That LoRab was killed midday on Bidoof while nutella was killed midday on Pikachu is mildly perplexing. Either we have two vig type roles or something is killing on a timer.

Or there’s a separate team that can kill during day phases. That would suck.

It makes no sense. It is too easy of a conclusion to jump to, and if you read Pikachu, you KNOW how hot and heavy I was to lynch Chuck. If her role said she could have done it to a TEAMMATE I would be waving the pichfork harder and heavier than anyone else. But she couldn't, and I see no benefit to her using it on a baddie from another team randomly.

And besides, Nutella hoard her assets, she is not one to just use it or lose it. There is no strategic value for her in faux revealing Chuck unless she knew she was going to die.

I don’t think you read her role right. She didnt know what the alignment was. If she thought he was good, he would be revealed as bad, and would cause a little bit Moreno of chaos. I Think she did it expecting a different result.

Oh other threads are open. I’ll read through it later, but SVS, I must say I really liked you after you died the first time. A lot more fiery. I have you as a strong civ read.

The difference between our speculations is that we know one exists(existed) and one is entirely speculation.

Yes, you know nutella better than I do, but predicting how she plays a role is circumstantial. I, conversely, don’t like hoarding cool powers, but sometimes I do.

After the nutella reveal, you really kicked it into high gear. Like, he’s been saying some pretty helpful stuff if you do go back and read the last 3 pages of Bidoof. A large part of me wants to assume you want to remain in the civ limelight, backed by your cheerleaders SVS and Quin, but remain a hamster in a pig pen.

In the interim, I must say that I’m getting a pretty strong opinions about some people and it was pretty fluid while reading through the old thread.

sig looks good. He seems like he’s spontaneous and playing a totally different game from before. His accusations are a tad misplaced but he seems actively trying to solve the game.

LoRab looks better too. It seems once Sloonei and I left she became gregarious. Sig might be right that she might be indie, but I’d lean slight civ-indie as of now.

Quin and DDL seem like solid chaps. I get annoyed town reads from them.

SVS is solid town, even if she’s totes tunneling down the wrong path with me and speed. She seems to be caught up in my ringleadering of getting as much votes as I can on day 5. Well duh. I’m not gonna disputed that i also tried to get votes across on day 4. And day 3. Day 6 I knew Cbob was getting lynched (though now knowing he didn’t have to) so I figured we would just keep getting picked off if we didn’t get a lynch through. So ya, suspect me for sharing the day LC got lynched. I’ll own it but selfishly, I still would have loved to get one across for my own sanity.

I think she might eat a hat when it comes to speed, unfortunately, and should have a doctor close at hand when he is lynched as mafia.

I forgot INH was playing again, but I’ve said it before- I don’t think he is bad, of the absentees, he’s been the most peeved to receive flak, and that goes for both before he died and after.

Nothing has changed for nijuu. She still a null read.

I can’t say the same for Boomslang. Holy hell. 2 posts that basically amount to “I wanna wish you all good luck, we’re all counting on you”. The initial suspicion of Boom early on revolves around whether or not he would kill nijuu N1. I don’t think he did, nor am I going to go down that WIFOM path again, but now keeping in mind 2 teams, he’s definitely a candidate for Evil Evens. He’s that one balloon at a kids party that has a small hole and has basically lost all its air but the adults just don’t feel like getting around to throwing it out because the other balloons make up for it.

Cbob can also join the shitlist for doing nothing. I didn’t really get a good impression of him when I perused Pikachu nor do I like him now.

It’s not just about low posters, I don’t want to simplify it to that.

It’s that these particular low posters are not engaged with the game. You can perfectly engage with a game and give quality posts in low quantity. SpaceDaisy had been doing that on or tribe for a while. I suspected her for other reasons, but Sloonei trusts her and I think her Wilgy case is a worthwhile consideration.

It’s why I started feeling better about Marmot around day 4ish up until he left for like a week because he was engaged with the thread.

So when someone like Wilgy has been plopping his big clown shoes around the house and whistling in a corner, the eye of sauron shone bright.

I made a case right around when sig was the main lynch of contention that Wilgy would look very bad if dog appeared as bad. Besides the fact that he was periodically lurking without posting- and when he did post, it was conscious abstention from the goings-on of the thread- he voted for Boom I think right before EoD. His post was something akin to “wow people want sig dead Ima vote someone else”. I don’t remember the vote totals but it could Jane sent sig over the edge.

So it was a throwaway vote with no real opinion on the sig lynch. If sig is not bad, then it makes it less of a save opportunity but his engagement in this game is piss poor without any sort of excuse behind it. In fact, that unapologetic attitude is why we were looking at sig on his potential lynch day.

So why not vote Wilgy? Like Marmot, it’s not like he’s defending himself here.

That is probably why I wouldn't; I don't love lynching people who are not defending, and we have another day to wait for him. But I am going to check out Daisys links and might wind up voting for him, especially if he shows up to defens and I don't like what he says.

If you think alot of Wilgys baddieness predicates on sigs, why not push for a lynch of sig, as you did previously in the game?

I have suspected DDL, Nutella (now dead), LC (now dead), Speedchuck, and Epignosis.

Now that I'm interacting with Wilgy, I do see reason to vote for him, but it is sudden to me and it is strange that we are all voting Wilgy, but discussing speedchuck.

Cool, I’ll reread your iso in Pikachu at some point with that in mind. Sounds like you’re not a great candidate for evil Evens. Could be strexcorp tho.

We’re planning out what to do in the future, I don’t think it that odd to talk about the future. There’s more evidence on the table for Speedchuck. Wilgy is mostly speculative at this point. Would you rather us not talk about Speedchuck? Is he your scum partner?

There are no "buts" or "ifs". No tinfoil. I will personally confiscate every tinfoil hat and burn them if necessary. I will place them on the floor in a way that the smoke forms the words "LYNCH SPEEDCHUCK" when they burn.

There is a host post saying he is a civ and another host post confirming the existance of a role that can create host posts with inverted alignment. It's not any more clear cut than that. Of course there may be ways this information can be wrong, just like there may be ways DH actually caught all scum by himself, but we don't count on those when playing mafia. We follow the most logical path and accept the gift given to use by the hosts. Specially in a game where, let's be frank, we are kicking mafia in the asses so hard I can almost smell the tears coming from their BTSC chats. We have spare days to test weird tangents, and we most definitely have spare days to follow occam's razor, and if that fails, follow weird tangents afterwards.

Speedchuck dies. End of story. If there is any new information from the last 10 pages that makes this post hilariously misguided, show it to me now, otherwise the first time you see me on Day 10 will be with a torch, a pitchfork, and whatever tool they use to kill the lizard thing that is on Chuck's avatar.

I'm not voting speedchuck tomorrow. That's the lazy vote. I already explained why waiting to lynch him is the best option. We have limited information and waiting a not-horribly-long amount of time to see if a bona fide alignment revealer flips is the logical course of action. We're not at LYLO. We can afford it. With every flip that isn't that role, the probability of him being scum increases. No need to rush into a lynch now.

I will not be accepting any counterpoints at this time, thank you. Especially because today isn't Day 10 and we don't need to be talking about speedchuck.

Firstly, can someone tell me what the fuck "Bidoof" means?

Secondly, reading through the whole Speedchuck thing feels like randomly tuning into some later season of a heavily-serialized TV show, and trying to mentally fill in the gaps. Unfortunately, despite S~V~S being super duper earnest, I have to side with the dull, boring, rational, Occam's-Razor-y DH and DDL on this one. He's probably where my vote's going tomorrow.

Thirdly, Scotty. @S~V~S, you were pretty sus of him due to all the Day 5 shenanigans. Here's my perspective. Scotty, JoH, and Sloonei were all desperately pushing towards lynches at any costs at this point in the game, which was tricky due to having no real flips or info to go off of. Their solution seemed to essentially be playing spin-the-bottle with whoever either disagreed with them or hadn't posted in a while. Boomslang, who is my current top civ read, disagreed with them, and has been relentlessly pursued because of it.

Sloonei and Scotty had a case against me, which they themselves admitted was BS. Nevertheless due to a mixture of apathy and inertia, I began picking up votes. I wrote up a case against sig, which was based on actual, y'know, stuff, and that managed to shift their attention.

At the time, I was nervous that a scummeister could be using the pressure towards a lynch with more voters than Pikachu's to frame civilians.

The fact that this push to beat Pikachu's numbers happened at the same time as LC was about to be lynched over there, well, it don't look great.

Out of the three (relatively) hyper-active players pushing towards a lynch, Scotty's the one that looks the worst to me. JoH is dead, and Sloonei has seemingly calmed down a hell of a lot when the button got pressed. Scotty's the one who first made the switch when I protested against my lynch and offered an "easier" alternative.

This is all not to imply that I don't still suspect sig. As I said over at NuCerberus:

Like Quin said, there's a pretty decent chance that in a game this size that's this convoluted, (I know, I'm one to talk) there are multiple baddie teams. Even if sig's "wagon" was bolstered by an attempt to save LC's bacon, that doesn't discount any of my suspicions of him. Plus, sig had an extra life at that time, and I could see a baddie team not really minding bussing a member with two lives to try and save someone else.

Fourthy, Wilgy. I don't think Wilgy is bad. I think Daisy's meta case against him is hollow and kinda judgmental. I don't like Scotty and company latching onto him as an easy target due to his inactivity. The fact that vote after vote has been cast at him today makes me pretty sure we aren't gonna get anything out of his lynch. But, as S~V~S said, the dude's super-busy, and can't be replaced anytime soon. That's enough for me to sigh and add my twig to the Wilgy bonfire. Plus, I'd be super pissed if Boomslang got lynched today.

How the hell is Boomslang one of your TOP civ reads? Like, what has given you that indication because I’m dumbfounded how he is the Abraham Lincoln to, say, Sloonei’s Calvin Coolidge. It just isn’t a thing. Those roles should be reversed.

INH’s response to people voting for him is on par to how he acted when he got heat in like day 3 and when jack determined he should be the top lynch candidate after his first death. I think that frustration genuine, and choose not to judge him for it.

Ok I think I remember INH making a post that’s Marmot pointed out was a song- this was during his insanification, which intrinsically is a bizarre time consuming way to go about things. In the editor mode I see it was vocaroo, but vocaroo posts conveniently don’t show up on phone. If it did, i would be marked

I’ll have to go back in the old tribe thread to look at the timing but it would appear to me that Wilgy killed INH.

No it wouldn't. Wilgy marked the first player to respond to the vocaroo, not the vocarooing player themselves. So whoever was first to reply to INH's insane rap would have been marked.

If LoRab was indeed the target that Wilgy decided to kill, what do you think prompted her death?

And now I’m doubting that could happen at all, if we’re assuming that counts as a target- Wilgy was on Pikachu at the time of LoRab’s death. Do we think the syntax in his role create a loophole where he can just decide to kill someone already ‘marked’ and therefore it doesn’t count as a ‘target’?

If not, Wilgy did not kill LoRab

Wilgy didn’t target him, but he did indeed choose not to pull the trigger..unless Wilgy tried to kill Marmot, but marmot’s role swallowed up Wilgy’s one shot on day 4.

I also assume wilgy is an Even rather than strexcorp based on thr Night 8 kill. This hinges on the theory that the Evens are killing on even nights while strex kills on odd nights. We could put more research into that. The theory which has been raised is that sprit has to have been killed by a newcomer from Cerberus after LoRab pressed the button, but I think that theory is baloney. That said, if the assumptions about nightkill mechanisms hold true, then somebody from the Evil Evens needed to have been active in Pikachu on Night 8 to kill sprityo. POE has more or less ruled out everyone but Wilgy (for me, at least) from that grouping. His first role seems like it could easily have been anti-town, not that that's been an entirely reliable metric in this game. I stand by my strong suspicion of him and am inclined to guess that he is an Even with nutella and Long Con.

What about Kyle?
I have him as a null-bad read right now. I’ve brought this up before but he’s like Tonya Harding to me- just skating along the edges and probably holding a dark secret.

He’s offered to do ISOs on people early on, but didn’t. When pressed again by me, he said he’d get around to it. Did amounted to a few reads on some people. Then the rest of the game, to be brutally honest, has been a game of 20 questions from him, except it’s more like 200 questions and there’s no end to the game in sight. Call it falling behind (which is entirely possible, since he was in 3+ games simultaneously) but it feels like a crutch to keep up the ‘what’s going on’ routine this late in the game
