I would describe it the same way. It is not appointment TV for me but passes the time pretty well. House as a detective.

Missing Person wrote:I just started in on Walking Dead last week, albeit slowly. I'm way too squeamish for this show and yet it draws me in.

Four episodes in a week. I finished Breaking Bad in about 3 weeks-ish.
I'm glad to find someone else who is squeamish about Walking Dead. I watched the first two and gave up. I also don't watch GoT or The Following for the same reason.

Watch "Hamilton's America" on your local educational station. It is about the making of Hamilton the musical but has interviews with historians including the one who wrote the book the musical is based on. It is fascinating.

Re: Whatcha Watchin? (Spoiler Free)

Homeland starts again tonight. What the hell is Quin's status?? I hope they don't leave that dangling.

Also Victoria starts tonight. Don't know if it's going to be any good but it looks interesting.

And of course the last installment of Sherlock is on tonight.

I hope I can record all three while watching the game!

He's just getting Chinese food in Australia, as I understand it. :shrug2:
I bet they could just about come up with such a storyline, by the time the show reaches its 20th season. :srsnod:

'Hi. Can I have the sesame chicken, please?'

*staring and doubting intensifies while watching the clerk go in the back to get his order*

On a serious note, I think they've stretched the Quin narrative for quite some time, now. Is he seriously the only rogue assassin pawn figure in the entire Agency?

Season 5 was slightly better than the norm, so I'll prolly keep watching it.

I bet Danes will cry, at one point, too.
Haha Epi wrong Quin!

And Ricochet I think you're underestimating the appeal of Quin to the Homeland audience!

Re: Whatcha Watchin? (Spoiler Free)

I finally watched the premier of Homeland last night and found it a little slow, though this has been true of the last few seasons of Homeland all of which I enjoyed.

Spoilers below:
Spoiler: show
I was pleasantly surprised that Quin is upright, though far from normal and not particularly likable in this episode. I was also glad to see both Dar and Saul back for this season. I'm not quite sure about this setting in New York though and Carrie has yet another job in lieu of her only real job as a spy. I wondered when they introduced the new president elect if they expected Hillary to win the election but the character does not seem to be modeled on her views which is good. The new young muslim boy looks to be an interesting character, I can't wait to see him develop.
All in all it was an ok episode and I guess the slowness is somewhat necessary to set up the background for what I think will be the major themes of this season. I'll keep watching.

Anybody been watching Vietnam? We've only watched the first episode which was the excellent back story going back to 1858 about how we got embroiled in the war. I'm looking forward to the other episodes we've got DVR'd.

I’ve never watched! One of my kids loves the show, but I usually stick to scripted tv shows. Is it one of your favorites? What else do you watch?
Well, I just started watching it last year and somehow I'm addicted. I don't know how it happened! Other reality shows I watch are Project Runway (my favorite), So You Think You Can Dance, and America's Got Talent. I've never been able to get into the Voice even though its the most popular I think. I also watch Lucifer (another guilty pleasure). I know I watch more than that but this time of year gets taken up with football (it's on Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, and sometimes other days as well). What else are you watching?

I'm so excited that I finally have Netflix and can see Bojack. I have to start at the beginning though.

What I'm watching now is a fascinating documentary called Cheer on Netflix. If you've been a cheer leader, wanted to be a cheerleader or had no interest in being a cheer leader you will still find this an interesting depiction of leadership and teamwork as well as some other things which I will not say for fear of spoiling.
