Re: [DAY 0] Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3

I feel like I'm finally experiencing a part of my own culture that I've never been a part of. Let THE GAME begin.

Finally a full game.

How are we supposed to play this tho? From what I gather nothing we do at this stage will matter at all since we will probably be at different teams by endgame.

Plus is seems everyone is bad.
My assumption is that some big meta stuff goes on. There's going to be some times when some people want to be lynched. Where we start is not necessarily where we finish. Etc etc. Something to be remembered - I do not believe that any of us will end the game that we start with. At some point, the peer pressure to lynch or NK those people who haven't shifted roles yet will happen as they dwindle. So, at this point we might all be in the same boat as far as goals go - we want to get as much information out there as possible.

I don't have any idea either so I'm glad I'm not alone. Golden, it's early and I'm probably missing something big but how will we know who hasn't shifted positions? And why would those people be high on our list to lynch or night kill?
Because they haven't died yet (when you die you shift). And to the second... human nature. In a game where there's 100 roles to cycle through and only 21 people, someone staying alive in a single role will begin to stand out eventually.

Or there's actually 200 roles lol.

That's an interesting observation though. Given the teams are multiples I'm not sure how shaking them up would work exactly.

Oh yes of course, when you die you shift. Silly me, I shouldn't post so early. I agree someone who hasn't died will begin to stand out, I just don't know that it would make me more inclined to vote for them. Maybe as the game goes on and I understand the strategy better it will make more sense.
Let me put it another way then.

I think it benefits us to be clear up front that everyone should die at least once. It means no one will make a strategy based around their current team winning.

DDLs observation is good though. Some people may be on multiple teams at times, but it doesn't mean things will stay that way when 'phase two' happens. If phase two is "21 roles left", then there could be some faction realignment going on then anyway.

Second of all, why not go by posting, or rather not posting, start with lower posters and move up. Or go the other direction? Since it doesn't really eliminate anyone from the game at this point I mean. Or we could take volunteers, perhaps there are those that would rather shift roles sooner rather than later. Or someone has mentioned they would like to keep their role a little bit before shifting to a new one. Do we want to let them? I'm a little torn. I have an ability, not a secret one and I can't decide how helpful I think it might be. Meh, I don't know what the best strategy is here.
I can't figure out how helpful my role is either, although one thing is for certain, it isn't going to be helpful every single day, it probably could take a couple of days to warm up at best. So I'm sort of torn between getting some time in it to actually get to use it (it is a fun looking role, but low impact I think?) or else go early and just get something that could be more consistent.

The first quote suggests its a role where the person who targets Speedchuck is affected negatively. 13 isn't the only role that does that, but it's particularly extreme, and I also note that it was the first thing on speed's radar to say.

The third quote is psalm 13.

As of the first day, my plan is to vote either a lurker or someone who rubs me wrong - for days after that I'll probably participate in alliances with people who seem fun/cool/allianceable!
We aren't all necessarily trying to survive in our current form, however, at least at this early stage. I think this game morphs over time. One thing to be wary of is teams growing to big. At the moment, my guess is things are balanced, but one team could easily gain an advantage if they manage to grow and keep members alive. I don't think it's as simple as treating everyone the same and assuming there aren't going to be people who it's more in your interests to knock off.

Rico is not on my team, and his posting contributions are not as interesting, fun to read, or engage-able as everyone elses. I'm playing this particular game to have fun, and so I'm voting for the person with the least fun in their posts.

I don't need to cop out, though. There won't be any voter analysis in this game. There is no scum.
    No voter analysis?

The single biggest thing I'm watching for is a team building it's ranks and not voting for each other. We should all be scared of teams that get to five or six current people.
