Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 0

First clowns are skerry.

MP/zeek - somehow I was not surprised by an early back and forth betwixt them.

MP likes find anything to point to for a vote day 1 and it just happened to be from a new forum member. I know he says he isn't sure he going to vote for him but if pushcomes to shove andhe finds nothing else I would lay odds that he votes for zeek. That all said I always enjoy playing with MP in a game that gets him going.

zeek was/is a strong player just feeling out how the game may have changed since he last played. I felt he was trying to helpful in giving out Who info and speculation. I did not see/feel as if e was doing anything nefarious.

SVS I don't get your beef about clipping quotes as I have done it often yet you have never said anything to me about it. Sometimes you are just trying to make a point or answer a small prtion of someones post.
Your back and forth with Epi is also not a surprise since he know what buttons to push to set you off. An vice versa.

Keys is a sell-out :p anything for another cool tshirt lol!

I never said what MP did was suspicious - I believe it to be his norm. I expected him to do it if that makes sense. He now sees poss teamies/defenders from all of this which is also quite the norm. I never wnt him to stop bc somtimes he is right - maybe he is this time idk its too soon for me to tell.

Dana - they usually are not allowed to fact check sentences that contain any of the following words:
Civvie
Baddie
Mafia
Townie
Good
Bad
Etc.

Ld's need to be creative when checking statements.

If it's any help... at STV, every single person said "I'm a civvie" and it was considered suspicious to not say it. I'm honestly really surprised that Rox failed to point this out. :hmm:
I'm not trying to defend zeek here. I honestly have no idea if he is bad, but mafia was played a bit differently on STV, so much so that players from here like Kate and SVS had a bit of trouble there. But yea, that's kind of how the games started. Your first post would be like "yay game :) I'm a townie." And they were big on suspicion lists. And we didn't have polls. And dead players weren't allowed to post at all. That's all I can think of for now. :)
um I did point it out to zeek - I said "It was like that everywhere but STV."
I remember when people came from other sites and made fun of us. It was not fun nor funny. Others are different so fucking what it is what makes life beautiful - the differences  I still make lists :lorab:

Zeek, my case was totally bogus, which you obviously pointed out. AND I clearly said MULTIPLE TIMES that I wasn't crusading you as bad nor did I even really find you bad. There was no way that was going to blow up to anything.

The minute anyone seriously believed to me I was going to turn it onto them for agreeing with a bullshit case.

It's not irresponsible play. You tell me this: How many people think you're bad right now? In fact, I probably helped your reputation more than anyone else in this thread right now. Am I not right?
But, people get lynched for nothing Day 1 all the time. I don't think there is anyway you could have predicted the thread would swing this way. I think I am more surprised at your choice of target then anything. If it was nothing and not something you were seriously trying to point out, why not pick on someone not new to the site and returning to mafia after years of not playing? I don't know. Just seems a bit of a weird way to welcome someone.

I totes agree with everything splints says here. What a welcome to the site. Same thing happened in Felt mafia between sabie and llama. I asked him to give her a day or so to become accustomed to the site. At least he relented realizing that it wasn't a very warm welcome. Guess what - she was civ. It is irresponsible play if you want him to come back and play another game. It was only day 0! LOL

Also you may not have said he was bad but you did agree with what I said about if you had nothing else to vote on you would vote zeek. So that is basically saying he is bad without actually saying he is bad. Riding the fence .

I do not see the Enrique thing as anymore different than what MP did. I find it hilarious that MP finds Enrique suspicious for doing the same thing he did.

Don't know who I am voting for yet I will wait - we have time.

Okay, well I may have been "riding the fence" but I already said I was trying to get people talking because that's how you catch baddies. What have you done? You still don't even say if you think ANYONE is bad, you're just "oh, we have time". So don't criticize me for my methods please. I'll play my way and you can play yours.

True, I had absolutely no way of knowing how the thread would take it, but I already explained my thought process.

WTF I was not "picking on" anyone, and you act like I gave it a TON of thought. I wasn't looking for a way to screw with someone. I just read zeek's post, I was REALLY excited to start discussion, and then came up with the gambit thinking it would be an effective way to gauge people's reactions and get people talking, which was way better than everyone just posting on Day 1 "Well I have no idea who to vote for because nothing significant has happened so I'm just going to randomize!!" That tells us nothing almost all of the time.

Go ahead and disagree with my playstyle. People disagree with me ALL the time. I don't care. But it does not make me bad.

I'm not here to hold everyone's hand and welcome them all to a game of mafia. This is mafia. It's not personal. I see something worth discussing, I discuss it. I don't hold back. I'm sick of people holding back all the time because that's how baddies win; I've seen it so many times. Civvies just fly through the game too afraid to make accusations or start discussion because they're afraid of being wrong. I don't play that way, ever, and I never will. Other people can if they want; I'm not telling anyone else how to play, but I play my way.

I play this way all the time. So anyone insinuating that just because I am PLAYING THE GAME that it makes me bad and because they don't understand my perspective, well, sorry, I am not a wordsmith, I am an accountant. I can't explain things super well all the time. I come up with crazy theories and gambits because I'm paranoid as fuck and I love playing the game. If you don't understand me or you disagree with my methods, fine, but I'm sick of being eyeballed just because I'm intense and I did something to get people talking.

How else are we supposed to uncover baddie behavior?

I'm sorry if my tone comes across defensive but I'm sick of people insinuating my playstyle is "hilarious" or "irresponsible" just because they think differently than I do. Honestly it comes across as insulting. If you disagree with me, just say it, don't try to lynch me because you think I'm nuts or whatever.
Catching up this is where I had left off I wanted to respond to MP now then get on to reading.

MP - I did mean to hurt your feeling or upset you in anyway. I do think what you and Enrique did to zeek was the same in that you both punced on something insignifigant and tried to turn it into something it never was. You both tried to start suspicion rolling on him for an easy lynch vote reasoning for Day 1. I am sorry your posts you made do not read as a gambit nor did it seem like you just wanted discussion they seemed like you genuinely were suspicious of him enough to state you would vote for him day 1. Does that seem like who just wanted discussion?

No I had not at this point came out and called anyone bad. it was only Day 1. I do not have the baddies magically lined up on a list to post. Your "gambit" took up a lot of discussion day 0 and for a lot of day 1. Hard to focus on anyone but you, Enrique and zeek at that time.

I am playing my way while you play yours I just happened to disagree with you about all this.

MovingPictures07 wrote:Honestly, if 15 out of 31 players missed the D1 vote and I was hosting, I'd be half tempted to just modkill them all. That's insane.
Why????? Did you learn NOTHING from your last major kill off? wow wee

MP - inre: your zeek "gambit". I still do not buy it was a gambit or to get people talking. Others may just fall in line when you speak but I am going to expect you to show me you can be trusted after that. You then jumped to Enrique and quickly gave that up for Juliets -

inre: Juliets: I do not see how you did not think those posts were very similar. When you said she did not sound sincere or genuine (i do not remember your exact wording) I just couldn't believe it. She sounded very sincere to me even a bit sad that no one who knows her well believed her. It was a disheartening read tbs. Why would you trust Epi's vote or suspicion knowing how often he is wrong? Why didn't you give her botd? Can you explain to me what is so CLEARLY not the same in the 2 posts? The gist and meaning read exactly the same to me.

Epi - why people followed you and your heavy handed push for Juliets is beyond me. She was questioning you about Enrique - and tbf I still do not know why you are suspicious of Enrique and I just finished reading the thread and re-reading the thread - Why didn't you ever answer her without your Cheshire cat responses? Why when someone asks you for reasons you won't give them? Why do you tell them to find it themselves? Would they ask if they could find it themselves? LOL
A good civvie shares info they have found in the thread. They don't keep it secret as we want to work TOGETHER to hunt and lynch baddies. The way you go about it feels very self-promoting this game. I cannot figure out why you are being this way. It's twitching my nose. Juliets was pointing the finger at you before she was even lynched so yah i am going to be looking hard in your direction today.

zeek - why are you pushing so hard for SVS to give opinions? Why not anybody else? Why solely her? She did state she did not get the Juliets suspicion. I do wish she had been more forceful in her stance inre: Juliets.

Elo - every game we have played together I question your votes. I figured out why last game. It is bc you often latch onto anothers suspicion and vote without saying why you are voting just that you agree with whats been said without ever adding your own thoughts. I would love it if you would list the 2 people you are looking at for todays lynch and why. Your vote for Juliets caught my eye.

Hedgeowl - How was Epi's case on Juliets "valid"? Her defenses rang true to you though so - how is it going riding that fence?
*PING!*

I was faithful to my randomizer. I read four, accidentally voted one, and then changed my vote.
This exchange has me wanting to look closer at Dom. Why lie about a simple random vote? You voted one then changed your vote to another - that is NOT random in my book. Then you post to zeek a picture/cartoon - "stop patronizing me teacher" - as a way to laugh it off bit I ain't laughing tbh.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

MP wrote:A response to Rox (which elaborates why I find her suspicious): Thank you for your thoughts. I'm sad to hear you don't "buy" my true intentions, but I suppose that's your right. I gave up my Enrique suspicion because his responses seemed genuine to me, and my back and forth with Dana made me reexamine the strength of my thoughts against him. On the flipside of your POV, I thought what Juliets did was incredibly suspicious and I'm still shocked she flipped civvie, to be honest. She must have just been WAY overthinking what she was attempting to post and her inability to attempt to decide things for herself seemed OOT moreso than normal. And personally, I have no reason to believe we're seeing a baddie Epig here, and despite the fact that I appreciate your contributions, I think some of them are off the mark.

I think you were WAY over thinking Day 0 as well as Day 1. You are entitled to your opinion as am I. Juliets is this way EVERY game in the beginning. Questioning and either disagreeing or agreeing. It is not until later in a game that she starts doing her own suspicions. Ofc you know this as well as I as you have prob played more games with her than I have.
MP wrote:This is demonstrated especially since you suspect Hedge for thinking Epig's thoughts were valid; you even just essentially say you think she's bad because she disagrees with your assessment on the juliets situation. I am a civvie and I saw it unfold and I firmly believe juliets's actions were incredibly suspicious, so the fact that you're not willing to consider an alternative perspective as a possible civvie one seems suspicious to me.
I do not find Hedge suspicious for disagreeing with my assessment - if you had read it properly you would know I have a *ping* from her for riding the fence. I know you need to keep saying you thought Juliets was suspicious but can you step back a second and look at it without your preconceived suspicions and try to understand where I am coming from? The more you hammer that Juliets did this to herself the more I have to wonder if you are finding me suspicious for not just simply agreeing with you and letting it go.
MP wrote:I am also suspicious of why you mention Elo's vote but not Sabie's (more on this later). Lastly, I get this "oh, the case on JC was so bad, how could anyone believe it?!?!?!" feel from you, which seems very opportunistic, especially since you weren't around (understandably for RL reasons, I won't blame you for that). It just strikes me as an easy way for a baddie to come in after the fact and be all, 'well, how could anyone believe that?? These people who did must be bad!!' Strikes me as suspicious as well.

bc I found Elo's vote much more suspicious. Elo has played way more games than sabie. I played with sabie twice now. Once when I was bad and stopped llama from going after her. The last time we were both civ and I went against SVS and she was lynched even after I defended her. I am seeing the same sabie here. I believe she is good at this time. I am sorry you do not.

You, yourself, find Elo suspicious for her vote so why are you suspicious of me for finding her suspicious?

I am not an opportunist MP. I resent the insinuation tbf. I was just giving my opinion on what happened day 0 and day 1. Sure hindsight is 20/20.

Am I not allowed to comment on things that happen when I am not around???? If that is the case then I will not be saying much as a lot happens when I sleep or when I am working. That seems a really odd thing to say - that I can't comment on Juliets since I was not here during that time.
MP wrote:Additionally, I had my eye on you when you seemed to be setting up suspicion against me, but consequently never expressed any firm opinions about anyone at all, and now all of a sudden you have tons of opinions after being called out for it.
I already told you why in my first response it was only day 0 and day 1 I don't like going off half cocked pulling suspicion out of my hat. That is your style not mine. Now that some time has passed and we have learned things from lynches and thread talk I do have opinions. You are now saying you called me out? Thats funny since you have the answer to this in my first response today yet you do not mention that here. :ponder:
Also I am not "setting up" suspicion on you I am in fact pointing out what I find suspicious about the way you handled day 0 and day 1. So not setting you up at all just stating my suspicions as that is the point of the game right?

Nice no u btw.

Elo can you respond to my post since you responded to everyone else?

MP - My Hedge suspicion comes from her fence riding during the Juliets fiasco. She thought Epi made a "valid" case yet she could still see Juliets as being good. Fence riding at its best.

inre: Hedge: Let me add she did not vote that I could see - which is odd considering she was around.

Sorry, I have no suspicions. I thought I made it clear I wasn't really keeping up with this game. I simply cannot do two games at once. But, I am trying to be a helpful civ by voting for who everyone else (who is keeping up) suspects. I joined this game b/c I was asked to by a few people. I guess it was a bit slow in sign-ups or something.
But what if the people keeping up and you are following are bad? I understand about hard to keep up but I am hostying and playing-----I still have thoughts to share.

Linky Elo kk thanks for the response

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

Wow wtf happened in here?

I am in a nyquil daze but let me see if I got this straight -
MP thinks daisy is bad, daisy thinks MP is bad.
Daisy has the better record of reading MP than he has of reading her.
What a sticky whicket.

I am going with Daisy only because SVS actually agreed with MP about Daisy. This has never happened before. VOTE DAISY
She is feeling cornered imo.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3

Sorry Hosts and fellow players I know I have been quiet and lacking this round but I AM SICK!

I have been trying hard to keep up and right now I have a couple of pages to still read. In my Nyquil addled brain not much is sticking.

Turnips - I am sorry I have been in a Nyquil haze since Sunday please forgive me for forgetting you <3 I deffo did not mean to. You know how I love my vegetables

splints - Come on!! I know you can read me like your favorite book so you deffo should know I am civ!

MP - yep I followed you though it was mostly bc you and SVS NEVER agree so I really thought there was merit to your suspicion of Daisy. I have to ask though why aren't you suspicious of Snow Dog or Hedgeowl? They followed you as well.

I need to finish catching up now

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3

After catching up I will not be voting Daisy today.

Read Snow and Idk what to think bc he is kinda playing a total wifom game but it feels somehow genuine if that makes any sense. Its been awhile since we've played together but I prob won't be voting for him today.

I know no one else is talking about Hedge but me but srsly her game so far has been one big ? to me. Rereading her posts did not make me feel any differently. I could absolutely vote Hedge.

Dana feels like she has in every game sweet and genuine. I don't think I have seen her bad but right now I just do not think she is bad.

DFaraday - if Daisy is telling it true and he is a Whovian then his votes do seem quite odd. MP think you have added insights when you do post tbh I did not see it. I feel you are playing an extra low key game and would like to hear more from you. I could vote for you today but I feel more strongly about Hedge.

Turnip Head wrote:Could you elaborate on your thoughts re: Hedgie, Roxy? She's been off my radar so far.

She is off your radar bc thats where she wants to be. Here is a link to her posts I made a post about her Day and commented more - she has promised twice to respoind to me but has yet to offer any response. What initially pinged me was the way she said Epi had made a valid case about Juliets yet Juliets could be good (I am paraphrasing here)
So when/if Juliets came back good (which she did) she could say - yeah I thought she could be civ. See I said so before the lynch was over.

You read her tell me what you think.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3

Thanks for your input on hedge MP, TH and SVS.

I am still hoping she comes and responds to me and others today before the lynch ends. There is over 12 hours - plenty of time.

The Dom/Made thing leaves me feeling equally unsure about either of them quite frankly.

Bass is quiet but I have to say that during my Nyquil time he was taking care of stuff for me - I am not defending just saying he has had less time thesepast few days.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3

splints thats the only one I seen as well. :haha:

Put a vote on hedge to see if will bring her to the thread.

MP - you are jumping around more than my neice jumping rope.
LC's vote was odd but he did say he was going to focus on MPATHG. game. personally I can't fault him for that. :p
Srsly though it was a strange vote and though I am feeling god about Dana there is still a niggling voice in the back of my mind saying the Epi lynch was a save of Daisy ( or poss one of the other vote getters idk daisy makes more sense in my hed)

Linky splints - inre: Elo. yah she was on my radar at the beginning but when she responded initially I felt better about her. Her dana suspicion feels a bit forced (is the only way it feels to me) still feel more confident in my Hedge suspicion.

also MP - you said the Hedge suspicion feels off bc others are chiming in- you do remember me saying no one but me was talking about her after that others (including you) chimed in.

My boss is here so I have to stop postiing asap

Not sure why it took so long to respond since you have been here for the vote and shrtly after and again for the night poll.
I did not twist anything It was a very simple question.
If you have been checking in on and off then why couldn't you respond to my simple question?

Why are people refering to 4 votes that Hedge had as a lynchtrain?
Sorry 4 votes does not a lynchtrain make. I know Hedge is bad I just feel it - it is the same feeling as LOST was.

I wish that every time someone said the word lynchtrain/bandwagon peoplewould immediately back track and completely switch suspicions to someone who isn't even around to have the same chance to respond as say Hedge.

Oh wait that is what happened no need for wishing.

That lynch was bs whoever voted Snow is getting re-read by me.

That is simply not true. I voted Snow Dog when he was here and gave my reasons, which he proceeded to ignore. Everybody else voted after he'd gone and couldn't defend himself. You can say I'm not helping but I'm trying my best. Not exactly easy to read a bunch of people I don't know.
Zeek you did not give him the same chance as say hedge or daisy or MP ffs everyone had more time to respond and defend than he did. plus he had the 2 top posters all up in his grill.
