What I am trying to discern is why those other players have earned a scum GTH read -- and even if Mac is unsure it should be a priority of his to figure that out -- and how that can be compared/contrasted with his single ping on colonialbob. That ping is what I think looks fake, conveniently manufactured for a blatant omgus true to Mac form.

I'm not sure I'm ready to read into story text like that. This could all be coincidental. I don't see why JOH would reveal actual bad guys' genders with a story there exclusively for flavor.

I have no idea what this is, for the record. Every character has a phrase they say when if they die, and that's what this looks like to me, but I have no idea.

I'm also drawing a blank. It's not from a GBA iteration, at least.

If you're asking for my thoughts on cbob, I just looked through his posts and I'm pretty neutral on him. Lots of comments on setup and mechanics, which is generally something I look for in scum, but is more understandable in a game like this. I'm not sure how genuine his suspicion of Mac is coming off to me. As I've already said, I find that case to be pretty pedantic, maybe moreso from Jay than from cbob, but still, I don't think there's much to it. There are elements of OMGUS going both ways between cbob and Mac, and of the two, at this moment I'm more confident in Mac being town.

honestly most of his ISO feels rather sketchy imo. his input on Mac/Jay, his random not-connected-to-anything-else Epi prod, asking when mafia got PMs, input about Sloonei appearing on lists, and I'm not sure why he directed that last thing about ken/gwil to cbob

This is a weak argument IMO, but I still want to know why gwilkers thinks that’s scum.

Quite the opposite, actually. I think that Kenway's post is so scummy on the surface level that it couldn't possibly be written by scum. First he's probably at least the third player to mistakenly think Sloonei is playing, which is something I would expect a scum to be more vigilant about, especially other people already did the same thing. I can imagine scum feigning ignorance of who is or isn't playing if they're the first to do it, but not after it's already been done a couple times. I also think I kinda took the part about staying on Mac's good side out-of-context in my head the first time I read this, cuz it's not coming across as scummy to me as it did the first time I read it, but lol anyway. Regardless, he's a strong town read for me.

Hey that's me and I resent the assumption He requested it, I didn't think for too long about it and I was still trying to wrap my head around all the roles so I didn't even consider that it was a role the scum might want to claim. I was more wary of Wilgy asking for a killing role. I think I must have associated info roles with townies wanting them, and I wanted to keep the draft going relatively quickly so I unfortunately didn't think about it for too long.

If I unwittingly gave such a powerful role to the mafia then it is my duty to repent by lynching the guy D1

Also, he still hasn't explained his mysterious accusation of Kyle, has he? Wtf was that about?

I think the idea is more that they're lurking in general. Them not answering Epi's request is coincidental arising from the fact that they're not saying anything.

also the syndicate is famous for having lurking scum members so this is a prod at "at least one lurker has to be scum". it's not fool proof accurate or anything, but it's a running gag.

Nutella’s draft choice is mostly meaningless. Being wary of giving Wilgy the kill role is reasonable and I was the only other person asking for something. Notably Nutella would have to choose what role to give Wilgy because Wilgy asked for three and a lack of that choice perpetuates the indecisive thing.

Nutella was acting confused about the roles to start which is fine because they are confusing and maybe that lends credence to the theory of when she gave me the role she didn’t really know what it was.
But that’s an unnecessary argument because someone’s going to get the role and I don’t think I was being scumread at that time.

In response to LC saying that if I’m scum the person who gave me shaman is also scum (which is just not a good argument) Nutella responded by saying she was “more wary of Wilgy asking for a killing role” which is fair.

In response gwilikers saying “hey your post seems scummy” Nutella espoused the “I would feel bad if I miessed up” point of view which is something I wouldn’t associate with Nutella but I think I’ve only played with scum Nutella so I’m not the best judge of that.
