Me and my lady friend have moved into together so it should make balancing the two a lot easier. So my hat goes off to anyone who has a significant other and plays mafia because it's extremely hard if your significant other is like mine and doesn't like cell phones or laptops out while we are hanging out. Lol
It really is. The key is negotiation. Good luck bass! And congrats, I'm happy for you! :workit:

So she pulls the old "look sweetie I'm naked!" Card does she? Well played lady friend.....well played....

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 0]

juliets wrote:I guess I'm just simple minded. Our objective as put forth by the game was this:

A riot at Arkham Asylum has resulted in the escape of multiple inmates and a string of brutal murders. The city has hired a group of independent investigators to determine the whereabouts of some of these escapees, as well as their killing streaks and how much cash they are hoarding. If you are willing to help, they are listening.

So as I see it we are the group of independent investigators and we are charged with determining the whereabouts and etc. of the escapees. Shouldn't we base where to go on this mission we are charged with? Am I thinking about this wrong? I'm still thinking to vote the Asylum because we can question other inmates as to possible destinations and other things I see the investigators do in real life (and on Law and Order, lol). I'll wait to see if any of you think this is the wrong way to think about it given our mission before I vote.

I don't know how many times in how many different ways I have to say this.
Ok zeebs - I I just wanna ask a couple questions. I'm sorry if you feel like you addressed them already. I've been spurt reading off and on from my phone since about 10 am my time (it's now almost 5) while on the road between working on my day off, the dentist and 2 trips to the grocery. I will admit that LOTS has gone down this day 0 that I've only about half processed - both with you and Matt and Enrique and Golden (which I don't even think I can comment on till I re-read these 7 pages cuz it starts hurting my brainz by about the 3rd post each of them made)

I'm not asking you questions because I suspect or don't suspect you. I'm asking for clarification cuz I'm addle minded.

JC pointed out earlier - that perhaps going to the Asylum was a good idea because it's the scene of the crime (IE - the breakout) - I can see the logic in that. What good does it do to investigate places where crimes haven't happened? (IE the Police Station.)

Is your worry that the choice is bad because the civ's won't gain info from it?
Or because it feels like it's obviously slanted to give a faction not civ (IE - team batman and team cops) an advangage?
Monopoly is the only map game I've played and I replaced late in the game and pretty much ignored the map mostly and only made it to the end of that because I found my color teammie and we accepted the rockcon olive branch. So this is all pretty new to me.
Or were you worried about it because it gained pretty large popularity with little discussion like this?

That's part of it. I've been finding his tone disingenuous. Hard to say if its MP trying to invest less.
I'm more than happy to own up to my suspicions and thoughts and take responsibility for my votes, so if you're concerned about that, your concern is misplaced. I was willing to throw a civilian read of Dom out there, however slight, and I'm still standing by it now. If I turn out to be wrong, then that's mafia, so be it, and I was willing to joke about my propensity to read Dom incorrectly due to thinking with absolute confidence he was bad when spectating GoC 2015 only to be proven incorrect again.

I am consciously trying to invest less. Finding it a bit difficult to at the moment, but I'm trying, because I always overinvest myself, especially in these large games for some reason. I really can't afford the emotional energy to do that even remotely right now.
If I'm a slight civ read, why set me up for an easy vote later like that?
I'm not setting anything up. If anything, it should be absolutely transparent what my thoughts of you have been. If I decide to find you suspicious later, then you and others should rightfully grill me for why I've changed my mind.

Why would you think I would (1) set you up and (2) could even get away with a future vote like that?

I should be willing and able to reassess anyone at any moment, including you, and I don't want to feel locked into my opinion of you; I don't need a joke in order for me to feel that way. It was clearly a joke, and the object of nothing nefarious. I was trying to start out playing this game light-hearted, but it seems my tone is shifting, and I'm getting too far sucked in.
Like I said prior...bookmarked, not lynched. :p You two. It never takes either of you long does it? ;)

Be light-hearted MP. It will do your soul well. :nicenod:

linki - thank you zeebs! I appreciate your response to my dumb questions. :) Are you still satisfied with your dock vote on both a it could help the civs gain info level and also on a eff it day 0 level? I'd be interested in knowing if your opinion changes to a different option as it goes along to what you would vote and why.

Okay so basically this is all i can gather from spending 30 minutes reading form page 2 to page 8:

Enrique vs. golden

Zebra vs Matt

Zebra vs. MovingPictures07

some misc. people conjecturing here and there

*GIANT QUOTE WALLS*

basically another way of me saying this is. Rather than going on a long winded rampage against someone, over what? a small comment? Like it seems most of the debates have started over just the silly picking of the first location. like yes, it's probably important. but like are we really getting anywhere with going back and forth on "how many times you said the word Frozen Yogurt in that paragraph" (this is sarcasm. terrible sarcasm)

but i digress. What i would like to see is a straight and simple reason that people are suspicious of someone. As my teacher once said "I didnt ask you to explain, i asked you do it."

Rant over-ish. You honestly cannot form your own opinion over the people who have the giant post counts so far in the thread since you basically have to side with one or the otd scratched off the list to vote for. In reality this is a Mafia dream. ESPECIALLY IF IT'S ALL TOWN ARGUING. Like sit back, let them blow up for a couple days. once it dies down, start building on their mistakes.

FWIW - here's how I sit on day 0. No lynch happening today.

Golden vs Enrique. - Pedantic. They are the opposite sides of the same coin. They sus each other for doing what the other did. I get each main point of the argument. I tuned out after it got pedantic. I think they are both likely civ till evidence says otherwise.

zeeb vs matt - This one is interesting as zeeb is zeeb and matt is matt. I can see matt's initial point, but I feel better about zeeb than matt after it's all said and done. It still should be pointed out though that we are no where NEAR a lynch yet. We SHOULD kinda maybe be talking about the Day 0 poll....

zeeb vs MP - I don't really see this one as a conflict tbh. I get where zeeb might think so at first, but MP seems ok thus far and if he were bad, I don't think he'd have worked so hard to try to clarify what zeeb was saying.

No, the game IS deciding whether to lynch the Penguin or not... along with all the other independents.

I'm saying... those decisions are contextual and can be made based on the circumstances. Lynching every single independent is not necessarily a must-do. Lynching some is a must do, but not necessarily all.

But ALL of the mafia must die.
TBH - Golden AND Enrique - I feel like both of you are having at the earliest - a mid-game conversation on DAY FRACKING 0.

I get both sides. I really truely do. And maybe in the end that one cop is dead and that one indy can survive.

But svs had it right. Can we focus on not lynching civs because we disagree with how we should play the endgame on DAY FRACKING 0?

And although MP & I are wildle different, that is one way we are the same. Some people can man up & grow a sense of humor about themselves, and some cannot. So I tend to view mocking, or making fuin of peoples opinions, as aggression.

It's a fault I have.
I understand having a problem with mocking the person, but just before you said it was mocking the suspicion, and that that wasn't a good look. Which is it? I'm having a very hard time trying to understand where you stand. I'll think that you feel one way and then you'll say something that makes me think otherwise. I know it's not your fault but it's extremely frustrating. I'm not sure how much of this you're trying to imply is alignment-indicative, how much of it you're saying is something you take personal not game-related issue with, how much of it you're being sarcastic about, I just don't follow you at all here. Same with the post before this that you made. Like what were you saying by stating that "alarming" is an adverb? Was that meant to be relevant, were you just being funny, and in either case what did I say that you were responding to by saying that? Sorry if I'm being interrogative and rant-y, I'm just agitated that I still can't seem to properly communicate with you in this game just like the last. It's not what I want and I feel that it's my fault.
We could not communicate in the last becasue you were a baddie trying to kill me, making a mountain out of a molehill, lol.

And I am not saying it is alignment indicative. I am saying I wish you would stop mocking MP or anyone for suspecting you, or questioning you. You say something, or a number of things, that make total sense to me and I feel all warm and fuzzy, then you say something like "just sayin" or mock someones suspicions of you by putting words in quotes, anf the warm fuzzy just evaporates. Your content is not baddie to me; it's the sarco-trimmings that keep pulling me back in.

Again, it's a failing of mine.

And having read THs case, I respect TH tons, and take him very seriously. He brings up a lot of good points.

TH did you play Dune? I don't remember, iirc, sig was actually bad there.

Linki @ Mac, Bass has struck me,he seems to be dancing around TH. Am I wrong, Bass?
svs -is your tone issue with zeebs similar to how my feather's got just a BIT ruffled when I heard MP say he was trying to "engage" zeebs?

PLEASE NOTE ALL OTHER PLAYERS - this is something specific I'm asking SVS and no one else should take offense or meaning to. I do not think MP is bad I do not think zeebs is bad. I'm personally asking SVS a tone question that really only she prolly understands.

Ugh. You guys. It was my first day back to work and already I'm dying. 1000 lunch. On wed. 5.99 at a time. Each day is only going to get worse till Sunday is over. :(

My brain glossed over some of the things I've read over the past 6 oages, but there was low poster talk. For me, I depends on the poster and the contributions and all sorts of things. I think it is more relevant say day 4 than day 1 tbh. That's just me.

I am in the do not talk about the apartment camp. When crafty hosts are that clear before we even saw what the map was/could do, it gives me more than enough reason to refrain from talking about it too.much. then things got blurry. Sorry.

I have to get up in the wee hours of the morning and do this all over again. I will try to have something more than me just summing up what I think I've read soon.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 1]

Look - you guys. I know I'm the suck and I'm going to continue to be the suck.

It is large 5.99 two topping pizzas this week across PHX at our stores. So, if you are in the hood, let me know, I can hook a brotha up. But only at my location. Don't give money in PHX to anyone but me. Cuz you guys love me right?

That said - here's the trend on that special. You are slow beginning of the week and it gets progressivly more busy as word spreads and people cram to order at the price point while they can. Makes sense right?

My first day back - wed was a 1000 lunch I worked before any other inside help showed up. On a wed. That is unheard of. I did totally take like 4 hours out of my day to enjoy the very nice dinner with wine that my hubby prepaired for me srrsly BDH/Diggz is getting some amazing kitchen skills these days!!

Today was only 1400. Thank god Friday lands on a night cycle because I CAN'T EVEN.

I know even now going into it that Sunday's lynch is going to land right the eff in the middle of the last day of 5.99 carry out. And I can either vote 10 hours early or try to hang on and stay as caught up as possible and fly by vote.

That's it you guys.

Those are the two options that voting bea has. I can't say I made the most informed day 1 vote I've ever made, but I can't also say I've made the least sucky one I've ever made.

You all have to really really understand that till at least Monday - my whole life is OMGFUCKINGPIZZA RIGHT NOW!!! Cuz that's what pays the bills and it eats up 12 plus hours of each of my day from friday to sunday. I can only HOPE no major catastrophe happens so that I can actually be around a little bit on monday....followed by a tues/wed day off then all hell breaks loose again.

This is my cycle every week. No matter what game I play.

So now - N1 poll....

linki - Dom - thank you for reminding me.

Welcome Sabie!! I've missed seeing you around too. how's it?

Dom - given that Sabie has now replaced in - do you find scotty more or less suspish? I can see where you are coming from in the quiet of being able to catch up and think about now that things are kinda quiet and not OMG FUCKING PIZZA NOW!!!
(and I'm looking at the ticker and thinking eat now, go to bed by x time, hit first snooze alarm at 6. second at 6:30 I can be at the store by 8....really I can....)

As far as the N1 poll goes, I'm down with exploring, but there's also this bit in my hed that wants to go back to the same place twice just to see if the message changes.

I'm still going to keep what I heard close to my chest - unless I see a good reason to not head the host warnings.

Speaking of hosts.

Doesn't Epi hate ties? I can't rememer off the top of my hed what his meta is for ties as a host though. I think him saying something about it being a stop not a tie should be considered.

I know that more of my post should have been in green than what was but I can't be assed to figure out which parts of it were relevant to game play because IMO my schedule is relevant to my game play.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 1]

that's a fair point dom. And also can't you have a bit of tunnel vision just a bit because it's MP? Would you feel the same way if he had been saying that about Zeeb or Matt or Enrique or Golden? I do also get that he said MP was his biggest suspish and he went with no poster vs suspish.

I'm just asking the question cuz I feel like, for the sake of fairness I should. Ya know?

also - I really like BR's catch up. It makes me sad she wasn't around while all this was going down, but happy she is here now.

You weren't around while all this was going down either, so this seems like a weird comment. A similar catch-up from you would be likewise appreciated though :D
I can go back and relook at anything you want me to look at TH. Which things did you not think I sufficiently commented on?

TBH - the only thing I can think of I haven't commented on is this bit with Griff/sig which I don't think I completely understand well enough to comment on as from what I can tell it involves some meta from other games at other sites.

Oh and griff. Griff reminds me that SVS is a thing. This is the thing. SVS is way better at reading me than I ever am at reading her. I've not seen anything that makes me think she's bad yet, but I've not seen *my* civ SVS either. I usually need about 3/4 days to know for sure and tbh I'm usually lynched by then when we play together.

Are you thinking there might be a connection with SVS and sig?

I think a safe bet in reading me this game is much like GoC. That you just hosted. I concider it a feat to keep caught up. Even if I miss some of the details. I'm happy to go into depth if you want my opnion on things I've read and not commented on.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 1]

I would also like to point out that what BR is doing right now is how I have caught up so often in the past. And someone always laughs or disses me for it. Bea's wall of posts. Bea just posted 10 things in a row. I'm not saying YOU did that TH. But it's something I struggle with lots. So you know, how to do catch up is always difficult *for me* given how many people tend to just gloss over me anyway.

I've thought in past games that I've said important things only to be told I just ramble. And read 4 posts later someone else say what I thought I just said.

I've tried so hard to adapt my play style to fit both my schedule and the fact that there is usually no one around when I'm reading stuff and able to talk. And I never seem to find that sweet spot.

Turnip Head wrote:My beef with SVS isn't that she missed the vote or that she wanted to vote for her top suspect. It's that she was in "Anyone but me" mode at the early stages of EoD and that seemingly continued right up until the buzzer. She didn't give reads on Scotty or Wilgy and I recall her being suspicious of Zebra but didn't put a vote there. That gives me a distinctly indy vibe from her and I'd like her to prove that vibe wrong. I plan on giving her some breathing room to operate Day 2 because I know it's easy to lose sight of other things when you're fighting for your own life.

Wilgy and bea are my top suspects. I told Wilgy I'd present him with my history lesson so for anyone curious here's his ISO from Recruitment IV (unrecruited then civ) and Pikmin (where he was civ and, in this very thread, claims to have barely played). Let the record show that in Pikmin he had 22 posts in the first 48 hours of the game and attempted to engage multiple players in multiple discussions. In this game he had 8 posts in the first 72 hours, granted this game is of larger scale than Pikmin. In Star Wars he had 5 posts in the first 72 hours. Take from that what you will. But his rate of posting isn't the only reason he's suspicious to me. The only player I see him engaging in meaningful discussion here is Mac who he's agreeing with, I don't see him trying to engage in discussions with others who's opinions do not line up with his own, unless it's to defend himself or toss out a quick read. As I said before Wilgy could go a long way toward changing my mind by proving he's engaged with the game, and I didn't get him lynched Day 1 so he has that chance now.

For bea I feel she is trying to fly under the radar. I said before that her lack of catch up posts makes me think she's reading the thread and reacting to it at different times and that makes me feel like she's trying to be careful. She did say that she wasn't doing her catch-up posts because she gets flak for doing them but I hereby give her permission to do them again because those posts help me get the best feel for her as a player. In addition I've mentioned her a few times now but those mentions seem to have gone unnoticed and I don't know bea to be a player who doesn't respond to posts about her. When bea is civ I can usually feel it and I'm not feeling it this game. She too has a chance to prove her civvieness to me going forward. And you know I love ya bea.
 love you too TH. Thank you. Really thank you for the permission to be as annoying as I know I am. Because I do always feel that weight of being annoying. I saw while catching up mac give br flack for trying to 'up her post count' doing what I normally do. And yea. All I could think is - this. This is why when I do that, I'm always, 'i'm so sorry, I know this is annoying. i'm trying the best I can. please tell me how to make this less painful for everyone else.' and yes, I do note that no one ever says how I can make that better.

This has been an exceptionally hellatious RL week for me. i got a decent nights rest last night. i have delicious dinner now. i promise that I am learning to let go and all that.

I have one problem driver who every day she works and doesn't work a living hell for me. She offends my customers, she solicits tips to them, she bitches at me every fucking shift about how much money she isn't making. i would have transfered her a month ago except the company fired one of my am's and one of my drivers and I literally needed a warm body to work a shift. I have bent over backwards to help this woman out. She didn't have appropriate uniform pants - so I went with her and bought them. Because I knew money was tight with her. On the QT - only my old boss knows I did that and expensed it to my store. She needed to work extra hours, i gave her a store that would let her pick up extra shifts. She complained that she wasn't making enough money at my store I moved her to rushes. Then i was bad because I was making her work at night and she didn't feel safe. (desite closing - working till 1 or 3 am at the other store which shares a neighborhood with me) This week she wreaked havoc on both my days off by calling off. My first day back to work she was a no call/no show and wouldn't answer her phone and was my opening driver. Once she got the message about her transfer happening she was all cheery and stuff and showed up today -till she got one stiff on one tip - then it's all fuck this neighborhood fuck this everyting i'm going home now. While i normally wouldn't tollerate my staff telling me what they do, i flat out got her out before her shitty ass attitude wreaked EVEN more havoic on my store than it aready has. 2 more days. 2 more days then the cancer who has caused me to loose sleep, who has made me cry more times than I can count. Whom I literally can not help in any way shape or form is officially NOT MY PROBLEM ANYMORE.

Th - i know i've been different the past few days. This RL shit has been building for a while and it all came to a head this week. And every part of my life has been affected by it.

I haven't really read bea as bad per se, but I have noticed some posts from her that would work as an MP teammate.
Or you know, someone who a) knows his RL is pretty hectic and b) who has misread him a bunch before and c) prefers not to see hyper MP on drugs and stuff. Ask him what I did to him as a host once. That's a great story. I'm asking questions about him because I'm curious. I'm not so quick to judge him bad just in case. I feel like he has earned just a little bit of leaway here this early in the game. Am I wrong in thinking that? If so why?

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 2]

also - woot - dinner is ate and I am caught up!

RIP Wilgy.

I will admit as I read the night post (and a fine night post it was LC) - I was kinda thinking it was a weird call for a night kill. I will admit though, reading along -sorsha makes a good point. I had not thought about mafia thinking that he could be Robin.

I feel like the thing between sig and glor is more rooted in a history I've not experienced with them. At times I find myself siding with both of them. And then second guessing each time I side with one or the other of them.

I don't see SVS as being anti-town. Maybe TH has it right, maybe she's indy - or maybe I just haven't seen my personal OMG SVS is a civ thing yet. I swear I know it when I see it and no I'm not sharing it because then she won't do it any more. I do think though that SVS's attention got focused on the drama unfolding in the thread and genuininely lost track of time. 10 minutes is excruicatingly long when you are stuck in a line. It's excruciatingly short when you are caught up in a good book or a big dinner rush or something that captivates your complete attention. I don't think - regardless of alignment, she would have intentionally missed a vote.

And with that, I'm off to bed for the night. 6 hours of sleep then off to the races again! :sigh:

sig - thank you for the kind words. Believe me, you would not believe what a difference a few days will make. It's been a drain that has personally wreaked havoic on me, my free time, my family time and my business. And outside of that, it has put a damper on the mostly great place I work. As I tell them all "this job sucks ass, but the people I work with are amazing and I love you all." When one of the kids go rouge like this, the rest of the kids are all not happy either and mom gets super fucking stressed out because outside of her bitching I have to listen to EVERYONE ELSE bitch about her while also trying to remain professional. :sigh:

so much more linki!!!

MP - it's a fair point that both you and mac make about the possibility of wigly being Robin.

no for realzies. More 12 hour work day bullshit. Bed for me!!

Now, with made insane I usually would've assumed the hosts meant through LC's insanifier. I don't think that's the case anymore. Not only has no one been insanified (Bass, Bubbles, ekeknat, Equivocate, and sprityo still haven't shown up~ there's time to refute this), but Matt insists on posting in knock knock jokes only. Is there another role that does anything like that? What makes more sense? These are the secret roles.

Which of these do you think is the likeliest to make a player speak in fucking knock knock jokes? Fucking Batman? NO. You could maybe make a case for the Riddler, but it'd be a shitty case. This is 100% the Joker's territory.

You know what Matt could do to prove he's not cursed by the Joker? He could fucking speak in anything other than knock knock jokes. It's not that hard!

So, okay, reading the Joker's role... how do you become cursed? You need to target the Joker. Anyone who targets the Joker will be made insane. Okay, cool, now what roles could've possibly targeted him? There aren't that many roles in this game who do stuff at night, let's see which ones do.

Bruce Wayne
During the Day, Bruce Wayne conducts business. At Night, he is Batman. *Secrets*
"At Night, he is Batman." Great, we don't know anything about this role. This could conceivably Matt, but I have a few reasons for believing he's not.

Anyone who read the thread remembers when he got the idea that I was "painting a target on his back" and wouldn't shut the fuck about it for a whole page. This is the post where a lightbulb switches and he starts accusing me of that. This is after Nero first mentioned the idea that if Montoya did her fucking work at night then Matt MUST be her. Because only one player is allowed to use their power each night apparently. What Matt does here is basically take my argument against MP, and retroactively apply it to his case like he had any fucking clue where his defense was going in the first place. You're outing me! You're painting a target on my back! Fuck off I'm trying to lynch you because you're bad as shit. No baddie is gonna touch you with a ten-foot pole when you're making yourself look so fucking bad in the thread.

Then he made this post, which really got my attention.
Matt wrote:
juliets wrote:Matt, you've become a master at communicating through the knock knock jokes. Do you think you could tell us why you didn't respond to zebra's post yesterday (Friday)? Maybe you explained this somewhere and I missed it. If so, just refer me to your iso.
Knock knock.

Who's there?

Zebra

Zebra who?

Nah more like Zebra where?, but regardless, I've been busy but I suppose I promised I would answer her, so I will do that now in the form of knock knock.

Linki

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Enrique

Enrique who?

Enrique who I'm betting is partners with Nero, so if I do get lynched, DO NOT let him get away with saying "Oh I guess Nero is good then", because I'm betting that's exactly what he'll say when I flip and I'm not mafia.
"Zebra who? More like Zebra where?" Okay, maybe I'm reading too much into this, but to me it looks like he's owning up to the Renee role. That line definitely gave me pause, because Zebra hadn't posted all day, and Matt had every reason to silence her if he could. But he didn't. She showed up just a little while later, and away went the chances that he was good.

I don't think he's Batman, because then why the hell would he claim another civive role? Not to mention, if he's a civ and not deliberately stirring shit, he's gotta be some sort of fucking moron to interpret my (and Zebra's on Day 1) posts the way he has. I have a higher opinion of Matty than that, so I'm sticking to him being bad.

Detective Harvey Bullock

I'm not letting this slide. There's like no fucking chance that he's Detective Bullock, but I'm going over every possibility just to show you how bad he is. This is Bullock's role.
Detective Harvey Bullock
Bullock tracks or kills someone each Night. He has just one kill. Better make it a good one.
Okay, so for Matt to be detective Bullock, he must have decided to use his kill on the first night of the game, he must've been blocked (or otherwise targeted Wilgy and the Mafia got blocked, which doesn't seem the least bit likely), and he must have a fucking good reason to claim Montoya instead. So yeah I don't have a lot to say about this one except I feel pretty comfortable ruling it out.

Detective Renee Montoya

I already went over this pretty much in the Bruce Wayne section. This is the role he tried to claim, didn't work out. But to add to it, his recent insistence that wait maybe Nero is the Joker after all! hints that instead of Zebra he might've targeted Nero. Well, if he was Montoya, then that obviously didn't happen because Nero has been posting like normal all day. He relies on us being completely stupid to believe his shit, and yeah, it's not working out well.

Victor Zsasz
Victor Zsasz
Kills on odd Nights. Blocks on even Nights. The bought cop inherits the kill first.
This guy killed Wilgy, so no. Unless, again, Zsasz got blocked and it was Bullock who killed Wilgy. A little beyond unlikely.

OR, actually, unless Wilgy was the Joker. I do still think there's a good chance the Joker was being the no-lynch yesterday, so it would make some sense. I still think this is a very unlikely option but the possibility is left open.

Tony Zucco
Tony Zucco
Kills on even Nights. Blocks on odd Nights. The bought cop inherits the kill first.
This one's a bit more interesting. Epig didn't want to answer, but in my experience, passive roles don't get blocked. Zucco could have blocked the Joker and got insanified as a result. Keep in mind, his team recruited last night as well. I've talked about this before, but I think it's possible Nero and Matt are teammates as of today. Just look at this post:
Nerolunar wrote:Renee(possibly Matt) targeted the Joker, becoming insane. I don´t know if the ability still works on the Joker or not, but if it doesn´t and nobody is silenced then Matt has to be Renee. It all depends on whether or not the Joker is still hit by the ability, but his role description doesn´t explain it.

This could go for any other role where the effect is easy to spot, though I don´t recall any other role where that is the case.

Im going to ask:

@Hosts: Is the Joker still hit by the ability that targeted him, even if he made the source insane?

Christ this linki.
Contrived bullshit. If no one is silenced (ha yeah we're gonna prove that), then Matt has to be Renee? No.

(Small correction to a mistake I made somewhere: Nero didn't say that if Montoya used her role then she had to be Matt. He said if Montoya didn't use her role, then she had to be Matt, because the Joker would've blocked her. This of course is ridiculous because we have no reason to assume the Joker is immune to all night powers.)

So, okay, back where I left off. I just ISO'd Matt and found that his obsession with he who mentions the Riddler has got to be him! is something new to after he got cursed. Their only interaction previous to that was Matt defending SVS to him. There's also this which is Nero saying "eh idk about Matt" but it seems pretty harmless to me.

There may be something here, there may not be. Matt is playing a bullshit game when he says oh but he was sure Nero was the Joker! No that he was Mafia! This is the post he's talking about:

And what's your point? If I'm right, then he almost died yesterday, and would have if it wasn't for Robin. Does that mean I shouldn't have said anything? I'm not running any risks. Civilians should lay everything out there; what good can we do if we keep everything to ourselves?

Rupert Thorne
Rupert Thorne
An independent crime boss who has little strength as yet, Thorne will decide on any given Night whom he wants to help. He will gain BTSC as a consultant with that person (and any co-conspirators) and share that person’s win condition.
This would make him the Joker's teammate. Bad.

Catwoman
An adept thief, Selena Kyle steals one person’s win condition. If her target ever votes for her, she becomes paranoid, and must choose someone else to steal from next.
The Joker's win condition, so essentially a BTSC-less team. Bad.

The Scarecrow
The Scarecrow
Dr. Jonathan Crane uses his fear toxin to cause people to dread those they might otherwise trust. Using this toxin on one target per Night, that target will need the role the Scarecrow names dead in order to win. Crane can never target the same person more than once. If The Scarecrow is lynched, then he gives up the antidote and those new win conditions no longer apply. Over half of the living population must be hallucinating for The Scarecrow to be successful.
This guy makes it harder to win and turns us against each other. Bad.

The Riddler
The Riddler
Edward Nygma has questions that need answering. *Secrets*
Who the fuck knows but Arkham are baddies anyway. Bad.

(would line up with Dom's "baddies love to talk about their roles" as well when he's accusing Nero of being the Riddler out of fucking nowhere)

Two Face
Two Face
Two Face takes a hostage every Night. If someone targets Two Face with any negative action, a coin is flipped. Heads means that he takes it. Tails means that his hostage takes it. Harvey Dent wins with civilians on odd phases. Two Face wins with Mafia on even phases.
Jeez this would probably be the least surprising, given how he's acting like a maniac. This guy can win with (most) civilians, yes, but that's also a dangerous as fuck role and it's bad.

Poison Ivy

This guy could actually be kinda good but also not, and his death is beneficial for at least four civvies. We don't even know if he does anything at night, so, a little less likely than the others anyway.

Mr. Freeze
Mr. Freeze
Dr. Victor Fries is researching a way to save his beloved wife, Nora from a terminal illness. Renee Montoya has the right genetics for him to save Nora. Using his freeze ray, Mr. Freeze blocks up to two targets each Night. Montoya must be frozen twice for him to win. If Montoya dies before Mr. Freeze completes his task, he goes cold, and becomes last man standing, killing each Night.
If Montoya dies, super fucking bad. Otherwise kinda harmless, but let's not take that risk.

All of this added to the fact that he's acting like a fucking moron seals the deal for me. Matt is BAD and I can't stress this enough. Zebra thinking he's genuine after he overshared gives me a little pause, but not enough. I think it's worth remembering that their whole thing was more about him being a dick than being a baddie. I think he's both.
This post is amazing. Clear. And makes sense. Thank you Enrico suave.

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Enrique

Enrique who?

Enrique, if you believe I targetted the Joker and was thus cursed, why do you show little interest in lynching the guy I named as a top lynch candidate, why are you saying "I don't know" when YOU SHOULD KNOW since you are convinced your theory is correct...you make no sense.

Linki

Knock knock Bullz

Who's there?

FortheloveofGod

FortheloveofGodwho?

For the love of God, Bullz, I have been explaining that I've only used "Nero is the Joker" as a way to ask Enrique why he is so AGAINST lynching him, but NO, I have NO reason to believe that Nero is the Joker. :disappoint:
Ok. Crap. Now this makes sense too.

Not to mention having a role in the game that amounts to "if you are targeted the player who targets you advertises it to the thread via posting like a retard" and that role being anti-town is a joke.

Holy crap. That makes a tone of sense. And one I hadn't thought of through the entire reading of this. Belive it or not, but I have not had experience at that site or with that will I before so I had thought made insane would translate to insanity too.

Re: Arkham Mafia [Day 2]

So basically you are saying yes Matt was likely cursed but here is why it most likely wasn't by the Joker. Yes?

I'm not actually dismissing the possibility that he was cursed by The Joker. Maybe The Joker can do that as part of his secrets. I am dismissing the possibility that it occured via Matt having targeted him.

Matt's suspicion of Nerolunar is based on Nero talking about the Riddler. Matt is probably The Riddler and thinks Nero is the cop that needs him dead.
Oh. So I half understood it. I will take what I can get today. Thank you for clarifying.

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Does anybody

Does anybody who?

Does anybody else think "I always worry that my" was supposed to go into a btsc chat instead of here?
How and why
Knock knock.

Who's there?

Well

Well who?

Well it looked like, to me at least, "Lots to think about and little time for posting." was a fitting end to that short post, and in addition, bea hasn't been back to clarify (however, I do acknowledge her work schedule, and whether that last part was supposed to be part of her message OR btsc, it's probable she doesn't have much time to post anyway), but nobody else sees this as a possibility?
It's not. I'm literally sitting in an illegal spot of my supply chain center picking up dough. I have two more stops to make. I believe I was going to say something about worrying about my late-night catch ups re black Rock but saw the time and just didn't back space far enough during my rush. Aaannnnd. Still be hind and time to hit the road....

Re: Arkham Mafia [Night 2]

Awesome lynch result is awesome!

Also how am I 5 pages behind again?
MacDougall wrote:So...

Nero defended Zebra from the big bads while she was being criticised on day 0 for her whackiness around the thing with the Arkham voters. Nero made a post with a scum read on Zebra out of nowhere after having a civilian read on her that Zebra didn't call him out on at all. Zebra of all people didn't call out the guy who made the weak scum read on her. Zebra.

Zebra said she had no ping on him at all while defending him with an admittedly wifom "new bad wouldn't play like this" (like what exactly). She was actively campaigning in his defense while he was going down.

Seems pretty obvious to me.
This is a pretty impressive point mac.
