves talked about inventors multiple times. They knew one existed. Grogu used inventions almost assuredly. Neither Nook nor Sloonei made indications that they used inventions. Why wouldn't they hint if it meant possibly clearing someone?
bad news, jack flipped inventor. and he didn't claim my role. because I had it.
So he did. Sorry, my last few days IRL was very hectic, and when I realized this game was ongoing yesterday(gameday), I just voted sleep, and didn't follow much (I mean, I read the posts, but I didn't really think at all about the game, or apparently even look at what Jack flipped...).

Honestly think this looks even worse for you though, since Jack's fakeclaim SHOULD have been your role. You switched fakeclaims. Not all of them line up, but the fact that Chop fakeclaimed the role he did, the fact that Alison fakeclaimed the role she did, and things like the Redding doc being clear cover for the other slaver role really point to roles being matched up.
the wolf team already fakeclaimed an inventor
Can you elaborate? I'm guessing you're right since you wouldn't claim this right now if not, but I am a rep in, so please fill me in.
They claimed... Zeke? Was it?
I'm guessing "they" is Made/DoO?

Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 11]

TSP, weird question...

Earlier when you posted Marmot's NK data, in your analysis you labeled the possibility that scum shooting Alison as unlikely, but you didn't label the possibility of scum intentially blocking their own shot as unlikely... chasing a bit of a tinfoil here, but is that like... something that people do? I am relatively new to mafia (probably about 15 games or so), so idk if that is like a known strategy or not.

If sean's NK'd, I'll just reevaluate tomorrow.

Music, math, philosophy. Sometimes international political economy on the side.
Cool, I'm a mathematician (on the art side of mathematics, not the science side), and philosophy was always one of those things that I could have seen myself doing, if it wasn't for math.
it's all the art side
