Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 0)

Pleasure to meet everyone. My name is DrWilgy and I am most definitely a doctor.

I see some familiar faces, and some new friends here. Let's all have fun playing together.

Freedom of choice, everyone is free to talk about whatever makes then feel they are playing
I voted for unfurl the moment I read this, but I'm still in the process of learning what I can about this site and it's players. I generally don't involve myself to heavily day one, but I am willing to vote for someone who posts as if they are wanting to appear while not contributing anything. From what I've experienced, players like that do nothing but make the game harder to solve. I'd take someone who doesn't speak at all over someone who speaks too much while saying nothing.

Now, to address how I would recruit... (and yes, do make a chart, I enjoy charts)

If I were to recruit as a baddie and had the free options to recruit whomever, my recruits would be solely for mindgames. An example of this would be, if I were TinyBubbles and recruiting another player I would recruit would be Llama. I would pick the players that would cause the most confusion and chaos, even if it meant recruiting some players only to sacrifice them.

If I were to recruit as a civvie and had the free options to recruit whomever, my recruits would be players that are very much active in the thread, and are known for strong civ play.

*Stands up from his chair and starts some slow music* Now Unfurl, will you take my hand and join me in this dance?

Got em! JJJ is obviously a baddie tracker

I do hope I am color coding everything appropriately. A question for anyone, on average how long does it take before players start putting in their votes? Is the fact that I voted first when I did unsettling to anybody? If so, then why?

I am, it is quite unsettling, the possibility of someone being unsettled by the timing of my vote, but what is worse is the unsettling caused by this conversation about the state of unsettlement.

No, not really. Just making sure I don't go around committing taboos. I would look at older games to learn more if I had time, hopefully I can do so when my schedule clears up.

BWT, this has been explained previous. Actually this has been explained previous multiple times now. I'm from JTM, and the fact that you somehow missed multiple accounts of that explanation bothers me.

I have a new angle. We have information, it's the contest. Does anyone know if anyone else here would be considered artsy? If so who would that artsy person find the challenge to be more enticing to participate in for strictly the compitition? I suppose what I'm asking is, who would want to enter that challenge? Who has a history of wanting to be a baddie? :ponder:

Can people verify if SVS is artsy in specific for me as well?

ok - so your question was about svs being aritstic right? I don't know her to be personally so, but as others have pointed out. Good google images searches make that a moot point really...I personally can't make a *bad* paint drawing as well as like well - others not playing this game, but I know how google images search works....

As to wheither I think she is bad or not yet, no. I don't. I haven't seen her say or do anything that I wouldn't expect her to say or do.I know her pretty well, but tbh, it's in regular games about day 3-4 when I get my feelings about her.

And while I'm here, I need to ask you, good doctor of the wiggle, - I've seen several people post defenses of you based on "he's from JMT." - Please explain this to me. I know during the champions game, there was all SORTS of cross over and we all met and blended and everyone is trying different things in different forums. Except that - I missed all that. I was sadly absent as I was acclimating to a new job and new responsibilities. So I don't know about your history at your home site and I don't understand what "He's from JMT" means. I want to understand that Please explain it to me. :)
MM summarized it relatively well. So far, from what I have seen here, I would describe JTM being a... Saltier environment? Yes, saltier! that's the best word to describe it. Votes not being locked within the thread mostly serve as a tool for debate.

The llama vote that preceded your MP vote remains unexplained unless I missed it. Why did you place that vote?

Regarding your explanation for voting MP: citing an intent to increase pressure on him strikes me as a rather fruitless endeavor. MP was already under a solid amount of pressure (as he so often seems to be around here) and he was spewing a great deal of content in the face of that pressure. What more did you need from him to substantiate your read? The post you referenced to expand on your suspicion does not do your vote much justice either -- it's a very minor post within the fuller context of MP's post history and frankly very easy to criticize.
This,
DrBeautiful (Wilgy) wrote:The Llama vote and analysis are two different things, I wanted to see what would happen if a vote was placed on Llama. That's all.
I've never played in a game where votes are not changeable. This has lead to a curiosity based voting habit.

And in regards to MP,
I disagree with you seeing my attempts as fruitless, and that is where we are different. Where there is information to be gained, I will gladly take all I can get, even if it means placing a vote on someone who is already spewing *Shivers* That word... It is not a good word...

Aaannd...
*Wilgy throws down a smokebomb, but, to his dismay, a breeze picks up and blows the smoke away. Wilgy is left standing there with an awkward smile facing his friends*
/sigh... Perhaps you are right about my vote, but I am still very suspicious. The power of suggestion is a strong thing, and I'm willing to criticize anyone willing to use it in a dangerous manner. Maybe I haven't fully adjusted to this environment.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 3)

The C-130's propeller's were roaring through the sky. The pilot looked back at Wilgy and gave him a thumbs up. At the same time, MM and Unfurl awoke from a (somewhat forcibly induced) deep sleep, but before they could even enter a state of confusion wondering where they were, the back cargo door opened and Wilgy pushed them both (with parachutes) out of the plane. Wilgy then leaped from the plane behind them and, while laughing like a maniac and screaming they soared through the sky.

You've been quite touchy-feely with the players this game. What kind of doctor did you say you were?

Uzbekistan can lock the thread today, which I'm assuming means for the entirety of the day phase, so if you have something you want to say, it may be a good idea to get it out sooner rather than later.
OH! crap... I shouldn't have procrastinated... I got to sleep now, I will try to do as much as I can in the morning... I've been busy car shopping and torturing my little brother...

I'm upto date and I'm not voting for Golden. Sorsha, what has you thinking someone hounding him is framing him?

If it is one of the players hounding him, who are they? DH, SVS and rey?

*Pokes head over the window seal, looks inside to see Golden vs. the world still happening, ducks down just as quickly as he appeared. Some scribbling is heard, and a note appears on the window seal, nobody seems to notice the note though.*

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 3)

*Roxy notices the note and reads it*

Vote registered for SVS

Out of everything I've observed, I'm uncomfortable with how hard both SVS and Rey went in on Golden. I still think Golden is neutral, he's posting too much without doing anything that makes me think he's any worse than neutral. SVS is also one of the players that received a vote day 1, meaning there's a chance for her to be Azura. I'll change my vote to save Golden if needed, but only if he doesn't self vote.

Also, don't strafe too far away from the players that avoided lynch day 1 (this includes me... I know...).

*Another note appears on the window seal*

not Azura, but Ubzargan. I'm dumb and got the baddies names mixed up in my head. Ubzargan was immune to lynch day 1, meaning there's a higher chance of hitting him if we vote for those who received a vote day 1.

They day ended early though, should we assume it was lynch immunity? I haven't thought so.
*Flings a paper wad through the window, constant scribbling can now be heard coming from outside*

Just because the day ended early doesn't mean our votes at the time of the end were irrelevant. RNG chose someone to die out of all 12 of us that had 1 vote. RNG happened to choose someone that didn't die though.

RNG is short for Random Number Generator. Whenever something is at random it can be called RNG.
