I think I'm going with the 10th doctor as well. I recognize the actor from Harry Potter, and he played that role great, so I think if I were to watch this show he would be my favorite.
A part of me wants to vote #1 for being the original though.

As far as I know zeek has only played at STV, which doesn't even use polls, so I'm not too surprised he finds Day 0 a bit weird.

You think zeek was overly confrontational? No, I'm actually taking Dana's side here. MP came out of nowhere guns blazing based on very little. Maybe he's onto something; it is weird that zeek would omit the Doctor's regeneration like that, but is it really to the baddies' benefit? He could've easily just not thought of that. It's still weird that MP would make such a huge spectacle out of it.Made wrote:I currently see zeek as overlly confrontational, but that can easily be rationalized when you realize it's his first day 0. He (assuming you're talking about his critzing speculating about civvie roles) sounds like what I would expect in a day 1 post.
To be honest I don't think a baddie would've lashed out like that without knowing that he'd be put in the spotlight. I don't see MP as bad, just chill, dude
Haha, what, you think that was a threat? Dana wasn't in any way aggressive / pushy about MP. Are we actually discussing an easy lynch of Dana and not zeek or MP?fingersplints wrote:You said yourself MP is always killed early...Dana wrote:What do you mean by this? I think keys was saying Dana might be jumping on an easy target. And Dana said an easy target of who even though she only was discussing MP. So I pointed out that she said herself MP was lynched early. Someone who is always lynched early = easy target. I see where keys is coming from but I'm not sure that is where she was going with it at all. Maybe she just wanted to jump into the discussion too. And she doesn't know MP very well and he can come off pretty intense.
I actually haven't given my opinion other than I don't think it's weird for zeek to find day 0 weird since we didn't have day 0 polls on STV where zeek played. I don't find anyone overally suspicious at this point but it's still early.

If it's any help... at STV, every single person said "I'm a civvie" and it was considered suspicious to not say it. I'm honestly really surprised that Rox failed to point this out. :hmm:zeek wrote:I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but in my experience the town usually wins.
linki - STV had no such rules, at least not when I was around.
I'm not trying to defend zeek here. I honestly have no idea if he is bad, but mafia was played a bit differently on STV, so much so that players from here like Kate and SVS had a bit of trouble there. But yea, that's kind of how the games started. Your first post would be like "yay game I'm a townie." And they were big on suspicion lists. And we didn't have polls. And dead players weren't allowed to post at all. That's all I can think of for now.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 1
But, people get lynched for nothing Day 1 all the time. I don't think there is anyway you could have predicted the thread would swing this way. I think I am more surprised at your choice of target then anything. If it was nothing and not something you were seriously trying to point out, why not pick on someone not new to the site and returning to mafia after years of not playing? I don't know. Just seems a bit of a weird way to welcome someone.MovingPictures07 wrote:Zeek, my case was totally bogus, which you obviously pointed out. If every player had agreed with him, I'd be getting lynched and there would be nothing he could have done to change that. It's irresponsible play if he's a townie because I did nothing to deserve a target on my back.
The minute anyone seriously believed to me I was going to turn it onto them for agreeing with a bullshit case.
It's not irresponsible play. You tell me this: How many people think you're bad right now? In fact, I probably helped your reputation more than anyone else in this thread right now. Am I not right?

Sorry for missing the vote. Saying goodbye was rough today, and I really don't feel good. I still am way way behind but I promise I will be all caught up in the next day or two. I apologize again to everyone playing and especially the hosts. I've hosted enough to know how frustrating it is when players don't play, but I'm not usually that person and to make it up to the hosts I'm getting some Dr.Who to watch tomorrow while I catch up

I'm also going to vote this option. I don't like the sound of helping the evil time lord at Karn (you say Kolm here but I see mentions of the time lords in your description of Karn), but possible resurrection sounds like good idea. Also this option has the hostesses name in itGotrees wrote:Idk, I think right now I'm leaning towards Periboea (assuming that's what the hosts meant by Perbia). I'd also like to say this:
Turnip Head would not be allowed back into this game with knowledge of who the baddies are and as he was killed by the Master we can only assume he was a civ. So we've lost at least 3 civs out of 4 deaths.
Mister Rearranger has not replaced anyone. This could mean no one needs replacing but given the high number of inactive players I find it more likely he CAN'T sub in. As he was killed by the Daleks, he may have been a Cyberman. OR he had BTSC or could have been a secret role.

That is interesting. I'm not too sure how I feel about Roxy atm. I'm not getting overwhelmingly civvie vibes from her, but I'm worried her being sick/busy/hosting is affecting her posting and that's what feels off to me. I'll keep my eye on her for now.Turnip Head wrote:On Day 2 Roxy said goodbye/hello to new players and newly dead ones - juliets after being wrongly lynched, MR for dying the same night I did, she even found a second to say hi to Snowy - everyone except her dear old pal TH. Yay Chris!
Snow Dog!!! I did not know you were playing! Missed ya!
For what it's worth, I'm fairly certain this is keys civvie game. (Not as in I have info, just confident) I find it interesting that MP criticizes him from changing his mind (thinking him vs zeek was possibly civvie-civvie Night 0 to being suspicious of him now) when he has changed his mind more then anyone else this game. I think people should be allowed to change their mind, but I think Dom raised some excellent points here. He does seem to just be throwing out things to see what sticks and then quickly backing off.
I don't agree about Dana. I think it was SVS who mentioned she does seem to vocally defend those she thinks is civvie. I feel like I have noticed this about her too. (I do it too Dana, but it will probably get you in to some trouble if you haven't figured that out already ) I feel like she has defended several people, so while she could be teammates with one of those people, I don't find her suspicious for defending MP.
I'm not fully caught up either, but those are my thoughts where I am now.

It looks to me like a save as well. I'm not feeling great about Chris atm. His "don't make it look like I was the last to vote Epi" when he was in fact the last is strange. That leaves LC, Made, Dana, Enrique, and of course SD as the other Epi voters. (in that order)

Grotrees voted Epi after, I forgot about the in thread votes (which are listed at the end of the post after the poll results so I missed them the first time). Ok, that comment is less weird now. His question to the host still seems a bit strange how it was worded, and he could have been saving Daisy, but I'd need to know about Daisy first.fingersplints wrote:It looks to me like a save as well. Do you think dalek #2 can be "eyestalk" a dead player nightly? I'm reading up on them, and that thing on their head is called the eyestalk so maybe its just a clever Dr.Who way to say check. It's also their most vulnerable part apparently. I'm trying to look for more daleky things that could be used as verbs for them.
I'm also reading something about the Dalek-sec trying to fuse himself to a human. Not sure how/if that ties in with the experiment mentioned in the role, but it's been interesting.
For the master - I don't think the word is companion. He seems to assume this guys body, and then his "wife" finds out and is mad. At least that is my understanding.
I'm not very good at decoding. I feel like the things left are doctor who specific too :/ So I'm probably extra bad at it now

lol I said I wasn't good at it. I found a word that fit and got excited. I'll try and do some more reading later but can't guarantee I will be of any help. MP - I am not sure who is my most suspicious of atm. I need to finish reading before I commit to a top suspect. There are several that I am suspicious of, but there are so many quiet players and that makes me really uncomfortable. sabie is rising on my suspicion list. Now that I understand Enrique better I too wonder if her suspicion of Epi was not genuine and therefore she backed off to not make her look bad. I don't feel great about Elo or daisy. I'm going to specifically reread Rox because she usually only pulls the "you know me better" card as a civvie.
I am at my sisters trying to visit with her three children at the moment so hopefully I can read some later.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
thanks for your response re:Chris. Like I have said, I tend to always view him as bad.juliets wrote:splints, regarding Chris SVS expressed exactly what I see from him so far. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable is if his game is as different as he claims maybe that maniacally rubbing his hands together part of his baddie game is gone.
I will admit I'm struggling with this game so far - so many accusations that I don't feel like I can accurately sort the data fast enough. I can't believe I've played with Dom so long and still don't know his game very well. So far though the accusations against him are not attractive to me. MP I'm completely up in the air on. One thing I have noticed about him when he's bad is his thoughts/theories seem to just go into overdrive and some of the most outlandish theories surface. I remember him talking a lot (perfectly normal) but not having outlandish theories yet. I'm going back over his posts though (oh god help me) to make sure. Hedge I'm worried about especially since she promised Roxy that explanation twice and hasn't delivered.
Elo doesn't strike me as bad even though she voted for juliets 1.0 for no reason other than 'well, I guess it's Juliets today' and then said she really wasn't playing this game because of the other game. This sounds just like Elo and something she would say as a civ. No sugar coating, just 'yes, i've voting this person just because she looks like the one to vote and oh by the way I'm not really playing this game'. I believe if she were bad her baddie teammates would have helped her craft something more acceptable.
So what about made and zeek and splints (didn't someone have her on their list? why was that?) and Daisy and Bass (I'm a little worried there) and people whose names i don't remember right now? I don't know. I have a lot of re-reading to do.
linki, will read after i post
as for me being on someones list, I was on Made's # 3 spot for a "peak of interest". I'm still waiting for him to clarify what that means.
Also, I'm right there with you. (the struggling) I don't know if it's the amount of people or the amount of suspicions flying around or what, but I am having a harder time than usual too.

Are you talking about this one where you literally cut out everything I said and wrote <snip>?Made wrote:Splints, at lunch. Just caught up but not enough time to preply in full. Read the post before my previous, the one that quotes you. It pinged me, and I want to read further into it
Made wrote:Hi Dom and SVS!
Been keeping up, but I'm not feeling any suspicion right now. Dana, Mp, and Enrique are all reading civvie for me, especially since Epi died. I'm not sure if it's helping or hurting that I know all of them outside of mafia, but they're playing exactly how i'd expect them to, perserving all the tiny quirks in their behavior that seem to hint at their allignment.
I thought that the vote on Daisy was an attempt of a save on Epi, so in light of his death i'm looking more critically of the arguments against her. This, if true, caught my attention.fingersplints wrote:S~V~S wrote:I am probably going to vote for Daisy again, unless something *WOW* comes up. She had like 10 posts, mostly wishy washy buddying to MP, then when she starts taking votes she comes back, makes some 20 posts defending hard, then leaves again. Plus the feels I had previously I still have, and the Epi lynch sure as hell looked like a save to me.
<snip>
wait, svs you think daisy's lynch looked like a save for Epi or the opposite?
No real read on SVS or Dom, but gut is saying Dom, probably just because he's gunning me, so i'm ignoring it.
If I had to vote right now i'd vote Elo due to her voting patterns, but even then the thing throwing me off is that a mafia wouldn't blatantly vote group that would they?
I plan to read through the Daisy argument further on the car ride home from school.
Class period is ending, Seey'all at lunch maybe?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
Hey DF, I agree with your assessment of Elo and will also likely be voting there. In addition to these many things, what also pinged me was that she seemed to be telling Dana that knowing someone outside of mafia doesn't mean you can read them well (siting her husband as an example), but she had seemed pretty convinced of her husband's civviness the day before. I can't read everyone I know outside of mafia well, but some I can. I don't know, something about it just seemed a bit contradictory to me.DFaraday wrote:Clearly you weren't there for my LOST flipout. I can get very testy when I feel unjustly accused; in this case, the fact that Daisy had literally nothing to go on other than not liking my reason for voting in the night poll, and yet saying that I'm her top suspect because of that.MovingPictures07 wrote: I've played a lot of games with DF over the years but this seems uncharacteristic. He seems to no u Daisy and expresses a tone of outrage that I practically never see from DF. Can anyone else corroborate this for me or do you disagree?
And of course I was actually voting Daisy, but what I meant was it wasn't intended to be permanent. I just wanted to call attention to her before heading out, then come back and actually vote later. On that note, I am voting Elo based on the fact that she was part of the Juliet-wagon, then the Azure-wagon, then she made no attempt to defend herself other than "I'm always blendy", then she mysteriously survived an NK from the civ ninja.
*Votes Elo*
Also, I'm a bit curious, during the "LOST flipout" as you call it, were you a baddie or civvie? I'm not saying I suspect you atm (mainly because I agree with your thoughts on both SD and Elo) but I don't think this makes you a civvie either. I've been lynched as a civvie and gotten upset before, and I have also been lynched as baddie for incorrect reasons and been upset before.

I am the opposite. I see and appreciate the hedgie suspicion, but feel slightly more comfortable with Elo at this point. I'm voting there now. I have missed enough votes this game, and don't want to risk another, plus it can always be changed it if something compelling comes up.Roxy wrote:Linky splints - inre: Elo. yah she was on my radar at the beginning but when she responded initially I felt better about her. It says the numbers next to it, so you know the order they were placed. 2 more votes for hedge were cast, and keys switched his from Dana to MP before you voted.

Thing is, I don't have any reason to trust you or believe you are telling the truth here. There are baddie roles that can survive kills too.Elohcin wrote:I'm only restating what I already said the day after the attempted NK, nothing more. I have to think about this some. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be punished if what you claim is true.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
I don't want her to say any more? I just am undecided if I believe it at this point. I don't know her as well as you, so I don't know that she wouldn't falsely role claim like this. I'm pretty sure I remember someone else hinting at another civvie role that survives NKs. So, the options for those are dwindling.S~V~S wrote:Thats some mad formatting, Dom
Personally, I think it is very believable. My only reasoning in bringing it up after the night post was that people were all over MP for surviving, not all over Elo. I don't know that I think Elo has the balls (and I mean this in a good way, lol) to false role claim as overtly as this.fingersplints wrote:Thing is, I don't have any reason to trust you or believe you are telling the truth here. \She has implied she is one of the civ roles that might be NK resistant. That is clear. What more do you want her to say?
My standard, "just walked in the door, react to the last few posts" post.
I am going to drop a vote on Daisy, might change it later, but I may or may not have a lot of thread time tonight, my brother is having a sad, and taking care of my baby brother is more important. But I will try.
Anything anyone has specifically addressed to me that I have not addressed?
Linki~ Another post
I don't know if I am willing to risk it atm though since the hosts said lynching a civvie this time would be bad. Daisy is one of my other top suspects at this point. So I could consider a vote there, or maybe at Made for refusing to address why I am # 3 on his suspect list.

I'll add it into the mix that there's a Civvie role I know he's not due to the events of last night. Just to balance out the baddie roles we know he's not. Barring some ballsy self-kill he knew he could survive. Is there any protections revealed in any of the Cyberbullies?

SVS, Elo says she is not one of those three. At least that is how I interpret this post:
Elohcin wrote:Look harder....there are other civ roles with surviving skills.S~V~S wrote:Three civ roles appear to have the ability to potentially survive an NK on their own; Mickey, Sarah Jane and Captain Jack. So what makes it so suspish? Plus the person who attempted to kill Elo was a civvie. I am curious why her survival does not seem as bad to you.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I stand by what I said. Survived night kills are fishy. You're clearly not a cybertron, which makes you less suspish. I also have been getting civvie vibes from you in general. But you still survived a night kill.MovingPictures07 wrote:MM: Seriously? I've been talking my head off and I even mentioned once earlier to JC that I felt a bit uncomfortable talking during the night when I typically do not, so yeah... Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
I did not say her hint makes her bad. I am saying if I take the hinting out of it (since there are both civvie and baddie roles that can survive NK and I don't know if she was telling the truth) her actions in the thread and her vote history make her look bad. I've already said I am considering changing my vote since I am a bit worried about her telling the truth now that I have some reassurance that a baddie Elo is not that bold.
