Good Morning! Long time no play.
No clue how to vote. I want to look and see if there was any crossover between the casts, they were all in the same general time frame as Buffy, maybe a bit earlier, if you count the House of Wax remake rather than the original. Yay for late poll end time, will have plenty of time after work.
@Nutella, what is suspicious about Googling?

Also while I like the linkback feature (makes it impossible for people to evade questions and pretend they never saw then, yes?) I kind of hate it since I edit ALOT so not 100% sure I am gonna use it.

I just walked in from work, and I was hoping someone else had done this so I would not have to lol.Tranq wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 3:57 pm Full Metal Jacket features Adam Baldwin, who played Marcus Hamilton in Buffy.
According to http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/Marcus_Hamilton, "Hamilton bears resemblance to Caleb, the evil priest/serial killer in Buffy's final season."
Caleb is one of the Independents.
The other poll options don't have any clear connections, or they may not be actor related. I'll have another look.
Based on this and the posts following it, WW having the best civvie connection makes sense, so voting Waynes World.
I have not watched Buffy in a looong time, might be time for a rewatch.

The best I can find is that Adam Baldwin, besides being in Full Metal Jacket, was also in Firefly (as I am sure we all know) with Nathan Fillion (Caleb). But I doubt that is of any use since Firefly is not an option. But that is a weird coincidence, in light of the wiki post you quoted.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 1)
On Zero, two things caught my eye, and one today.
First Nutella.
This was one of those thing that make you go "hmmm".
Then the acting like LoRab Googling something was somehow bad. THAT feels like kicking up dust around someone who is famous for a lackadaisical reaction to suspicion. " eye me all you want", again a safe suspicion that probably won't get a lot of blowback to point at later in the game.
THEN I went back and looked at the last game we played together where Nutella was bad, the HCR crossover, and her day one was totally different. So I am going to do what she did in her Faraday post and talk myself out of this for now, and give Nutella the BOTD since her HCR day one was so different and because I generally find her suspect. But still eyes on her. I would like to hear Jackohearts thoughts on her, he was her partner in the HCR game.
The second thing I noticed was, of course, sig and his extensive soliloquy about Spike. Followed by his vote.
I agree with Rabbit in that that really did feel like sig wasn't just speculating. I doubt that it was his own role, so perhaps he was advertising for Spike, and although sig generally has a very direct style, I am not sure I see him being that direct. I also don't see him doing that as a civ, so He gets mis-suspected a lot though (or at least he used to; is that still the case?). I look forward to hearing his thoughts on his vote for Mac.
With sig himself being the only person taking any real serious flak in thread, that jump out vote to Mac with no reason given, and no reason apparent, warrants an explanation from sig. Mac can be fairly volatile (from someone with this same quality) so tossing a random vote to him for no reason could lead to Mac taking over the thread. So yeah sig, please tell us why. If I was to vote for sig, his vote for mac would be why moreso than his Spike focus.
The third thing was Lapluie. Her most recent post,
So I am going to throw a pressure vote on LaPluie for now. I will be in and out pretty much all day.
First Nutella.

This almost feels like distancing to me, OR an easy suspicion since Faraday tends to be blendy and he might miss it. As someone who, like Nutella (and unlike Mac) has a long forum history with Faraday, I would not be surprised if he did not return to the sign up thread, or even the forum, for a few days.nutella wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 12:39 amthis was also my initial reaction. Like, for one thing she's posted multiple times in the sign-up thread, though I can believe that DF hasn't been reading it. But is this reaction from reading the player list as soon as the game is posted? I guess I can believe that as well, but... he could also have just gotten a team role PM with her in it... nah this is too tinfoily never mind. slips like that don't happen.

Was the only on topic post I recalled her making, and it was rather vague. I went back to look at her other posts and was pretty surprised to find her as one of the higher posters at this stage. Yesterday was her birthday apparently (Happy Belated so BOTD there, but curious why she finds sig making an unexplained vote on a fairly volatile person the only on topic thing she finds worth mentioning. Fanning the flames, perhaps?

Yeah, like I said I mostly talked myself out of it while I was writing the post. Especially after I reread the HCR Crossover day one.nutella wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:02 pm @SVS- as for the DF thing I was just noting that I had an initial reaction to his post and stream-of-consciousnessed myself out of thinking it meant anything. As of right now, I am pretty OK with my vote where it is.

You voted for someone to see how they reacted, sig.
And if LoRab is right about the options (and knowing these hosts it is very possible) that's a very valid reason for a vote. Making a drive by vote for a dubious poll choice isn't really a great look.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Night 1)
Drive by voting is generally considered a baddie tell. Some people hate being baddies, and are almost afraid to post. I played once with a woman who was petrified of posting when she was bad, and she basically gave up before the game even started; she threw in the towel when she got her PM. There might be other reasons for drive bys being bad, but "I don't know what to say" is generally not a civvie thing. I would have liked to have given him another day, but had he continued in that vein, I prolly would have voted for him tomorrow rather than for you again.
Have any thoughts on the game?

What's wrong with people who voted discussing how they would have voted after a mislynch? It would be suspicious had they said they would NOT have voted for him. Like I said, had he not been lynched yesterday, I likely would have voted for Loop tomorrow if he kept up the same behavior.speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 3:12 pmMethinks thou doth protest/mindmeld too much.

You are straw-manning my questions for no reason. Of course I don't think discussing results is suspicious.
But sure, I'll include you. I think having three people jump in and defend people on the loop wagon unprompted is weird. I think the way that Ambray, Tranq, and you worded it is weird. I, myself, do not see the lynch as reason to suspect the Loop voters. But I wouldn't say that unless asked, or if there were people campaigning to lynch the Loop voters. It's a non-statement, a dismissal of an argument that wasn't being made. And it's not hunting.
So I'm opening up a line of dialogue/pressure/suspicion on Tranq and Ambray, and your mother bear instincts have included you.
What prompted you to defend the Loop voters?
And the defense is because only 11 people voted, they voted for a reasonable reason and discussing results like this is also normal. "Oh, that's too bad, I would have done it too". It is a statement of whether or not you find the people who voted to mislynch a person suspicious. Plus it would appear that all of the people who did vote for Loop were from the same Mafia culture.
Plus, if I am going to be honest, it annoyed me a tad that someone who missed the vote is seeming to be trying to make a something out of a nothing. Totally no offense meant . Just being honest. And yeah, Momma Bear. We did not play much together; I am surprised you are aware of this aspect of my personality.
Linki @ Tranq, not off hand. I seem to recall that tying in their games was bad, but could I be thinking of someone else?

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
One last thought, we need to be super careful due to Calebs role about doing too much vote spreading.
But I have not voted for her as of yet becasue I think for the reason ^^ we need to try to come to somewhat of a group consensus on two people if possible. Knowing tonight was a two person lynch it would be a good night for Caleb to use his vote manip.
linki, Yes, given my last post where I say "I am still looking at lapluie", I am still looking at her :P I think her answers sound like someone who is trying to avoid having an opinion, especially ythat answer you quoted. What I said to her about why people might vote for Loop is actually my opinion of lapluie herself to some extent. I wish I had a bad game of hers to reference. She said two people on this site had played with her previously; are either of them playing this game?Caleb - Caleb is a human who has been supernaturally endowed with power by the First Evil, whom he serves. Once each night, he can choose one of four abilities: cast a misinformation aura, causing all info roles to give false results; protect himself; give himself -5 votes in the following lynch; use the power of a dead player. Caleb must use each of these abilities across each four-night period.

After 2 days? She is posting, she was one of the top posters on Zero, but she isn't saying anything. I just looked and right now she is the 7th poster, but has not had one real opinion. But what you say is possible, I am not sure I buy it, though. I really would like to see an opinion from her. The same goes for Vaseline.Tranq wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 8:34 am I quoted that post of her because i hadn't seen you reply directly to it. Looking through her posts, it looks like she is being more active in another game right now which may explain her non-thoughts in this one.
With Caleb, if he has -5 votes and with 2 players lynched i don't think Caleb can get enough votes to be lynched today.
And re Caleb I am not worried about lynching him, what I mean is this (hypothetical scenario):
We are 15. Let's say Person 1 gets 6 votes, and Person 2 gets 6. Person 3 has 2 and Person 4 has 1. If Caleb is either person 1 or 2, then Person 3 gets lynched. So we need to be careful about vote spreading for that reason, and not make a lot of statement or tangent votes.

I am not concerned with Caleb at all, other than the possibility of lynching someone by mistake. Like in my example, we lynch person #3 who isn't someone most of us think is bad. Although Caleb would have to be one of the people with the most votes for it to matter so meh.
That would be feasible re Darla, but we would have to be careful since several people start out today with votes. On phone at work, so someone else will have to determine who has a no vote day one penalty vote.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
No. I left in July, and had not been back since, until about a week and a half ago. Someone told me on Facebook that I had gotten a Socky, and I came in to say "Thanks". I started talking to a soooper persuasive friend, it was a BR/LC game, Tranq and rabbit were playing ... so yeah, lol.
My last post was mid July. I might have lurked around a few days past that in the mod forums, but if I did it wasn't very long after that.
Why?
Also home shortly, will catch up.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I think her bad game is wafflier and more tentative than she is here. She doesn't enjoy lying, and you can see it.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:02 pm I'm placing a vote on Juliets until I have a reason not to.
You, Mr Chuck, are looking to me like a man in search of a suspect. You came in after the night all ready to be all traditional and stuff and lay the blame for the mislynch on the people who voted for that person. You looked to be trying to link Ambray and Tranqs posts about how they might have voted Loop as well, like they were BTS slips.
Now Juliets, when that did not pan out for you.
Between that and just my feel for you, how you backed down. It just doesn't feel genuine to me.
I have to reread that exchange again, and I want to read a few other people. I really REALLY REALLY want to hear from Lapluie, she HAS to have some thought by now, any thought. Also Vaseline, any thoughts?

@Speedchuck, should you decide Juliets is maybe not the baddie you seek, who might your alternative vote be for?

I don't see that you ever answered this, Chuck.DFaraday wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 6:22 pmWhy are you asking Ambray specifically?speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:59 pm I don't have time to catch up in this game tonight.
@Ambray, where should I vote?

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
I kind of think it is exactly what you did. I am going to leave a vote on you for now, the thread is small enough that I can reread some more and change it if I change my mind. I really do think you are forcing suspicions. You don't feel sincere to me.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 5:43 pm
This is not something that I did, and you should know that.
Linki, thank you! I believe you!

These are the people who voted yesterday (everyone else starts today with a -1)
Illy, Nutella, Juliets, SVS, Faraday, Kyle, Lorab and Tranq (Loop and Timmer also voted, but they are dead).

Show me. Show me where I blamed those people, or mentioned them by name.
I haven't looked at the poll results. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO IS WAS THAT LYNCHED... uh... (checks linki) LOOP!
You seemed to know yesterday^^speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 11:01 am My game is over and MK is close to over, so I'll be able to keep up now.
Should have just voted randomly yeesh.
Can someone TLDR me why Loop was lynched?
Linki @ lapluie, I made a list of the people who voted yesterday, and I left sig off it in error. Everyone who did not vote starts the day today with 1 vote. Something we should keep in mind.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)
@DFaraday, you might want to come read this. Otherwise, I have no words here.lapluie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:02 pmHello there, just flipped back. no none of them are participating in this game, however I'm more diligent on the other game right now that I've lost train of thought here, my apologies.S~V~S wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:32 am Wow that's alot of dead people. And Timmer was Adam, presumably, and Marmot was non human. Killing him was kind of mean since he just got back. Wilgy was an odd choice as he had some suspish on him. I just looked at Who Posted, and Jack was not a low poster but I don't recall anything he actually said.
I Am still looking at lapluie, and a few other people got my eye, but I need to think about it. I go back to work today so will be on the quiet side until after 4 eastern.
I'm not afraid to voice an opinion but as of right now, I will say we should look more into the loop mislynch voters, it's very duck soup to jump on a wagon especially on day 0 (?) with little to no evidence off a players behaviours for an easy quick lynch. I noticed a few players piled on before due time & im skeptical about that, for now ill be placing vote of DFaraday - I believe he voted for Loop also, his reasoning for vote was moot.
