the little time i had today i skimmed here and publish a bit in roger rabbit cause was so invested in that game (more than 300 messages) and just ended today. so much happened behind the scenes with me that i wanted to comment. Im still behind here, ended up on page 9 yesterday and didnt have time to read today, im on my hometown and playing with my little niece (or is nephew? dont remember how its called in english, it is a girl) and being full time auntie is really consuming my time, but im doing my best

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 2]

You know what sucks about being starting a game when they are already 20 pages on it?
People expect you to come and give and opinion tova thread when you do the "catch up". The catch up will be finished in a couple of days and at that point the thread will be at least 30 pages long. Probably more at the rate this thread is going.

So you are reading (me, for example, are reading page 12), and you see somethings that ping you, but since you dont know what happened next, you dont know how that turned out. Maybr the player that is pinging you got replaced, maybe the ping evaporates later. Who know what kind of crazyness can happen in a few pages?

And this game is full of it. Crazyness. Im on page 12 and i ve seen many things worth noticing. So i decided im gonna comnent on them while i see them.

The task of comenting on over 30 or 40 pages when thread had evolved and chnaged direction many times seems like an impossible task, imo. So i decuided im gonna comment about what im seeing qhile i see it.

First, i ve read all the bf thing. Him getting suspicion, im reading him as civvie. I ve also read golden as civ.
Then, it came the mp thing. Br comment didnt seem that much, but hid reaction to everything was sooooooooooooo over the top. Im on page 12 and bu now he has been reacting extreeeeeeeeemely overeacting. I dont think i ever seen such a huge overeactiob in mafia history. If i would have been playing this game at that point, i would have been :eye: :eye: :eye: him like crazy. He took it personal and talked about being insulted and being replaced and reacted in a way that had nothing to do with what was going on in thread. I didnt see anyone unsulting mp, no one was even going very hard against him.

But his reaction?? Wow wow wow

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 2]

Fwiw, i dont even know if he is still playing or got rrplaced, since in his tantrum he is talking about being replaced and yada yada.

After seeing how mp is capable of faking huge tantrums that are over the top and fooled almost everyone in roger rabbit, i of course dont believe any of it. Less so this tantrum, that didnt even made srnse cause it came out of NOWHERE.

But, i dont even know if he is still playing qt this point. But i had to mention all this

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 2]

voting MM

theres no freaking way i have time to catch up you people talk waaaaay waaaaay too much and im like 25 pages behind, so, yeah

from what i ve seen skimming the last few pages, he mightr be the baddie who gets more powerful the more votes he gets unless he gets lynched, and i see everyone went that way so i will

i have been in a trip on my familys home in other city and been crazy busy taking care of my 1 year old gorgeous sweet niece, barely being able to keeping up from long distance work (actually im behind), and trying to read all the pages i was behind when i started. i was 20 pages behind when i started, and, even though i read at nightime and got to page 12, you guys kept advancing at an insane speed rate and im way more behind now. i should be able to improve my speed and time of reading when i return to BA tomorrow, but since tomorrow i will be travelling by bus, and then in the uni, then thursday is the real day i may be able to keep up, or ill do my best to. for now this is all i can do.

Long Con wrote:It starts with a Will that blindfaeth revealed, believing that it implicated the Will's writer as The Millionaire, due to there being a large sum of money involved. (Correct me with exact wording if that's not quite right). A lot of blah blah blah ensued regarding the wisdom and purpose and probable effect of revealing the Will. It ended up with BF getting a few votes, and BF revealed that Zombarella's name is on the Will. Then BF was lynched, a Civvie.

S~V~S was the first to vote BF, so she got possession of the Will. S~V~S said the Will says something more along the lines of "The holder of the Will will get [Zomba's] items when she dies".

That's how I remember that stuff without going back to see the exact quotes.
Oh well, this would have been helpful when i adked for it, i spent hours reading pages and im still way behind.
Thanks lc even if it was for bass.

It is really really really hard to replace in a game that haves so much goin on so fast, specially when you have so muvm Going on in your life atm

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [NIGHT 2]

Golden wrote:Lol SVS, I feel the same way you do. I'm not sure how to recap this thread, especially not without it sounding like its based on my own suspicions and not a recap.

Bass, and Sophie - what I would say is that so far this game appears to be a lot of tension and suspicions going back and forth between discrete people. There hasn't been a whole lot of fact or stuff to cling on to. I would summarise the key points as being.

1) Whoever holds the will when Zombs dies gets something that Zombs owns. Maybe it's a large sum of money or maybe it's a small sum of money or maybe it's her items that she holds. Based on what bf and SVS have had to say (and the fact they can't reproduce the wording of the will exactly) it's hard to tell exactly what they will get. I tend to think getting the items she holds makes more sense in the context of the game (but - thats me recapping with my own lens on). BF was lynched for revealing the purpose of the will and then told us the will was zombs will. Oh, another suspicion I personally have - I dunno that the will has been executed and I wouldn't be surprised if the lawyer has to execute it before it will actually function.

2) Lots of people seem to have taken a bit of heat, its hard for me to say who. In fact, it doesn't really seem like anyone has escaped the eye entirely.

3) There has been some talk about the items. I can't recap all of it. Ear horns seem to give info, bottle seems to curse people, I might have forgotten some stuff.

4) Can I suggest a good way to do a read back would be to pick out some specific people when you think they are noteworthy and think about their posts. That might be more enlightening than trying to read the thread wholesale.

5) One important thing. BR died. BR is now bea, not herself. That's kinda confusing, but true. I'm not sure how LC feels about it.

6) The celestials appear not to be a threat to the town.

Please feel free to add anything I've missed, people.

this is really very useful, thanks so much, golden :hugs:

Another thing I picked up on in day 1.

One thing some of you may not know about me - I studied performance music at university. I've lived in the world of classical music for most of my life. I know a lot of composers by sight.

None of them are Modest Mussorgsky... so how the heck did Epi know that??????? And also, why would Epi call his music that of a somnambulist? Some of his music is fantastic. Anyway, you might note Mussorgsky is one of the pictures that one of the mafia has put on their silencer role. If ever there was a piece of WIFOM, this is it. Epi's next line 'why would I draw attention to the fact I know the identity of one of the mafia pictures if I am mafia'???

Anyway, I found that curious indeed.

wait, if im understanding this correctly, you are saying that epi brought up the name of some obscure composer that even you dont know by sight, and then the pic of that composer appeared in one of the roles of mafia?
if i understood that correctly than wow

Very grim for Zomba, I say reluctantly. Sometimes that's how games go.

I would be careful. We can discuss what we got. BF did, and was lynched. What if it is powerful and so the baddies would kill you for it? It's a risk. It also seems that we can't exactly quote the PM so you have to think do you understand it well enough to rephrase it? I'm happy to help you understand it if you go for it, but if I were you I'd just check whether you think it's something you might get killed for, and only do it if you are ok taking a risk.
ah, ok, so mongoose did say something about it. ok, i get your post. thanks for paying attention to me, golden, sometimes its hard to sub in because everyone is talking so engaged in things i dont fully get and its like a alternative reality of some sort. you know how i am and how i play as a civvie: im super engaged in games, im a high poster, i like to play that way, i dont like to skim on things or just go with the flows, its just the way i like to do it. and since i misssed quite a few pages im failing to understand so i appreciate that you are answering my questions.

I don't know if I'm completely misunderstanding the situation or if Zomberella outed herself but if that's the way to take it I guess I'm going to put my vote on her today. I'm not feeling confident enough about voting a self-voter yet even though I still find it odd. I really wish I had more time to see how this plays out for the next 10 hours. :sigh:
I don't think he expected a spectacle. Where we used to play, there was a higher tolerance for the wink wink nudge nudge usage of info.

And there are two roles that could be ruined by this, one a civ, one bad. Regardless of which she is, her game is ruined through no fault of her own.

im sorry guys, that i come from the past and bring this up. but in page 16 svs said this and its a good opportunity to ask something i still dont get.

I thought BF might have been witholding something, but he was not.
Interesting, it sounds like BF might have been reading too much into the will. That does not explain Zombas reaction to her name being said. What do you think about that SVS?
so, let me see if im understanding this correctly. bf recieved a will that says it will inherit everything zomba has if she dies. according to svs here, it doe NOT says she is wealthy. svs also says here that the message doesnt indicate a specific role.

BUT then zombas reaction to bf said he ruined her ROLE. why? if the message didnt indicate any role? this reaction definetely means she has a role direcrlt related to money, such as oliver oliver the civvie or the millonaire the baddie

am i wrong about this?

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 3]

ok. im sorta catch up with the part of the game i wasnt here, so i think i understand most of what happened back then

now i need to reread the part i WAS here, cause i was reading but sorta skimming in parts, specially cause i didnt have time to do both (read present and past), so i guess i will be rereading the last 10 pages or so tomorrow and will finally be catched up

until now, gotta say, i have my eye on dom and mp (now bass), basically for the same reasons: they kinda overeact and blew things out of proportion when being suspected

im also wary of zomba and the possibility she is the millonaire for her role outing comment, but nothing huge

i need to rea carefully liz keen since a lot of people have been mentioning her

well, enough for today

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 1]

ah, also, when reading the thread in this part today, i opened a tab and let it rest until i finished my catchup to come back to this, cause i found myself agreeing with him (the dom thing that pings me is what happened after this comment by df, specificially the golden back and forth with dom, but mostly dom behaviour overall) .

and i remember daniel faraday in some games in RM and he was smart, logical, and made good observations

so what i mean with this is: daniel faraday, can you post more? give opinions on everything thats going on? cause your posts really are clear and unseful and i would love to hear your observations about everything :nicenod:

DFaraday wrote:Ugh, all this BF/Golden/SVS/Bullz/Zomberella/Whoever Else stuff is mind boggling. As it stands to me though, I think BF was probably an overexcited civ who made a bad decision. I don't think a baddie would create such a spectacle around themselves. I don't really see anyone in this conflict as particularly suspicious, just a whole lot of butting heads.

I do think it was a bit odd for Dom to specifically point out "us", but not enough to find him actively suspicious.

What I'm most concerned about is that so any people have already voted with so much time left in the lynch. I'm thinking at least one or two of the voters are trying to avoid responsibility, either by self voting or by jumping on the BF bandwagon.

EBWOP: MM, I don't think anyone is picking on you, since it is noteworthy when people vote for themselves. But since you do this a lot, I'm less inclined to think you bad for it here.

I do not have Epi down as civvie, but I'm not willing to lynch someone helping try to find baddies, Liz.

You seem to back peddle on everything you say Liz and that is very incriminating IMO.
What is she backpedalling about?

If you don't think Epig is a Civvie, then what makes you think he's actually trying to find baddies?
Are these some sort of joke questions?

Read her posts, she is back peddling on a lot of things. I'm not your secretary. I f you don't think she is back peddling on what she has brought up I have to wonder about your sanity and or allegiance.

I don't have Epi down a civvie or indy or a baddie. I think he is looking for baddies as I agree with some of his thoughts. What's your point exactly?

Im not your secretary :haha: :haha: :haha:

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 3]

I kind of read zombad reaction as a frustrated civ, but i could be wrong since im often wrong about this. Is there a posdibilty she is teææing the truth, though? It reminds me of when im wrongfully accused by many (like in rr) and the frustration thatvbrings

I covet Tom Keen. I used to think he was nerdy but now that he's a bad boy he's kinda hot. I don't know anyone who watches it but you two.

SVS, you must be getting up as I go to bed.

I'm really stuck between a rock and a hard place here. If I don't vote Zombarella and she gets lynched and flips bad then I'm going to be accused of being her teammate. If I vote her and she flips civvie then I'm helping lynch another civvie. This really sucks.[/quote]

As a civvie you dont have to think in "what looks good", you have to say what you think and claim whatever you think even if it goes against whatever the rest of the thread thinks.
If they wanna lynch you for it, its they loss, they would lynch a civvie. But maybe your thoughts would be revisited later and they could help the civvies.
At least thats how i play when im civ. Thats why im usually a suspicion every game, and thats why y always tend to survive till the late stages of the game, cause the baddies know they can bring me up for suspicion.

The ONLY times i care about "how things look" and try to really appear civvie, is when im bad. As a baddie i try to be consistent and not to say things "out of tune".

I think the best thing to do for civvies is speak their mind even if they get super suspected because of it

Btw, where is daniel faraday??

Canucklehead wrote:I was never on board with the LizKeen case, so I'm not voting there.
I had strongly considered voting Z, but I think SVS' assessment of her not likely having BTSC this game is pretty sound, so I won't vote there.
I thought Epi's case on LK was....not convincing, but I'm not sure why a bad Epi would push so hard against a player so early....considering a vote there.
LC is LC and I have no particular reason to think he's bad right now, but I don't know if I've ever read LC correctly. I'm not voting there unless something really compelling comes up.
TH seems like civ TH to me.
I think that MP/Bass is an interesting spot to look. I will reread there and maybe consider a vote.
I would consider a vote for Vomps.

What about dom?
