So looking at the setup, I wondered how a game with outed roles can work, since any mafia team will try to murder roles like the Thief and Pegasus Knight ASAP.

But I noticed this game has a huge surplus of doctor roles. We have the Paladin (bodyguard), the Knight (jailkeeper), the Cavalier (bodyguard), the Troubador (regular doc) and the Cleric (regular doc).

So this game will have an element if WIFOM where mafia may try to kill the cops or the doctors first. Likewise, the cops will ask from protection and may or may not get it.

I dunno about that. I know there's nothing quite like a scum game to ensure a high post count for me. Plus, this is a very exciting game, so of course she has a high post count. After all, I'm here.

The only un-town game I've played on this website was a burglary where I was an independent, but played with the civs anyway so even that is a bad representation of scum dunya. I've already been mislynched for the first time in my mafia career in Mortal Kombat, as you recall, and I'm sure it won't be my last. But hell if I'm going down because "you post too much" or "you don't post enough" or "you give me icky feelings" (none of which you stated yet, but I'm just saying, those reasons suck balls). Screw dat. Screw dat to hell and back. I hated those reasons 7 years ago, and I still hate those reasons today. Give me a case I can defend or screw up.

I think it's bad to ignore draft mechanics I think it can be key to catching scum, even if it doesn't it allows players to talk and to gain insight from how they react. I'm not sure that I like you proclaiming that you're going to be playing a supetown game and your general posts since that proclamation, I think it's about a 60/40 chance right now that you're actually mafia.

I don't think draft data is meaningless but I think it's about as realiable as vote analysis which is something that usually only means something after we get a baddie flip.

So while I welcome such speculation, I would give more civ points to someone who is doing scumhunting the classic way, and I would be wary of players who have limited themselves to that speculation.

But then again, it's Day 0. A lot of civs are likely being lazy on purpose.

I don't like how Kyle is the one of the high posters who has done nothing so far in terms of reading people's alignments.

But I recall accusing him of a similar thing last game so dejavu.

I guess he just likes to talk about game mechanics. Maybe.

He was online. It's not inactivity, it's a conscious decision to not pass the draft on. If he was scum, I feel like he would have been more inclined to move it on.

I mean, there is a reason he didn't post, but it can be due to a number of non-game related reasons. I've consciously not done things in mafia a lot of times, usually because I was watching anime or some shit.

For that matter, he hasn't logged in for two days. So whatever his reason is, it's a reason not to go online in MS whatsoever, not just some in-game agenda.

In my other site staff players tend to call out lurkers who hide their status which is not exactly cheating but leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

the only game I've played with a scum Long Con was Seinfeld and that was heavily disguised in roleplay. I've heard a lot of scary things about Long Con's abilities as scum, but apart from witnessing his short time in Phenom 2 (which was also a sock puppet game and he took a bad gambit in it and cut his time short), I haven't seen him in action. can you link me to appease my curiosity?

I'm not sure I've I played a game with scum LC.

It's just that 3 games in 3 years is not much imo.
