Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 0

It's Day 0. Zeek only has ten posts. It cannot be that arduous a task to click on "In topic" under his name (he posted on page 4, so S~V~S would have only had to scroll up three posts to find it). Once on the "In topic" page, a quick skim (or use of F3) would locate the relevant post. How did Made clip the part of the quote that clipped off? Why would S~V~S tell Made to not clip quotes because it looks bad? If Made is bad, wouldn't she want to catch him acting bad rather than coach him in the thread?
S~V~S wrote:It took me several minutes to find that quote, and i know how to search this site fairly well. Before this conversation, i thought the whole Zeek/MP thing was chest bumping, but this had made me think I want to reread Zeek a bit harder.
But you didn't find the quote! Made did. :|

In Monty Python, I was last man standing, and could not give a tinkle whom I got lynched or why. Therefore I do not see how those (phony) suspicions are relevant here.

I think this is such a bad reason to vote for someone. You can't say someone is lying about having a bad day because they were happy a few hours ago. That's not how life works at all. Things happen, and happy people can turn sad or upset or angry or any other emotion.

The Suicidal Civvie Gambit. Having been on the opposite side of this gambit, i must say, you can get a very fun chain of civvies dying if you're not careful. Assuming you and Enrique are civvie, this would lead to a train of more civvies jumping on to kill the person who killed the previous civvie.

I don't recall referencing anything MP said about Enrique. Enrique did something very specific I did recently when I was bad, and some of his posts don't sound genuine to me.
juliets wrote:Epignosis, I would like you to take a look at my post about what the Enrique suspision is all about and tell me if you would add anything to it.
Not really, other than the above.

Unrelated to Enrique, I had found this post eye-worthy:
S~V~S wrote:Personally I am more interested in Zeek based on Mades defense of him. I was kinda doing the "well it's day zero" thing, but this whole conversation is odd. He says he is NOT defending Zeek, but it really feels as if he is.
That seems backwards to me. It is more suspicious to defend someone in the thread than it is to be defended by someone. The reason is simple: Mafia know who is not them, so they could easily defend a civilian.

So why would S~V~S be more interested in the individual getting defended rather than the one doing the defending?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 1

Turnip Head wrote:Interesting Epi. I've noticed you've been relatively quiet on the matter. What makes you say that?
Civilians lose because they post but do not pay attention. How many people will be here Friday evening EST voting but with little information? It's a lot like America, no?

If you put a handful of votes on MP, the "OMG I HAVE TO VOTE SO I DON'T MISS IT" crowd will vote MP or whoever is second. The early game civilian mentality is, unfortunately, the same as the Mafia's: "Anybody but me."

I reject that thinking. An evildoer can be caught on Day 1, but it requires diligence. I pay attention, even if I do choose to say little. MP has gotten lynched in the past two full games on Day 1 because I called him on it. Yes, me. Do you think I would hesitate to make it three in a row?

Leave MP alone.

++++

Look, I'll break it down in a different way. For this game for a moment.

MP kicked up the most dust. That in itself is not surprising. I think his "gambit" (was that what that was?) was gauche and wildly inappropriate. It does him no favor, BUT you fuckers are talking, and that was a stated objective. Good on him.

MP also has a tell. I've even told him what it was. I've not seen it here. Obviously that doesn't mean he couldn't be trying really hard. But I'm not going to go after someone who has learned from his errors.

"Ah! Perhaps you are PM's teammate!" Would that it were so: MP and I have never been on a team together. Were it true, do you think Day 1 would look like this?

++++

On a final but unrelated matter, to those wanting me out, relax. Whether I am good or bad, you shall get your wish. There are two bad teams in this and a pissed off independent. One of them will have me out, and that right soon. Even if I am bad, you'd be wasting a lynch. It's so funny it hurts to laugh! :haha: :evileye:

Why?

Because I am Dr. WHOopass. :slick:

Obviously I cannot lynch someone by myself. I initiated the proceedings against MP in (heh) MP on Day 1 before anyone said anything against him, and I pressed him, and pressed him some more. Epignosis wrote:MP has gotten lynched in the past two full games on Day 1 because I called him on it.

is a bit of a bold statement. You weren't the only factor in either of those games. Maybe a primary factor in The Hobbit, I'll give you that. But I don't think two deaths in a row were entirely because of you, I know that in MP you had nothing to do with my vote for him and don't recall many people saying you'd influenced them. I'm not saying it means anything about you or your alignment, I'm just saying I don't quite think you can go around acting like some MP expert and claiming credit for things that you aren't really that responsible for. In my opinion MP's biggest tell is that when he's bad he makes his same huge posts but they don't actually say very much, I've used the phrase 'lots of words but not much use for them' in regard to him before. As a civ his dissertations generally tend to mean something. I'm not seeing bad MP either yet.
Which is exactly what I called him out for in both games, and did so first: Statements devoid of meaning.

You're welcome to disagree, but I believe that if I had not spoken up in Monty Python, it would have been Made, Enrique, or thellama73 still being discussed.

Yes I posted in the other game i was playing by mistake. I reposted in this game but decided not to retract my statement just yet. The post I had seen that caught my attention again was the one where you told us to vote for him. That's a pretty hard stance and made we want to look at what was behind it. I tracked down what I just posted but the evidence didn't persuade me.

I'm probably going to vote for someone not on any of these lists we've been discussing.
But that doesn't require any "piecing together." I didn't lay down a bunch of mysterious comments or even make a huge case. I just told everybody what to do- no mystery there.

In the last game we played together, I was LMS. How does me trying to get you lynched in that game (when I didn't care about your alignment) mean that I can't read you?

No.

They do not say "pretty much the exact same thing."

Isn't it cool?

I vote Enrique and he takes votes.

I vote juliets and she takes votes.

I love my power.

juliets wrote:After the lynch is over Epi is going to say he is not sorry because, he will say, I did baddie things. Or made mistakes that couldn't be corrected. Keep in mind people make mistakes like posting in the wrong thread all the time - civs and baddies It sure would be nice to know what those baddie things are that I did. Please the rest of you, hound Epi when he says something is so and make him explain himself. This is what happens when you let him get away with thinking things are one way and no one challenges him. Remember if you are civ it could be you next. He and someone else votes for you, people come in the thread who are tired and just take the easy way.

zeek wrote:I am telling you all this is important. You don't have to trust me, you just have to vote for Alzarius. Voting patterns are everything if we fail to reach that planet. Voting everywhere because you like the colour blue is a complete avoidation of responsibility. We are choosing our destination, make it this one.

Enrique and Dom are my top suspects.
Agreed 95% :srsnod:

"Avoidation" is not a word. The correct noun is "avoidance."

Addendum: wtf is "avoidative."

Arkheon would be the ghost planet, which means that a dead players (juliet) could potentially come back. Honestly, I think you guys don't want her back because she's talk against you.
I don't talk to the dead. It's against my religion.

Blue is my favorite color even.

By the way, zeek, you misspelled "color."
