Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]
I'm going to be busy as crap for the next 36 hours or so seeing the family, going to my brother's show, and setting up the cocktail party of my dreams (I might have nearly an hour tomorrow afternoon or realllllly late tonight to spare for checking/keeping up. Big might.) So, with that being said:
I have no doubt Epi drank 14 beers without being drunk. Silly, but not drunk. Nice thought process though. I like the hunting. Keep it up.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I hate Days 1. To me, it's the same discussion of the same things (to vote or not to vote low posters, to vote or not to vote newbies, to randomize or not to randomize), although this one has been very amusing and has added discussion of those godforsaken rainbow lists for something newer. Point is, it never really helps me decide on who to vote for. (Did that sound bitter? I'm not trying to come off that way - it's just a bit of Blooper stream of consciousness.)
I don't want to vote for a stand-out, silly person today because a number of baddies like to keep to the shadows in the first parts of the game - say enough to contribute, but not enough to stand out. I think timmer fits the bill here. He's contributed, but nothing controversial, a bit playful at times to keep the mood light, and this post caught my eye:

He's latching on to some easy pickings here - MM's weird vote (when is MM's vote not weird/"weak" Day 1? I'm surprised he didn't vote himself!), the whole drunk or not drunk matter (again, good thought process, but too easy to latch to), and pointing out Scotty's reaction to attention like he hasn't played with Scotty before (he has). I gots things to do, veggies to chop, and places to drive, so I'll put my vote there now. Let the accusations flytimmer wrote:Hey all, so reading back, I've got decent vibes from SVS (the point about Epig maybe not being drunk is interesting), I'm not sure I understand voting for Long Con, so MM gets a bit of a from me, as it was pointed out that the reasoning was weak. Scotty seems to be not enjoying the attention he is getting... do people who know his play style well have an opinion on whether this indicates a certain alignment?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 2]
I'm back! And caught up!
People catching my eye for reasons:
Timmer - Same reasoning as I gave before. The substance of his posts hasn't really changed much since my last accusation. He said he's gone for the weekend, but his participation was still weaker than I remember in other games before he left.
Cookie - Posts insubstantially at first, as has been pointed out many times. When criticized/suspected for it, she attempts to post questions, comments, etc. of substance that really look like fluff to me (e.g., "I see G-Man is insanified." Really now?). I didn't get to play much in Watchmen but I have been following somewhat, and Cookie's tone/substance looks very similar, especially when it actually is compared side by side. I don't know how people are seeing marginally different tones between the games.
Made - His tone and scarcer posting reminds me majorly of DW - more serious, a little more snarky, a lot less playful, and he was a bad, bad baddie.
I will likely vote for one of these lovely players today.
I also dig the idea of a newbie/fairly newbie being on Team Killface due to the NK - not that I don't think Eloh is an awesome player but she really isn't ever killed Night 1. It's an unusual choice. But then again, that could make a helluva WIFOM. Just thought of that. I'll keep it all in mind.
Linki - Oh God DH don't call Epi a professor - his ego's big enough as it is!

Feeling slightly, slightly better about Made regarding tone, but that could be just him fixin' it up for me Thoughts on timmer haven't changed since I last spoke of him. Then this happens:

This game is the greatest. I have never loved catching up more
I don't feel as confident as you seem to be, sir, but I think you make good points about her staunchly not voting newbies - it gives her (and anyone else who takes that stance) an excuse never to vote a newbie on his/her team. Also, there was this:Epignosis wrote:I would like to hear nijuukyugou's take on Roxy and vice versa.
Although my response was a little confusing (I should've responded directly to Cookie's quote, but wanted to agree with Roxy's comment regarding said quote), she was keen to point out her stance on not voting newbies again when I didn't even bring it up. Something to consider.Roxy wrote:Thats bc it was Day 1 and even though Cookie was not on my list I realized I had no prior experience with her. Ugh, sorry I've been neglecting this thread lately. I had to go to new employee orientation today, even though I'm not a new employee, from 8-3. I haven't gone to sleep before 1 AM since June. It was just fabulous. I've been keeping up somewhat, but I'd like to go back and read more carefully a little later and vote (I have several things to do today, but I'll have an hour or so somewhere in between to post more substantially).

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 3]
Okay, this is my hour. Or half hour. Let's do this.
Epi would do it. He has done it. He'd do it again, too. But I dunno if he'd do it again so soon. He's not a one-trick pony. Just tricky.
Why is sig (and anyone for that matter, but I notice sig more) going after Saberfish so hard? Perhaps I missed it in context, but I didn't see what pinged him in his posts. I expected to see something much worse based on his strong suspicion. This is an actual question, not an accusation.
So, re-reading, it looks like Roxy really is a good candidate today. Epi made some good points, and once I noticed and thought about her vote yesterday (especially her need to reiterate multiple times that she doesn't vote newbies Day 1, but Day 2 is cool). I had more to say, but my head hurts from lack of sleep and I need to pack and get on the road soon. Voting Roxy.
No. I mentioned his recent tone made me feel slightly better about him yesterday, and his second vote on Cookie makes me think otherwise. I don't remember Made's style being bussing a (fairly) newbie teammate so early.MovingPictures07 wrote:nijuukyugou, is Made your top mafia read going into today? If so, why? If not, why, and who is?

Re: Frisky Dingo [NIGHT 3]
Okay, I've caught up and I have two questions:Roxy wrote: Blooper - You still have not acknowledged my response and completely ignored SVS. I will be focusing on you next lynch and also looking at MP and his schtick.
1) Which response of yours are you referring to? I am happy to respond to it, but I want to make sure I know what you want acknowledged.
2) When did I ignore SVS? I made my vote in the very small window of time I had, and the only thing that SVS said in regards to it was "so you're jumping on the bandwagon." Errrr...yes I was last out of four, but no, I made a vote for who I felt strongest about in the time I had?
On another note:
I'm not sure why you're calling my vote "late" on Cookie. I was first to vote her, and I was 8th to vote overall. Trying to paint me in a bad light with little falsehoods, eh? Or just not doing your homework.HamburgerBoy wrote: nijuu also placed a late vote on Cookie without a ton of explanation, but in light of the flip it would of course mean a bus rather than a bandwagon.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 5]
I don't like or even understand the way it's being "explained" that Daisy/Russ is bad. That point has been beaten to death, so I won't comment on it further. I can see it from the perspective of the fact that suddenly Killface is killing after Wendell's death, and Russ subbed in (as in, Killface is an active player), but that's about it. I don't see it jumping out at me from Daisy's posts.
Let's make it interesting. We want close between Saberfish and Russ? I can dig it. I can see a team of newbie baddies, but one of them is surely active (but I suppose "active" doesn't mean "veteran," so...) I'll vote Saberfish and see how others vote. I'm feelin' lucky.

Tough call. I thought it would be easier to pick from fairly active players , but there are more than I thought. Like I said last round, the only way I clearly see Russ as possibly bad is that he was suddenly active, and killface made kills I can't easily check vote records via phone, and that's what I like to look at. What do you want?

This is how you tell a joke.
A woman and her baby are on a bus. A man gets on the bus and says to the lady, "Ma'am, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but that's got to be the ugliest baby I've ever seen." The woman is understandably upset at this, and begins crying so loudly that the bus driver stops and puts her off.
While she's still sobbing on the bench, another man comes and sits down. He asks her what's the matter, and she says, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAA! WHAAAAAAAAAAA!" So the man gets an idea. He leaves and comes back with something for the lady to drink. "Listen lady," the fella says. "Take this brandy. It'll calm you down, and then you can tell me what's wrong. And look! I even brought a banana for the monkey."
And that's how you tell a joke, Jack.

Sig
1 - Misses vote
2 - Saberfish (2)

SVS
1 - MM (1)
2 - Daisy (only)
3 - Nijuu (only)
4 - Misses vote
5 - Russti (1)
6 - Saberfish (3)
So, two things stand out to me that I didn't notice before. One, if Saberfish is bad, he voted twice for teammates. His pattern of missing votes doesn't exactly match up to Killface's NK record, either, but neither action (or lack thereof) is unheard of for a baddie, just unlikely. However, sig has voted Saberfish multiple times, and by doing so has avoided actually voting on any known baddie lynches; the only other person he voted for was an indy.
Linki - Why isn't sig in your analysis? Did I miss something?
I'mma break it down for myself, vote-wise.
Epignosis
1 - Cookie (1)
2 - Cookie (3)
3 - Roxy (1)
4 - HamburgerBoy (only)
5 - Russti (2)
6 - Russti (4 and last)
Roxy
1 - MM (3 and last)
2 - Cookie (4)
3 - Made (2)
4 - Misses vote
5 - Saberfish (3)
6 - Russti (1)
Saberfish
1 - Mac's Mom (only)
2 - Cookie (4)
3 - Made (4)
4 - Misses vote
5 - Russti (3)
6 - Misses vote
Sig
1 - Misses vote
2 - Saberfish (2)
3 - Made (3)
4 - Misses vote
5 - Saberfish (1)
6 - Saberfish (1)
SVS

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 7]
I am of the mind that whoever is Killface is more actively involved than Saberfish. I have read the evidence and have been thinking about it (agonizing, really) all day.
Killface is likely one of the three Russ voters mentioned.
Saberfish is not active enough for me, and voted two teammates out.
Epi would throw teammates under the bus, but two is less likely, and I also don't believe he'd kill his wife Night 1 (that sounds TERRIBLE!).
SVS's vote yesterday was super-weird, and makes sense from a baddie perspective - vote Russ when you know he'll survive, then avoid voting for him and create a more difficult situation. Her going after Daisy/Russ for so long, however, does stand out, too, but it still could fit with that, knowing the survival mechanism and wasting a lynch for the civs.
I'm gonna vote SVS, because it feels like the best choice out of those, and I'm NOT ignoring my logic this time around :P Y'all can duke it out how you want with that.

Re: Frisky Dingo ENDGAME
I see now why I got two doubles for checks. Just checked SVS Night 6 and she came up Mr. Ford, but so did Roxy a few nights previous. I also checked Epi and sig, who both came up as Grace Ryan. I was afraid I'd end up lynching an indy, but I took my chances (hence the agonizing). Huzzah!

Re: Frisky Dingo ENDGAME
Well, I kept thinking like I was civ, if that helps! But I wanted to make sure I had enough of my buddies alive to win in the end, so I was quite pleased with all of the head explosionsEpignosis wrote:I just assumed you were any of the possible remaining civilians. I just realized I was the ONLY civilian to win.
