I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Let's say I'm Baltic Ave. Let's further say llama lands on and buys Mediterranean Ave, my partner. In the night I find Mediterranean, snowy. Now, llama's got the card but Snowy is the card. Can snowy and I still put up houses? What are the consequences of llama having the card?

Oh I see - thats the only way to acquire properties. I've got the game in my head where you land on a property and buy it if you want it. THanks FZ.!

I shouldnt say only way because people could want to trade or put a property up for sale, except their original property, and I think thats allowed too.

Lol, this game is already beyond me. Why is it a bad thing to have a third die roll when you are rolling for whatever turn the die is applied to? And the Chance choice is just you can give someone else a chance card? Why is that worth $500 to Epi? Or is he kidding?

And now for a normal mafia question, Epig why did you vote for Eloh? Does this mean you already know that she is a baddie this game? (For those who may not understand this question, Epi usually tells us whether Elo is good or bad and he's been right every time but one.)

As others have said, I am likely to be more conservative with my money. I can't tell yet but I'm hoping this first round of bidding cant be sustained throughout the game at these levels. We'll see. One thing is for sure: it's going to take me a couple of rounds to get comfortable with what is going on.

Can someone tell me what this means:

6. LoRab = 12 (6+6), Electric Company (roll is 3+1=4*10, EC gets $40 from bank, learns role).

Does that mean the person who is the Electric Company (which i believe is a utility thus a baddie) learns Lorab's role? I don't remember reading that anywhere but I can't think of anything else it means.

I'm not voting for either Epi or Long Con today. Instead, I'm going to randomize among the people who did not give a reason for their vote. I will give it a little more time (probably a couple of hours) and then vote. If in the meantime something better comes up I will go with it.

Ok. I've given time for Made to come back and defend himself. Usually I would give it overnight but the more I look at that post the more I feel it is really a slip and maybe that's why he hasn't been back. SVS also makes a good point that he understood the mechanics enough to start bidding immediately so that bites into my thought that maybe he's confused. Finally, the only other person I would vote at this point is MM for not explaining his vote and not answering when I asked him why. Voting for MM would just spread the vote and i don't feel like that's what I want to do.

FZ. if I understood what boo said the payout on the railroad will not show up as double the amount, it will show up as just the regular amount so as not to out the person.

MM you say you are trying to bid up the price so the baddies will have to pay a lot for it but your bids are actually behind everyone else's because you don't have the $200 add in. Help me understand why you are bidding, it could have been something I missed.

I feel like maybe I have all this information slightly scrambled because some people are saying things that don't make sense to me.

Single master list, plus leaving it there so a number isn't missing makes more sense to me. Sorry if it's confusing (I guess the strikeout doesn't carry over?).

She could have been one of the utilities though.

Thank you for reminding me Metalmarsh that the utilities cant be nk'd by the rr's. So much detail to remember in this game.

Epig seems to be down the most, at -$500, from his big bid on the Chance card (will you let us know when you use it, Ep? Are you using it yourself or someone else? Ha, I just thought of another reason Epig could give for the early big bid. Maybe the baddies will consider him 'closer to bankruptcy' and avoid wasting their nightkill on a player that is so much closer to death.

LC I had $275 for Hedgie so went back and checked when I saw your $375. It is indeed $275 in the thread, bid was made right before end of period. Would there have been some reason $100 would have attached to the $275 that maybe I'm not thinking of?

Oh yes, she did. I was just looking at expenditures on property and powers but I guess I should fold in the board too. My spreadsheet is too big already.

Right now I'm looking at three things:
1. Why there are votes for Lorab - I need to go back and revisit why people might think she's bad, I sure don't see that. She was right on the money with Elo's trying to build a case where there was nothing and i completely understand what she was saying to Epi. I would not vote for Lorab but might consider voting someone who voted her depending on what I find.
2. Eloh - the things she brought up about me were contrived and it's unlike a civ Elo to try and bring up a case. I have to re-read what else she has had to say and decide whether this is worth a vote.
3. Metalmarsh - all I have is gut feel about Metalmarsh. I'm re-reading him to try and find what might be giving me those gut feelings that he is bad. I very rarely vote on gut but I'm willing to if my feeling is strong enough.

A note on FZ - I have considered voting for her but she is asking us to lynch her. In my experience that is not a baddie move because if she were on a baddie team they would ask for her to wait and be replaced.

TH those are my thoughts now but I'm open to other ideas. What are your thoughts at the moment?

Sounds to me like 2 people who have played several games together over the years seeing where the other stands. And is it really jumping on a bandwagon if the person is actually bad and slipped up, fairly blatantly (I will make a chubbz/vanilly/smells like danhm reference here for the 5-ish players that might chuckle at that). I have no read on either of them, but I don't think this exchange makes them look bad.

Hint how many people were on team pretty much admits you're bad. So. Yeah.

By diverting attention to JC and BR, it seems she was trying to drop seeds of suspicion on them, hoping for a second bandwagon, and not have to actually defend Made. Which, by the way, she doesn't mention the slip at all in her post--which is odd. And to accuse JC of bandwagoning--when, in fact, there was clear reason to vote for Made, just doesn't make sense.

She makes a case out of 2 players who have played a lot together and have similar thought processes often, asking for each other's opinions early in the game. That doesn't seem odd to me at all. It seems even less reason for suspicion.

Right now, Elo is my biggest suspicion.

The person I am mostly looking to right now is juliets, now I am nor familair with the style juliets normally plays, but looking through the posts I find it weird that most of them are either questions directed at other players who they find suspicous without really contributing anything substantial or info about votes and/or money. HannaK, my mafia style is to ask questions. Also, I got lynched once for being too nice. These two things are hallmarks of my style, i.e., regardless of my alignment I ask a lot of questions - that's how I process information - and I am normally polite when playing. You can ask the people who play with me often and I'm pretty sure they will say the same. I'm not sure what you mean about revealing anything about myself - did you read the post I just posted about who I am thinking about right now?

Speaking of that TH, TH there is one other person who has caught my eye depending on how he answers my question and that is llama. I forgot to include that in my last post.

first of all, I didn't say I didn't want BTSC, I said I didn't want BTSC with BADDIES. And funny you mention Epi b/c that is the person I searched for first (sorry if I am not allowed to mention that.

Next, Juliets, I read that post.....I don't see where I defend Made at all. I didn't even MENTION Made. It was Day 1, yes? I was voting where I saw a bit of suspicion, that is all. Again, it was day 1!

Elo, I think I recently read where Lorab explained the made-as-your-teammate component of her case. If I had time I would go back through her posts to find it for you but I'm now into making dinner and trying to re-read a couple of people. Look at her last few posts and I think you'll find it.
