I don't have any idea either so I'm glad I'm not alone. Golden, it's early and I'm probably missing something big but how will we know who hasn't shifted positions? And why would those people be high on our list to lynch or night kill?
Because they haven't died yet (when you die you shift). And to the second... human nature. In a game where there's 100 roles to cycle through and only 21 people, someone staying alive in a single role will begin to stand out eventually.

Re: [DAY 0] Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3

With the knowledge that we're all going to be getting new roles upon "death", I would suggest that it's beneficial to the eventual town team if we all state our roles/numbers right now, before anyone has died and gone unnumbered. The better we keep track of which numbers have been used up, the more footing we'll have later on.

But I'm not actually going to tell you what number I am because I don't know if I agree with a word I just said.

Re: [DAY 0] Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3

I am kind of envisioning the game eventually trickling down to a more-or-less standard Town vs. Scum mafia game, with one team in the majority trying to save themselves from a small minority team. I suppose this could go in any direction though. I assume 1 is being held for the end of the game by THE GAME.

Re: [DAY 0] Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3

I was not trying to imply that any team in this game is the designated GOOD or the designated BAD, but that eventually the numbers (heh) might shake out so that we are in a situation where the game might be functioning as a regular mafia game. Though I suppose every team having BTSC available to them makes that less likely to work out.

Follow the steps. Step A: Sacrifice a goat
Then go to step B: Massage your throat
Step C is simple: Cross over a moat.
Then take your vote and vote and vote and vote
Doesn't matter where it goes

I'm also gonna be here more moving forward. Signing up for two games at once is never a good idea for me and I ended up committing more to Street Fighter because it moved faster than this one. I'm dead there now, so all my energy can be focused here until we have to go look for Quin, at least.

I think the problem is that "they" is becoming common for unknown third person singular, but it still 'feels' plural. So in this context I would use "they", but because it feels plural a singular "themself" feels off even if it is perfectly unacceptable.

27

I disagree. I think it matters, the question is just sussing out how.

I've been wondering if there is any method to role redistribution after a player has died, or if it's all just randomized. It seems like it would he useful to figure that out.

And how do tou propose we do that?
Resurrected players could talk about their old and new roles and if there's any possible correlation.

colonialbob wrote: Tue Sep 05, 2017 3:31 pm I have a hypothesis that the biggest teams are going to appear more commonly early on, with the smaller teams showing up later. That said, we don't have a confirmed death from the primes (the biggest team), do we?

Why? Why not the opposite, with small teams early, followed by a bigger battle between evens and primes at the end?

So can I just keep spamming the thread every couple of minutes to save my own head? I'd rather not do that. How's the game going for you all?

didn't we all talk about ensuring that everyone dies at some point in the early going of this game? where do we stand on that strategy now?
