Mmmm crepes. With Nutella of course. Nutella + strawberries is pretty good. Though I've had some good savory crepes as well. Depends what I'm in the mood for and whether I'm looking for breakfast or lunch or dessert


What's your favorite food truck?

Hard to say. There are so many good ones in Portland. I usually go for something Middle Eastern or Asian. I love me a good lamb shawarma and a bubble tea.


What's your favorite ethnic cuisine?

Thai... or Indian... or Syrian, or Greek, or sorry I am so bad at choosing things I just love food


What Greek food do you usually get?

There just happens to be an awesome little Syrian place near me. The lamb shawarma is TO DIE FOR. It is seriously the best thing ever, warm with tahini and just makes me want more and I start drooling every time I think about it >_> Also the meat pie appetizers are good (there are spinach and feta ones too for your veggie tastes), and the rosewater pudding for dessert is SO GOOD mmmm. I've also been to a couple Lebanese restaurants, pretty similar.

Well I wanted to bump this thread but it doesn't even end in a question Interesting linguistic discussion though!

What are the, let's say 3, languages you'd most like to learn?

Gosh. Does it have to be a real object that exists currently in the world? Or can it be a hypothetical/fantastical item?
If the latter, probably a Cloak of Invisibility, or some kind of magical device
If the former, man I have no idea of even what category of thing I should be thinking of. Big question, that.

If you were to design a map of a fictional landmass, what features would it include?

Hm that's surprisingly tough. I'm gonna go with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Meh


What's a musical genre you've recently gotten more interested in?

Oh, SO much, lol. We have a lot of inside jokes and nonsense words... probably half of conversations between my mom, my brother and me would make little sense to others. Hard to pick a specific thing to answer that question though.


Do you use made-up words a lot or with certain people?

Eating kiwis whole (with the skin). And probably several weird food combinations

I could pick almost any of them though we have such a great selection. I love all of LC's.

Nah not really, just stability


What's your favorite little way to treat yourself (e.g. starbucks, a hot bath, a guilty pleasure tv show or something)

So many possible answers, lol. Let's go with microwaveable mug brownies. Fast and easy but I can make them really gooey and delicious.


Do you like to fidget with small objects or certain textures?

Cut my hair shorter and dye it teal


Have you ever made pottery?

I suppose so. Nothing super fancy, but I could count it.

Do you still have a few artifacts saved from elementary school?

Nah not really, but I do like most pistachio flavored things (ice cream, macarons, etc)

Teal/various shades of blue and green.

What's your go-to everyday breakfast?

Do you make an effort to use coupons?

Whitewater rafting. I've done it a few times and loved it. Skydiving terrifies me and would probably make me sick.

Have you kept up with your new year's resolution(s) until now (if you had any)?

OMG Indi I forgot you were a fan too, are you in their discord??? If not you so should be, they are really friendly with fans and there's a bunch of cool other people who hang out in it, also definitely listen to their podcast if you haven't (so many fun stories about the band and I feel like I know them as people now). Also I've gotten to see them twice!! They are so amazing

Uhm I don't really watch TV or listen to radio when it's airing, but I stream shows and listen to podcasts a lot. Last show I watched was Leverage and last thing I listened to was The Adventure Zone.

Who/what was the most recent act you saw live (music or theater or otherwise)?

White if I have to choose but I'll drink any wine that appears in front of me


Best cocktail you've had in the last year?

Mmm I got a really good one last week that was banana pudding and cho-coco-mel (an amazing coconut milk ice cream from a place here that's absolutely the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had). There's another place around here that has earl grey blueberry which is another all time favorite. But if I start listing all my favorite milkshakes I'll never stop....

What's your favorite culinary aroma?

Oooooof that's a hard one. The Gymnast High Above the Ground is up there (heh) for sure. But also everything off of The Crane Wife.


What's your favorite writing implement to use?

Black Pilot G2 .07mm. Fierce proponent of them since seventh grade.


What's the best dinner you made in the last week?

I felt half asleep most of the day. Like I had a hard time waking up and maybe my sleep cycle was messed up just the right amount such that I spent the first half of my work day strongly wishing I were back in bed. Otherwise pretty average work day.


What's the most exciting thing you have received in the mail in the last week or two?

Ooooof think I have to go with ribs

I've never seen the godfather either lol Also never saw the third star wars (took me til college to see any of them). Probably could name several other big ones


What's your biggest unpopular opinion about a movie?

Omg, sooo many. Reply All might be my #1, it's so funny and engaging. Other favorites include 99% Invisible, Gastropod, Hidden Brain, Twenty Thousand Hertz, Endless Thread, ....I could go on and on lol I've archive binged so many at this point. So many cool stories!!

Weirdest/funniest thing you have learned about this week?

Btw we have much shared taste in veggies

Ick, not a fan of either. Grape is slightly less bad I guess. Black cherry is supreme.

Have you developed any new habits since the new year and if so what?

Wood/brown. I guess i wouldn't mind colors, but preferably earth tones/nothing too garish and nothing too... cutesy, idk. Dark generally preferred over light.

What's your favorite outdoor activity?

Top notch. Unless you're posting while driving....


What do you usually wear to bed? (asking that isn't like, weird or anything is it..... lol i am bad at thinking of questions )

There are classes I wished I didn't take and several I wish I did take, but it's hard to avoid missing out on cool stuff because so many classes sounded so cool. Also, relationship drama freshman year lol -- ultimately it resulted in my current relationship which is a great outcome, but I do really wish I had gone about it differently at the time.


What is the household object you have the most sentimental attachment to/would be upset if it got broken or lost?

In general I'm pretty obsessed with umami/savory lately. Like that's what I usually crave. I guess that's broad but not sure what kind of answer you were looking for


Do you have any allergies and if so what?

In February I won a potted plant from a raffle at a volunteer appreciation party at the place I volunteer(ed before The Times). It's a spathiphyllum or "peace lily" and it was beautiful when I got it but I'm bad with plants and it got a little sad-looking but looks like it's doing better now out on the balcony.

What's your favorite spice?

Well, I suppose it's at least in part because, once upon a time in the distant past, my mommy and my daddy apparently gave a shit about each other.

What's your most distinctive facial feature?

Soooo hard to pick just one, I have many favorites. Gonna give Crossroads a shoutout, it's not big and flashy but it can be incredible in some combos.

good amount, probably like 4-5 refills of my favorite huge glass
