So the maples formed a union

Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law

I didn't PM DH because I didn't plan to make a deal with him, because I was a fool to think we had an understanding in Survivor, and died the death of a buffoon because of it.

I did PM a couple of other folks, with basically the same offer. But those offers are not really valid anymore, because it's not a LMS game. I do like Dizzy's friendly attitude about it though. I guess I'll refrain from voting Dizzy for the first five days. (Although my offer was more like "until we're in the Final Five"... a concept that isn't the same in a regular Mafia game).
That makes things very easy for me.

You need to describe it if you want to work together with people. If you don't want that that's your choice. But you leave a lot to be desired for me to understand where you are coming from.

---

I will ask everyone: What do you all think about what you gather Epi's theory is?
If I want to work together with people? I thought this was LMS.

Oh wait. No I didn't. Heh. :shifty:

Look, I get people lynched for less than this. I make a good point, and people come in and go, "Epi makes a great point" and they vote. It's how it goes. I don't have to describe anything in this scenario, because I think people are just hoping to survive for a while.

Look! You already have two votes. More than anybody else.

If you must have something from me, here's this: I don't buy LC publicly affirming his deal with you while privately offering it to me (for a second time, this time saying that no one has to know about it). I flat out told him my opinion of him depended on your alignment. I am not making deals with devils who have too many hooves in the cookie jar. LC tried to get me in a deal with not voting for him, and that's fine if he believes this is a last man standing game, which I hope it is not, because those are not fucking Mafia games, and they should stop calling them Mafia, but my role gives me the slim hope that there are mafia to find, and I'm not interested in making vague deals with people, especially if those people make them with everybody and their brother and then everybody again behind the brother's back.

Jeez, you're impossible. I said that the deals were not valid because it's not LMS, and you spout some ominous shit at me. So I PM you and say "Hey fine, if you're upset, then we can have a deal. I didn't mean anything by it." Then you come in here and just throw it in my face like I'm trying to fucking do some double-dealing shit.

I don't know what alignment Dyslexicon is, obviously I can't win by voting for her though. If she's Civ, I helped lynch a Civ. If she's bad, then Epi leads the mislynch on LC. Great setup already.

You think I'm the one with a hoof in the cookie jar? You agreed to the original deal despite knowing it isn't Last Man Standing... and now you come in here and preach and huff about how you're "not interested in making vague deals with people". :disappoint:

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 1}

My thing here, LC, is that you make these deals, but you can't honor them. Already Dys has two votes and you have one, but you won't vote to save yourself, I imagine (although I think you would).

My point is this: You two advertised early that you have a deal between you. If this is an LMS game, then I have a motive to break up that public deal.

If this is an actual Mafia game, then I have a motive to break up that deal (given my previously stated suspicions).

No, I don't. That's why I'm asking.

Here's the thing based on what you've said:
- I take it that you assumed LC to know that he was anti-town.
- With this information LC chose to go into the thread claiming this was an LMS game.

My reaction to this is, why the hell would LC go into the thread claiming such a thing that would obviously draw attention if he didn't believe it to be the case?

I think there's very little chance that LC was lying about not knowing his role. I think he assumed this to actually be an LMS game, what would be the benefit of claiming it otherwise? Unless it was some sort of weird instigator/reaction fishing (which honestly I could see myself doing because lol).

This, however, does not say much about what role LC actually is after checking it. It just says to me that he thought it was LMS and was mistaken.

What I'm getting from you is that I have a very hard time understanding your thought process here. You seem to think LC basically willingly gave himself away as anti-town at the start of the game. This somehow makes you vote for me, and you claim this to be for reactions. You also seem evasive in my questioning.

If you are town, where am I mistaken in my reasoning?
I love defending civilians when I'm bad. It grants so much mileage.

Re: Blue Velvet Mafia {DAY 1}

So there are a few revelations here.

First, Long Con has posted the PM he sent me and then voted for me when I didn't vote for him. That proves that he is not trustworthy (as thought we need any confirmation of that).

Second, Dyslexicon followed DH's vote against nutella quickly, and then, when LC made a move against me, joined his vote. Dyslexicon doesn't give me the impression of effort toward finding mafia. Neither does LC. He voted for me because I'm apparently a hypocrite (who still hasn't voted for him). I think he got spooked that I was going to come after him. And as for the being a hypocrite part, I criticized people making deals with a truck ton of people, not making deals in general. And frankly I don't give a shit if I'm a hypocrite. I do as I please.

Third, Dyslexicon just witnessed Long Con's vote for me and apparently there's something between them now. I maintain there was something between them all along.

Fourth, the new Power Rangers movie was ass garbage.

What the hell are you even accepting a deal like that for, in a regular Mafia game? At least I have an excuse. You knew it was regular Mafia all along, and you still accepted the deal.
Ah, you caught me on a typo. Goodie for you.

Look at those adverbs though.

YOU DIRECTLY AND INTENTIONALLY BETRAYED MY TRUST

Who are you? M. Bison? A villain from a Steven Segal movie?

It's cute.

Your "trust" meant nothing when I realized you had peppered your "deal" to every bitch up in here. You aren't sincere. You were looking to get as many people as possible to not vote you until a certain point in time. That, to me, suggests a motive.

How do I know it's a "regular Mafia game?" It's INH we're talking about. He threatens us with phase one. I don't know any of that shit. I just know what my role says, and my role suggests hope that this is a Mafia game. And if it is, having you not vote for me is beneficial to me regardless, isn't it?

But you voted for me. So you are untrustworthy.

Dyslexicon wrote: Wed Jun 14, 2017 11:27 pm I need to go to bed.

Before I do, I need to get this off my chest: Epi, if you happen to care about what alignment I am - If you try to fit me in the form of what YOU think is logical to do as a player you will fail to understand how I play and therefore fail to read me. When I left the thread you had thsi accusation that I should've waited for Nut to respond (I'm assuming that's what you're picking at) because I said I wanted to see what happen. I DID want to see what happened (the reason I chose Nut was because then she would be the biggest wagon which might've been fun), and then I wanted to see what happened when I voted you instead. I have many many many town games where I'll change my vote within minutes (and probably seconds) because I just change my mind or have many ideas/directions I want to go. This may not be the way YOU think or approach the game, but if you're trying to find a straight line in my play on D1 you will fail. I'm actually way more "consistent" when I'm mafia, cause then I actually care about that stuff. I feel I've had this conversation before on this forum. If you happen to be town in this game, and we play in a later game and a similar situation appears, I will be sure to remind you of this time. Clearly we have very different approaches, cause I can't wrap my brain around how you would ever find that actually suspicious at all - much less call it a straight out lie. You're not inside my head. But you could try, and I'll try the opposite. So that's what I have to say about that.
If you are trying to claim your innocence by presenting me with a skeleton key regarding how you play when you're good and how you play when you're bad, as though you aren't capable of emulating the former in the latter situation, I'm sorry:

I have no opinion on dyslexicon at this time. I only have the opinion that LC is likely civ.
Everybody is "likely" civilian.

Unless INH made up something where there are more mafia than civilians and they only have open BTSC like everybody else.

Which would be kind of neat. :dark:

No.
Could you?

So... what does it mean to vote someone for protection? You think they're Civ? You just want them to make it further?

DharmaHelper and speedchuck voted for nutella to be protected last night. Contrast that to Sloonei's instant vote on nutella today. I'd like to hear you gentlemen talk that out a little.

G-Man and Long Con both voted DH for protection. I gave my reason, but I haven't looked back to remind myself of G-Man's. I want vote-order to be part of our polls again as well. I'd like to easily be able to see who voted for someone when it was clear S~V~S was winning, if that happened. You know, that kind of thing.

Sprityo self-voted. Kind of tragic.

Timmer, Spacedaisy, and Epignosis voted S~V~S, and Epi cast the "deciding" vote. Given that I think Epi is bad, I would say that makes S~V~S look a little better, because I don't see why a baddie would vote to protect a teammate in this situation. The situation being that baddies don't need protecting because they're the ones killing.

S~V~S, nutella, Llama, Rico, Sloonei all voted one-offs.

Ok, Sloonei, I have tried to set the stage for using this as a scum-hunting mechanism. Perhaps some of your ideas on that front will be easier to process no?
@Long Con, why do you think a baddie would be unlikely to vote for a teammate in the protection poll? If they're the ones performing the kill, it does not matter one way or the other who they vote to protect. They could theoretically choose to protect a teammate. There is very little risk with the potential for a reward (a town vigilante, perhaps, could attempt to fire on said teammate).

My thought process on this vote is that scum would generally be less careful with their votes. They know who they are killing, so it does not matter who they vote for. Players who gave no reason or frivolous reasons would be worth looking at. I know I gave no reason. I was away on sick person business for most of the night and realized about 15 minutes peior to the deadline that I had not cast a vote yet. Epi dies early in a lot of games and I had a slight inclination to town read him, so he was my first instinct. My vote didn't seem to matter much anyway.
I didn't think of this until now, but the optimal strategy for that poll would have been to tie it up. Assuming the protection would be randomly distributed, there would have been a slim chance that the mafia kill would have dudded.

I'm sorta tempted to vote for Rico because I'm pretty damn sick of the annoyingness, but Epi's pushing me to reconsider since I don't really think Rico necessarily looks like/is behaving like a baddie. Like, he could be "hiding behind" the singsong bullshit and the no-u pattern, but I don't have a particularly strong reason to think that. But the more he's getting pushed on it and remaining stubborn, the more I'm doubting his innocence... idk. WIFOM and all that jazz. If I can't make up my mind on Rico I might join DH in voting for G-Man -- the points there don't feel like much but it's more than I have on anyone else.

Does anybody honestly believe Ricochet is "hiding" behind his gimmick?

Every time someone suggests that, I roll my eyes.

I think he's doing what the hell he wants to do. It says nothing of his alignment to me. If you're lynching him because he's not playing the way you want him to, fine, but be honest about it. Don't act like he's bad because you don't like what he's doing.

Assuming Rico keeps this thing up: What could he do that would make you scumread him?
You're acting like Ricochet is failing to provide commentary in his posts. Commentary is there. I have agreed with some of the things he has said. So, to answer your question, he would have to do or say something I find suspicious. That hasn't occurred.

Long Con wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2017 1:12 am No, I'm asking you questions because all you're doing is accusing Dizzy and defending Rico, and laying low.
I'm not laying low. I've had other stuff to do, like finish a book for speedchuck and have nijuukyugou over and fix a friggin $10,000 air conditioning. It isn't like anything compelling is going on in here anyway.

Your question to me implies that someone's role changes when he or she gets replaced. It doesn't. Because it doesn't, my opinion of Dyslexicon (or anyone) won't change because of a pending replacement.

I don't think you think I'm bad. You're nibbling. You're not making any real effort of pursuit. You're not voting for me today. You're not trying to get other people to vote for me today. Your treatment of me reminds me of Mass Effect when a) you weren't a civilian, and b) you nibbled ("You got nervous"). You are manufacturing little things to come at me with. Civilians have no reason to do this. Mafia do. This time, I'm laying low.

Okay, let's say I am. I'm laying low.

When was the last time you saw me lay low when I was bad?
